#art from a while back #i played hk first and deepnest was like. the most uncomfortable ive ever been playing the game #mainly because its just so DARK #as for rw... when i got to shaded...... what the actual Hell #i eventually got used to just dying in the dark and exploring the first parts of the region but like. Why is it pitch black #i didnt even realize there was a path to the scav merchant at the first room..... i got to memory crypts before finding it in my next run #hollow knight #rain world #hk ghost #rw slugcat #rw survivor #artatat #?!?@?@?@?@ the alt text got removed for a sec Sorry about that im not sure why or how that happened #also im completely aware deepnest without a lantern is much darker but atleast it isnt pitch black. do you have any advice on drawing slugcats/scavs? i love how you draw both... sincerely...

i'm rising from the dead just to answer this one even though i'm not much of an adviser or a tutorial guy x) my style is not consistent and i just flow with most of things

but here's some tutorial-ish things

slugcats are just...blobs at this point in my style, i don't use many additional lines or smth for them

it's like this one "how to draw a rat" meme where there's only two steps: "draw any shape" "done"

scavengers are more complicated tho!

they have actual anatomy and as stated - i'm still figuring it out x) but at least it's fun

here's some other scavs i drew for a little example - a random one and kinda an OC of mine

i hope this helps even if just a little bit, i really have no idea how to explain my drawing process or give drawing advice :")

anyways guess who started a reread of homestuck with a friend and ended up falling in love all over again with the characters and their relationships.

yeah thats right its me. me and my best friend talking about their dynamic and how great they'd get along. he said their dynamic reminded them of us and honestly. massive win. calling and voiceacting their convos together is something im genass having so much fun with i havent laughed at homestuck and had so much fun for a while.

they have that vibe together of eating melting popsicles in a hot car on the way to your friends house so you can crowd around their pc to watch them beat that one flash game youre having trouble with while their ridiculously suffocated pc whirs underneath the desk and the place smells faintly of cigarettes cus their guardian smokes. their backyard always an entire mess too. no? just me? damn. what were you guys doing during when these things were blasting on the radio. let me know in tags
