12.a hoarse whisper “kiss me”
Illidan was adapting nicely to living on the surface plus the sea wasn't too far away if he felt the need to dip back into his natural habitat. However there was one thing keeping the naga nervous about his new living arrangements, the fact that he was finding himself rather attracted to his generous host.
He was quite aware that she seemed to be flirting with him and he wasn’t quite sure what to make of that. After all she was an elf and he was a naga, surely she didn’t actually want to date a naga of all things. The last thing he wanted to do was cross a line and make her uncomfortable and himself embarrassed.
But here they were curled up {rather coiled up in his case} by the fire, both of them leafing through books on their laps. Illidan kept looking up from his book to steal a glance at her and hurried looking back at his book if he thought she noticed.
“Is something wrong Illidan? You seem very jumpy.” She asked breaking the silence between them.
He responded to the sudden realisation that she had in fact noticed by muttering something in Nazja and hiding his face behind his book. “N..n..no nothing’s wrong at all.”
“I errr I just….” He continued his sentence but his words were muffled by the book.
“I’m sorry I didn’t catch that?”
Illidan could tell that she wasn’t going to drop this and he’d dug this hole deep enough it would seem. He took a breath and collected himself trying to ignore the feeling of blood rushing to his cheeks and ears.
“I sssssaid, Kissssss me.” His volume was barely louder than a whisper and he was suddenly very embarrassed more so because his ‘s’ had stuck than what he had actually said. The tip of his tail flicked back and forth in agitation as he waited for her response.
“You’re going to have to move the book for that.” She replied scooting closer to him.
He blinked a few times not expecting this to be her reaction, but obliged as this was what he had wanted after all.
“Relax.” She soothed running a hand over his cheek “Here I thought you were never going to ask.”
He smirked realising that they both had been too shy to make a move when clearly they had feelings for each other. He still found himself blushing as she leaned in and their lips touched, but it was so much easier to just let it happen than spend his time worrying.

but on another note, I'm wonder if Sebastian had any knowledge this attack? I mean, I'm still stuck on his little small talk, I can't think of a good reason at the moment(probably will later but I'm hyped rn) why he would chat up with a human -that we as the audience have never seen or even heard of before- besides the fact that there is information he would want to know. plus he was very quick to respond(via bard). would he already know that there are bad folk around? or was his questioning simply plot convenience.
I'm also curious why there was so much emphasis on bard spotting his money exchange with the man. I'm not sure why bard would have such a reason to be suspicious. does he wanna get payed or something? am i thinking too deeply or not enough. mhm.. ugh
but one thing's for sure and that's that Sebastian will take literally any opportunity he can to laugh about his master to others.

of course I must mention how I ~swoon~ every time we get a beautiful background or historical reference or something that reminds me of the world they're in😍 like fresh air.
and... this. jeez I wonder how often he flashbacks to his family. of course the tragic event probably happened somewhat recently in the time this chapter took place... or did it? the chapter seems to be moving along now in the story rather than lingering on inception, which is amazing because I am very excited to see what goes down next month with the whole crew. I wonder if we will ever get answers about his family? perhaps not. maybe she'll just leave us guessing. I wonder...
but in the end, I am very pleased with this chapter! I enjoyed all the interactions with the characters, the setting, world building if you will. and I am very excited to see the team in action, all of them for the first time ever chronologically!!! we'll, except for Tanaka I assume, wherever he is. and snake... but other than that yea.

Rick and Jonathan, fishing OR Rick and Evie, hospital
I almost went for the second one because I had a devastating idea (something set in 1976, and the year is relevant because of these drawings I made a while ago) but then the first prompt gave me a mental picture and I just had to do something with it :D The format is a little unusual, dialogue-only, but I hope you like anyway.
Gone Fishing
“I must say, old boy, this is not exactly how I saw this afternoon going.”
“And whose fault is that? We wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t—”
“Hold on there, partner, I refuse to shoulder the entirety of the blame here. You were the one who kept insisting she should lie down.”
“But – but you called her a beached whale!”
“She’s my sister! We’re legally allowed to be horrible to each other! Besides, she knows I didn’t mean a word of—”
“Yeah, well, look at the result! God, I can’t believe you got me banished from my own home – by my own wife – hey, I think yours is biting.”
“Fat chance of that. I didn’t put anything on the hook.”
“Don’t tell me you forgot—”
“I didn’t forget anything. I’d rather not touch anything that slimy and wriggly if I can help it. Earthworms belong in the earth. It’s in the name description and everything.”
“Jonathan!”
“What? Just because my very pregnant sister got sick of us both and sent us away to ‘catch tonight’s meal’ doesn’t mean I have to bow down to her every wish – which, by the way, is your job – and get my fingers acquainted with disgusting members of the animal kingdom. Eurgh.”
[sighs] “At this rate we’ll still be there next week.”
“That’s being optimistic. I don’t know about you, but I’m a lousy fisherman.”
“No kidding. I’d never have guessed.”
“Hah bloody hah, O’Connell.”
“Look, what I’m saying is that all we need to do is catch something, apologise to Evy, and we both get to go home – you back to London and me back to my – again – very pregnant wife.” [beat] “Hey, uh… Eight months is pretty far along, right?”
“I’ll say. Poor Evy looks fit to burst these days. Why?”
“You don’t think there’s a risk she might…? You know, if the baby decides it’s time to…?”

“…”
“…Sod this, let’s drive to Walton-on-Thames. We’re halfway there anyway. Someone might be able to sell us a fresh shad or something.”
“Okay. Good call. As long as we’re both off the hook when we get back.”
“Indeed. Oh, er, speaking of hooks, I do believe you’ve got something at the end of yours.”
“Well, how about that? Okay, let me just… reel it in…”
“Careful there, Rick, you don’t want to—”
“I know what I’m doing, all right? Don’t—”

“…Walton-on-Thames, huh?”
“Yep.”
“Okay, let’s go get a fish. And not a word to Evy.”

So, in case it was unclear, Rick got a little too overprotective with pregnant Evy (because he’s worried, poor man), and then Jonathan popped in with a truly spectacular show of bad timing, and Evy just got Enough. Don’t worry, though, Alex will be born at full-term, and not while his father and uncle are cheating at fishing :D

Thoughts on the Hooty episode???
I'm screaming.
Spoilers for today's episode of The Owl House (Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door).
Oh my god, this episode. I love how people on Tumblr thought it would be "filler" because it's a Hooty episode. This show treats its joke character like an actual character! Yay for continuing his letters to Lilith! (Even if he's a little shit at the end and eats King's letter from his dad 😂)
The whole structure of this episode really worked, as Bevin said to me today, because it's all based in character. Hooty's experience as a demon, his knowledge of Eda and her condition, and his overemotionality all led to him actually giving everyone a push in the direction they needed, and it was great!!
Eda's struggle to accept her chronic illness as a part of her has been so long-standing, and I love that taking a step towards the acceptance of her condition gave her that badass Harpy form she can use to protect her kids! The Found Family vibes are real!
And King's sweet little storyline about trying to find out answers leading to his discovery of his Bweh power, so good. I adore him now and want to protect at all costs.
And, of course, Luz and Amity!!! These doooorks! I LOVE seeing a natural, well-paced romance where the couple gets together before the end of the show because love isn't some prize you win for emotional development! And they have other things going on in their lives, they're full characters! This relationship is so well-developed, so they earned every bit of cuteness in this episode. It all came from such genuine and understandable places, from Luz's past alienation to Amity's hurt when Luz rejected the tunnel of love in front of her. And their little line about how scary it is! So fucking good, because yes it damn well is!!
I love everything here and it makes me so, so happy. I wish more shows were like this, but I'm so happy for this one.
And so interested to see how things develop from here. Like, y'all remember how Amity wanted to be in the Emporer's Coven, right? How's that gonna play now that she's dating Luz and aligned with the Bad Girl coven? And how is King going to find his dad? Will he ever actually find out that Hooty ate his letter?
I'm so IN.
And we still don't know what's up with Creepy Luz!!!

5.4 Spoilers
So, there’s a very cute set of dialog options.
Now, I admit I’m a shipper, so there’s a certain romantic overtone to these to me, but I know that’s not the case.
G’raha says something about how he hoped the peace would last but the world needs saving (re: Fandango saying “I’m gonna kill everyone and then myself”)
If you pick the first option, this is what G’raha says:
Very determined boy if you take the set-up seriously.
If you decide to be tease-y flirt-y with the second option.
He flirts right back. Well, I think it’s a bit flirty, but it could just be friendly teasing, But the fact he replies the same makes it cute to me. Especially because the words in question mean that, at least for the moment, he’s not looking for any worthy causes to sacrifice himself for. (I think this one in particular means he’ll still be semi-important in 5.5, though I think his main role in this was “Find the answer cuz we need his blood” so it’ll be transferring him to background with occasional arc importance)
Finally, if you go full Terpsichore-level goofy answer with the third option.
He promises to return the favor you did for him at the end of 5.3.
DOOOORK.
(Officially I picked 1, because while Lin and him are engaged as of 5.4, she’s not gonna protect him from what her life was like during the time between 2.0 and 4.4, but she also could have picked 2, because Lin’s a tease-y flirt with him and that one leads to an obvious smooch moment. Though 5.4 in general had Alisaie third-wheeling as they kept forgetting they were doing serious stuff, and one of them would do something that would lead to a smooch)

Because my sister isn't responding, let me shout into the void about Starfinder!
My dm just complimented me on my roleplaying last week!!!! I'm so happy!!! I wasn't sure about the scene, I thought maybe it was too emotional for an android, and I said a *lot* in a short amount of time, and my character is freaking out about everything that has happened (is anything real? Why have my friends changed races/physical appearance without any of us noticing?? Why do we remember being experimented on by Grey's without actually having any sensible notion of how they got access to us/got us on their ship and back??).
Basically I was wondering if it was a good character choice and he had a little chat to me before our session tonight to make sure what the vibe is like with Cora rn, and we had a little chit chat, and he said it was good rp!! I was like omg thank u!!! I sounded like a manic but it makes sense!!!
No thanks to my boyfriend, who has a habit of appearing in my peripheral vision while I'm role playing and just mouthing "you doooork" while I do lmfao.
But yeah! Just yelling into the void about how I'm happy, which is nice 🥰
