jon: common raven

this was a choice i made before i even finished listening to the podcast back in 2020. jon's 1000% a bird to me, and the curious nature of corvids works well here. plus, i think a bird so universally ominous as a raven works perfectly as a horror protag :P i used to draw raven!jon with a couple troodon traits, mostly just cus it was fun, but i wanted to make my designs more grounded for this iteration. made them plantigrade, didn't get silly with body styles like i have with mp100 designs.

martin: tan jumping spider

if you've been here for a while you'll know that my furry martin has gone through about two million iterations. he started off as a european pine marten, to bold jumping spider, to chinese pangolin, to nine-banded armadillo, finally to nurse shark.

out of all of these the spider and the shark are my favorites. i wanted to go back to the jumping spider though- the design is really fun and i wasn't able to get the expressions right, but i'm more confident in my skills now and i'm having fun with the design. i may revisit nurse shark at some point. i switched from bold to tan jumper- i originally chose bold just cus they're my favorite jumper, but their stark black/white and iridescent aqua coloration just doens't work for martin. so, the tan jumper!

sasha: southern flannel moth

another old choice. species chosen because of a friend's fic, pharos by right (another i'm planning to reread now that i'm dipping my toes back into tma..)! southern flannel moths are poofy and orange, and their caterpillars are those super painful teddybear ones. i really like the design.

not!sasha: red postman

wanted to have her be another lepidopteran, and with all the many examples of mimicry among the group i thought red postman was a fun choice. doesn't look anything like a southern flannel moth, but that's sort of the point.

tim: jackson's chameleon

yet another choice from the oldtimes- most of the main characters are, i've mostly switched around the more secondary chars. first suggested, i believe, by @/ofdreamsanddoodles. i think there's something very fun about chameleons being basically a living mood ring & tim's Descent s1-3 showing physcially not just through the worm scars but through like, constant stress coloration during s3.

melanie: eastern copperhead

one of my favorite choices. i have a young copperhead specimen named after her. this one is quite vibes-based, but i do really like the copperhead as a viper that is not deadly. and i'm always a sucker for the "animal perceived as scary and violent that in actuality only strikes when under extreme stress" thing in furry assignments.

georgie: triceratops horridus

another favorite choice. visually, i really like how this works out, and trikes as a social and protective animal works well. she's literally got a shield on her face. horridus was chosen because i like the shape of the head and horns better than prorsus.

basira: domestic cat (calico shorthair)

got a little cat/dog thing going on for dasira. i like the inversion of the usual cat/dog dynamic with their unhealthy devotion instead, and visually it just works very well for them both.

daisy: domestic dog (german shepherd)

yeah i know this one's an exceedingly obvious choice.

elias: barn owl. jonah: eurasian eagle owl.

it's the institute logo! it's him! barn owl for elias specifically because of its very sleek look, designing him went fantastically. also, i can make the eagle owl's face disk work as a mimicry of ben meredith's muttonchops, which i think is a fun design bit to give to magnus.

gerry: domestic dog (black doberman)

certified gerryguy @/gerrydelano's choice. to quote a discord message from 3 years ago (sorry ron): "i feel like.........my INSTINCT is some kind of canine because like. the whole symbolism thing about being either an obedient or rabid dog. something something muzzled all your life. being a dangerous figure if people only see the silhouette but you just want scritches and nobody'll get close enough to you." black dog symbolism + breed which has ears cropped and tail docked, unecessarily molded for a Purpose which the dog has no say in

annabelle: white-booted racket-tail

sort of my original choice- she used to be part white-booted racket-tail, part anna's hummingbird. kept with the racket-tail cus it's fun and very cute. i've had a couple people express surprise that she wasn't a spider, but i think that's way too obvious. hummingbirds, though- they steal the webs of spiders to use as material to make their nests, but can sometimes become trapped in the webs and eaten by the spiders themselves. which is probably the metaphor-via-fursona-assignment i'm most proud of in this whole list

jane: cabbage white

the cabbage white is a butterfly whose caterpillars are routinely parasitized by the parasitoid wasp the white butterfly parasite. in case you're not familiar, parasitoid wasps lay their eggs on (usually) caterpillars, which hatch on the still-living caterpillar, devouring it from the inside before eventually emerging from the consumed husk of the host. also, i really liked the image of parasitoid wasp larvae emerging from an adult butterfly, rather than a caterpillar.

michael: spiny softshell turtle

for michael and helen, i wanted to choose animals which were, in some way, their own home. turtle is an obvious choice- and spiny softshells are a favorite of mine, and sufficiently strange-looking.

helen: common hermit crab

oliver: black vulture

bit of an obvious choice, but i adore vultures so i had to. black vulture chosen because i think the monochrome color scheme + straighter face work better than a turkey vulture for him

peter: risso's dolphin

i really like the idea of a cetacean for peter and the lukases as a whole, a famously social animal for the seemingly contradictory nature of this lonely-but-huge family, plus with so many cetaceans being endangered getting that lonely angle (risso's specifically are not, though, as peter is lonely through his own choice, not by circumstance).

mike: caelestiventus hanseni

it's a dimorphodont. he feels like a pterosaur to me, and i like the idea of a vast avatar as a usually short-flying arboreal species, for the unnaturality/contrast of it.

jude: black kite

black kites are one of the species of kites known to intentionally spread fires by picking up burning sticks to flush out prey.

agnes: ???

the only one i'm still undecided on. will update.

nikola: stealing major's carousel horse

i can't top that

jared: american dog tick

breekon&hope: Hog and/or Bear. you get no more information

vaguely russian animals that are large and imposing but remain somewhat generic. which is the hog and which is the bear is not consistent.

dekker: mouflon

dekker has very much mammal vibes to me. the mouflon is a neat species of wild sheep. i think the noble, imposing but kind image of the ram works well for dekker as that sort of true-good hero figure, and mouflons in particular are very nice looking with good shapes. the statement giver in distant cousin describes dekker as "though he was slightly shorter than I was, it seemed like he towered over me." which i think this sheep works well with.

gertrude: great tit

i wanted all the main eye avatars as birds, just like how i give them all glasses. just a fun little treat for me. great tit was chosen for gertrude as a kind of classic british bird, and as tits in general are VERY fiesty despite their round and adorable appearance. i really like this image of a great tit posing with a dead mouse like it's a hunter with a trophy deer. the cheek markings also work really well to bring to mind the image of old person jowls.

leitner: domestic cat (persian)

vibes. also i like the idea of him as a spoiled domestic animal. if i remember correctly, this was also @/ofdreamsanddoodles' suggestion

manuela: gray long-eared bat

she's a bat. what's to say. WELL actually okay there's the perception of bats as blind but actually having quite good vision which i think meshes in a fun way with the dark, and the way manuela does her sciency stuff.

rayner: olm

i mean, yeah

salesa: sea otter

largely design-oriented, suitably scruffy. ocean animal with strong social bonds, it was a slam dunk soon as i thought of it.

simon: dodo

Pet Headcanons

Alhaitham

She showed up in a previous post but I think he would have a cat

An Egyptian Mau to be precise, her name would be Asal (Persian for honey) after her golden/bronze coat

She would 100% be a curious and very intelligent kitten who loves to run around and play

Type of cat who just climbs up fabric/clothes and will sit on your shoulder or around your neck

Will bite and pull on your ear if you oversleep and don’t feed her

Literally embodiment of “Ray of Sunshine”

Absolutely loves Kaveh for some reason (totally not because he spoils her rotten)

“Kaveh, stop feeding her so much, she’s getting fat. I don’t want two spoiled lazy cats”

“Excuse you, she’s perfect and skinny as is… Wait did you insult me too?!”

Does tricks! she knows how to sit, shake, tap (where she taps her nose to your finger/thumb) and is learning more

Diluc

A big dog man

I could see him with rottweilers, german shepherds or bernese mountain dogs with a name like “Bear” or “Beau”, short, bold, and simple.

Originally gotten as guard dogs for a paranoid Ragnvindr who has many enemies and just got back from a murder spree in Snezhnaya, they now work more as emotional support dogs for him and others

He also still has his childhood tortoise (because those things live forever) which he named ‘Clip’ as a child

He’s very mellow, the dogs treat him as one of their own

They also cuddle and sleep together, two dogs wrapped around a tortoise who rests his head on the dog’s neck

When he and Kaeya were in their older teens, Crepus got them both large Clydesdale horses when they both joined the Knight’s Cavalry.

He named his horse Skinfaxi and Kaeya has Hrímfaxi (named after the sun and moon horses from Norse mythos)

Skinfaxi is one hell of a mare, it took Diluc a lot of time, energy, and patience to get her to behave (though she still has a playful streak)

Would buck him off during training but she was the fastest horse in the Cavalry

He would take her on long rides at night through the woods and around Dawn Winery just to get her to trust him

Kaeya

Obviously, Hrímfaxi, who, unlike his sister, was much more timid.

They both got along really well, with no issues, unlike their siblings.

The two riding are almost like one being, completely in synch

With the cavalry gone, Mondstadt City doesn’t have a lot of space for a horse so he stays with his sister at Dawn Winery

Kaeya comes by whenever he can to ride him

But besides her he would take care of the stray cats around Mondstadt City, refilling food and water bowls around the city while on patrol

One day, after a long night, Kaeya woke up to clawing and meowing at the door and saw his favorite cat, a Calico named Lucky, wandered inside and flopped on his rug in pain, crying as he noticed the giant lump coming from her stomach

By sunrise, he now had a mother of three kittens refusing to leave his house.

Two girls (One Calico like her mom and the other orange) and a boy (A black cat with faint stripes)

He lets Klee name them: Sunny (Orange), Cloudy (Calico) and Stormy (the black cat)

The girls are definitely headstrong while Stormy is shy and tends to hide behind his big sisters

(as a kaeya kinnie with three stray/outdoor cats, he gets them too)

Childe

From a family with lots of big dogs, like Great Pyrenees, Samoyed, and Tibetan Mastiffs

When he moved to Liyue for deployment and got super lonely, his subordinates weren’t super close to him and locals didn’t trust him as a Harbinger, he grew rather lonely

Till he went into the countryside to deal with some Treasure Hoarders and saw them using weasels and ferrets to carry contraband and money around without notice

What really sold him was watching a little kid in the camp playing with one and rubbing noses with it

The next day Ajax had two ferrets running around his apartment with the most expensive ferret setup money could buy

They are the most playful, feral things who love running around and play-fighting each other

Named Jayson and Lila, a pair of twins

(totally didn't name them after the stoats from Burrow’s End)

Loves them so much and plays with them throughout all of his free time

Leaves them to his assistant whenever he is away or is busy (who proceeds to give her hell)

They love it when he wears big coats/parkas so they can climb in and snuggle

Cyno

Didn’t have pets growing up

His first pet was on a mission as General Mahamatra, arrested some guy, went through his house for evidence, and found a severely malnourished and neglected Leopard Gecko

Some of his claws had fallen off to nubs due to layers of sheaded skin build up and he was cold to the touch from lack of heating.

The lizard curls up into his warm hands and it immediately melts the General Mahamatra’s heart

Immediately putting him back and picking up the cage, he leaves the rest of the investigation to his coworkers before rushing to Gandharva Ville

Scared Tighnari and Collei with how quickly he rushed in through the door with a giant glass terrarium.

Looks calm and collected but is sitting in the corner with Collei just staring at Tighnari and the lizard, internal panic on the inside

Once Tighnari gives an analysis, Cyno asks Nari to watch the lizard for a few days and he will come back for it

Proceeds to spend two days straight researching Leopard geckos and how to take care of them

Also blows a good portion of his paycheck on supplies for the gecko, a larger tank, lights, and heating pads, etc.

Picks him up and takes him home as soon as the terrarium is set up

Names him something dumb like “Geck” or a combo of his and Tighnari’s names like “Tighno”

Most people don’t know besides Tighnari and Collei that the gecko exists, and why would they? Who’s gonna believe that the General Mahamatra has a tiny lizard as a pet

When Alhaitham and Kaveh find out Cyno has a pet, Cyno immediately pulls out pictures from his wallet like a proud dad

Whenever he is away for a while, he has Collei house sit and take care of the lizard, pays her generously

Will just sit on top of Cyno’s head or shoulder and chill

Loves to chirp and make little noises for fun/comfort

(also a leopard gecko parent and my gecko is a rescue with all these attributes from being mishandled)

BUCKET LIST ☆ 10

In Saiki's fluorescent colored dream, you and him are playing an intense game of tag you're it. You grab his wrist and pull him towards you, both of you stumbling into each other. Saiki struggles to stand still, your smile blinding him. Your aura seems to radiating brightly, and he cannot pry his eyes away from you.

"I got you!" You exclaim, your breathing becoming heavier.

"You got me" Saiki says breathlessly, his staring still fixed on your grinning face. The dream soon becomes blurry, the color mushing together and your giggling growing faint.

"WAKE UP KUSUO SAIKI".

Your hands are tightly gripping Saiki's shoulders, jerking him awake. He looks like he's in a daze and you interrupted a very crucial dream of his!

Anyways, you actually woke him up right the second after he spoke that sentence in the dream. He blinks slowly, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to see less fog. He lacks eye contact with you in order to avoid turning you to stone. He thinks that would be a lot of explaining to do to your parents, so he would rather be cautious about it.

Once he puts on his green glasses, he slides out of bed and urges you to follow him too.

"I hope you brought a toothbrush" Saiki says, soon realizing he did not see you brush your teeth last night.

"Oh, haha about that. I forgot it" You admit, bashfully smiling. Saiki squeezes paste onto his own brush, placing it into his mouth before opening a cabinet and choosing a plastic wrapped blue toothbrush.

You lean against the door frame, snatching the brush from Saiki’s hand. You stand next to him, facing the mirror as you both your teeth.

“Cat cafe, remember?” You remind him. You watch as disappointment fills his body, yet he nods.

“I remember it all, don’t worry”.

Once you arrive at the cafe, Saiki orders about four pastries, he’s willing to share with you of course. You’re about to sit down at the table when something in the corner of your eye catches your attention. You gasp, rushing over to the multi colored cat on its back, showing its tummy.

"Kuku, look at this calico cat". You hold up a chubby cat with fluffy fur. Saiki trudges over you, he scrunches up his nose and listens to the cat's thoughts.

Purr, this human has soft hands and they smell like strawberries hmm..

He pats the cat's head, sniffing discreetly. Saiki nods, agreeing with the cat. Your fragrance is still strong.

"You always smell like that?" Saiki asks bluntly, carrying the calico cat in his arms. You raise an eyebrow, a string of huh’s slipping out of your mouth.

“Strawberries. You smell like strawberries” Saiki comments, tickling under the cat’s chin. You sniff your cardigan, a wave of fresh fruit scent hitting your nose.

WHAT IF HE FINDS OUT I USE THE CHEAP KIND OF SHAMPOO??!?

“I don’t mind if you use cheap shampoo, don’t worry about it, Y/n”.

You take a step back and shake your head. You honestly forget Saiki can read your thoughts and that has you on edge some of the time.

“I don’t read your thoughts all the time, I wear this ring to avoid interfering your personal space”. Saiki holds up a silver ring and places it in your palm for you to inspect.

“Wowww Saiki, you’re such a gentleman” You utter sarcastically, which Saiki catches on because he himself is often sarcastic too. You grab his hand and slip the ring on his left ring finger. His eyes widen, pulling back his hand. You didn’t notce this action, which Saiki is grateful for.

“Oh, I know”. He bends down and lets go of the kitty, standing up and seeing you are already holding up another cat. This one is a persian, and she seems to like you alot, The cat nuzzles your face, purring loudly.

Saiki squints, deciding to once again read the animals thoughts.

This human seems nice, unlike this pink haired weirdo.

His face falls, his mouth twitching in irritation. The fluffy animals seem to enjoy your presence more as they begin rubbing against your leg. You plop down on the cozy couch, it appears that almost all of the cats are drawn to you.

Saiki shakes his head, sitting down and enjoying the layered cake he previously ordered. It came to him to quick! He switches his seat to have a clearer view of you, but soon decides to sit next to you on the furniture.

You turn to him when he has a spoonful of cake about to fly into his mouth, you nudge him and open your mouth.

“Aaaah”.

Saiki stares at you blankly, not believing that you would voluntarily share a utensil with him. He groans, gently feeding you a piece of cake. With a delighted sound, you nod exaggeratingly and give him a thumbs up.

“You ever get tired of doing that”. Saiki copies your action of throwing a thumbs up, the corners of your lips tugging up. “It’s my signature pose, you know this Kuku”.

Saiki grimaces, setting down the half eaten pastry on his lap.

“Don’t call me tha-”.

Suddenly, your smile fades away, your eyes flutter shut and you fall into Saiki’s arms. Saiki’s eyes enlarge, his hands shaking your shoulders as an attempt to get a reaction from you. Your body feels limp and warm.

“Y/n?”. He rubs his thumbs against your cheeks, you’re unresponsive to his voice and his actions.

This date didn’t seem to go as planned.

He hisses, pulling out his phone and punching 911 on the keypad. He waits for the call to go through, his mouth moving before his thoughts.

"My best friend, they’re unconscious, please come to this address” His words slip out rapidly, his arm around your waist and hoisting you up against his body, The employees must be on their damn break, they don’t know what’s going on in the store.

What seems to be eternity, the paramedics burst through the door and begin checking you. One of them shoots a million questions to Saiki,which he responds to effortlessly but this question really embarrassed him for some reason.

“They’re your lover?”.

He holds up his hand to protest but he simply nods, to play along and hopes this will give him access to stay with you longer at the hospital.

He stares straight at the paramedic and nods, “Yes, I’m their boyfriend”.

Saiki hovers over you, resting his fingertip against your bruised nose. It just never seems to go away. He holds your hand, intertwining your fingers with his. Glancing at the iv stuck in your vein, he starts tracing your veins visible on your arm.

“You’ll be okay, Y/n” He says in a hushed voice, his facial expression soft and tender. The doctor had told him it would be about an hour until you gain consciousness. Due to your exhaustion, he calculated it would actually be an hour and a half.

He lays his arms and head ontop of the edge of the bed, closing his eyes. He snakes his hand to yours again, gripping into it even when sweat is forming subtly.

Falling into a light sleep, time seems to pass by slower. The nurse comes in to check on you, a smile on their face when she sees you both knocked out.

“Sleep tight, kids” She whispers, exiting out of the room as quiet as possible.

You jerk awake, sitting up and realizing your hand is being held in a loose grip. Your eyes travel down and the sight is honestly bewildering to you. Saiki’s hair is a total mess, and he’s sleeping peacefully next to your lap. His hand is still holding onto yours, his nails tickling your palm. With a soft laugh, you slip your hand away, finding its way to his hair and stroking him.

“Oh Kuku, you must have been worried” You mumble, running your fingers through his hair with a grin.

Saiki yawns, lifting up his head and confused look painted on his pale complexion.

“Y/n, you’re awake” He gently speaks, looking down and realizing you both are not holding hands anymore.

“Yeah”. You swallow, a nervous laugh coming out of your system as Saiki walks out the room to get the doctor. You watch his every move, wondering how the hell you're gonna explain this to him.

"Huh, it could be worse" You speak lowly.

Yes, it can.

Saiki walks back into the room, sitting down on the chair next to your bed. He drums and taps his fingertips on the white cloth blanket, his eyes flickering from your eyes to the needle in your arm. He starts humming as you nervously hope that he does not attack you with endless questions.

He does, of course, why wouldn’t he?

“You gonna tell me what the hell is going on?” Saiki asks in a deep, serious tone, which you have never really heard him speak in such voice so he must be pissed off. You give him a pained look, your eyebrows knitting together and your lips in a straight line. His hand turns into a fist as he grabs a handful of the uncomfortable blanket. Yeah, he is definitely not happy.

“I’m just fatigued, you know this-”, “Is that really it?”. He stands up, staring at you with intense concern in his eyes. You swallow, your throat is so dry right now it’s bone like. You nod as convincingly as you could. He sighs, running a hand through his mess of hair.

“I know you’re sick, you can pretend all you want and pretend nothing is ever happening to you, but I’ll know, Y/n, I’ll know” Saiki points at his chest as he speaks every word, his eyes wide and his expression disappointed.

You instantly feel a pit in your stomach, your anxiety shooting up. You really do not want to argue with Saiki, but you are still not ready to tell him what is actually happening to you. Telling him that you’re just tired won’t cut it.

“You don’t know anything” You spat out, an angry look washing over your face. Saiki’s eyes narrow in sadness, another sigh leaving his lips. He sounds annoyed.

“Guess we aren’t close friends like I thought huh?” He retorts with frustration, lightly punching the bed with a fist before turning on his heel and storming out of the room.

You stare at the curtains that are used as doors, the fabric waving side to side slightly as he left. Your bottom lip trembles, your dry throat tightening even worse. Tears tickle your eyes and you gasp loudly. A hand to your chest and you begin sobbing.

You were right , it could be worse.

Megumi, inside he’s a silly Persian kitten, but we'll make him an emo cat of the wind clan (toji says: "Jesus, what a generation" and megumi: "come on, dad..")

Nabora, just as Seko, a calico cat (due to their school designs are very similar) but it would be more accurate to call it tortoiseshell.

Itadori, mostly just a reference of a tiger. Nothing else to add here. Well except that there are lots of similarities with Brambleclaw in his story...Can say so about all 1st year students btw… You know, kill your brother with a nail, hammer, the evil dead* father your mentor fought with

Just a silly thought i had- what if the god of war characters were adorable cats???

Okay so Kratos would be named Kittos, and he’d be a white maine coon with a scar on his eye! (deep down he’s a black cat to me though) OH AND HE’D HAVE A CRUNCHY MEOW!! You’d have to slowly earn his trust for him to feel comfortable with you petting him or getting near his baby. Otherwise he will hiss and bite. He comes and goes as he pleases.

Atreus would be Mewtreus, and he’d be a little orange tabby kitty!! He’ll always be following behind his papa💗 He has a high pitched meow that slightly deepens as he becomes a teenager.

Faye would be a pretty orange Norwegian forest cat, who Mewtreus got his looks from. Her name would be the same because I think it’s just so pretty. A soft, light meow and she’s very watchful yet playful! For an outdoor cat she’s not very dirty at all!

Freya would be a Balinese cat and Freyr would be a Balinese or Siamese cat! Their names would be Mewa and Mewer :) Mewer really loves his uh…cat grass. He cuddles nicely and has a stuffed toy boat named Skiðblaðnir that he loves very much💖

Mimir would be an Oriental shorthair because he loves to talk, and oriental shorthairs are too! Of course i’m going to name him Mewmir😂 He’d be a sweet little kitty who needs a kitty wheelchair but trust he’s always on bumpers when it’s time to fight! He loves pets and will meow until you give him what he wants.

Sindri would be a Sphynx cat but has patches of hair, and Brok would too but he’d be bald(totally NOT because Brok is a skirted egg) They have skippty pap sessions sometimes but they’ll put aside their differences quickly. Sindri loves his personal space, but Brok also loves Sindri’s personal space.

Thor would be an orange persian cat who is fiercely protective of his last daughter, Mewed. (I’m not very creative with the names I know) He will hiss and swat at anyone that gets too close to his baby except for Sif. Has a deep meow and beautiful coat.

Baldur is an Abyssinian and only lets those close to to him pet him, and does not like his mother. He is an outdoor cat that will only come back every blue moon. Kittdur loves to hunt, and would bring back dead prey to as presents.

Sif would be named Sniff and is a Siberian Forest cat! She won’t meow much, but when she does it’s very adorable.

Odin would also be an either an Oriental shorthair because he also talks A LOT !! If not an oriental cat, he’d be a Cornish Rex. Meowdin would be one of those cats that steps on your face in the middle of your night.

Angrboda would be an adorable Calico Kitty!!!! Meowgrboda is her name🫶🏽 She and Mewtreus will cuddle on occasion. She’s the kind of kitty who will stay in your arms all night and snuggle you! She loved to be picked up and enjoys challenging toys. She’s an adorable indoor cat who loves her toys!

Heimdall would be named Hissdall and is a Turkish Van who hisses at everyone except his owner. Will swat at other cats and enjoys his solitude. He tried to bite Mewtreus one time and Kittos didn’t take kindly to that.

Týr would be a brown oriental shorthair, is surprisingly very quiet for his breed but sweet as can be! Will circle around your legs for pets! Has the trademark honk meow and it’s a true treat to hear it.

Do you guys know that one cat meme and it’s just like cuddled nicely vs. bit my ass? Yeah that’s Mewer and Hissdall.

This was fun to write!! I’d would like to write about the Valkyries as cats next, would anyone be interested in seeing that? Please let me know if you are! :)

hiya! :) we've established that Taliesin is a cat person, but what sort of cat person is he? while he strikes me as type who would have at least one pampered, meticulously groomed Persian-equivalent napping on a plush cushion 23 hours a day, I'd be curious about his reaction to a scraggly, less-than-friendly street cat in need of a lot of TLC as well

You hit the nail on the head right there! Taliesin has two cats back home - Thankfully, his sisters took in his cats.

The Duchess is a fat, lazy fluffy white Persian that Taliesin spoiled to no end. Yes, she's always found on her pillow, taking a nap. Only the sound of Taliesin calling her for dinner can make this precious kitty move from her throne!

His other cat is named Taffy Treat, Runefaire helped name this cat. She's a scruffy little calico mix. She's a spazz, always trying to fight anything resembling string, including Taliesin's ponytail. Taliesin found her looking for food around the Thalmor HQ back home on Summerset, he fed her with scrap food and a saucer of milk until she followed him home and he happily took her in. She's a mess, but she's his mess!

okay so, bear with me here. i never got into fnaf as a kid, but after the fnaf movie came out apparently everyone i knew was like "omgggg!!!!" and made me feel like i missed out on a cultural phenomenon. so i bought the first game (and i suck at it 😭), and ive been watching markiplier play through it so i know what to expect and to calm my paranoia etc :). im up to sister location, and shit is getting WILD. i know like, the basics of the lore and what happens but GAWDDAMN. anyways! in what ive seen so far, id have to say either foxy, mangle, or circus baby. yes, yes, shes evil, but a girlboss gotta girlboss /j 😭 (no but fr, i just love her backstory and like her character development and kabfjabdj!!)

i dont actually really know many of the families, but the marshmellow mice and the reindeer twins are so cute!!!!! i have two sets of families, i have the maple cats and the persian cats. my fave calico critters of all time are on instagram, @/emocritters!!! its this person who diys critters to look like various members of my chemical romance from their various eras :)))) theyre SO goddamn cute. @fairylittlebitch said he'd get me one once he has enough money and i am forever worshipping his existence, kissing the ground he stands upon, giving him a big fat (platonic and consensual) smooch.

Lilac Catz

Because one purple cat isn’t enough. Read on for more pictures and ramblings!

I think I might’ve found my hexing niche with my signature purple catz. My first one started with my first hex, Nebula. Since then it’s been fun trying to see what else I could do with purple. (To be fair, I know a lot of these purples aren’t “really” purples but rather greys/pinks/blues with the dithered “illusion” of purple.)

Before there was the lilac siamese, I made a normal colored version by tweaking the OG siamese a little bit. I thought he turned out cute on his own and named him Marcel :)

Bonus picture of both of them doing their special pose at the same time! I’m not great at taking petz pictures so I thought this was a lucky shot!

This may be more pinkish than purple but there’s some purple undertones that might be hard to see from a still shot. I really liked the texture for this one. I feel it matches the original mottled look of the oshie. There’s even a bit of a moonstone-like iridescent blue sheen to it when she moves around.

Had my work cut out for me with this one. To make my own version of the tabby, I essentially had to recreate all the textures. There was something familiar looking about this hex - then I realized it looked like my 1997 silver tabby Beanie Baby - Prance! I added blue eyes and pink whiskers to complete the look!

The pictures don’t do this one justice. When this texture moves around there’s subtle pinks that come in and out of view and it’s a really neat effect. This texture effect worked best as a “full-body” texture so the persian was the best breed to use this one on.

Hands down, the calico was a blast to make. It was just so much fun to take the collection of lilac textures that I made and just swap them in and out to create a variety of calico looks.

A variation leaning more towards the blue side.

A coloration reminiscent of my Rosaline hex with pinks and greys.

I’m in love with how this one turned out. The hot pink spots just made this one pop. I thought the spots looked like rose petals. So I named her Rose ;) Original, I know.

That’s it for now! I was going to do the other breeds (B+W Shorthair, Russian Blue, etc) but it was bit much to do. Maybe in the future I’ll do another round of these.

I don’t know why I made this but it’s just a little idea I’ve had for a while and I think it’s amusing (basically Alison and Mike move in and there’s just. a hoarde of cats. Where did they come from?? Nobody knows. Alison can understand them though lmao)

Humphrey:

But like with white patches on his neck and belly and such (like that ruff thingy on his outfit??? Idk what you call it)
