Imagine being able to time travel and going back to series 1 and telling Sister Bernadette that this will be her life! Telling her she’ll be honest with herself, with Patrick. She’ll leave the order but not her sisters. Sister Bernadette will become Shelagh, she will marry Patrick with everyone she loves most around her. Timothy will call her mum and love her so much more than she could ever imagine. Tell her she will be a mum to four children that worship and test her and Patrick at the same time. They will affectionately be known as ‘The Turners’. They will have their ups and down, but always have each other. She will continue to work in the community as a nurse and midwife, and that community will continue to love her dearly.
Imagine being able to time travel back to series 1 to tell Sister Bernadette that she will find her path in life and she will be loved, complete and fulfilled.

Evangelina found her sister where she had expected to, but hung back on the threshold hoping to watch her for a minute and gauge the lay of the land. It was harder with Julienne; she didn’t give off the same scent signals that Evangelina could read from the others. Still, she could read the nervousness in her constant movements, and her sister’s distraction was obvious in the fact that she’d yet to spot Evangelina’s presence.
“Can I help, Sister?” Julienne asked lightly, without turning around.
“I just wanted to see if you needed a hand,” Evangelina replied, stepping into the room. “And perhaps remind you that we’re not offering a maid service.”
Julienne turned to face her, running her hand over the front of her habit. “I just can’t settle.” Evangelina resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
“I hadn’t noticed,” she said dryly. “Did you make it to bed at all last night?”
“I don’t need–” Julienne began.
“As much sleep as the rest of us,” she cut in. “Less, not none.” It was not the first time that they’d had the argument over the years and she doubted it would be the last.
“I assure you,” Julienne said, rounding the bed. “I’m quite alright. Though, as always, I appreciate your concern.” She reached out to rest her hand on Evangelina’s upper arm.
“Yes, well,” Evangelina said. “Are we making this bed then?”

Ranking the Call the Midwife main character’s wedding dresses to deal with all of the feelings the latest episode gave me
7th - Chummy’s
Chummy, girl, I love you but what the hell was this the pattern is so bad you could’ve done better than this. Also you married a cop so you do get a few points knocked off for that
6th - Sheila’s original dress
She looks sad, so does the dress
5th - Violet’s
See this is how you do it Chummy and sad Sheila! The colour’s great, love the little veil on her hat, also great choice of husband no notes there
4th - Barbara’s
It’s cute, very Barbara, it’s just a little boring especially without the cape
3rd - Sheila’s actual dress
She looks great, love the lace, showing her shoulders slightly which is very iconic and scandalous of her, no notes
2nd - Trixie’s
Girl’s a fashion icon we knew she was gonna pull it out of the bag. Wasn’t a big fan seeing it from the distance at first but when I saw it closer up it grew on me. Love the fabric, love the little hat
1st - Lucille’s
She slayed this SO HARD, she looked so good! 10/10, no notes, absolutely iconic
