yo mutual i love ur tags fr because like u took the words right of my mouth i was so baffled how ppl would side with one more than the other because the autism pvp felt so real to me that i related to Both of them rlly a lot like. So much so it has cemented itself as rlly one of my fave scenes ever because it was a Step up for growth like that fight made them both better people . and it makes me mad ppl belittle toshiros experiences and like ignore his autism for the sake of pitting two bad bitches against each other Good Lord. The Nuance. There is Nuance. and ppl who ignore it just feels so personal to me as an autistic asian person who's been told that there's no way they're not "normal" like ive not been masking and not even like That well either.

Toshiro to me is like a similar vibe of Autism to Mob aka Shigeo Kageyama MP100 where he represses so much of his true feelings and opinions and emotions that he will just blow up one day (validly!!!) !!! like. let him be autistic in peace. not everything has to be a moral failure and not everything has to revolve around Laios just because hes the main character of Dunmeshi. Like they were both so relatable it hurts me...

but yeah anyways I really interpret the shuro and laios conflict as just two autistic people who just don’t mesh naturally? At the very least, it’s a complication between two people with very different cultures.

Both laios and toshiro are people who don’t exactly fit in. On shuro’s side, the source of his ‘otherness’ is a little redirected (is that the word?) because his status and nationality already set him apart on the island, but even back home he was reserved and didn’t socialize well. He struggles to connect with others and has a hard time being sincere!!! the argument between him and laios isn’t an evil neurotypical vs blorbo autistic, it’s conflict-avoidant autistic vs social cue blind autistic!

There isn’t really a right or wrong side here, Shuro tried communicating in the way he knew how, but he and laios just simply don’t understand each other’s languages. Their fight is a reset for the both of them; now they each know a vital fact about each other! Laios knows that Shuro has a hard time verbalizing discomfort, and shuro now knows that Laios needs to be told things to understand them. Now they can both find a middle ground and properly compromise between their two opposites.

and it’s important to note that if laios did know he was making shuro uncomfortable, he would stop as best as he knew how, all the way. This guy takes boundaries seriously, as long as there are clear lines to what those boundaries are. And he’s attentive to other’s needs! (See: him and chilchucks friendship. They understand each other very well, I could write a whole meta on it)

Now that he and shuro are seeing eye to eye, their friendship can now progress in a healthier fashion! This fight isn’t the end of the world. (Honestly having a fist fight is like third base to me but we won’t speak of that) Toshiro isn’t evil, he’s just a really cool foil to Laios, and their disagreement serves to establish important parts of their characters and to progress both their character arcs 👍

for some reasons, i always attract cancers?? which is weird to me cus when i was young n in a relationship with a cancer, we checked our compability for fun n the results made her break up with me LMAO it's actually hilarious to me! I LOVE cancers, i think they're interesting smart empathetic, i feel bad for em when they get made fun of (zion), they're a type of funny that keeps you listening! But there just always seems to be something that happens that just? Breaks our bond. It's crazy. My mom was a cancer n she tried drowning me when i was a baby but i still feel bad for her cus she was messed up n kept stayin with my dad so? It's a pretty good representation of all my relationships with cancers!

When cancers think you're funny, you'll know. They really KNOW how to give people the appreciation they deserve, even the most seemingly 'boring' of people. Hence their high compabilities with tauruses. (Kevin h*rt, cancer, and rock, taurus is a prime example of a cancer taurus dynamic working. Cancer can stroke a taurus' ego but keep them entertained at the same time by being clever & compassionate. While the taurus will give a cancer the undying loyalty & protection they deserve while showing them the greatest 'treat yourselfs' a taurus can conjure. Empathy & luxury, sensitivity & strength!!!) I'm lowkey jealous of their relationship! Because I WANT That with a cancer cus i LOVE cancers n seeing a taurus have that with them while i can't makes me hate tauruses. But you shouldn't because they can be super lovely too! It's easy to box them into boring but really, they're just comfortable! N want to stay comfortable! A cancer can keep them comfortable WHILE caring AND entertaining! It's very interesting to witness! If you are a cancer, seek out a taurus buddy!

N I THINK CANCERS ARE ATTRACTED TO ME CUS THEY THINK IM AN ARIES???? that could be an explanation... idk, like! I can spend some time with cancers n it's coo! But then somethin happens that requires dual sensitivity or more brashness n we can't click. You have us in a short conversation n we're GREAT though. A cancer will pay attention, hear, and laugh at all the quiet jokes you say under the louder speakers of the group. They're SO attentive that way, i LOVE it. I've had some of the funniest, comfortable conversations with them. Like lesbian he him bowser from Mario, we both agree about him n support him, king.

THEN a situation happens where i need to be more empathetic n they don't get why im not. Like in 4th grade the whole class took an honors math like skills test? N the teacher would call them up to her desk and tell them their scores. My cancer friend got a really good score n i cheered. You could overhear the scores because the teacher's desk was literally in the same room as the students. Just right next to their desks n she announced them super loud. N then i got called up n she basically told me i BARELY passed just BARELY. She didn't say it relieved but like. Concerned? Really disappointed n i still carry that with me cus i always remember when people yell at me or feel disappointed in me. N IT'S NOT LIKE parent tells you they're disappointed in you for playing ds past your bedtime, it's somehow more stupid like my piano teacher spending the whole session ripping on me over making a mistake in a classical practice piece with my older brother in the room. Idk, i hate feeling like i let people down IN FRONT of other people, pride thing. I try not to let it get to me as much n act rash as a reaction but it always will n ill always be struggling to work on it. But basically i did the worst in the class (it was an HONORS math class so everyone else was like einstein), and went back to my seat still smiling trying to be positive. I was like 'man who's next? I passed' n my cancer friend said 'no you didn't. You barely even passed.' All serious staring at me. N in front of everybody

N i don't cry genuinely cant, 'taught' not to by my dad. But that did hurt me cause it hurt my pride. But cus i don't cry, i got angry. Never talked to him again, just ghosted him out my life. Which sucks cus i still think about our old conversations, he was the funniest kid in baby school to me! And nicest too, once i lost something really important to me in the snow, n he went out to help me find it. We walked like 5 miles back for it to find it. Cancers are great, but we just can't remain right with each other.

I think he thought i was trying to hide my math test result from him n that hurt his trust? It sounds dramatic but we were kids so dramatic is probably the right answer lmao. We were both dramatic! Those 3 cancers weren't the only cancers ive met, but they've affected how i change myself with other cancers now. Kinda keep it distance, keep it to small fun talks but never actually hang out over the summer kinda fun. Cus i don't want our happy friendship ruined by something stupid coming along, which is easy to happen with two people that think they gel more than they actually do

#btw im no longer in the smart math classes anymore LMAO #but yea i rlly do love cancers tho they hold a softspot in my heart #idk if this speaks for all of em but from the ones i met theyre super skilled in STEM #most of my cancers had a lot of knowledge in medicine but not all of them pursued it #but they could tell me they studied 0 mins secs hours for the biggest biology test ever cus they were distracted by their fav celebrity #then pass the biology exam with flying colors #theyre like mad smart and easily get discounted for it sometimes for being 'the goofy one' of their group #but yea they hold a special love for their family n signs that are like that are loved by me!#caps taurus sag aries cancer !#i might not vibe with all of em well but i appreciate them a lot n wish i did #n im not stopped by the signs but it's like everytime ive tried to make shit work it just got worse #n eventually i got tired of shit getting worse so i just learned to be cautious #but yea we can be total friends over media tho! thats usually how i communicate best with them #i guess cus it gives me more time to rethink my responses b4 i say em? so yea i still keep good ties with some of my old cancer friends!#which im glad 4 because losing one sucks majorly #ted tumbunity things

i did like the hidden palace but (SPOILER if anyone hasn't read it?) i'm genuinely so annoyed at how Arbeely is handled like... I wish i could be sad but i'm just fucking irritated. I was overly invested in him and that's def why but i just feel like they did him dirty

#the golem and the jinni #i was scrolling goodreads and the take i kept seeing was 'oh I wish Arbeely could've had his family too bad the jinni FUCKED IT UP'#but idk that's just not how i read him. like thats not where i feel the problem is #his whole shtick is being content as the jinni's foil and like! things can change! but the way it's done leaves him totally unresolved #which in turn means the jinni's shit is also never getting resolved because there is like no way to #when Arbeely describes his future family in the first book it's all 'someday... vaguely...' and AGAIN! what you want can change!#and honestly it's really interesting and sad that he makes this sacrifice for the jinni #but it's a layer of complexity that like clashes with how little he is there for and how little the author's invested in him #and like the way the no marriage literally did not ruin his life at all... sure it sucked but the man is still like idk rich #what has continuously fucked with him throughout both books is that he wants (or at least spends half his page time thinking about)#emotional connection to the jinni in a human way #which is something the jinni cant\wont give him even though he's basically Arbeely's only close friend #(besides ig maryam who was rlly funny hinting at her dislike for the jinni like someone trying to get their friend to dump their toxic bf)#anyway the vibe in the first book is that he only thinks about wanting a wife when the jinni is being a dickhead #BECAUSE the jinni eases arbeelys loneliness by just being there because at the end of the day that's what humans need #but then it's made really weird in the second book by Arbeely getting 'trapped' by the jinni (and yet they just grow further apart)#which means that the only thing arbeely actually spent half his life discontent with and then literally died without is not a wife #it's emotional intimacy with the jinni. which is insane to me #arbeely is obviously already tragic but this seems TOO tragic entirely because the book doesn't give af about addressing it #if it was like a plot thing then all of the above would be fine and gutwrenching because it ties back into the jinnis self isolation #BUT IT'S NOT. like i get arbeely isn't that important to the plot but he was important to the jinni and the jinni was important to him #alsoo necessarily disclaimer i'm not trying to say he's in love with the jinni or anything like that #although a queer arbeely (divorced from the above idea) would also been interesting cuz I dont think the jinni has a grasp on homophobia #so idk theyd be keeping each others secrets (arbeely x the biscuit man? JOKE)#BUTTTT! I don't believe he needs romantic energy! him and the jinni having awful vibes up until arbeely's literal death is what bothers me #The jinni is a bad communicator ik but come on... not once? not even before the diagnosis? demigod. part-god woozi is just such a vibe okay, and he rlly does give off a hercules-type feel, where he can do inhuman things and seems almost untouchable in his awesomeness, even though he's right there in front of you. and he has a hatred of the gods and a mild tolerance for humans but at the end of the day, he appreciates and loves both for all that they do. (also in a percy jackson demigod sense, he is totally an apollo's kid and no i don't make the rules)

fae. y'all know how far my fairy minghao agenda runs by now and like ??? can you blame me ???? the idea of sassy smol hao with fairy wings and a squeaky voice is cute and all, but also i just think he fits the idea of the entire tall, mysterious fae folk really well too. with his pointy fae ears and his shrewd gaze and his ability to say half-truths and riddles and give sage advice about how to live your life all at once, he really is very much a fae-like person.

some sort of demon. he's so loud and bright and kind that, despite his huge presence and glowing eyes and the horns protruding out of his mess of fluffy hair, you don't even register that he's some dangerous, hellish creature before something happens and he just snaps, the air around him visibly darkening as he tears after the thing that caused him to lose control. he's so sweet and kind but so undeniably dangerous all at once.

dokyeom

elf. i'm thinking lord of the rings elves, except i haven't actually watched lord of the rings but i have this idea of them being tall and rich and elegant beings, and it makes me think of dokyeom. he's just so pretty, and the elves rely on the natural elements to survive, right? dokyeom is just so sunbeams peeking through forest leaves, so little rabbits bounding through the undergrowth, so hand-whittled arrows and folk songs around a campfire and tall, tall, beautiful elves.

will o’ the wisp or a sprite. he's endearing and mysterious, and once you gain his favour he's staying glued to ur shoulder for the entirety of your dangerous quest through the magical woods. he's very chatty and also very elusive, constantly flitting around in the air and disappearing in a wink of light before appearing on your nose once again. you can't tell if he's a help or a hindrance, but he's cute and bright and makes the journey a lot better

a smurf. smurfs count as mythical beings okay, and while ive never actually watched any smurf movie thing ever, i think vernon would make an absolutely brilliant smurf. they give off silly goofy weird adorable vibes, and that's basically vernon in a nutshell. also smol vernon with blue skin and lives in a mushroom looking house??? that's kinda cute and actually something that vernon might wanna do irl not gonna lie

nine-tailed fox. he's so mysterious and sexy and kind of dangerous but like. his unbelievable handsomeness kinda outweighs the danger. honestly i don't really have an explanation for this other than that the Vibes r there for some reason and he'd look so cool with those glittery wisps of magic threading through the air around him as his eyes glow a mysterious colour before he launches into a kdrama-esque fight sequence against the latest monster

your dates will either be aimlessly exploring the city and trying to find the best hotpot spots or food spots in general to just chill nights at your houses just enveloped in peace

you would feel so comfortable around each other, and could feel that the relationship was stable from the start

he seems like the type to communicate problems well and stress the importance of it. even tho it can be hard to communicate sometimes just in case it may hurt the other’s feelings, he makes sure to address the problem on the early stages because he cares and wants to be with you in the long run

he doesn’t seem like he would throw in this much effort for people he thinks isn’t worth his time and energy

the best thing about dating renjun would be that you would feel at home with each other, you guys realise early on that you are each other’s rock, that you can trust each other with your lives and be each other’s driving force to become your best selves

Hi! So you can call this a rant or a vent or whatever I don't rlly care - I just wanted to put some of my opinions out there bc it is eating me inside out to keep my opinions on Alastor's sexuality and all of the discourse about him being shipped to myself.

Also i'd like to state that I'm writing this as someone who is aroace but has no actual wish to be in a romantic relationship and actually struggles to so much as picture what that's be like for myself. I would also like to state how I'm not speaking for the whole community and others will have different opinions to myself.

Firstly - aroace is a spectrum (as someone who is on the aroace spectrum btw) and I completely agree with ppl who say that it is a spectrum and shipping has always existed and you can't rlly stop an entire fandom. My only problem is when ppl completely ignore that he is aroace while doing this, bc to me it seems like there's so much potential to having him have to go through those types of emotions and to write him off as if he's completely allo not only can make some people feel unseen but also just isn't as fun.

Also I kind of believe that he'd possibly date someone for the entertainment - like even if he didn't exactly feel romantic attraction maybe he'd be willing to be around someone closely bc he might like the reactions he'd be getting. (example: he might've stayed in a relationship with Vox maybe not out of pure attraction but if he found out that affection could make the TV short-circuit? He'd be interested)

Adding to that, I personally do not actually ship him with anyone romantically due to his character + the fact that I am projecting my own distaste for romance on him but you do you ig.

Also, on the note of nsfw around him - sometimes you cannot stop a fandom, rule 34 exists and some people who are asexual sometimes may want to have sex and all of that stuff. Personally I think he'd probably be sex-repulsed due to the fact that he canonically has issues with being touched.

ALSO, i personally think that way too many people are brushing over the idea of putting Alastor in a QPR - like that would literally be so awesome.

Alastor x Rosie? Cute af (to me Rosie gives of aro vibes too, but more romance - favourable) like they're already besties and honestly I think that Rosie would defo help him figure out about his identity considering that he's quite obviously not all that sure about slang and stuff.

Vox x Alastor - It has the potential to be SO FUCKING FUN like, you get to experiment with how they feel for each other, maybe what Alastor's got going on bc he died before being aroace was rlly a thing and he'd be confused about how he felt about Vox for sure.

Lucifer x Alastor - I quite like it, ik that Lucifer is supposed to be with Lillith but she did take an extremely long hiatus on her family up in heaven so i think it's okay. Plus the idea of them bonding and becoming close due to Charlie is wonderful.

Even angel and Alastor - maybe after Val Angel doesn't want a super sexual relationship - maybe he's not all that interested in something purely romantic either and though I love huskerdust this would still be pretty cool.

Really all I'm saying is; be considerate. Incorporate the fact that Alastor is Aroace, even if you do ship him - in or out of QPRs - and ofc sometimes writing someone who is part of a group ur not in is difficult (coming from someone who often struggles in writing especially when it comes to romance) but taking a crack at it might actually turn out to be rlly cool.

But please don't ignore his aroace-ness, there's not a huge amount of aroace characters out there and acting like someone isn't can be annoying for ppl who want to find rep around their identity, esp if they haven't seen much before (I can relate and he was one of the first aroace characters I was introduced to after I found out what it meant).

So yeah, that's my piece.

good morning pokemon community umm. gymsona w other gym leaders i think match their vibe ^_^ do nottt ask me what gen any of these ppl are from dude i play pokemon pearl and cant even tell u who the gym leaders are in that. i opned the pokemon wiki and scrolled

anywho more info and stuff below break hehehehehehehhehehe

ermm okie side note my only pkmn knowledge is like. pearl. so my bad :3 but the way i made the gym it kinda pushes how gyms traditionally work ... its more like a game show [because i always loved doing the little interviews thru pearl and the contests n stuff] where theres 8 contestants and they just bracket their way down to the final battle against the gym leader/host who is. me technically. but jamie crown is their name ^_^

one fun thing i thought of was because its a live show u wouldnt rlly be able to .. leave and go to the pokecenter and heal or buy items.. so ud have an option to heal between rounds at ur little podium :3 all with pokecenter certified tech or whatev of course !!

because its not gym members i realize it doesnt rlly lend itself towards being a typical gym since it would be ppl from all over coming to compete thinking emoji.. but it kinda works as a like. elite four minigame LOL idk :3 i didnt think ab it too hard

and then in terms of the team i chose

also the visual of jamie tellinf starmie to use surf in a densely packed room with a high concentration of electrical components on live television is sending me into a FIT because they ARE bimbo enough to do that

and also the design alt and the old outfit :3 the last one is just an outfit i found looking at rhythmic gymnastic leotards n went OH THATS SO JAMIE hehe.. the old design is so dear to me and i still rlly like it but i love this new one a lot ^_^ idk i think their design will change a lot regardless because being a game show host i think they would have lots of diff outfits as opposed to a uniform but.. pokemon logic u wear the same outfit for the rest of ur life

*NOT CLICKBAIT!!!* when asmo learns that you, the newest exchange student has a youtube account and following somewhat comparable to his own, he decided right then and there not to like you. however, after an unfortunate (and misleading) exchange goes viral, he has no choice but to fake date you in order to save face. will asmo crush you and put you into place like you deserve? or are those funny feelings in his stomach not hate, like he had thought? like, subscribe, and maybe fall in love (with this smau) to find out!!

it takes some time for everyone to get settled in the living room, but once you all finally are, you find yourself sandwiched between asmo and solomon. the latter closer to you than your own (fake) boyfriend. but thankfully, as he goes through the mural plan, he’s all business, and you find yourself being drawn into the project with ease.

“i think it’s a great project,” diavolo says after solomon’s laid it all out. “it fosters community, adds culture to our school, and is a great way to set the precedent for more exchange programs. it just sounds like we need an artist or two to really get us started.”

“can’t mc draw?” mammon asks, and you shake your head.

“oh, no way! i’m better at the crafty side of things. need a painter and i’m your person, but for something as technical as this we need someone with skill.”

“asmo, would you be willing to help design the mural?” lucifer asks, and you turn to him. you had had no idea he dabbled in art aside from makeup and nail art!

“it’s been a long time but i suppose i could dust off my pencils,” he says, faux-modestly. “i can come up with a couple of mock-ups once we decide what to include and then we can go from there.”

“great!” solomon leans over you, shoulder pressing into yours, to give asmo a high-five. “we can do that some other time. i don’t want to bog down this sleepover with too much work. i really just wanted to introduce the project and decide where to start, and we’ve done that.”

the conversation drifts then, and you just take it all in, adding your two cents when asked. you’re really just content to listen and grow comfortable with the dynamics between the groups, especially since you don’t know everyone that well. asmo seems not to notice, but solomon certainly does, fixing you with a smile.

“so, mc,” he says at a quieter volume, as if to make your exchange more of a side-conversation, “has asmo been a good parter? treating you well and everything?”

and, okay, that’s kind of a weird thing to ask, right? that’s really not something you’d ask someone you’d just met. but maybe he was really close to asmo? you had kind of gotten that vibe…

“he’s a wonderful boyfriend,” you reply, cheeks heating slightly as you involuntarily think about the kiss. get over it already, you think viciously. “i really couldn’t ask for anyone better.”

“really?” solomon asks, dubious. “you must have really done a number on him. the asmo i know never seemed to have room in his heart for someone else, focused on himself as he is. but if you’re saying the opposite… that’s almost hard to fathom!”

his assessment isn’t necessarily untrue and matches your general experience with asmo, but for some reason, protective instincts rise in your chest. “is that so?” you ask, blinking up at solomon. “asmo’s truly the perfect partner.”

“what about me?” asmo asks, catching your hand (and your attention).

“mc was just telling me about your relationship,” solomon answers. “all bad things, you know.”

“oh, i’m sure,” asmo says airily, and you chuckle.

“no, i was just telling him about how great you are,” you say sweetly. “and how i truly couldn't ask for anything more in a partner.”

except for someone real, a traitorous part of you wishes longingly. and the worst thing is that you don’t want just anyone. what you really want is to make it real with him, but there’s no way he’d want that. after all, not only has he always claimed to hate you, but he literally ran away after you kissed him! who’d do that to the person they genuinely care for?

“well, i’m glad you think so highly of me,” asmo hums, squeezing your fingers. “but i’m the lucky one in this relationship.”

solomon looks between the two of you, eyebrows raised. “i can’t believe this is what you’ve been turned into,” he says wonderingly. “i don’t mean it as an insult; it’s just hard for me to wrap my mind around it.”

“what can i say?” asmo sighs. “love changes a man?”

“love?” you giggle. “it’s much too soon for that.”

his smile turns slightly in a way you don’t like. “ah, you’re right,” he says quickly. “but you have to remember, i’ve never felt like this before. you’ve changed me, mc. for the better.”

you know he’s just saying it, but why do his words sound so genuine? and why is he looking at you like that? and why oh why is your heart starting to race?

“you’ve changed me too,” you finally muster, giving him a weak smile, and thankfully, you’re interrupted by diavolo offering up dinner.
