'humans are all the same, no matter where they are from' was something the great ada tennant had said to pandora. tennant had thought that with all her heart as most people had the same weakness and strengths as everyone else, they were all human at the end of the day. however nowadays she could gladly same there was an exception to her thoughts.

obviously the exception to her was you. the same individual that she met on the streets of paris where she first attempted to sell diamonds to but you surprised her by knowing what her scheme was. you had piqued her interest from that encounter as she had never quite met a stunning figure such as yourself who had the intelligence to call her out on her scams.

it was no surprise to tennant herself that she quickly found herself enamoured by your presence and found herself seeking you out, not just for petty scams that you were very convinced she was trying to pull off. she loved spending her free time with you, the arcanist became much more chivalrous around you andade your heart swoon in ways you never thought possible.

you wanted to memorialize your first date with tennant and so before she picked you up, you made sure that your polaroid camera was brought with. tennant spared no expense when it came to taking you out and she wanted to make sure you had the best time, so when it came to the end of the night as you both sood side by side on the skyline of paris and you held up your polaroid, she couldn't refuse you.

she hasn't been oblivious to the camera that you brought with you but she never mentioned anything as she could take a guess what you brought it for. so when you brought your polaroid up and brought her closer to you, she smiled and pressed a small kiss to your cheek eight as she heard the shutter click. another photo was taken afterwards and after she escorted you back to your accomodation you handed her the first polaroid.

she held that photo close and kept it in perfect condition, she feared that if she lost it she would never gain anything as precious ever again - not even the most expensive diamond could compare to that photo's worth to her. you felt the same really, the second photo was kept in perfect condition and displayed with pride.

it all seemed to perfect in honesty, tennant was the one of the best partners you could ever think of being with - she was so supportive and very quick to compliment you, to treat you right. it was endearing at first, making your heart swoon and fall deeper into live woth her but eventually you're mind started disagreeing. you see, tennant was very good with her words and still treated over people with the same admiration she would with you.

you knew it was part of her character and her trade, it worked wonders with clients who would happily purchase her 'diamonds'. however it just didn't sit right with you when she would start overly complimenting certain high end potential buyers right infront of you. you almost felt selfish for how you acted but who could really blame you when your lover was flirting with others - even for the sake of business.

you voiced your concerns to her as you didn't want your simple jealousy to tear the both of you apart but her honey sweet words that usually made you forgive her for small mishaps sounded cold and fake to you now. her reassurance didn't soothe you and it certainly annoyed you when she began doing the very same thing not even a day later. now you didn't feel so selfish for wanting her to tone it down.

she talked about chilvary and how she wanted to treat you like the gem you were but you really didn't feel that chilvary when she started becoming more distant. she told you time and time again that it was only temporary and she didn't want to get you involved and it made it more than clear to you that when you told her you wanted all parts of her if you were dating her, it went straight over her head.

you hated it but now you could catch yourself staring at the polaroid in your possession with almost a bitter resentment. a part of you felt disappointed in yourself that you fell for her honeyed words and kind actions, maybe she really was just a con woman that sought you out for a long term sale. you decided that you're heart deserved to be let free from the hands that brutally ripped it from your chest with distance and a disregard for your feelings.

the moment the words left your mouth, tennants face dropped. she knew something bad was coming when she came home to see you with a solemn expression on your face but this was what she dreaded. tennant knew and understood that she was becoming slightly distant and did disregard your concerns multiple times but she now realised her words had become fake to you and it was her fault for it.

she somehow managed to work her way back into your heart and convinced you she would change and you could only hope but wish that this wasn't a mistake. it quickly became evident that it was a mistake and all you could do is wonder how long would it be befofe you built the confidence to finally break it off. tennant knew she wouldn't be able to keep you much longer and it broke her heart knowing she had pushed you away - it felt cruel of her to convince you to stay but she didn't want to lose you yet although the way you looked at her made her want to beg for forgiveness. but now, all she could wish for is that you atleast had the kindness to let her keep the polaroid of your first date as a memento to the love she lost because of her own fault.

BEST of BL's in 2023 [Thai edition]

(more accurately my favourites from 2023, so that i have something to show for the 100s of hours i spent watching them lmao)

I Feel You Linger In The Air - Head & Shoulders above (almost) every single piece of queer media i've ever watched. Khun Yai and Jom will be forever icons. That drunk poem confession will NEVER be topped. Also LESBIANS AHHHHHH also the way the show explored intimacy AHHH just end meeee

2. Moonlight Chicken - Aof strikes again. Gave me Uncle Jim, Heart, Li Ming and my baby boy Gaipa- the music, the cinematography, the writing, the found fckin family - i will recommend it to EVERY one on the planet if i could.

3. Be My Favourite- I did not expect to enjoy this show as much as i did. I loved what they were tryna say. I LOVED the queer undertones in EVERYTHING. if not for the asexual erasure and Not being an absolute asshole this would have been quite the perfect show. And man is Gawin so darn sculpted perfection, LOOK AT THAT FACE, how to not admire!? Also Pearmai my beloved. AND THAT POEM in episode 11 ARGHHH

4. Bed Friend - I know this was a polarizing series in a lot of ways and I agree to some of the complaints raised BUTTTTTT NET MY FRENZ NET! How am i supposed to not melt into a complete puddle watching King pretend to not be absolutely in love with Uea, and treating him like the babygirl he is, when he looks like THAT. I'm but a mere mortal.

5. La Pluie - I kinda liked the show and disliked it in equal amounts. Saengtai annoyed me quite a LOT towards the end BUT his brother Sangtien - Suar Kritsanaphong had me in the palm of his hand. Him and his kiss with Lomfon is etched firmly in my brain. It HAD to be on this list.

6. Only Friends - Gawd. The Promise. The Promise of it all. Thats what maddens me THE MOST. There was just SO MUCH that they could have done. Even if they stuck with a lot of their similar choices i would have still put it higher up on the list if they hadn't undone all the good work they did in the final episode. I couldnt even bring myself to rewatch anything from this one cos of how disappointingly it ended. That being said - FirstKhao KILLED it as usual, i CANNOT wait for their next one, BOSTON deserved better and my MVP- Mark Pakin AHHH i NEED him on EVERY SHOW EVER but also in ways concerning to me GAWD WHAT A TALENT AND WHAT A FACE.

7. Laws of Attraction - Charn you guys. Charn and his utterly deranged expressions and his even more deranged ex. And ofc everything else the show offered. The drama. The mystery. The family. The romance. THE LESBIANS!!!!? Few things not to love. Especially the finale with all the domestic husbanding going on. Precious af.

8. Hidden Agenda - Far too much nonsensical plotlessness going on here for this to claim this position BUT i'm just a girl watching Joong swoon over his man and losing it in the corridor and proceeding to do that myself cos man he's so damn good in these kinda scenes. I think he'd be good in more serious ones too but I would much prefer it if it was with somebody who could offer more than Dunk (no shade he very cute himself)

The Sign - nothing i can ever say is gonna be enough to encompass just how mind-blowing this series is from concept to execution to CGI to costumes to the gorgeous leads with fckin electric chemistry AND the PINING and the will they won't they arhhhh- TOP TIER STUFF

Cooking Crush - i went into this with minimal expectations, the trailer didnt do much for me BUT oh my gawd i had SO MUCH FUN with each episode, i laughed SO much and i am very much looking forward to the rest of it

Cherry Magic - TayNew back again together. Karan and his gorgeous existence. Loved the og. The trope where one believes they are hard to love & someone who loves them like it’s breathing- its literally made for this show and i am SUPER excited where it goes. The girls of Cousins Beach are so damn pretty. They were everything you thought you weren’t. They had hour glass figures, fair skin, and straight, well kept hair. They were the types of girls you see in movies as the main love interest. They were the types of girls that boys swooned over. And they were the reason you were crying, half naked in front of your mirror. They were the reason you were left wondering why Jeremiah flip-fucking Fisher was wasting his precious time with you.

Take Shayla for instance. Yeah. Shayla is ideal. Hour glass figure, fair skin, and straight, well kept hair. Not to mention her family was loaded. She was the definition of classy, the definition of perfect.

You couldn’t help but wonder what it would feel like to be so sure of yourself. So desirable. What it would feel like to not have to clutch your stomach every time you were crazy enough to work up the balls to put on a crop top or a bikini. What it would feel like to be considered one of the “pretty” girls. Or what it would feel like to not even have to worry if your boyfriend was fucking someone else behind your back because why would he when he’s got you. Exemplary.

But you would never feel that way and you would never be those girls so you crumbled yourself into a ball and wept in nothing but a bra and underwear.

Meanwhile, Jeremiah had a sixth sense when it came to you. His frontal lobe started to tingle. Dropping what he was doing, he dug through the couch cushions to find his phone. Calling his most recent number.

The opening melody of Good Days by SZA started playing from your phone. Shit. It was Jeremiah. You immediately knew. In a rush, you scrambled to your feet, wiped the tears from your face and picked up the phone.

“Hello?” The boy on the other line said. He sounded like a worried mother.

“Hey Jere.” You exclaimed. You were using your telemarketer voice, as you liked to call it. It made you sound…happy.

“Is everything ok?” Now why the hell was he asking you that?

“Yeah, yeah everything’s fine. Why do you ask?” You let out a sniffle. Shit.

“Baby are you crying?” Well now that he knew he was going to go into mama bear mode meaning there was no point in lying anymore and yet you did it anyways.

“No, I’m fine.” Stupid.

“Y/n, I’m coming over. Just hold on, ok?” And with that he hung up. Shit shit shit. You scrambled to your feet to look out the window. He was already on his way. It was only at this time that you dreaded living two houses away from him.

You threw on a pair of sweatpants and the first shirt you could find, made your hair look as presentable as you could and quickly grabbed a book off of your shelf to make it look like you were doing something else before. You jumped on your bed and propped your upper body up on the headboard, awaiting his arrival.

The front door was open seeing as you left it unlocked and there was only one car in the driveway indicating that you were home alone.

Hearing the door open and close and your boyfriend’s footsteps slowly becoming louder as he came closer and closer to your room made your heart race.

You took a deep breath, swearing that could taste the salt in the air from your tears. You gave your face one last good wipe and with that door flung open to reveal your (beyond perturbed) Jere bear.

Looking up from the book you weren’t really reading, you smiled at him. But no matter how hard you tried nothing could hide the melancholy atmosphere you had created in the time you spent cradled on the floor in front of your mirror. Nothing could hide the redness of your eyes and absolutely nothing could hide the way Jeremiah saw through you like a piece of glass.

He slowly made his way towards your bed as if he was trying not to startle you. He slipped his shoes off and slowly crawled into bed with you, tucking you both under the covers. He waited for you to turn and face him to talk but when your eyes met his, when you saw the way he looked at you with so much love and acceptance, you broke. The dam you had poorly built broke and your tears came falling once again.

The boy pulled you into his chest, stroking and kissing your head.

“Shhhhh, it’s ok my love, I’m here.” He would say in many different variations. His soothing soon brought your waterworks to a halt but you still couldn’t look at him. You continued to stare at the wet spot you had created on his wife beater and the lighter surrounding parts of it. Anywhere but his face.

“You don’t have to tell me what happened, y’know?” He wasn’t expecting an answer, he was telling you more rather than asking you. He didn’t even try to look at your face. He just left you be and continued to let you dance your fingers across his chest.

“Do you ever wish I looked like someone else or was someone else?” Ripping the band-aid clean off. There was no way around it but through it.

“What? No. Where did you get that from?” This time Jeremiah pulled you away from his chest so he could look at your face. He wiped a stray tear from your cheek with his thumb.

“I don’t know,” you did know “I just…look at every other girl in Cousins and it’s just…I don’t know,” you said that already “you could have any girl you wanted and you’re with…me. I just don’t get it.”

The boy across from you kept eye contact with you the entire time. His face contorting into what seemed like a million different expressions throughout your confession, he was bemused to say the least.

“I mean sometimes I even think you’re with me out of pity or maybe it was a dare or a bet you made with Steven…I don’t know I just wish you could be with someone you actually deserve.” You finished. Well at least you thought you were finished. Honestly, you could go on about it all day but simply based off of the expression on your boyfriend’s face you knew he wouldn’t let you.

“First of all, I don’t know where the hell this is coming from but I like you because you aren’t like every other girl in Cousins. To be honest, they’re all carbon copies of each other, most of them are like barbie dolls with no personalities. Also if you’re inferring that your inferior to any of them because of your looks then you’re out of your goddamn mind. You’re the smartest, funniest, most gorgeous girl I’ve ever met. Hell, sometimes I even question why you’re with me, y’know? after meeting rosa, so relieved to meet another person like him in this time, and being inexplicably drawn to them... something as simple as his gentle, shy smile and firm handshake as they introduced themself shook ingo. was he really so touch starved that he'd fall for another at the first (warm, reassuring, solid...) touch? as if he knew he would be able to depend on them in the highlands soon enough, without a second thought? theyd just met!... hadn't they?

Maybe then Nico would see him as an equal, maybe then Nico would love him, Maybe then Nico would realize that it's Max that deserves his attention. Max knew in that moment if he ever won the championship Nico's name would be the only thing on his lips.

Last dday of classes before Christmas break but I got obsessed with a book too early and now I can't focus so here are my thoughts

UUFHFBFBHDHD I LOVE ROTSGE SO MUCH THIS IS MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A CHILD AGAIN BUT GODDAMN INSTEAD OF BEING HAPPY BECAUSE I'M READING SOMETHING PRECIOUS TO MY CHILDHOOD I'M SO STRESSED BECAUSE IT CHANGES EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE BROTHERS AND I DONT HAVE ANY FRIENDS THAT HAVE READ THIS BOOK SERIES SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO COPE

ji0PARALLELS. I though the parallel between Soph + Aggie and Raf + Rhi was that there's like one evil, one good, and that they're siblings and they're like leaders of their schools kinda? (Agatha being Camelots queen and Sophie being evil's dean) BUT NOO THE FACT THAT THEY WERE SWITCHED?? I MEAN NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT IT WAS A VERY GOOD POSSIBILITY BUT IDK MAN I NEED TO REREAD THE MAIN SERIES

RHIAN NEED S TO BE PUT IN THE DOOM ROOM FOR BEING A GULLIBLE GAY WHORE LIKE BRO EVERYTIME HE MEETS A REMOTELY PIRATE-LOOKING PERSON AND SWOONS I JUST WANT OT SERIOUSLY SHOVE THE STORIAN UP HIS ASS BUT I WOULDN'T BE SUPRISED IF HIS HOE ASS WOULD LIKE THAT

I dont actually think hook was that bad tbh, I feel like he was JUST about to find that he was evil and when he had a piece of Rafal's sorcerer soul he developed a taste for it and realized he was evil early etc etc and he thought to use that power to defeat pan but the magic fades over time because it's just a piece so he went for his gullible ass brother(btw that was the shittiest and most obvious manipulation tactic I have ever seen but it worked on rhian somehow)

ALSO I almost said "wait if Rafal was the good one why was his soul frosty and cold and... evil??" it wasn't. he was just salty and determined to the mission at hand and Raf feels like the type to internally shut down emotionally when he's upset so yeah that explains the coldness

Vulcan is THE walking "ick" like this mf really thought calling Rhian "duckling" was seductive enough to get him to betray his brother(it worked for a split second though)

THE POSEUR THEORY (it isn't officially called the poseur theory but it's my name for it). the theory that main series Rafal is actually Rhian is absolutely. just holy shit. THERE IS SO MUCH EVIDENCE TO BACK IT UP. My personal addition is when Vulcan was first introduced I was like "OHHH lolz the brothers have a type for stylish villains" BUT NOW, I THINK ONLY ONE HAS A TYPE. Also I don't know what would be worse, if the theory is true, or Rafal went through some shit and went mad over the hundred years after he's killed his brother and in some sick twisted coping mechanism he becomes him/unwillingly became like him personality wise.

THE FACT THAT THERE ARE 2 FICS ON THIS BOOK ON AO3(NOT COUNTING THE ONE INCEST FIC) LIKE COME ONNNN GUYS PLEAAE GIVE ME CHARACTER STUDIES!! POST-BOOK THEORY FICS!! FUCK I'LL EVEN TAKE OMEGAVERSE SMUT IF IT MEANS CONTENT
