Was thinking back on how soulmates work again in the So(u)l universe, specifically about how signs like strings and markings don’t show up until you and your person are ready for each other.
And then a whole cinematic scene popped into my head unprompted. Ok ok, picture this. Someone in a situation kinda like Samir, where they have just gone through a major change in their life that leaves them different. Forever. Doesn’t have to be being stuffed into a robot, just something leaves them a whole different person. And it’s been done to them, unwanted, by someone else.
Here’s the scene.
It shouldn’t have been so quiet. Granted, a recovery room was not a place for excessive amounts of noise, but the absolute stillness was oppressive. Or maybe that was just the buzzing static that filled [REDACTED]’s mind. They stared down at their hands, disbelief and wonder rushed through them in equal measure. What had so entranced them was a small string, wrapped around their little finger and stretching off under the door at the other end of the room.
Movement brought the patient’s attention back to the present moment, their eyes snapped up to the doctor who walked towards them, oh so casually. They leaned away instinctively.
“What did you do to me?”
The tremor in their voice could have been from shock. Or fear. Despite how much [REDACTED] had wanted this, it was wrong. They were wrong.
The man in the lab coat grinned, and the window glare on his glasses hid the expression in his eyes.
“You really should be thanking me. After all,” he leaned in far too close for comfort, “you could never have been loved as you were.”

Yall go into this labour's not knowing rhe gender for whatever reason.
So when you finally give birth and the doctor tells you both to say hello to your little boy, he breaks.
Bc now he's where his father might have been. With the love of his life in the bed next to him as he holds his son the way his dad might have at one point.
Yet
Instead of the ugly anger his father felt to him, all he can do is smile with tears in his eyes.
Bc he can't understand how his father saw such vileness in him when all he can see in his son is peace. A future. Love.
He has a chance to walk his father's steps
And he will actively choose the opposite
Bc he loves you. He loves your son. And he refuses to let his son know the pain he did.

it captures everything that i think about when i imagine Ghost + Kids, and i couldn't agree more about having a boy, and now being in the same spot as his father. it's poetic, and i'm only crying a little bit rn.

I can imagine a scenario where Junmyeon and his longtime gf are starting to pressure to marry and have kids, but both of them are still worried about whether or not they’d be good parents. So, the reader suggests maybe getting a dog to see whether or not they could handle it and test to see if they’re ready. Junmyeon is obviously hesitant due to losing Byul not too long ago and doesn’t believe he could love another dog the way he loved Byul. However, his gf convinces him that Byul loved him enough throughout his teenage years and that she knows that he would need somewhere else to help channel his grief.
Oof, I got emotional writing this 🥹.
omg this is soooo cute 😭 i just know he would still be kinda skeptical about everything but he would fall in love with the new little dog, and maybe even get emotional telling you "they remind me so much of byul" :(

So I finished Dororo and one I love Hyakkimaru so much!!!
He has been thru so much y’all so much bullshit… his piece of shit father got to live while the mother and brother died😤😤or I think he did cuz the ending kinda confused me lol.. the brother’s friends who made the demon deal to fight kinda deserved their ending too cuz y’all started it
I felt for them I really did but they kept calling Hyakkimaru a demon when all he wanted was his body parts back… he fought to live and everyone trying to tell him he gotta die so they wouldn’t have to fight really irked me!! Even Dororo was making me angry like I know you didn’t want him to become a demon but was he suppose to just stand still while they attacked him?? They were tryna kill him!! Ahhh see I always get too emotionally involved when I watch anime but I truly loved this one❤️💚 10/10 recommend this to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.
Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)
