I've been watching the latest season of Call the Midwife at the same time as season three of the Bad Batch because apparently I just love feeling emotional turmoil? Anyway, it occurred to me today that they definitely share characteristics.
(I'm using the original Midwife cast because there's so many new characters lately, and this is just for fun)
Hunter and Sister Julienne

trying to make it work
they've seen some stuff but haven't lost their way
my partner convinced me to give Palworld a try and I can't believe I'm saying this but it's such a good game? like, I'm shocked.
I was not a Pok茅mon kid and never even tried playing the games, so when I read that it was like a copycat I thought I'd hate it.
here we are 35 levels and lots of hours later and I have explored like maybe 25% of the map, I'm still having a blast, and I legit can't believe it's still in early access. it has features, already well implemented, that some AAA games had to have modders create.
oh yeah, and you can customize your experience at any time by just changing the settings to your world. want to make things more difficult? sure. want to have everything spawn on you at once? go ahead. play it as a farming simulator or min max the shit out of it, you can do either or both. like馃憣 ggs devs
plus, you know. I can give my sheep a machine gun and use my fox as a flamethrower. 10/10 for that alone
'cause I just woke up unable to move, watch as the fabric of the pillow I was hugging suddenly start to stretch into a screaming face that let out this sound like Kayako from the Grudge and I could feel my heart beating so fast and fear gripped my body until I started to tremble.
And that's when I realized I could move.
And I have no idea why I did it but I just...
Bit my pillow really hard, right where the screaming face was.
Just clamped down on that motherfucker and shook my head.
And then I woke up with my teeth still clamped onto my pillow.
Birthday story time aka why I started crying in the toy aisle of a store
So me and two of my friends went in to a mall to get some boba and plushies, I got this giant squishmallow from a store :3 we went to another store to check if they have other squishmallows and there we found these packs of mini sized squishmallows, each pack had six
I'm not paying too much attention to them - and then I see this fella in one of the packs:
Toh fans will already understand, but for the rest of y'all.... my favourite character, Hunter, has a bird palisman (a familiar of sorts) that looks exactly like this plush
I'd just watched the episode Hunter gets him in the day before and I guess that somehow triggered the emotions? Idk but I ended up, kinda half sobbing half exclaiming "It's lil rascal!" and then I just... started crying :') it got so bad my friend has to hug me to get me to calm down
So yeah that was fun. I love him to death and I will carry him everywhere I go from now on
me: I'm gonna go do some msq while I ponder those asks!
also me: [*proceeds to take a few gposes, then dozes on-and-off for a few hours with the Limsa bgm playing the whole time before waking up and getting a bowl of ice cream*]
i'm a twenty-two year old college graduate who has traveled through most of western europe that has only now just realized that the word "alpine" refers to things from or pertaining to the alps.
What normal people focus on when they're working on their DnD character sheet.

I had a funny dream earlier, and it led to a discussion with my partner about having our wedding reception dress code be "pajama party". We both decided that, as awesome as that would be, BOTH of our parents would murder us. However, we also agreed it would be the COMFIEST wedding ever. But could you imagine a wedding reception in the New York Hall of Science that's one big pajama party? That would be so cool!
So today I strained some strawberry infused gin I made (homebrewing is a pretty serious hobby for me and I only really stopped because my current domestic arrangements don't allow me to the space I need for it). Now my plan was to blitz the strawberries and filter the mush to make sure I didn't lose any of the gin. But, since the strawberries ended up not really absorbing anything I decided to run out to a local supermarket and get some ice cream and white chocolate so as I could make an alcoholic smoothie type of thing (since I hate wasting anything, especially food).
I've now spent the past few hours drinking what can be best described as a surprisingly delicious pink goop. Anyone else got any recommendations?
