23. I like listening to music sometimes when I need to get in a certain atmosphere but I am far more focused when having a show in the background! I like watching comfort shows like atla or Shera, but right now I am rewatching Hannibal while drawing :)

24. Probably that I look at naked people way too much. The amount of half-naked men I have saved these days for James is the cause. Also that I'm into goth fashion a bit too much!!

#you're lovely thank you #also man but the like footwork I did for this was just silly #so whale oil yeah sure but upon research I'm like okay but specifically sperm whale oil is probably smarter #less smelly and already used in cosmetics #and then I go okay so what's the viscosity of sperm oil #i am not laughing like a school child at all what're you talking about #apparently it's similar to melted coconut oil and I'm like okay #let's melt some coconut oil and see how it drips #and I recognize that's a higher commitment to accuracy than the show itself takes but you know what #that's who I am as a person #anyway thank you for being here #this is probably because I watched disney VHSs as a child and sometimes they had behind the scenes stuff on animation #and I only started trying to animate in october but I have this permanent memory of disney animators talking about filming milk dripping #to get the movement of raindrops falling into a puddle in bambi correct

Finally about to watch Nimona!!!!!

#I use my mums netflix but it hasnt been working recently due to it npt being connected to the internet. We had a brief powercut a while #Ago so that may be why #And ive been waiting for them to leave the house for a few hours as i dont like watching movies with other people sometimes #Im fine with disney movies usually but other stuff is usually a no #I just mainly dont want to watch it with her and her boyfriend (gods i *hate hate HATE* that man) and her boyfriends daughter (whom i also #dont like)#Im fine with my sister but the rest is a no. Id also not watch it with my dad either #I would have watched it round his as he had my half brothers netflix on his tv but now the netflix doesnt work #Either my brother got rid of his or it was the netflix rule about only one household being able to use the netflix that kicked us off #Anyway imma watch it now. With my late lunch #Nimona

#it’s just fun and cool #and sometimes a story just needs to be short and that’s fine #anthologies #anthology #I blame my love for Ichabod and Mr. Toad as well as the Simpsons’ many anthology episodes #the ducktales reboot did their anthology episodes in such a cool way I didn’t realize they were anthologies until someone brought it up #Fantasia!? Fantasia 2000?! great stuff #fan of those? check Allegro Non Troppo!#basically an Italian Disney parody of Fantasia but it’s still just as great in its own right #more for adults a bit more comedic and satirical but the animation is great #also currently watching they Amphibia Shut-In episode that’s what’s inspiring this post #Bob’s burgers also has some great stuff

Hi! Yes, I played New Dawn in French and Roger has the same Québécois accent he has in English. It even seems he’s played by the same actor, Vincent Leclerc, whose name appears among the other French voice talents in the credits.

As for some of the (Canadian) French words he uses, such as “osti”, “tabarnak”, or “caulisse”, they’re typical slang/swear words from Québec that we don’t use in France, so they kept them in the French version and they sound as funny and exotic as they do in English.

It’s rare that Far Cry characters who speak with a non-American accent end up also having an accent in the French version of the game, but Roger thankfully kept his!

#it’s a good question because yeah sometimes they have to use another language #like in the film 'ghost dog: the way of the samurai' the character played by isaach de bankolé speaks french but no one understands him #they had to change that in the french version so he speaks an african language called yoruba instead #the actor is fluent in it because from what I’ve read it’s his parents’ native language #many french characters in disney movies have an italian accent in france #and the ‘'mi casa' is french for 'front door'’ joke in big hero 6 became ‘'mi casa' means 'door' in german’ in the french version #also I’ve recently realized they switched to english much earlier in the original intro scene of inglourious basterds #in the french version it’s only when landa is lighting his pipe that he suggests they continue the conversation in english #then in the film all english-speaking characters talk in french but french people also still speak french haha #far cry new dawn #roger cadoret #I watched a bit of spanish roger and while he does use canadian french words it didn’t sound like he had an accent to me #I may be wrong though #I also watched a bit of roger in the other languages and here’s what I found #german: french accent and words #italian: no french word or accent #japanese: no french accent and probably no words (I’m not sure)#russian: no accent (I think) but french words

I can't believe a couple years ago having two males do the 'look back' in Andi Mack was a massive win, actually getting to say the word gay was a massive win, and two boys holding hands was a massive win

And now with HSMTMTS we have a same sex couple from season 1, and we have Ashlyn have fireworks when hugging Val, after episodes of build up, and her actually being super happy she's discovered this about herself

Andi Mack had Cyrus crying when coming out, had him telling each person being a big thing, and HSMTMTS just got to do it in such a lovely way where it just wasn't a big deal, like it was, but there weren't loads of coming out scenes (I'm assuming there will be one with big red) and she was so excited

And it's just lovely seeing how far Disney has come - lord knows they have a long a** way to go - but it's truly lovely seeing how far they've come now

Like Joshua Rush said, Andi Mack walked so other shows could run

And when I think back to when I was a kid watching Disney there was not one small even rain drop of representation for anyone who wasn't straight - like I stopped watching Disney consistently before good luck Charlie had that war with parents over there being a same sex couple in a scene for like 10 seconds, so you're talking way back in the day

Disney has so far to go but they've come so far and I think celebrating wins is important

hey wait. so if you grow up as an only child or with siblings who like the same tv as you how do you learn tolerance?

#that football poll really made me reflect on how much tv i've had on in the background that was just absolute white noise to me #altho back when we were all younger there were more tvs in the house. mostly small ones #there was one i remember vividly that was like only a foot wide. it sometimes moved around #it had a vcr player in the bottom #i so clearly remember watching lizzie mcguire on it while discovering if you smash a marker youre coloring w #all the ink comes out at once. but then youre left wo it being pointy at the end #and that tv could be moved around. i remember watching shrek on it in my mudroom once lol #i also remember watching whose line is it anyway and not understanding improv but just seeing the men sit in chairs #and stand up and just looking at the colorful background. it was somehow still entertaining to me i dont remember AT ALL why #tales from diana #one thing that is somewhat understandable to me from what i understand about childhood entertainment in the streaming era #is that children THANK GOD still seem to fight w their siblings about what to watch on tv #they just dont even say 'on tv' they say 'on disney plus'#it shouldnt feel so strange to me but i just cant imagine coming home from school and selecting something from a list of programs #and then watching that in full without commercials. i'm like what. that's not tv #you're supposed to get home in the middle of an episode of spongebob that they play twice a week and quote along w it like karaoke #youre supposed to argue and flip back and forth one thing and another when one turns to a commercial break #THATS AMERICA!!!!!

I bought the Brother Bear soundtrack on CD but since my laptop doesn't have a disk drive I only just now was able to put it on my iPod

I'm listening to it and it's honestly making me the happiest I've been all day, the most relaxed and comfortable I've been in a few days
