taehyun hires you to be his personal photographer and you have a photoshoot for a concept for his upcoming album. you thought that’s all your position entails until you have to hover over him, him laying on the ground and the wind blows his dress shirt so you see his obliques greeting you and catching you off guard.

though your face is behind the camera, taehyun can see the way you not so subtly bite your bottom lip and you see a smirk playing on his gorgeous face.

his eyes narrows at the lens and he parts his mouth for a more seductive expression, his brows softly scrunched and you curse yourself mentally for thinking this is what he would look like if someone was riding him.

“o-okay, and we’re done. great work today.” you’re flustered, and you failed to hide that. but taehyun was still laying on the ground.

he calls your name before you can walk away, your back still facing him as you squeeze your eyes shut because you feel like you’re about to explode.

“come here.” his voice gruff than usual and you turn to slowly approach him. damn him and that angle, his doe eyes looking right into your soul.

he lifts his arm up and you wonder why this almost 6ft man would need your held to stand up, but you have to remind yourself he is the same man who’ll be paying you after this.

“help me.” he says.

you hold onto his hand, ready to pull him up, but he swiftly tugs on your hand, luring you towards him as his other hand pats the area of his waistband. you step one leg over his torso and he pulls you against him.

“help me here.” he bucks his hips up into your cotton cladded core and you can feel just how hard he is under his denim shorts.

you prevent a squeal jumping out of you by biting your lip again, inhaling sharply at the feeling.

“you think I didn’t see the way you were squeezing your thighs?” his voice had dropped octaves lower than you’ve ever heard from him.

“I-I’m sorry,” you’re flustered again. “that was unprofessional of me.” you hang your head low, refusing eye contact.

taehyun grabs ahold of your hand, guiding your fingers to caress the ridges of his abs while his other hand is on your waist, setting a subtle pace of you grinding against his hard cock beneath the flimsy denim.

“well, sweetheart, I think it’s unprofessional if you don’t help me out, don’t you think?”

ghost trick is a video game that's about these questions: "when something bad happens to you, what do you do with that trauma?" and "when you do something terrible, when you make a terrible mistake, what do you do with that guilt?". it's about fate and family and hope and truth.

but, equally, crucially, it's also propaganda for the best little doggie in the whole world

Read "Suki, Alone". Liked it in general. But can they please, please hire someone who knows both the show's actual events and how to follow through on a character arc? Because guys. Guys. That comic is not implying about Suki what they meant it to be implying, and all because of literally one line.

So like. From a writer's standpoint:

What they meant to do: show Suki as a community-oriented person who cares for her people, and believes in everyone succeeding together.

As opposed to (spoilers): the thief girl they set her up in contrast with, who's pretty upfront and consistent on primarily looking out for herself. She betrays Suki for one (1) corn chip to improve her own life at the prison, no surprise.

But the problem is: they give Suki an inspirational line to the effect of "we're all working together and we'll all break out together"

So if both the show and this comic are canon, then instead of setting up a compare/contrast with the thief girl, they've just set up a comparison. One were Suki is arguably worse, because she's been leading a significant number of prisoners on with her "we'll all fight and win our freedom together!" business, only to straight up cut them out of the escape loop and abandon them, whereas the thief is only leading Suki on in the sense that Suki keeps telling her what it's morally correct to think and confuses snide replies with agreement

My dudes. My fellow writers. You people actually being paid for this. There were so many ways to fix those awful implications against our girl's character, the simplest of which would be to not include that line. Or they could have, you know, made it canon compliant with what actually happens in the show, so that this comic doesn't set Suki up as a betrayer instead of a community builder. Like... just send all her good prison buddies off to other prisons in the wake of the warden finding out they're colluding. Have it timed to be right before the next new prisoners arrive, thus setting it immediately before the Boiling Rock episodes, so Suki didn't have anyone left in the prison she'd want to take with her on a breakout. For bonus points, include a page or two of her and her Kyoshi warriors opening up the cell of one of her prison friends post-war, thus implying she's tracking down and actually fulfilling her promises. Maybe even show her doing the same with thief girl, who was established as being imprisoned on false charges anyway, and also showing that Suki is A) the bigger person, and B) willing to acknowledge her own role in mistakes (because I cannot emphasize enough how much thief girl was not hiding her own priorities, and it was Suki who approached HER with all this, not the girl ever doing anything special to weasel her way in) (this would also open up an opportunity for paralleling Suki's earlier in-comic mistake of not listening to one of her friend's very valid thoughts and feeling, which lead to the girl leaving their island alone pre-canon; a "seeing people as they are, not what you want them to be" moment)

Anyway yeah enjoyable enough for a quick read but another one for the "this can't be canon or the characters are So Much Worse than they were in the actual show" pile

so about the header that proceeded today's statement:

Viability as agent: Low

Viability as subject: None

Viability as catalyst: Medium

i didn't know what to think of this part of the entry at first, but the longer the statement went on... was the institute in this universe trying to manufacture avatars?

the dice can't do anything without someone to use them, they can't be an "agent" by themselves, but might be capable of manipulation, so in that aspect their viability is "low."

the dice could be a "subject" in the sense that they could use further studying, but the statement itself was a very thorough investigation of their workings, so in that aspect their viability is "none."

the dice seem to influence their holder to roll them, or at least find more victims to roll them, and could therefore be described as a "catalyst" for someone's becoming. but, as seen in the statement, their owner can give the dice to someone else (albeit not without consequences), so in that aspect their viability is only "medium."

so what about the line following all this, what does "Recommend referral to Catalytics for Enrichment applicability assessment" mean? if we go by this interpretation, i'd say it could mean the institute wanted to find a way to make the dice even more potent as an artifact, maybe even remove that pesky ability for their owner to reject them.

imho all of this this brings a whole new level of context to the events of episode seven, of unknown violent agents going after an influx of objects that seemed straight out of artifact storage. was that the nature of the titular "magnus protocol" first mentioned in episode four, the one that involved the starkwall group? containing or destroying potential artifacts before the institute could get their hands on them?

it also makes their "gifted kids program," and sam's link to it as one of the kids being studied, all the more horrifying to think about. was it not just avatars in general they were after, but child avatars specifically? no wonder gertrude got so defensive over the possibility of sam and celia dragging gerry back into the institute's business last episode, we all picked up on her clearly knowing more than she's letting on but now we might know the shape of that information a bit better.

and one final bit of food for thought... this statement had a lot of familiar themes, didn't it? free will or the illusion of it, gambling and not-so-random chance, the statement giver being done in by one final hit from what feels like a bit of an addition... all hallmarks of a certain mother of puppets. doesn't it seem fitting that "chester" would use this kind of statement to warn sam about what harm pursuing the magnus institute could bring to him, considering the one his voice might draw from? and doesn't it seem so painfully ironic that his warning seems to have only driven sam further into that web?

4 years since change your mind aired!! here’s an anniversary art

A portal from the Empty opens up, as Dean emerges with Cas half-conscious and leaning on his shoulder. Unable to bear another step, Cas crumbles to the floor, bringing Dean down on top of him. The portal closes with a crash, and a silence settles in the room.

Cas' chest heaves below him, but Dean can't even take a breath. Cas. Cas is- he's here. He may be covered in Empty goo but he's here. Cas is home. His eyes flutter open and Dean slowly pulls them both up to a sitting position. Cas looks up in exhausted disbelief. Dean's gonna say it. He has to say it. He has to say the words that have been inflating in his ribs and threatening to burst.

"You stupid son of a bitch. Of course I love you." And before he can lose his nerve, Dean grabs Cas by the face and kisses him so hard he's sure that he'll taste blood any second.

Dean pulls away from Cas and finally takes the breath he's been struggling to inhale this whole time - instantly leaving his lungs the moment he opens his eyes to see Cas' face.

Cas looks stunned, maybe horrified. His face goes through the entire spectrum of emotions so quickly that it makes it all indecipherable. Tears in his eyes are so close to falling Dean isn't sure how they're still holding on. His mouth hangs open but not a single word comes out. Oh no. He doesn't want this. He regrets it. He sh--

Any thoughts of doubt were squashed immediately as Cas grips Dean by the shoulders and kisses him like his life depends on it.

It may be their second kiss, but it feels like their first. It's warm and soft and tender. Dean simulationeously relaxes and feels every inch of his body light up as Cas moves his hand to rest in his hair, empty goo be damned.

If he's honest, it feels like love.
