in my heart of hearts mike wheeler is absolutely an athena kid but i also have to offer up a concept that i think has extreme comedic and dramatic potential aka: repressed gay teenager mike showing up at camp half blood unsure of who his godly parent is and feeling insecure about not having powers and one day when he’s making not-so-secret heart eyes at his best friend and son of apollo will byers is when a bunch of glowing floating hearts show up above his head. and that’s how mike gets claimed by none other than aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality, and is in full denial about it for three days because he thinks it’s some kind of sick and twisted JOKE

(on aphrodite’s end, she’s upset mike is throwing away the gift of true love and keeps trying to trick him out of repression by making more and more improbable and hilarious gifts appear when he and will are hanging out. mike hands will a book and it turns into a box of chocolates and he has to fling it away like a frisbee before will sees it. they’re having lunch and romantic music starts playing. she gives mike the same blessing she used to claim piper and will can’t even look in his direction for a full day because he starts blushing so hard. fifty bouquets of flowers show up at the apollo cabin’s doorstep with a note that says love, mike and by the end of it, mike isn’t even repressed and unsure about his sexuality anymore — he’s just trying to not throw himself into the bonfire out of sheer embarrassment)

#also shoutout to piper mclean bc i think her arc of not believing she is an aphrodite kid bc she doesn’t fit the model for it and having #been teased and made an outcast of sorts kind of jaded her and made her actively rebel against being an aphrodite kid #i just think that is very mike wheeler of her #n then she spends five books learning what love means and what being an aphrodite kid means #again. very mike. to Me #credits to abby bc i said ‘what if mike shows up at chb and he is repressed and gay and immediately gets claimed by iris the rainbow goddess #and she said i see this and raise you aphrodite #and i said oh my fucking god.#anyways might write this. Some more concepts. Sky’s outfit seemed plain to me without the sailcloth cape but I really hate the cape so I didn’t want to keep it. It’s folded up in his belt rn. But I did notice that the headmaster and the teachers for the knight academy all have that sash stuff around their shoulders, and since Sky more or may not be working in the academy at times, I gave him one. Idk, his design is giving me trouble lol. I need to figure out what he’s actually doing. I also moved his feather down on his belt cuz I can’t handle drawing that thing in his earring anymore. And Minish’s design also seemed plain so I gave it a more leafy texture to actually fit a Minish, plus darkening it cuz idk it kinda looked weird. I might lighten it a tad so that it doesn’t blend in with his headband. And lastly Windy…. I still don’t know if I wanna do this, but I kinda am playing with the idea of him being 14 instead of 17. Idk it’d just be easier not to try to fill in all those years you know? His design won’t change too much, but I did cave in and gave him a red bandana

Understanding in 1x02 vs 4x03:

Early on, this is what Shiv sees:

This is what she doesn’t see:

Kendall is cornered into talking about the business. Wordlessly, gently threatened into it when he said he didn’t want to right now. Gerri and Karl aren't in mourning. They are doing their jobs, and they’re testing him to see if he can do his. If he said no and walked away, the company would be taken out of family control, Logan would be furious, and he'd lose out on his dream forever.

Shiv sees none of that happen, and Kendall doesn't even tell her about it- maybe because he thinks she wouldn't listen, maybe because she said she thinks he’s weak already, or maybe because he just almost never defends himself in general. But she can’t see his perspective without knowing what happened.

The lack of understanding between them results in this disaster:

She thinks he’s being cold by talking to the nominating committee, but we see how he really feels. He just always turns to reason and order in times of crisis and she doesn’t really know that.

He has not forgotten this conversation or Shiv’s perception of him here. He doesn’t want that:

Shiv’s been inside Waystar now. She knows now that talking business for a minute during a dark time doesn’t mean you don’t care. In fact, she did it while Kendall was confessing his worst moment, but it didn’t mean she loves him less. She knows him better now and has seen that he’s anything but emotionless. No one criticizes him for turning to reason and order this time. They ask for it.

No matter what happens, he won’t forget this nice conversation either. He won’t forget that his siblings finally see him the way he’s always hoped they would: as the big brother who can make hard decisions in seemingly impossible moments. He’s the one who can shepherd them through it. There’s trust there now and they finally know how it feels. The door will be open for togetherness now, even if it looks like it might close for a while. It’s not that they changed as people, it’s that they’ve learned how to read each other.

Not seeing each other’s perspectives led to having to be alone:

Now, it seems, even though they will struggle for a while, they have an understanding.

What if Oliver’s lies are true but like his mom knows how to act sober well enough so Felix thinks Oliver is a liar and makes him leave after the party. Oliver decides that it isn’t worth it, he tried so hard for Felix, but in the end, it still and will never be enough. So Oliver goes back to Oxford and starts befriending people who are more like him, and they actually listen to what he says and invite him everywhere (He’s the best dressed there now because of his time with Felix). Maybe he figures out that if Felix didn’t have such a savior complex his past wouldn’t be hurting him still. So Oliver kinda like blocks him in everything? Also tried to change any classes they would have together. He didn’t need to see his mother after he moved out so in his mind Felix was the one who brought him back to such an unsafe place.

Anyways, I just want Oliver to be happy and know that life doesn’t end because a boy doesn’t like you. Either way, he’s been through worse so a broken heart shouldn’t feel as bad, right? :(

Oh and like Felix could be having a crisis because he misses Oliver and figured out that if he just let him explain he would have realized that Oliver was saying the truth (lmao)

Someone else said it better and longer than me, but from the first moment he speaks Pete is established as a rough, combative character, resistant to soft “feminine” things, ready to straight up murder the captain, and then he’s…being sweet and complimentary to the most feminine member of the crew, whittling a finger for him, calling him “babe” and “love” and supporting his art even when that art involves the genitals of other (very attractive) men in the crew. They give us this image in episode one and then spend the entire season just shredding it to pieces. The very moment Pete said “Yeah, love?” I was lost.
