| Looooook it's Asim I mentioned from another recently posted post... (If anybody actually looked at said post anyways...)

Anyways, this is the one who took in Caligo roughly after they escaped their former home.. Asim would then take care of them, tend to their wounds while also slowly and gradually intriducing them to the small survivor group.. Thus eventually adopting them officially, he and Caligo would spend time regularly since then til at one point Asim starts having feelings for them..

It seemed like fate had brought them together when Caligo would soon after return the feelings, they've been inseparable since... Even more when they eventually have a kid together after having the small group's traditional wedding ceremony (to which I would absolutely love to get into slightly further detail another time). Anyways, enough about their relationship, let's talk more about Asim as a character:

Asim's small tribe consists of beings with very similiar attributes to faes, they can be very benevolent, selfless and magical beings... Well, Asim is magical because his own people actually considered him a sort of "beacon of hope" to them, he will eventually take over the group when the elder passes on... But in the meantime, he is his best second in command and very trustworthy friend! His tribe mainly venture in these realms and take refuge in abandoned yet sturdy structures, sometimes in the gutters and sewers of towns and kingdoms, or even sneak themselves into small crevices or unused rooms/basements of people's homes! (Whether they are known to the home owners or not is another question of course) They scavenge, collect and pick up what they can eat or use as bedding or protection, that's why having someone who acknowledges and embraces their magical background, like Asim, is actually a blessing! He can cook with even just small fires, brew the most effective and soothing potions and other medicines while also giving his family the desires they yearn for; Nobody is ungrateful about it either, so it's a nice change of pace for once...

Of course they do have a set home somewhere but I'll get to that in a bit.

Anyways:

The Fae civilization Asim is born into is not entirely like the Fae we are completely familiar with on Folklore, in fact they are a lot more similar to humans and other races from within the Promised Land! Dealing with daily struggles, surviving and living like everyone else; However the spiritual and deep connection to nature along with being able to listen and speak to it is also present.. They mostly use it to their advantage with defence, everyday appliances and tools and whatnot. Although of what Asim is part of is mainly morally good and keep to themselves to keep their own safe, they of course do have the few mischievous lot who tend to enjoy messing with outsiders or intruders in their small permanent/temporary safe havens.

In fact they do have their own haven! It's deep within a "mythical" forest within the strange lands full to the brim with lush forestation, beautiful natural lights and rich fruits and veg; Reasons why the majority of the Fae leave the forest and find other locations and places to hide/ survive and so forth because so it doesn't raise suspicion from evil leaders and others who will cause ill and harm upon the sacred forest, so the majority move and split into sectors around the lands to find homes in other ways. Asim's group being mostly finding refuge or hiding in places like old cabins, empty rooms of lone homes despite is people live in them still or not and so on.. The Fae has had historical issues with the Vermin and the Palace of Gold in the past due to previous leaders trying to either take over, steal all resources and such from within or enslaving the Fae for their capabilities of their "chosen ones" being able to use and manage magic.

Of course with that being in the past now and civilizations somewhat leaving them alone now, things have all quietened for generations... With the exception of the Lord of the Deceitful who, not only wishes to take over as King on the Golden Palace (the biggest and richest kingdom of the lands), but also to be able to claim powerful magics and abilities as much as possible so he can claim the Promised Land as his own... So in a sense, Asim being able to deal with and work very well with magic as the Fae's of this generations "chosen one" and potentially being the best and strongest one yet, he will nee to take major precautions so that never happens.

But beside that, he's a great cook, he's also very good at sculpting either with clay he collects himself or with perfect woodwork, and his voice is very soothing.. He would regularly use it for Caligo when he brought them to his group as they would deal with severe panic attacks from trauma.... It worked like a charm, safe to say that's one of the reasons why they ended up falling in love.

The features of Fae's are very interesting and kinda cute; Their eyes tend to vary with colours, of course mostly ranging with pastel colours while their pupils are purple. Asim is also blind in his left eye due to an infection that he never got to treating in time, he tends to cover that up because of his insecurity. Fae also have rather thick pink lashes, kinda like butterfly antennas, their eyes literally flutter and they do look beautiful. Another obvious feature is their pink tipped ears, also being very expressive them as they wiggle when happy or content and droop when upset.. The only thing that's unknown about this race is if they have wings or wing-like appendages at all, to which most rumours support that they do not but potentially glowing pink wing like markings on their backs, in fact pink glowing markings seem to almost cover their entire bodies as they also vary in shapes too.

Now I just need to focus on their kid, who it's obviously Karmen.. She's not entirely difficult herself seeing as the features of both Caligo and Asim will also be present on her, but obviously I'll be drawing her when she's 17 (just like her Yiga counterpart of course so no different there), Caligo of course having her rather young so yeah...

Trying to do math with age differences is annoying as fuck and honestly I don't understand how people can do this, making the information work without either getting confused or having to correct themselves/ be corrected when the math is wrong..

Oh well.. A lot of this probably doesn't make any sense anyways so who tf even reads this I guess....

just a little update!! bc i feel like it

#i finished compiling the zine last night (yay)#it's technically a proof rn and we haven't sent it out to our contributors yet but!! i wanted to yell about it somewhere #i had a whole crisis exporting the pdf bc i realized the bleed border somehow didn't save into the original file #but thankfully i was able to add it in at the end and bc i had scaled the files correctly i didn't have to modify much #thanks ig i.ndesign /reluctant #was the process frustrating? yes. was it fulfilling though? absolutely. i'm so proud of everyone that participated #also i finally got the confirmation email for the conference i applied for and my supervisor emailed me her congrats w/ emojis ;u;#it's next month. terrifying. but i know at least 2 ppl speaking too so it'll be ok #i'm going first hjdfhs and then i'll show up to support them #i'm on the final part of that project and it needs to be done before i present so.. just a bit more to go #the vibes have been off lately but things are getting done over here #not saying i'm going on hiatus bc i'm still gonna be doodling to stay sane but it's a possibility in the near future #i do have ideas and things i want to post for archival purposes ofc so it will never be radio silence #oh right and i haven't done any of the new quests bc [gestures at above]#note

Sigh. Nikola why must you be one of the more interesting oni characters. I don't wanna think abt you with your stupid spiky blond hair and your unethical science that mostly just serves to make Jackie more shitty by proxy. But I do. Because you're kind of orbo blorbo. secretly loves piggyback rides, but never asks, u just see him get this look in his eyes, and shuffling in place just behind you lol

his favorite is piggyback rides, since he was raised by his grandma, and there weren’t a whole lot of close, young adults to pick him up as a kid

so now, he takes FULL advantage of u being able to easily pick him up lol

YES you have given him a piggyback ride, when a flood of water burst a dam during a battle/the other Links got out but Time didn't bc of his heavy armor,

so u yoink him up and just stood ur ground against the raging waves and climbed a rock until u weren't submerged anymore, poor guy was so worn out from the battle + the flood that he just let you carry him all the way until u camped for the night, and secretly took a nap 😭

You guys. Ever think that when Eddie said “I want to go home” at the end of the secret Homewarming video, he is technically homeless?

I remember a post somewhere about how when Eddie was having that staring contest with Home, it was in a sense implicating the idea of how at first, Eddie was feeling at home when he finally got to rest in the chair. But when he and Home started staring at one another, it suddenly became this very unnerving and perturbing moment for Eddie as he began to spiral into this dissociation/depersonalization upon his revelation.

And the fact that when someone is feeling at home, they feel welcomed and comfy within the walls of said home — especially within the confines of their own home. It ofc sounds stupidly obvious and unnecessary for me to mention, but it connects to my original thought (it was far better worded in the post I mentioned before — which I hope to find later).

Moreover, it’s this intimidatingly imposing moment in which Home stares down at Eddie that in a way, it’s as if it’s not only subjecting him to the horrors of the reality they live in, as well as what they are, but it may also be subjecting him to the idea that — since Home is a place to belong and give warmth and comfort to those within it’s confines — unlike everyone else, Eddie may not be welcomed as much as everyone else is.

Could it be something related to the fact that Playfellow Workshop was intending to take him out that he is subjected to the horrors? Or was it because that Eddie was scrapped out of Homewarming that Home decided to contribute in some way to Eddie’s episode of dissociation/depersonalization & revelation?

And this makes it all the more interesting considering the neighborhood is celebrating “Homewarming” — which seems to be a holiday that celebrates Home with the title and some of the odd holiday rituals (though to be fair, I need to properly read up on everything within the update just to be sure).

Another thing that I feel may be well related to this, and what I have mentioned earlier, is that unlike majority of the other neighbors, Eddie doesn’t have an actual home. All he has is the post office.

I feel this may connect well with my theories/thoughts/ideas about how Playfellow Workshop perceives Eddie as a character in terms of purpose and how he appears to them — a simple mailman. Nothing more, nothing less. It may also leak into the idea of the realm between reality and the WH-world in which since Eddie is simply a mailman, this is all he is given.

No home, nor comforting confines for him.

This can also be taken into account that Howdy is quite similar — as like Eddie, all he has is his bodega.

thinking about an alternate season 7 wherein instead of every potential slayer being hunted and then activated, every past slayer gets brought back to life. I don’t really like post-chosen content anyway, but when I do read / look at it the whole slayer academy, everyone’s a slayer thing is really stupid to me ngl 💀

previous slayers, though… nikki wood and xin rong interacting with spike, actually finding out about the slayer before buffy, slayers with different backgrounds and situations and personalities, KENDRA?! I just love it so much.

you’d be able to focus on a relatively small cast of slayers, much like the potentials, throughout the season. this would include buffy, faith, kendra, nikki, and some other american slayers from varying time periods with a couple interesting international characters too (maybe a slayer from ancient greece / rome / egypt, or an anglo-saxon one or something). these are all experienced slayers, so no need to focus on training - it would be more about lore, history and their personal character journeys, assimilating them into society (creating some fun bottle episodes, maybe a day out on the town with dawn and a historical slayer) and trying to figure out why they were all brought back. also, if you want to keep the first as the main villain, then it can look like any one of them because they’re all technically dead, which means you can still have that episode with the dead potential revealing herself as the first and all the mistrust that’s threaded throughout the season.

plus with nikki back, there would be no need for the stupid sleeper agent thing with spike or the ridiculous fight between him and robin. all the same ideas (and the flashbacks to spike’s mum) could still be explored, and in a way better way imo.

I reckon the reason they were brought back would probably be the powers that be (tying nicely into angel ofc) trying to defeat the first. and of course the ending would be this huge battle, as all the slayers from around the world come to sunnydale, and maybe to add some drama they would all disappear and die again when the battle’s done as they have fulfilled their purpose (a classic finale knife to the heart that would have everyone sobbing, especially over nikki and kendra).

there’s also the added thing of like,, I appreciate the show was leaning towards a theme of “hope for the future” with the potentials angle, but literally every other aspect of the season is about harkening back to the past. faith, robin, the first taking the form of previous characters, the high school, the slayer origins, etc etc. so I just think this idea would work so much better with the themes of the season, and tie in really nicely.

and the most obvious perk of this concept is kendra! she was forgotten about so quickly, and this season would really give the writers a chance to redeem themselves for the terrible way poc characters have been treated throughout the show (ignoring what they did to robin. FUCK that but that’s another conversation). I think the show really downplayed how much kendra’s death would have affected buffy, and seeing the two of them interact after buffy has changed so much and kendra’s still the same would be amazing. there’s also the interesting concept that, having been brought back from the dead, kendra still be 17, and therefore closer in age to dawn than to buffy, which could make for some really nice interactions between the two of them. also of course the biggest most exciting thing is having buffy, faith and kendra all interact. they all represent places on a spectrum in terms of personality, and I would LOVE to see kendra and faith interact and how much of a unit they would likely become as a trio.

there’s also the theme of buffy feeling (and being) alone in this season that would hopefully go away, as she would now have dozens of people who truly understand her, giving her a proper support system which I would love to see (season 7 scoobies can actually eat shit btw <3)

so. was this born out of my hatred for insufferable kennedy and the annoying potentials? yes absolutely. do I now want them to rewrite and re-film the entire last season 20 years later? yes absolutely I’m so glad you understand

side note wouldn’t it be sick if in the final battle there’s just this one slo-mo shot where buffy stakes a vamp and through the dust she sees the first slayer looking at her from across the battlefield before she disappears amongst the fight. WHAT it would literally be awesome hello?!

Lute being the amazing gf she is steps up and offers reader to drink hers! Reader is incredibly hesitant tho cuz she doesn't want to hurt Lute. However she eventually agrees to feed from her. (Maybe gold blood taste different from red). Lute praising her the whole while for being strong and patient even tho she'd been starved. <3

I imagine it would be an incredibly intimate and fluffy moment due to the trust required

Being a vampire and dating an angel? How the hell did that even happen? Technically speaking, you'd have to have been a demon- who was redeemed EVEN BEFORE lute even considered dating you-

Like. Ofc it's lute she's a bitch to all demons(and deep down she may view your vampire side as the remaining sin of being a demon even now) but. She loves you- so she'll Over look it

Ofc like an amazing lover- she takes care of your feedings ensuring your eating properly- even reminding you at times.

"Little bat" lute grumbled seeing the undrinken hotel of donated blood in your fridge cause she REFUSEF to allow it in the normal one. "Come and eat or no damn cuddles.. or kisses"

Hearing youe running, she hummed, smirking. Worked every time.

Of course there will be times she forgets to remind you.

Never on purpose no- she's a busy woman. She tends to over work(alot) but she tries-

For you she tries to take breaks more often which..isn't much but by her standards it is- its her attempt at it

She'll spend hours if not if neither of you are careful. Days training even more if execution day is coming.

Then she forgets to prepare your drinks- aware you hate it. Hate being reminded of what you are. So she does it instead- she knows you can yourself-

But ita her way of saying she loves you through actions

Execution day sucks. It's exhausting- the aftermath is never fun. Lute was in an even more sour mood which. Didn't help.

She didn't get a kiss nor hug. She tried to remember- did she forget something? A date? A anniversary? A holiday?

Shes done those often. Never on purpose. But her work- her training distracted her

Walking into the house, she blinked. It was quiet. Too quiet. To dark. Sighing, she put her mask on the table, going to the one place you went when upset. Your shared bedroom. On the way she prepared an apology- for.. whatever she must have done

"Babe?"

Nothing but completely silence answered her back. Frowning she walked into your shared room seeing you curled in your shared bed. Shaking. Frowning deeply she moved sitting beside you- quiet as she rubbed your arm

She knew what this meant. She knew that tense movement. Experienced it herself. Knows why you starve yourself. Even more from being a redeemed soul.

God, does she hate it. When you get like this.

"How long?" She spoke softly, watching you shakily lift three fingers. Taking a deep sigh, she hummed "weeks?' A nod. Rubbing your arm, she hummed. "Come on. Let's get you some fresh food. Tugging you onto her lap gently. Knowing talking at this moment hurt you. So she took up most of the talking. Making sure what she asked would be easy to answer back for you. Seeing your confused face made her smirk amused.

"Eat."

Tugging her shirt open, brushing her hair to the side, seeing your expression made her chuckle smirking "babe you drank from me before~ you can again, no?" You shook your head

"Will- will hurt-"

"Dove.. don't talk for me ok? Be a good girl and drink. You need to drink- to feed- I'll stop you if need be ok?" That was all you needed as you sunk your fangs into her. And began to drink.

"That's a good girl~" she praised, trying to hide her wince from you

Everytime without fail as she allows you to feed off her. She knows how you get- how rich her angel blood is. She has been warned to be careful

She is. She takes the precaution that even though you have control of yourself. It isn't always the case- sometimes you attempt to get more then what you need- take more

Your addicted to her blood

And she knows it.

And she knows how down right dangerous that is- but she's a good mate. She'll feed you in anyway to ensure your survival.

And if not yours. Then, any poor soul you decide is your next meal. Your her responsibility just as she is yours

he kneeled over your level, his eyes glittering with excitement as he softly smiled and extended his hand gentle enough to to frighten you.

"such a unique creature.. what's your name, dear?" you look up at him, growing more nervous as you mumble your name.

"hm? what'd you say?" he leaned closer, trying to hear you properly as you stammer out your name.

"such a nice name, I'm neuvillette." the man in front of you smiled and extended a hand, cocking his head to the side.

"come with me, I'll keep you safe from this forest." you lift your arm up, hesitating as you placed it on top of his, his eyes sparkling with joy and a new sense of hope.

he gently and slowly carried you on his shoulder, letting you straddle his shoulder as you giggle and look around in admiration.

"woah, pretty!" you exclaim, pointing at almost everything as he just chuckled and explained every purpose they did.

once you both reached the location he placed you down and smiled softly.

"(name), please do my a favor and sit over there, alright?" he pointed his index finger towards his office chair, making you nod and approach the chair.

you sat on it, flinching when it moved slightly to the side, causing you to hold on tight to the arm of the chair before calming down.

when you realized it could spin you know what you did with it? spin and spin and spin!

once neuvillette came back to his office he watched your small presence spin around the chair, giggling and laughing.

it started raining.

you look back and notice neuvillette with a relaxed face but in reality he felt like his heart would explode any second with euphoria.

More Pirate Au sketches (w/ infodumps ab characters)

Technically- since only the Fiesty Five are "pirates," it's more of an ocean au? Sailor au maybe? Anyways

Starting off with Dalv!

-Lives in his lonesome in a small houseboat where he grows seagrapes to eat.

-Somehow, his boat always drifts out of reach from any other ships. (Poor guy)

-He writes short stories and puts them in bottles, before throwing them in the ocean in hopes for other monsters to find them.

-Since I like to think the place the au takes place in is off of the coast of....*gags*....France, his (and everyone else's) attire is based off of French fashion in the 1600s/1700s.

-He wears that silly hat because since he's a vampire, he's more susceptible to sunburns.

Now- Martlet!

-In this au she's modeled after a seabird/parrot because- theming!

-She acts as a messenger for the royal guard between ships since she's one of the few monsters who can fly.

-She carved her prosthetic legs herself! Under the teachings of Chujin ofc.

-She has different models of her talons she can swap out for different purposes (swimming, running, defense, etc.)

(Bonus- a painting I didn't end up liking- but I loved the idea behind it too much to delete)

When she was little and found out why Astarion couldn't go out into the sun, she was noticalbyl trying to stay in the dark with him more.

Tav and Astarion found it sadly adorable until they realized she was terriefied of being in the sun, thinking she'd burn too.

Wasn't until Axel dragged her out on the hottest day of Baldur's Gate did she finally stop the habit Astarion still recounts it infront of his and Tav's buds, makes her blush so bad.

Axel(20+16mins):

Rogue

Somewhat Amaryllis's opposite.

He tries to keep the one braincell they share going

May or may not have the biggest crush on Gale's kid who he sneaks out with alot.

He doesn't need blood ofc, but likes to go hunting alot.

Tail is smaller than most tieflings his age and hates it. People mistake him for an elf all the time and the only thing keeping him sane is the "Technically they aren't wrong" Thanks Ama.

Love-Hate relationship with Astarion, sticks to Tav alot.

Acts like he wants to do things solo but is always dragging Ama with him wherever he goes.

He also may not be as naive as Ama at face value, but lets just say he'd never be a leader with how much shit he pulls.

Pranks the nobles at Baldur's gate alot.

Very much like a hissy cat, just more hissy and more cat

Looks small to others but got that hybrid blood that makes him able to lift a boulder like no big deal

More resistant to fire compared to Ama, so tends to set himself on fire alot with rouge shite

You're so wonderfully devious. Your IF is so well written. I've played through it once several months ago, lost track of it, then found it again 🤗 but seriously, the complex emotions you pull out of me is what makes me keep coming back.

There's no time to not grieve for the MC. And your time jumps make it so no matter how much time has passed for MC, we don't get that relief. It makes me wonder if the MC feels that way all the time for the last 9 years if the grief we experience is just as intense. So I absolutely adore how you give MCs the ability to name a journal Alistair and to have a tattoo to keep them with you.

I don't know what to do with Rosea. I think the only way to hurt Luceris is by hurting the ones they love, Lancelot and Helios. But then this cycle of revenge continues and warps, and it's this massive spiders web because when you hurt Lancelot and Helios, then you hurt Farah, Vincent, and Hunter. It makes even more people want to put a stop to MC's machinations.

I know we're going to see it in writing, but the generational guilt on these kids [cause fuck they are basically still kids] heads is crushing.

The adults trying to alleviate guilt by saying "Mc is protected as consort" and has the "freedom to do what they want" is a poor consolation prize. They can't get rid of how they were complicit in MCs trauma.

Somehow, you have me litterally insane, tinfoil hat and all, do you play a kind MC so everyone can see how unhinged Luceris idea was? Because I'd love to play this game as quiet and kind MC, one who's forgive and try to move on, but when MCs twin died, I became just as crazy as Luceris. Now I have to be okay with the fact that I'm playing the long game of revenge and whatever that looks like.

Anyway, thank you for your work. It's amazing and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Honestly, the time jumps do serve that purpose. Mainly because I think MC gets a little better each time jump but then something happens and it brings back what they felt that night in Vesphire.

For example, the time jump to meeting Fadiya is kind of supposed to be like "well at least someone wants to be friends with our baby" and that feeling is kind of hopeful, at least to me. With the 1st short story, I wanted to cement that feeling since it's like "world against MC but this little kid is here!!" and again it's hopeful. Chapter 2 is softer too with Fadiya, there isn't much angst until the very end where it's like "ah right, shit still sucks." and a part of the healing that the player might have felt just dies lol.

Chapter 3 is kind of different but technically MC is doing "better" or well coping better so there has been some progress on their part albeit it can be unhealthy.

I've gotten the "Oh this is kinda rushed" comment a few times but I don't think I could've taken these first few chapters more slowly since it is supposed to be kind of like a blur to MC. In my head, chapter 3 is when things are more slow for them but now they're leaving on a trip so...

I think revenge (that isn't like "get power throw him into jail") will always come with the loss of people. The only reason Luceris didn't lose people is because he didn't really have anyone to lose except for Lancelot and we all know how that's going. (Ikram doesn't count, if she refused he could just get another military general and been like okay. Don't be friends with your boss people. /j)

A Luceris that had Farah wouldn't have done that ever because she would have left him so yeah! It's normal to be stuck between what to do when you have people you care about who actually have somewhat of a normal moral compass.

Easiest way is to simply not have anyone (unless they're 100% in love with you and would throw away all their morals just for you ofc) and well maybe I can help with that! 🤭

The adults are insane and the kids are burdened with the problems that their parents are to blame for. I love the whole "burdened by the sins of your parents" trope. ✨️

Ramattra x Reader (gen)

Word count: 1544

What Ramattra did in his spare time you never knew. Sure, he would read or work on something in the workshop, but what does the omnic do to wind down? Surely meditating was all he did? How does one meditate for so long without getting bored?

He’s an omnic. A war machine built to kill. An R-7000 who had never experienced joy. He has never experienced comfort… Warmth… Love. Ramattra has never felt… content.

His stress level were alarmingly high, and the humming of his worn out chassis rattled every time he moved. He was in need of repair and you were the only one capable of helping him. The only one capable of repairing him. His joints were getting stiff and while he hadn’t been in the world for that long, he had never taken care of himself. He never found a need. There was no other purpose for Ramattra to take care of himself and by the time he had met you, he was already too far gone.

He approached you one day, albeit against his own thought systems, and he asked for you to help him. He asked for you to repair him and that was exactly what you did.

Keeping him online, you listened to him talk about his past, what he remembered from back then, his pain and directives. You made sure to clean the crevices, fix the broken parts of him, repair what was damaged, rewire what wires had been frayed and became useless.

You had never felt closer with the omnic, and while you considered him a good friend, you were sure he saw you as just a other human. So when Ramattra admitted that he enjoyed spending his time with you, that he enjoyed your presence, a warm feeling flooded throughout your body.

It took nearly a day to get Ramattra fixed, but the moment he could stand, he sighs.

“Thank you.” He says, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Though… My joints are still stiff.”

“They will be. They’re new parts so they need to loosen up a little.” You smile gently at him as you begin to clean up.

“New?” He seems shocked by the fact that they are ‘new’.

You let out an airy laugh. “Well, technically yes, they’re new, but they’ve been sat in the box for years. It’s hard to come across your models replacement parts.”

“I was not made to be replaced.” Ramattra looks off to the distance.

“I know, so I did what I could to get some parts in just in case.” You place a hand onto his jawline, feeling the metal against your palm. It wasn’t cold, but it wasn’t hot either. It was warm.

Ramattra stares at you but as he goes to move his hand to replicate yours, wanting to touch your face, his fingers don’t open as easily as they did previously. You look down at his hand before an idea pops into your head.

“Come with me.” You don’t give him a choice as you practically drag him upstairs and into your personal home. “Take a seat, I’ll be back in just a moment.”

Ramattra stands in the living room for a moment before taking a seat, his knees uncomfortably high on the low sofa. He hears you moving and complaining from a different room. Something drops, a quiet expletive follows after. All the while, he’s looking around the living room. A tidy place, one that is kept clean. There isn’t much here, but he figures it’s because you are always busy.

A few minutes later you return holding a box in your arms.

“That looks heavy.” Ramattra looks between you and the box.

“I can assure you that I have carried heavier.” You smile, placing the box down on the floor before sitting next to it. “Let’s see…”

“What are you doing?” Ramattra stands and kneels beside you, watching you open the cardboard box. Inside of it was a bunch of wires, consoles and controllers. “What is all of this?”

“This…” You start, pulling out a series of cables and a console. “This is a Nintendo system, a Wii specifically.”

“A what?”

You laugh at his reaction. “A Wii. It’s a motion console. God, I haven’t set this up in years.”

Ramattra picks up the console and examines it. “How old is this?”

“I don’t know precisely, but they were released back in 2006.” You push the box aside after retrieving two controllers and the sensor.

“That was-”

“Yeah… This was my fathers.” You smile as you work on connecting it to the TV.

“How is this going to help me?” Ramattra cocks his head to the side.

“You have to move to play.” Looking back at him, you notice that he had picked up one of the remotes. “There are more advanced systems out there now, but this is a great starting point.”

Ramattra hums as he watches the TV light up.

“By moving, it will loosen those joints.” You smile at the omnic. “Come on, stand up.” Offering a hand to him, your smile grows a little more when he accepts it.

“What exactly are we playing?” His optics watch the screen as he watches the little cursor move across it. He looks back at your arm, watching it move in the direction of the cursor.

“Wii Sports. An all time fan favourite.” You laugh, looking at him hold his controller. You explain to him how to turn it on before your fingers are touching his wrist, putting on the safety strap. “This is so you don’t break anything.”

“Have you broken a TV before?” Ramattra asks, a warmth passing through his circuitry at your motions.

“Never, surprisingly. I’m not as much as a clutz as you think I am.”

Ramattra chuckles before turning his attention back to the screen.

“Just follow the instructions- oh my, I didn’t think the save data would still be here.” You smile as you look at your character.

“Is that supposed to be you?” The omnic asks.

“Yes.”

“It does not look like you.”

“It used to look like me. It has been many years since I pulled this out.” The character was childhood you. A small, derpy looking character you thought was cute.

Ramattra doesn’t seem convinced but he leaves it at that.

“What game mode do you want to play first?” You ask while looking up at him.

The omnic notices the mischieves glint in your eyes and scoffs. “Do not think you will beat me just because I have never played this.”

You laugh at his response. “Omnics learn quickly, I’m sure I can win a few games before you truly do beat my ass.”

Ramattra laughs alongside you before he grabs your arm, making you move the cursor over the games. He stops on baseball and hums in confirmation.

You nod before clicking the game, watching as Ramattra selects his temporary profile and his hand.

One game turned into two, then to three.

Then it turned into the whole evening. With each game, you won the first two, at a push three, but then after that, Ramattra started getting good. Too good. Of course, he let you win a few games in between, blaming it on his joints when in fact they were loosening up quickly from all the movement.

Ramattra, for once, was having fun. Hearing you laugh and joke as he spent time with you made him feel warm. His systems were calm, but there were times when you had accidentally brushed his arm and his systems flared up like he was blushing.

Hours of fun had gone by, neither of you getting bored of playing the same games on repeat, but it was getting late and now it was your turn to feel achy.

“Are you okay?” Ramattra asks, watching you slump back on the sofa behind.

“Yeah, just worn out.” You smile, leaning forward and taking the remote off of your wrist.

“It is late.” Ramattra states, fiddling around with his remote strap.

“Here.” You stand up and help him take it off. “How are your joints?”

It takes a moment for Ramattra to speak. The feeling of your hand on his nearly made him short circuit. “Loose. Thank you.”

“I’m glad.”

“Though my fingers still need some loosening.” He admits.

You stare at him for a moment, cheeks instantly burning up.

“What is it?” Ramattra notices your sudden flustered state.

“N-Nothing!”

“Oh?” The omnic takes a step forward towards you and towers over you. “I do still owe you for fixing me…” His hand touches your cheek, finger joins still stiff.

“I-”

“Perhaps there is a way we can both settle this.” His tone changes, low and sultry.

He backs you up against the wall, trapping you in with arms either side of you.

“Ram-” Your voice was barely a whisper, light and breathy. Ramattra chuckles at the reaction.
