Say hello to George, Pickles, and Sweetie.
I miss these babies. They loved to sleep on me. I wish I could have taken them with me when I moved. But they're my parents' cats, so that would have been wrong.

📚 QUEERBOOK 2024 is hereee! We made a book by and for LGBTQ+ youth! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
Last year, we asked LGBTQ+ youth: what's your idea of a "queer utopia?"
Not gonna lie - with more than 150 bills introduced in 35 states in 2023 that aimed to restrict student access to inclusive and diverse books and other library materials, the theme felt pretty radical.
And you DELIVERED. With the help of our Youth Voices (amazing queer youth activists from across the country), we compiled your amazing submissions of poetry, short essays and letters, visual art, photography, and more into Queerbook 2024. Like a yearbook, it captures what queer youth are feeling, going through, and hoping for - right here, right now across the U.S.
It's also no accident that it's the perfect small-ish size to stash in your locker or backpack so you can crack it open any time you're looking for some queer connection. :3
Read some more about the book and grab your own limited-run copy of Queerbook 2024 now here.

Great news y’all! I found a local TNR program that’ll help us out! They’re going to spay the mamas when they’re done nursing and bring them back here where they can continue to live under my outbuildings and on my porch and they’re letting me foster the kittens until they’re old enough to move into their adoption program. So I’m going to be bringing everyone inside (once again) into my guest room until they are all taken care of. I told them about all the tomcats that come around when the mamas are in heat so they’re gonna set some traps and see if they can’t get them neutered as well. Adopted if they’re young enough and sociable enough. So hopefully my run of new litters every 2-3 months is over. I also offered to help with their fundraising to pay for everything they do.
Unfortunately, 3 of the Orange Tabby’s babies passed within their first few days of life. Honestly, I think she had them too soon. They were so tiny. But those that are left - and the Tortie’s mini torte - are strong and healthy. And now hopefully they will all be spared future births and living on the streets.
So relieved.
