And there was a boy who was as homesick as you, Uli. And who read as much as Martina. Loved cake like Matze. And wanted to become a pop star, like you, Jo. And he had an enemy. His name was Robert. He was an Extern from the town here. And although this Robert seemed the have everything the boy wanted, he still picked on him. Pushed him around and made fun of him… Well, like the Externs have done with the Internals for generations, right.“
Jo: „And vice versa.“
Bökh: „Exactly. And vice versa.“
Bökh: „…yes. And one day, the boy’s mother got sick. She was brought here to Kirchberg into the hospital and the boy snuck away from the boarding school every day to visit her. And one day he was caught by the boarding school director. And he got grounded.“
Martina: „Couldn’t he just say what was up?“
Bökh: „No, because it was a very… cold and stern man whom he didn’t trust. And Robert in turn knew from his father, who was a doctor at the hospital, that the boy’s mother was fighting for her life there. So he offered his help."
Bökh: „And so every night he layed in the boarding school bed in place of the boy. So that he could visit his mother. And then they became really good friends. Even had a band together. They weren’t all that bad.“ (sighs)
Bökh: „I certainly don’t need to tell you who this boy was, right?"
All of the kids in unison: „You, Herr Bökh.“
Bökh: „Exactly. And why I’m telling you this story.“
Uli: „I think I understand it.“
Matze: „So we get Chips and Lemonade?“
(chuckling)
Jo: „The Externs today aren’t like that.“
Bökh: „Jo, I obviously care about two things. Firstly; rules are well and good, but not as important as humanity. Ok? And secondly I want you to trust me, that you’re not afraid to come to me. Okay?“
The kids nod.
Bökh looks at his watch.
Bökh: „Alright. I need to get a bit of work done now.“
Martina: „But what happened to Robert?“
Bökh slumps back in his seat with a heavy sigh.
Bökh: „Ach. Robert, he… I think he later studied medicine in the city. Ah, we unfortunately lost touch.“
Jo: „Why?“
Bökh: „… Well, that- That happens sometimes when you become an adult, then… suddenly, your closed loved ones are gone.“
Jo: „… What, just like that?“
Bökh nods silently.
Bökh: „… Mhm.“
Matze: „How sad… I think friends should always stick together.“
Bökh: „Yeah, exactly.“
Jo: „Can’t you prevent that somehow?“
Bökh: „Yes. We need to look out for each other. Ok?“

#I never knew that Barbie made a doll set for a romance novel and that Barbie was gorgeous omg#and I got Sparta kicked back to like 2006 cuz I saw so many Scooby doo Barbies#the daphne dolls were gorge as usual and reminded me of Barbie.com when it had all the fun games#cuz I remember a Scooby doo page on the site#it’s just so cool seeing some of the dolls from my years that I forgot about#and seeing some other ones for the first time was so cool too!#I even saw some glitter fairy dolls from the fairytopia line I completely forgot about#like the ones that had like glitter water or some shit in the wings and another duo that lit up#man we had some really cool Barbie’s in the 2000s#tho I did get a little sad when I found a nutcracker book that had a happy birthday note in it from grandma and grandpa#I always get a little sad when I find those type of little notes in books people are selling

I wanted to make a cleaner summary of last week's classes and also review the classes I have this week since the material is already uploaded beforehand but I was feeling so horrible throughout the day that when I sat down I was just gonna look at the ones for tomorrow but I think I'm just gonna go to bed because I just gave my little numbers game a few tries and not even the joy of tribial elementary school-level math games is bringing my brain cells and/or full sentience back

We see the attack on the jedi temple in ep 3, the Kenobi show and from Grogu, and they all show how horrific it was, but none of those have shown us the elderly.
It is only logical that during the war most of the people in the temple were those too old or sick to fight, yet, in all of these scenes we are only shown what appears to be mid-life adults.
But I just can't stop thinking about the elderly jedi.
The jedi who haven't picked up their lightsabers in 10 years, let alone actually turned it on, standing up to protect their homes. The jedi who gave themselves one final mission, to save as many of their people's children as they can. The jedi who fought in their hover chairs, who didn't even try to evacuate, who tried to stall the onslaught for just a little while longer.
I get really emotional thinking about the elderly jedi who are typically forgotten in these discussions.

Alright I'm reading an old RenRuki fic I wrote in 2015 (waaaay back in my drafts, pre-Bleach ending btw) and the basic premise is that Hisagi approaches Renji to write a feature for Seireitei Communication about how people in the Living World lead their lives, what they do for fun, etc. as a nice little primer to increase morale among officers who are going there for the first time and could use something that's not out of like, a textbook for reference. Long story short, he ends up going to the Living World with Rukia and they do a lot of fun things and realize hey,,,,,this is kind of like a date,,,,,and then stubbornly never talk about it again (until they do) .

Finally finished my first complete True Pacifist Run of Undertale and I am…very much crying. This is such an incredibly, profoundly sweet game.
(and actually, it’s my first full completion of ANY run. I’ve probably started the game 2-3 separate times, but this is the first time I’ve actually gotten all the way to the end on my own.)
