#Felix is the smartest character

Y’all I missed this detail for so long: the split-second Félix realizes who’s in front of him, he throws his bag back into the bathroom!
I guess it’s not really anything major, but it’s kinda cool and funny to me that was able to think “Quick! Must hide the evidence!” and act on it so fast and make it barely noticeable. Cool character moment!

For the character opinion bingo can yuo do felix..
Tumblr media
This fucking guy. I have such a torrid relationship with this character. I've spent a lot of time joking about actively hating him, just because (especially back in 2021, when I first got into The Walten Files) there was such a gross oversaturation of these terrible, bland, thoughtless interpretations of the character. Like so many people saw this really interesting sort of character, and watered him down into something that was more personally palatable and sympathetic for them.
I don't know. Felix is so uninteresting when you don't hold him accountable for anything. I remember a lot of people trying to pin the responsibility for his actions onto the other people in his life, chiefly Jack, because they sympathized with his personal struggles and wanted to woobify him into a character who had never really done anything wrong. Which is such a shame, because that sort of wishy-washy attitude a lot of the fandom had taken towards his actions really soured me on him for a while. And that's not fair, because he's a genuinely fantastic and really interesting character.
I've always loved Felix when it comes to canon depictions of him, y'know? Because it's so free of that kind of Fandom Baggage. Even the good fandom Felix content has to bear the burden of that baggage a lot of the time, and it's worsened for it. But it's like, man, I always forget how fucking fascinating Felix is until we get some Fun New Canon, or someone in the fandom writes or draws something really good, and then it all comes back to me. I'm dying to see more of this character. I really want to get further into his head. I want to see exactly the depths of depravity he's willing to go to save his own skin, and I want to see how he justifies it to himself all the while.
I think a lot about his Formerly Positive relationships with other characters, too, because I think even before things went bad, Felix was always pretty self-centered. Very upbeat and overfriendly to the point where it seems, very obviously, like he's compensating for something. I think he cares a lot about what people think of him, but doesn't necessarily value other peoples' opinions. I think he very genuinely thinks of himself as the smartest person in the room, but is chronically resentful of everybody else in his life for outsmarting him. I really love the idea of everything with him being this sort of paradox. He's so self-deprecating, thinks so little of himself, but would move hell and high water to avoid actually changing and improving anything about his life. He's always so sorry, when he does something wrong and it blows up in his face, but the last thing he'd ever be willing to do is try and do better next time. He treats every tragedy that befalls him as some terrible innevitability he's subjected to, instead of the natural consequences of his own, controllable behavior.
I've already said I think Jack was a bit of an emotional anchor for him, in a way where Jack was this sort of representation of a Successful, Fulfilled man, so Felix really craved validation from him. He would always try, with varying degrees of success, to be on Jack's good side, because having Jack tell him he had done a good job made him feel that much closer to being the Pinnacle of Success he imagined Jack to be. And in this way, Jack was sort of dehumanized by Felix from the very beginning. Jack, in many ways, stopped being Felix's friend, an important person in his life, and started being this idyllic representation of a Good Man that Felix both resented and desperately clung to.
I think about this idea a lot when rewatching Guilty and hearing Felix try and justify his actions to himself through the lens of how Jack would feel. He had to bury Edd & Molly, because Jack would be devastated to see them like that. He could never do that to Jack, his best friend. Jack would be devastated. That's why it has to be a secret, why Jack can never know. He's doing good, he's protecting Jack's feelings. It's such a fundamental disconnect from the reality of the situation, and it feels to me a lot like he's projecting this imagined idea of Jack Walten onto the circumstances to soothe himself, and in the process is denying the real Jack Walten his autonomy in the situation. Jack doesn't get to be told what happened and decide for himself how to feel, Felix gets to decide how Jack would probably feel, and act on that instead.
Imagine for a moment, this same situation, but involving something much less terrible and serious. Maybe Jack has a nice vase in his house that he likes and is important to him. Maybe one day, Felix comes over and, when Jack is in the other room, accidentally knocks it on the floor, and it shatters. Felix, imagining how upset Jack would be to know his favorite vase was broken, sweeps it discreetly into the garbage, and plays stupid when Jack asks about it later. Now, Jack: 1. Never gets the closure of knowing that happened to this thing that he valued so dearly. He never knows if it was stolen or misplaced and is in one piece somewhere out in the world, or if it really was broken, and he should give up trying to recover it. 2. Never gets to decide what should happen in the aftermath of this vase being broken. Maybe he, too, was just going to sweep it into the garbage. But maybe, beforehand, he would take the opportunity to mourn this broken thing before it was out of his life forever. Or maybe he'd try to glue the shards back together. The point is not what he does, but the fact that he was never given the chance to decide what he would do.
I'm worried that last paragraph might come off as pretty patronizing. The point I'm trying to make is just that I don't think Felix really considers Jack as an autonomous person, and that's a really interesting part of their dynamic to me that I think is relatively really underutilized.
Apparently I have a lot to say about Felix Kranken. There's a lot more I could say, but this post is so fucking long already, holy shit.

Felix Hugo Fraldarius is the Smartest Idiot in Fire Emblem
(Minor Spoilers for Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes)
In his supports, Felix has been shown to be a genius strategist when it comes to battle tactics. However, what I don’t see enough content about in this fandom is just how perceptive and insightful this guy canonically is. But what makes his observation skills so funny is how they don’t make any sense.
So in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, when Flayn gets kidnapped and Byleth has to investigate possible suspects, he was pretty much the only character to be suspicious of Jeritza. His proof? How he holds his sword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As if that wasn’t enough, in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, in his support with Shez, he pretty much figures out about how Arval is squatting in their head rent free. His evidence? The way Shez fights.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just love how Felix has no idea how to talk with people, but he’s so unreasonably intuitive. Except his logic is always just vibe checks. And exclusively during combat.
Felix Hugo Fraldarius is a rational, intelligent, and wise person. But he’s also so unintentionally hilarious.

IOTA Reviews: Migration
Tumblr media
You know, for a while, I thought Luka was one of the smartest characters in the show, and the fact that he's hightailing it out of Paris in this episode only continues to prove my point.
Let's get into the thirteenth episode of Miraculous Ladybug's fifth season: Migration
We start off with Marinette running over to the Liberty (with her friends laughing behind her back like the supportive people they are) and tries to talk with Luka about her relationship with Adrien once they're in private. Luka is pretty supportive, and it's a nice scene. Marinette then bumps into Adrien, who also wants to talk with Luka, and while the two try to get unstuck, we get a nice visual of Luka seeing the two as Ladybug and Cat Noir, which is there to remind the audience that he's known who both of them are ever since “Wishmaker”.
Adrien then talks to Luka about how he's worried something is keeping Marinette from being honest about her feelings. Luka gives him some advice on how just because he doesn't know everything about Marinette, it doesn't make her feelings for him less valid, and vice versa.
After Adrien leaves, we get an appearance from everyone's favorite deadbeat dad, Jagged Stone. He asks Luka how he can be a better father like he didn't miss years of child support, but all Luka really says is that he needs to spend time with his damn family. Of course, what I like about this scene is that it avoids the usual narrative pitfall of trying to say that Jagged and Anarka, Luka's mom, should get back together, and instead shows Jagged developing feelings for his agent, Penny.
Speaking of, after Jagged leaves, Penny comes in to come to Luka for advice. Okay, is Luka just the Dr. Phil of this show's universe? Penny talks to Luka about her sudden feelings for Jagged Stone.
Penny: No, I don't know why I'm in love with your father. He's disorganized, childish, selfish, and musically speaking, he's no David Bowie. Truth be told, your dad's a walking disaster. So why do I love him?
Luka: Does he make you happy, Penny?
Penny: Yeah. I just can't figure out why!
It's almost like this show will randomly pair people up at the drop of a hat. But hey, at least Luka hasn't asked if Kagami is single yet.
Before Penny leaves, Bob Roth, Jagged's producer, demands to know where he is, as he needs to record a new album. Bob learns that Jagged had children with Anarka (ignoring the potential scandal it could create), so Anarka promptly throws him out of the boat in a scene that I'm pretty sure is meant to be a reference to that one running gag from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
youtube
Either way, Jazz's scream was funnier.
Kitty Section then practices their latest song about how you don't have to be rich, because even the songs in this show aren't exactly subtle with their messages. Bob somehow gets back on the Liberty completely dry, and offers the band a contract.
Bob: How would you like to sign a contract with me?
Luka: Actually, Bob, you already offered to sign us... Marinette: And you never followed up. Did you forget?
Bob: Huh? Uh... of course! I remember! I was just waiting for the right reason—uh, I mean, the right time! I was waiting for the right time to have you guys sign the contract!
My God, even the characters in this show want to forget it used to have good episodes.
Anarka throws Bob off again, where she and Luka talk about how everyone deserves a second chance and that change is possible.
youtube
Yeah, funny how that message almost never came up with Chloe, Lila, and Felix last season, isn't it? And given that they're going to use Bob as an example of this lesson, I don't think it's going to be a positive one. So right after Luka generously decided to give Bob a second chance, Bob offers them a new contract to sign... and as soon as he does, he screws them all over thanks to a lot of fine print they didn't stop to read.
Ivan: He can fire us whenever he wants?
Bob: Yep, and I just did, by the way.
Rose: The name Kitty Section belongs to him?!
Bob: Yep. It’s ugly, but it’s mine. Marinette: He owns everything you’ve made and will make over the next thousand years!? Bob: Gotta cover all bases.
Zoe: Marinette's costumes, the music video Nino shot, the website Mylene runs...
Bob: All mine!
Adrien: And you can’t even start another band together?
Bob: Course not, that’d be unfair competition! EVERYTHING belongs to me! Everything you are, everything you say, everything that’s in your hearts belongs to me!
See, kids? This is why you should never trust bad people. It doesn't matter if they say they want to improve. They just want to trick you and ruin your life, so if you're ever wronged by anyone, that person is never able to redeem themselves, especially if they're rich. As we all know, rich people are far worse than insane supervillains who want to rewrite reality. Just ask the biggest monster in the show, Chloe Bourgeois.
So yeah, Luka's optimism being taken advantage of is enough to attract the attention of Monarch, who attempts to akumatize him into Silencer again. Monarch realizes that Luka knows Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities (why he didn't think to look into it, given Viperion's powers, is left unanswered), and angrily smashes his guitar to free himself of Monarch's influence.
Tumblr media
So not only did he stop himself from getting akumatized, he's also one step closer to becoming a true rock star.
Somehow, Bob thinks only keeping Luka on board would mean he wouldn't hate him, but Luka isn't buying it. Bob is shocked that Luka wouldn't want to work for an asshole like him as Luka tears the contract in half, but Bob has backups. Monarch decides to settle on Bob instead, akumatizing him into Gold Record.
Tumblr media
Gold Record's design is... okay. It's still better than Sole Destroyer, and it's definitely better than Moolak. The gold coloring looks nice, and the euro symbol on the record is a nice visual. His powers are pretty much just a combination of Pixelator, the Collector, and Truth's powers, transforming people into records who sing their true feelings while using the Horse Miraculous' Voyage to throw the records into space. Nothing too original there, but it's a good metaphor for sleazy music producers, and it works for this story.
Rose and Anarka are the first of Gold Record's victims, and in a hurry, Luka lets Adrien know he knows he's Cat Noir, giving him a place to hide. Just as Juleka is hit by Gold Record, Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive on the scene. While Cat Noir holds off Gold Record, Ladybug tries to come up with a plan.
Ladybug summons her Lucky Charm, getting a knitting needle. She realizes her plan will need to involve using Luka as bait. Luka is forced to reveal that he knows who Ladybug and Cat Noir are, and what will happen if Gold Record gets him, setting up a tough choice that will force Ladybug to rethink her plan... and then the next scene happens, where Luka lets himself get hit, where Ladybug manages send Gold Record's record flying with a makeshift bow and arrow created from the knitting needle and a nearby fiddle, which Cat Noir immediately Cataclysms.
Ladybug de-evilizes the Akuma, uses Miraculous Ladybug to fix the damage, and gives Bob Roth a Magical Charm that even he knows is useless at this point. Ladybug and Cat Noir decide to call it a day and let Anarka throw Bob Roth out again.
Luka reveals that he knows Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities (because once again, sharing that information with your friends is totally fine for some reason), and that he can't stay in Paris. After revealing that he had Fang eat all of Bob's contracts so Luka isn't bound by them anymore, Jagged offers to take Luka around the world to finally make up for years of absence while Luka makes Juleka the new leader of Kitty Section. And so the episode ends with the Couffaine family sharing a hug while Luka gives one last look to his friends Marinette and Adrien.
This episode was just average, all things considered. The plot and the lesson it was setting out to teach, while not terrible, felt a little tacked on. It was if the writers were trying to acknowledge the stuff that happened with Chloe and wanted to show an example of redemption arc done right in the case of Jagged. It falls flat because once again, more focus is given to showing how easy it is to be screwed over trusting someone than showing the benefits to trusting someone, especially since Bob is already an outlandish villain we already have a lot of reasons to hate.
I'm also mixed on the handling of Luka here. While I'm glad Marinette isn't being forced to learn a lesson here, I don't get why Luka had to be the one to be taken advantage of. He's already aware of how easy it is for Monarch to learn his secrets, so it feels weird that he lets himself and his friends get taken advantage of so easily. Outside of the scene with Ladybug's Lucky Charm, I don't get why he needed to tell the others the stuff he knew. I can sort of see why he'd tell Adrien, but why would he think telling his friends he knows who Ladybug and Cat Noir are wouldn't endanger them too?
Speaking of that, despite being established for almost an entire season, we really don't see enough of Marinette and Adrien reacting to Luka revealing that he knows who they are. Marinette only gets a few lines, and Adrien doesn't even get to say anything. While I am glad that Marinette and Adrien aren't dominating the plot for once, it feels weird that we don't get to see their reactions to something so shocking, especially with how often the identity rule has been enforced.
On the other hand, the writing is still handled a lot better than usual. I like how Monarch chooses to change his strategy to focus on Luka halfway through the episode, and the idea of the risk using Luka for Ladybug's plan brings is an interesting one, even if they don't really go anywhere with it. The running gag with Bob constantly getting thrown off the Liberty is a funny one, and it proves you can actually write slapstick that doesn't involve humiliating Marinette. Who knew?
As a whole, while I think this is the best episode of the season so far, this episode still has its fair share of problems.
THE BIGGEST IDIOT OF THE EPISODE IS... LUKA
Tumblr media
Not counting the time Marinette got the award in my review of the Shanghai Special, we have the first character this season to get the Biggest Idiot Award twice. For someone who is usually smarter than the other characters, Luka made quite a few bad choices this episode. He decided to trust Bob Roth after he screwed him and his friends over in “Silencer”, he didn't think to read the contract he was offered, and after being endangered by what Monarch knows now, he decided to tell his friends and family that he knows who Ladybug and Cat Noir are, potentially putting them all in danger too. Yeah, the next few episodes will probably just ignore it, but there's always a chance Monarch could try another Optigami, even if he doesn't have the Peacock Miraculous anymore.
And with that, I'm officially done with the first half of Season 5. What do I think of it? Well, I think Immortan Joe said it best:
youtube
Yeah, this season was pretty boring, all things considered. To be perfectly honest, I struggled here more than I did last season because I wasn't sure what to say about half of the episodes I watched. There was almost nothing of substance these past thirteen episodes, and I could barely say anything other than “this episode is okay” or “this episode is bad”. Whenever I had ideas, they were usually extensions to things I've already talked about, like the Marinette angst, the historical and cultural inaccuracies, and the villains genuinely being incompetent. If you showed someone a few episodes of Season 1 and this season, outside of Monarch's new appearance, it'd be pretty hard for them to tell the difference.
But hey, maybe things will pick up in the second half of the season. Hell, maybe the next episode will be even better than this one, and... huh. Does anyone else hear an ominous whistling in the background?

My thoughts on Felix - anti hero gone wrong
Introduction - SEASON 5 SPOILERS AHEAD
Felix Fathom - the show's anti hero. Easily one of the smartest characters of the show and has gained quite a large fanbase. However , his Character took a drastic turn in Season 5 , with the transition from anti-hero to a hero. He joins the team in the season 5 finale - which has raised a few eyebrows. This post will explain my thoughts on Felix and why I dislike how his character has been written this season . Don’t get me wrong , I don’t hate Felix but it annoys me how he does awful things and doesn’t face any consequences. This is not a hate post on Felix but simply me sharing my opinion on him.
His Character explained up until Emotion
Felix seemingly had a rough childhood. Due to Amelie being infertile , Colt created Felix from the peacock miraculous , which caused him to be a senti.
Tumblr media
Due to Colt using the broken miraculous , he got sick and seemingly blamed , abused and controlled Felix.
Tumblr media
When Felix was 13 , due to frustration , Colt punched the wall , breaking the ring which is where Felix’s amok is. This nearly killed Felix and made him realize his life was tied to his father’s ring. Soon his father died and he took his ring , securing his freedom. However he was forever paranoid of the idea of disappearing and when he found out about the peacock miraculous, he made it his goal to steal it from his uncle to ensure his survival. We see him first in the episode Felix , where he steals Gabriel's ring. We see him come back in Gabriel Agreste , finding out his uncle is a Shadow Moth , confirming his suspicions that he had the peacock miraculous.
Tumblr media
The trauma from his interaction with Gabriel , thinking he was about to be snapped out of existence, triggers him to complete his mission. In the Season 4 finale , he steals most of the miraculous and trades all of them and Gabriel's ring for the peacock miraculous.
Tumblr media
The rings from my understanding were a safety net in case anything went wrong. He knew Gabriel would never trade the peacock miraculous for his wife's ring because of how powerful the miraculous was so he stole most of the miraculouses because he knew about Gabriels plan. He laid low for a few months then in the episode Emotion , he committed mass genocide by snapping every human to the red moon and leaving only the senti-trio and Marinette on Earth.
Tumblr media
His motive - freeing his cousin and Kagami ( who he recently found out was a senti) from their parents. He however realized he lost control and brought everyone back. Felix is an anti-hero in the sense that he had good intentions but goes about it in the wrong way. He had a good reason to trade the jewelry for the peacock in order to be free , to never be under the mercy of the peacock miraculous holder , who can snap him out of existence anytime. However he achieved his goal in an unethical way , by betraying ladybug and stealing the miraculous. This also applies in Emotion , he felt empathy for Kagami and felt bad about Adrien because he was in the same situation as them which is not being able to be in control of themselves. He wanted to help them experience the same freedom he has so he snapped Gabriel and Tomoe to the red moon.  However he went way too far by snapping away literally everyone committing genocide. He had a sympathetic motive - helping Adrien and Kagami but how he conducted his methods in a questionable way portrays him as a morally gray character.
Tumblr media
This is what makes his Character compelling . You sympathize with his character and understand why he does the things he does but at the same time disagree with his methods and resent him for helping the main villain.
Why Feligami doesn’t work
Tumblr media
Pretension is the episode where Felix’s character went wrong for me. This is mainly because of Feligami (sorry Feligami stans😔😔). He seemingly falls in love with Kagami after one episode and from my understanding - stalks and kidnaps her from her mom . Now Tomoe is awful but there really was no need to kidnap her - she was only shouting at her - not beating her up. He kidnapped Kagami not because she was in any danger but wanted to confess his love towards her and make her fall in love with him . Kagami was not having any of it however when he seemingly saves her and tells her about his tragic backstory , she instantly gains feelings.
Tumblr media
The problem with this is that Kagami barely knows Felix . From her POV , he could easily be lying in order to gain sympathy from her. They got together during one episode which caused the ship to feel rushed. Another reason why this ship doesn't work is how they fell in love. Sure Kagami saw Felix differently after Felix saved her from Tomoe and gave her the ring but you don’t fall in love after three interactions.
Tumblr media
Kagami chooses to be with Felix because he looks exactly like Adrien which causes the ship to be unhealthy because she still has unresolved feelings for her ex. She doesn’t love Felix for who he is , she loves him because he looks like Adrien. If she started dating Felix after knowing him for a few weeks/months then it would’ve made more sense that she fell in love with Felix because of his personality , not his appearance.
Tumblr media
Felix only like Kagami because she was a senti , he barely cared for up until Emotion. He only spent a couple of hours with her before snapping everyone away and then decided he loved her.  If Kagami wasn’t a senti , he wouldn’t have taken interest in her and snapped her away without caring. The last reason why I dislike Feligami is that it feels forced . The sole reason why the writers gave Felix a love interest is to make him look more redeemable. Kagami is one of the show's more loved characters ( from season 4 at least) and making her and Felix get together was for the purpose of making Felix more likable. To conclude , Feligami is a cute idea but the execution of their storyline was done badly. They fall in love despite barely knowing each other and Kagami forgives Felix way too easily after knowing his story. If you like Feligami though , that's perfectly fine.
Representation mess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This episode made me lose most of my respect for Felix as a character (I can hear the Felix stans typing 😂😂). The first reason why this episode wasn’t well written is how Felix approached Ladybug. When performing his cringy play (which turned out to be pointless) he asked for Ladybug help without uttering a single apology for everything you’ve done to her. He SA’ed Ladybug and gave her trauma by stealing the miraculous but still had the audacity to request assistance without saying sorry. Isn’t he ashamed of himself or feel any guilt ?
Tumblr media
He also sought Ladybug's aid not because he wanted to free Adrien from Gabriel , not because he felt bad about what he did in Strike Back and wanted to seek forgiveness by teaming up with Ladybug to help her defeat Monarch but because he wanted to love his girlfriend freely. He only helped Marinette , gave her the information she needed because it benefited him . This isn’t a bad storyline for an anti-hero. An anti-hero only works for himself but the reason why this storyline failed is because the narrative pushed Felix to be some sort of hero. His moments with Kagami make him look like a good guy and the backstory made Felix sympathetic.
Tumblr media
The moment  where Felix explains why he stole the miraculous felt more of a justification portraying Felix as someone who is innocent and hasn’t done anything wrong. He is sympathetic and tragic but isn't exactly a good person either so the part where he justifies what he did and the narrative portraying him as a hero felt like bad writing.
Tumblr media
Another thing that bothers me is the inconsistency of Felix creating a sentimonster which is a projector. He said in Pretension he refused to create another senti just for him to abuse them , control them and snap them out of existence when he’s done with them.
Tumblr media
However , after Mari wakes up , she sees a feather which we could assume means Felix has snapped it out of existence when he was done with it. The annoying thing is that this could’ve been avoided if Felix wasn’t a coward and went up to Ladybug , APOLOGIZE for what he did , says he wants to help her defeat Monarch and tell him everything he knows. Man up Felix ! The least he could’ve done was give the senti its freedom instead of killing it. However in defense of Felix , he did tell Ladybug about Adrien being a senti which redeemed him somewhat , but the info on Monarch's identity was pointless and the information Felix revealed was barely used in the finale until the Adrienette kiss scene.  Overall this Episode made me lose most of my respect for Felix's character because the writers try so hard to portray Felix as a hero or a good guy when clearly he still is the same as before. He still has villain like tendencies that are never addressed and this episode really swept all of his bad deeds under the rug.
Why his redemption doesn’t make sense
Tumblr media
During the epilogue of the finale - he seemingly is chilling at the Agreste mansion and spends time with Kagami - eyeing her cutely. However the most insulting thing about the finale is when Felix seemingly joins the team confirming a redemption arc (pls don't kill me Felix stans🙏🙏). He is pretty much forgiven for his crimes and faces no real consequences. Well to be fair , he did face a small consequence for mass genocide , he lost control of his power and realized he is no better than Monarch. This is shown when  he cries after snapping the red moon out of existence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However that was the only consequence he faced out of many crimes he committed and he never redeemed himself to Ladybug for killing everyone. Instead he got rewarded with a girlfriend and ownership of his Miraculous despite his identity being known. The reason why his redemption makes no sense is that he never apologized to Ladybug or proved himself that he is a good person. Sure he had good motives and felt remorse a few times but he never said sorry to Ladybug or felt any guilt about helping Gabriel. His abuse under Colt explains his actions but does not excuse them so him seemingly being forgiven by everyone  without proving himself just felt wrong. The season 5 finale was a missed opportunity to redeem Felix the right way with him saving Adrien and Kagami from their prisons or him fighting alongside Ladybug against Monarch. Instead he was absent and only showed up in the epilogue. Another problem is that his redemption was rushed , only a few weeks ago he committed mass genocide but now he’s besties with Ladybug and already part of the team , the same team he ruined by stealing all the miraculouses. Did she also forget he forced himself on her ? Felix can do whatever he wants without ever being held accountable or face any punishment. I’m not against a Felix redemption arc if it’s written correctly. His character would’ve been better if he continued to be an anti-hero and is redeemed in later seasons.   Therefore , his redemption felt ruined because he basically got away with most of his crimes and was forgiven easily without ever apologizing or feeling much regret. He basically faced no consequences for SA, assisted terrorism , mass genocide , stalking , kidnapping and instead got rewarded .
Final thoughts
To conclude ,  Felix started off as a great character with layers and complexity but unfortunately got ruined as the story progressed. I don’t hate Felix , his character is fascinating because of his character status as morally gray but like most characters in this show , was a victim of bad writing. His redemption felt disappointing and his relationship with Kagami felt unnatural. I understand his motives (he was doing it for his own survival) but they way he conducted his methods was immoral. He got away with most of his crimes and faced no punishment. Hot take but Felix is one of those characters who’s better off as an anti-hero. He still has so much villain potential which shouldn't go to waste. However I will end this post on a positive note and say not all hope is lost and Felix’s character can be saved in season 6. Going forward , I hope Ladybug and Cat Noir (especially Cat Noir)  still are a bit suspicious of Argos and don’t fully trust him despite letting him into the team.  Another Unpopular Opinion is that I want Felix to turn on the hero team in future seasons and work with the villains. It’s logical because he never was held accountable or faced real consequences so what is stopping him from betraying the team again ? His character has so much potential and he is unique solely because he is an anti-hero. I hope in Season 6 , his character improves. However these are just my opinions , if you love Felix and agree with how the writers are handling his character , that is perfectly fine .  Please stay respectful 😊😊😊 .

You played the golden deer route!! (I think?) What's been your thoughts so far just like in general but also in comparison to blue lions? Claude and the golden deer are just so fun!!
I have not finished yet! Yes I am like 5/6ths done with the Golden Deer fic. I did something that I really shouldn't do, which is like consume 1/4th of the media and go "okay I could make a fanfic out of this" and then write a long-ass fic just based off initial impressions (this is how Theater of the Absurd happened - if you're wondering why everybody was so drastically out of character, that's why). I'm still only mostly done with the Academy phase, so no spoilers!
Thoughts so far? Claude is so funny. I am genuinely so, so fascinated by him. He's one of those characters who clearly has an entire existence and situation and insanity and you're just barely privy to the surface of it. Our C support is me walking into his room (why did I do that?) as he concocts poisons. He's a mad scientist. He wants to dissect his friends like they're insects. He's incredibly self-absorbed. He's convinced he's the smartest person in the room. He's on his gap year and he's taking a vacation with the white people and the country he leads is not his biggest priority. He wakes up in the morning, looks at himself in the mirror, and says "I'm a SCHEMER I'm a TRICKSTER I'm IMPENETRABLE I'm NOT LONELY". He has a biracial narrative and it's left him with a superiority complex because the alternative is to always be inferior. He'd be a better leader if he cared more.
I love Hilda also. She's so cunning but so kind, and her competence is underlined by her severe self-esteem issues. I haven't really connected with most of the Golden Deer - their ensemble narrative is not NEARLY as strong as the Blue Lions or Ashen Wolves. They aren't all part of the same story, I feel like. I'm still working on their supports (which are mostly C and some B right now...I kinda substituted most of them on the battlefield for the AW...sorry I have faves). Most of them are either a little annoying or uninteresting...Lysithea baby girl...Lorenz is actually deeply Felix coded in that he's kinda the sanest. He cares about all of the actually important things that nobody else cares about when they really should, and a lot of unimportant things,
I didn't expect this to happen, but Claude as your BFF actually deeply underscores how 1) Dimitri is insanely in love with you, and 2) Dimitri's bugfuck. Claude's so normal about everything. Makes me go "Wow Dimitri was normal about fucking nothing".
I'm looking forward to the War Phase and seeing how things change. These kids are fucking disasters in their lives and to each other, which mirrors their disaster country. Right now Claude's the most fascinating aspect to me. I'm not plugged into the fandom, but from what I can see his complexity and depth is kind of slept on - he has a comic relief role in dynamics, but I can already tell it's pretty constructed. Writing him as a jokester is like writing Dimitri as a preppy, perfect, adorably awkward nerd. Yes, that is a major part of how they present themselves to the public. I can't entirely call it a lie. But if you think that those performances are genuine, then you're buying what they're selling. Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard are liars, and if you stay surface level in your depiction you're scrubbing out what makes them good characters. Also, especially in Dima's case, The Point

i had to reread Animal Farm this month for book group. it’s been almost ... fourteen years? since I first read it. coincidentally I also relatively recently read the first volume of Animal Castle by Xavier Dorison, back in November, which is a direct response to Animal Farm. returning to Farm as an adult and with that in the back of my mind made for a really, really interesting contrast.
first of all I simply love Animal Castle. it’s exquisite, one of the most beautiful animal fantasies I’ve seen illustrated in a long time. Felix Delep’s forms and gestures are so weighty, so fluid, & his designs evoke realism and character in equal measure, which is a hard line to walk in animal fantasy. every character is distinct and recognizable with resorting to caricature — an equally artful character design sensibility, but incorrect for the tone of this book. (can’t help but compare w/ Joe Sutphin’s recent graphic novel adaptation of Watership Down, which similarly wanted a realist sensibility and was genuinely a joy to read but suffered from all the bunnies looking the same, much like real bunnies.) and every panel is a treat to look at! Delep’s backgrounds are sooo detailed, the sense of place is really fantastic, not to mention his handling of light. pick this one up in hard copy if you can, it’s so worth seeing in person.
textually, storywise, it is equally excellent. Dorison is doing something different from Orwell: Farm is allegorical, a fable, which by necessity makes simplifications and operates with broad strokes, relying on archetype. Orwell is not particularly interested in the inner lives or personal relationships of any of the animals, which is fine for a fable. but I think it has a major failing, which is that basically all of Orwell’s working class characters areeeee... dead stupid. The working animals are, with the exception of Benjamin the donkey (who is cynical and apathetic), ignorant, illiterate, incapable of becoming literate, and without agency. This is even true of their descendants! (I do not think I am personally quite as pro-revolution as Jones Manoel, but I find his critique of Farm on this basis very compelling. This isn’t the only theme or moral you can pull from Animal Farm, but it is easy to read one of the main themes as “dictators are inevitable because regular people are stupid and gullible and cannot be educated,” which is ... I do not endorse this.)
Castle, on the other hand, is an entirely character-driven story. Miss B, our beloved Miss B, may not the smartest or strongest or best-positioned individual, but she has a will, she has a personality, she has opinions, she has family and friends and material interests and incentives, and Castle cares very much about all of these things. it also is far more interested in the small, mundane details of resistance against authoritarianism; no glorious revolution (yet? the story is still in progress & I need to read the first 3 issues of vol. 2, but I doubt it), but the small acts of rebellion and community building that are no less important. it is also, of course, very relevant that Dorison’s protagonist is a single mother. Dorison is interested in the ways women manage in authoritarian regimes — the hens whose reproductive labor is exploited are a much bigger part of the book, and the ewes (some of the sheep are ewes!) are not brainless sycophants but people who are realistically cowardly and reluctant to make waves, plus there are also rabbits in Castle and iirc they’re doing some sex work — and this also includes those who cozy up to the government. Orwell, known misogynist, very briefly mentions a female dog and a couple of sows, but only as vehicles to produce Napoleon’s guard dogs and more pigs; Dorison sketches out the ox dictator’s consort and the wife of the chief guard dog as minor but fully considered characters with concerns and incentives of their own.
Castle also has a much less hypercompetent authoritarian government. Metatextually, neither Napoleon nor Snowball are actually superhumanly competent compared to an average person, but the rest of the animals are so stupid that the bar for competence is on the floor. Castle knows & shows that dictators are not actually head and shoulders above working class people in terms of competence, only in terms of the amount of force they can bring to bear.
i don’t think Castle is necessarily strictly better than Farm, they have different concerns (Farm, by Orwell’s own admission, is much more immediately about revolutions failing, and Castle is more about existing under authoritarianism afterwards) and are also fully different forms (the allegorical novella vs. the serialized graphic novel), but... my edition of Farm (Signet Classics 1996) has a quote from the NYT on the back, reading, “A wise, compassionate, and illuminating fable for our times.” illuminating? yes. compassionate? no, I don’t think so. Orwell does sympathize with his characters (except Mollie, justice for Mollie) and wants you to sympathize as well (weren’t we all traumatized by Boxer’s death in high school?) but still, he is distinctly in contempt of the common man and women generally. I prefer Castle.

a day late because yesterday i was tooooo busy! some spoilers in here for dungeon meshi and saltburn!
listening: mostly background stuff. i still haven't played more nier: automata but the boyf got me listening to the soundtrack and it whips.
reading: more tgcf at night to soothe my frenzied brain to sleep. i finished dungeon meshi yesterday!! i did cry!!! it was so, so good, i loved it. i really liked that there was no set antagonist, per se, at least not until the very end with the fight against the winged lion, it was all just a bunch of characters with different but justifiable goals that had their aims all butting up against each other. very cool. i love kabru what a little shit
a collection of some good screenshots:
Tumblr media
watching: many things this week. my partner is visiting for the week and we like to have videos on while we're cooking n eating so we watched...essentially the entirety of weird history food channel, started with the trader joes one and spiraled from there.
youtube
we also watched the currently-released episodes of dungeon meshi. very charming. i cannot wait to see how they animate certain scenes.
on sunday night we did a friend dinner, so me and my boyfriend, roommate and hers, and one other friend; after dinner we movie night-ed it and watched saltburn and blazing saddles:
saltburn was insane! apparently there is shock and alarm at the sex scenes, which i am not very online about it so i have no idea what people are actually saying but imo it was not that crazy. there is a solo, uh, let's call it Moment towards the end of the film that is pretty out there, but besides that the sex scenes are the least of anyone's worries in this movie. it took me WAY too long to realize that the main character was the antagonist, i'm normally pretty savvy to those kinds of twists so that took me off guard. my roommate had seen it once (or even twice?? i think?? i have no wish to watch that movie again, good for her though) and i didn't start clocking it until immediately before felix tricked oliver into going home. as they were in the car i was like "there's no fucking way that he lied about his family to felix. right. right??" oops. some good cool symbolism in there, i had a bit of an xkcd "of course everyone knows this myth" moment when my roommate was like "huh i wonder if there's a symbolic reason for the bull-man statue in the maze at the end, or felix's angel wing costume" and i was like surprise pikachu. the minotaur, the labyrinth, icarus, hello? wdym you don't know the story of the minotaur??? much to think about with this movie. i searched it on tumblr and feel like a lot of people missed the point in favor of blorbo romance but like, fair, it is the blorbo romance website. 8.5/10.
blazing saddles was our palette cleanser after that doozy of a film. my friend said at the end "anyone who thinks this movie is racist needs better media literacy" and i'm inclined to agree. yes the n word is in there - but the people saying it are so unambiguously depicted as insanely stupid and wrong, and the leading man is a charismatic handsome black man, and tbh the smartest person in the movie? arguably more homophobic (the end scenes) than racist but even then the way 'f*ggot' is deployed hit me like modern tumblr humor.
youtube
idk. even though it's a comedy it is Very clear to me that a message from this movie is "Racism Bad". i thought it was fun, didn't find the blonde lady's musical number very good or funny, got a few chuckles out of it overall. classic mel brooks. 7/10.
playing: wizord101.
making: started experimenting with english paper piecing! i forgot to take a picture yesterday so ill try to remember and add that later today. or maybe for next week's post. also started a pair of fingerless gloves for my mom
eating: my boy made us all a budae-jjigae type object on sunday and it was so so so yummy - photo from before simmering for like 30 minutes, with pork belly, spam, tofu, and a bunch of mushrooms, grunions, and kimchi:
Tumblr media
before my roommate came back from a conference we did this cabbage and thin-sliced hotpot beef thing that was. so fucking good. we had it two separate nights in a row. just layering meat and napa cabbage and then cutting into ~2in strips, laying them in a pot, filling the center with mushrooms; make a broth of soy sauce/dashi/misc soup stock powder from leftover ramen, pour it over, simmer til cooked baby. delicious. this image is a little steamy bc i tried to take it right after opening the pot, lol
Tumblr media
misc: wough. struggling to get back into the routine a little. i need to make more spreadsheets for my agonies (apartment hunting and determining what internships/programs to apply to for this summer). and i need to start using my planner again because i keep forgetting to do shit.

Just A Little Luck
---
There’s a few things to note about Hogwarts sixth year Stiles Stilinski. For starters, he’s a Slytherin. Top of his class too, he’s been in the Slug Club for years. The sorting hat was a little stumped with him at first. His proclivity for academics almost had Stiles placed in Ravenclaw, but he’s far too much of a trickster to be placed anywhere but Slytherin. Not to mention the ambition to achieve his goals no matter what it takes.
He’s also an Animagus. Which was an incredibly hard process to learn as a third year. But Stiles did it by some miracle. It’s amazing running around in his fox form. The Forbidden Forest is his favorite. Most of the Centaurs know him by name since Stiles is one of the few Wizards to treat not only the forest, but them with respect. So they leave him to run in peace and even occasionally seek his help if something is amiss.
Being academically inclined made his O.W.L.s a cake walk. As a muggle-born most of his peers expected him to struggle early on. Stiles was more than happy to prove them wrong.
Professor Slughorn is obsessed with him. Which means that Stiles has far surpassed his fellow classmates. On his first day in the advanced potions course, he was the only one to successfully brew an invisibility potion. It’s just as difficult and temperamental as the Draught of Living Death. Slughorn was practically giddy even after all this time.
“No student can make that potion,” Myrtle sneers from where she’s perched above the sinks.
“For the love of Merlin,” Stiles sets his book back on his lap with a huff. “Isn’t there some hopeless Prefect taking a bath that you can go and annoy?”
As much sass as he’s giving the ghost, she’s not exactly wrong. Not a single student has ever successfully brewed Felix Felicis. Never. But there hasn’t been a single potion to beat Stiles yet. He’s not about to let it be Liquid Luck either.
Stiles needs this.
Because today he plans on asking Theo Raeken out on a date. Slytherin Quidditch Captain, same year as Stiles. And true heir to Salazar Slytherin. While Theo doesn’t seem to adhere to the Pureblood ideology, a little luck couldn’t hurt a muggle-born like Stiles.
So he’s going to make this fucking potion. Preferably without Moaning Myrtle’s snark.
“You don’t have to be so rude, you know,” she whines, ghostly eyes filling with tears.
Stiles hangs his head back with a sigh, “look, Myrtle,” he tries to stow his annoyance when he faces her again. “I have something really important I’m trying to do today, okay? I need all the help I can get.”
“From what I hear, you’re the smartest in your year.” Myrtle squints at him, “what could you possibly need luck for?”
“Landing a date with Theo Raeken,” he mumbles.
“A boy,” she squeals, laughing as she soars towards him. “Why didn’t you say so?”
“I-I’m sorry?” The Slytherin boy stares at her shocked. The girl has certainly never been this docile around him. But he needed privacy, so he came to the second floor girl’s bathroom.
“You should be.” She goes to shove his shoulder, but her hand goes right through him. Such an odd feeling, and cold. “Had I known it was about a boy, I’d have helped you.”
Stiles snorts, “you? Help someone? That doesn’t sound like the Myrtle that tried to drown me in the toilet last year.”
“I’m only mean to those that are mean to me,” she says with a sly grin.
“To be fair, I hadn’t realized which bathroom I ran into,” Stiles chuckles.
“You threw a book at my head!”
“I’m sorry! You startled me!”
Myrtle laughs, “come on. Let’s get you your boy. Add another tentacle.”
“But the instructions specifically say two.”
She shrugs, “I watched Professor Slughorn brew some as a prize for his seventh year class. He put in three.”
Suddenly unsure as to whether or not Myrtle is actually helping him, Stiles cautiously puts in another Murtlap tentacle. The bubbling brown mixture lets out a puff of smoke before settling to a nice golden color. Just like the book suggests.
“Yes!” Stiles exclaims, pumping his fist in the air. “Myrtle, I could kiss you right now. Thank you.”
The ghost giggles, “go get your boy. I want to hear all about it,” Myrtle smiles before soaring in the air and diving into her toilet with a splash.
Stiles ladles the Felix Felicis into a small goblet so it can cool off. He hasn’t been in the girl’s bathroom- lavatory, loo, he’s really gotta get a handle on the lingo outside of America- for very long. If he moves quickly, he can catch Theo on his way to the Quidditch pitch. Hopefully alone so he can word vomit his request for a date with no peering eyes. Minimal shame is what he’s going for here.
Giving the potion another moment to cool, Stiles tidies up his things and dusts his robe off. Slinging it back on so McGonagall doesn’t give him shit for not wearing it again, he gulps down the Liquid Luck. A smile glosses over his face and with a flourish of his wand, the cauldron and ingredients disappear. Hopefully clean and back in his room.
Felix agrees.
Feeling good about himself, Stiles saunters out into the halls in search of Theo. He’s had the biggest crush on his fellow Slytherin since he laid eyes on the boy underneath the Sorting Hat. Theo has always been nice to him on their carriage rides to the castle and around the school. They even studied for their O.W.L.s together. Theo has even sparked up a conversation or two with him if they’ve sat close enough during meals. Stiles can just never get over the hurdle of their lineage. That there’s the chance Theo’s parents stand by the not mixing of blood and expect their son to do the same. Times may have changed, but not for everyone.
But that’s what Felix is for.
To put luck on his side and get the guy.
Walking out the front door feeling absolutely giddy, Stiles finds Theo not far ahead and actually walking alone. The Quidditch captain has his broom resting on his shoulders, drumming his fingers against the wood.
Not letting this chance go to waste, Theo is right there, Stiles runs. “Hey, Theo! Wait up,” he calls.
The other Slytherin boy stops in his tracks, turning around with his brows pinched. When his eyes land on Stiles, Theo smiles and meets him halfway.
“Thanks,” Stiles pants when he reaches the other boy.
“You alright?” Theo chuckles, amused as he swings his broom off his shoulders.
Stiles hunches over, hands on his knees to catch his breath. "Yeah," he huffs. Apparently Liquid Luck couldn't be bothered to help him in the athletic department. Rude.
Theo pats his shoulder, unknowingly grounding Stiles; he’s more fox than human at times with touch. "You should join the team. I'll make you a better runner in no time."
"I'm a fantastic runner," Stiles stands back up. He nods his head to the side, "well, when I'm a fox, I am. Four legs are much faster than two."
"Have you given any more thought to letting me see you as a fox?" Theo asks, almost shyly, looking at his feet.
"I-" he honestly thought the other boy had been joking. And that was like two weeks ago. "You were serious?"
The captain nods, "well, yeah. If you'd be comfortable with that. I think Animaguses are fascinating." Theo flashes him a gorgeous smile and his heart damn near melts. This is genuine Theo too. Because he’d asked about this before Stiles even took the potion.  "It's cool as hell that I'm friends with one. I'd love to see it."
They've talked and studied together, but Stiles never thought the other boy would've considered them friends.
"Yeah," Stiles clears his throat to hide the cheesy grin. "Just let me know when."
"I'm gonna hold you to that," Theo playfully narrows his eyes at him, a smile tugging the corner of his mouth. "Right," he jumps like he'd remembered something, " I gotta get to the pitch, I'll see you back at the common room."
"Okay," Stiles waves, letting him go. "Oh shit. Theo hang on," he grabs the other boy’s arm, "I almost forgot what I wanted to ask you."
"What's up?" He asks, not caring about the hand on him. Theo doesn't usually let people touch him outside of Quidditch.
"I-" Stiles takes a breath, anxiety starting to creep in beside Felix. But that's what it's for. All he has to do is say the words. "I was wondering if you'd let me take you to the Three Broomsticks? You know," he sways on his feet, "as a date."
"Oh, uh, Stiles-"
No. No, no, no, no, no. Felix was supposed to help this go well! His heart is plummeting in his chest. Stomach ready to fall out of his ass. He recognizes that tone a mile away. Stiles is being rejected.
"I'm sorry. You're a great guy and I would love to  hang out with you, but I'm just not interested in you like that." Theo’s face twists in confusion. That Stiles even asked in the first place? "I- I'm really sorry. I gotta go," he nods before turning back towards the gate.
Stiles watches him in shocked silence. What did he possibly do wrong? He made it right, Myrtle assured him of it. And seeing as how he, a non-Quidditch player, made it outside the castle after dinner, it had to have worked.
"What the fuck just happened?"
He doesn't attend classes for three days, or even leave bed just to go down to the common room. Madam Pomfrey came to check on him the second day. Seeing he wasn't ill, but riddled with nerves, she let him off. Nerves over seeing Theo again after being rejected, but she didn’t need to know that. It was plain to his friends he shares the room with that he was not doing so great.
His only solace was when Liam, his friend and Beater on the team, came back to their room that night and said nothing about it. So Theo didn't tell anybody.
That's something at least.
On the other hand though, Stiles woke up on the fourth day with his robes soaked.
"Shit," he mutters, waving his wand to dry it. He promised Myrtle that he'd tell her what happened. She must think he's blowing her off. Today is the last day Madam Pomfrey gave him to collect himself. Maybe moving around will do him some good.
After quickly getting dressed, Stiles makes his way to the great hall. Most of the students have gone to their first classes of the day. Only a handful of sixth and seventh years with free periods remain. He nicks a muffin and a goblet of pumpkin juice from the Slytherin table before leaving. Making his way towards the girl's bathroom on the second floor with his head hung low.
Hopefully Myrtle isn't too pissed. It's not like he's been denying her or purposefully ignoring her. Stiles was just too mortified to leave his room. Wildly embarrassed and stuck in his feelings.
Carefully pushing open the door, Stiles pikes his head inside. "Whoa!" He shouts, jumping back and narrowly escaping a massive stream of water coming straight for his face. "Myrtle, it's me," Stiles says through the closed door.
"Good," she snaps, followed by the sound of more water slapping the wood.
"Listen, I haven't been leaving you hanging, I promise" he explains. "Theo, he-" Stiles sighs, might as well finally say the words out loud. "He turned me down."
Myrtle’s head pops through the middle of the door, "what?"
"He rejected me," Stiles slaps his thighs. The ghost's face falls and she retreats back into the bathroom. Skeptical that he's safe from more projectiles, Stiles pushes the door open again, finding Myrtle sitting by the sinks; she pats the space beside her. "I don't understand what I did wrong," Stiles says, plopping down beside her.
"What happened?"
Stiles recounts everything. How he made it out of the castle with ease when only Quidditch players are allowed out for practice. How nice Theo was to him in general and about him being an Animagus. The playful nature the other boy had about him being out of shape as a human.
Everything.
"But when you asked him on a date, he said no," Myrtle looks just as confused as Theo had when he said no. "Maybe he doesn't like boys. I doubt Felix Felicis can change someone's sexual preferences."
Stiles shakes his head, "no, he likes guys too. I've seen him making out with Talbot under the Quidditch stands in our fourth year." That isn’t an easy sight to forget. The two hottest guys in school making out with each other? Yeah, that’s burned into Stiles’ brain and at the tippy top of his spank bank.
Don’t judge.
Myrtle hums, tapping her chin, "maybe they're still together?"
"Nah, it was only the one time and Brett transferred to Durmstrang last year." Stiles presses the palms of his hands into his eyes and takes a deep breath. He hasn't cried over this yet and he's not about to do so now. "I just don't get it. The potion definitely worked."
"You know," she giggles, a mischievous sound. He’s not entirely sure if he likes the sound. "If you want Theo so badly, you could just slip him a love potion. It's much easier to make than Liquid Luck."
Stiles drops his hands, crossing his arms over his knees, "no. I don't want to force him into liking me. I just used Felix to get me one date.” The Slytherin boy lifts a finger, “just the one. If Theo didn't like me after that, then so be it. I just wanted a chance, Myrtle."
"So use Amortentia to get you the date," the ghost says. "It's not long lasting," Myrtle tries to reason, "if it wears off in the middle of the date and he wants to leave, let him. But if he stays…" she trails off, leaving the Slytherin boy to fill in the blanks.
"Then he actually likes me?"
"I would say so, yes."
"I guess I could tweak it," Stiles rubs his jaw, thinking out loud, "make it less potent. More of an attraction than an actual love potion. Just to make myself seem more appealing to him, you know? Just enough to get the date, that’s it."
Myrtle smiles, "you certainly wouldn't be the first Wizard to change a spell or potion to have it work in their favor."
"You're right, I can do this."
Once Slughorn saw how good Stiles was at brewing potions, he allowed the sixth year access to his ingredients whenever he wanted. Grabbing the necessary items for Amortentia was easy. Avoiding people on his way back to Myrtle’s lavatory, not so much. The one Prefect that stopped him was thankfully a Slytherin. So all Stiles had to do was tell a small fib that he was brewing a tonic for his nerves and was sent on his way.
It's a really good thing that no one ever uses this bathroom anymore. The house elves still keep it clean so that Myrtle doesn't have to live eternity in filth, but they’re not due yet. Which is kind of pointless. The girl swims in toilet drains on the regular. Stiles doubts she cares about a little dust. On the other hand, the thought is probably nice though.
And with no students being stupid enough to risk upsetting Myrtle, he's free to make his potion in peace.
"I'm glad you're not the boy I thought you were," Myrtle says, looking over the ingredients littering the tile floor.
Stiles snorts a laugh, "and I'm glad you're not like Peeves. I really can't stand him. You know he threw some poor Hufflepuff’s books on the floor because they didn’t like his jokes? The first year was in tears."
"I’m not above making people cry,” Myrtle deadpans. “I just mean," she settles next to the cauldron that's coming to a boil, fiddling with her fingers, "it's nice to have a friend." Myrtle ducks her head, "I haven't had one of those in a really long time."
The Slytherin boy's heart throbs, "I'm happy to be your friend, Myrtle."
"So tell me about your boy," she giggles, lifting into the air to fly about the room. "Your Theo."
Colorful smoke plumes from the cauldron, the spicy scent of cinnamon rolls wafts into his nostrils. Reminds him of early weekend mornings before his mom passed. Along with the smell of the Forbidden Forest after it rains, the perfect time for a little gray fox to go for a run. And something he can't quite place, spicy but a sharp sweetness almost like- holy shit. Theo's cologne. As if he didn't already know he was attracted to the fucking guy.
Okay, now to just lessen the effects.
"First of all," Stiles cocks an eyebrow at her, "he's not my Theo."
"Oh, but you want him to be," she sings. "Come on, no one comes in here. Tell me about Theo, let me see him," Myrtle waves her hand in front of the potion as he adds half of a bezoar.
If it's good enough to cure ailments, half of one should lessen the effects. At least he really hopes so.
"Okay, okay," he shoos her off. "He's a few inches shorter than me, not noticeable really. His eyes are a beautiful blue," Stiles smiles, seeing them in his head. "But when the sun hits them just right, they look green." Like how they do every morning at the breakfast table. Talk about a way to start your day.
"He sounds handsome," Myrtle sighs, laying on her stomach, propping her head in her hands.
"Very,” Stiles agrees. “He's captain of the Quidditch team," he tells the ghost, the smell of the brew becoming less intense. It's working! "Theo's a Slytherin like me, but from a very prominent bloodline."
"Uh, Stiles," Myrtle says.
"I'm talking descended from Salazar himself," Stiles carries on, his rambling taking over. "That's why I used Liquid Luck. I-I didn't think that someone muggle-born would be accepted by his family. But I-I’m not a bad guy, you know? I just wanted a fair shot to prove myself."
"Stiles!"
"What?" He snaps out of his rant to look up at her.
"Would you say Theo has a strong jaw?" Myrtle asks.
"I-" Stiles' mouth falls open in a frown. That's an odd question. "Yeah, I guess so. Why do you ask?"
Myrtle doesn't answer, rather points behind Stiles, trying to hide her laugh. A bucket of ice water pours over him, Stiles is sure of it, when he turns around to find Theo. Amused as ever where he stands against the door with his arms folded and one leg crossed.
"Oh fuck," Stiles mutters, eyes wide as saucers. He’s in the bathroom making a fucking love potion for the guy and he just walks in. Irony? Karma? What the fuck is this, because Stiles really doesn’t like it. He doesn’t even know what to do and isn’t even sure he’s breathing.
"Hey there Stiles," Theo smirks.
That's not good. Stiles is frozen on the spot so badly he might as well have been hit by Petrificus Totalus. It's a really good thing his mouth is used to working without any help from him because Stiles is gone.
"How, uh, how long have you been standing there?" He asks, though certain he both knows the answer and doesn't actually want to hear it. His ears are pink enough as it, the heat creeping down his neck.
Theo leans off the wall, taking a step closer. His smirk ever present, "probably a lot longer than you'd like."
"Fuck," Stiles curses under his breath, hanging his head. This is so not how things were supposed to happen. What's Theo going to do? The fact that he just looks amused about the whole thing is rather unsettling. Stiles pinches his eyes closed, rubbing them before asking, "are you going to report me?"
The other boy laughs, fully and heartily. "Why in the hell would I report you? Can't exactly date you if you're expelled now, can I?"
"What?" Stiles' head whips is. Surely he misheard. There’s simply no way he heard that properly.
Theo chuckles, standing close enough that Stiles has to look up at him. That shouldn’t be as enticing as it looks. "You know, for someone so brilliant, you can be quite thick."
"I-I’m sorry?"
Myrtle cackles, “he’s not wrong.” Stiles shoots her a glare and she backs off, giggling as she goes.
"There's this fine little clause when it comes to Felix Felicis." Theo asks, "did you know that?" Stiles' face falls at his words, no he didn't. "I did. Well, I had to look it up in the library."
"What's the clause?" He asks. Because of course the one time Stiles doesn't read the fine print it's actually useful information. Go figure.
Theo squats in front of him, "it states that if you didn't need luck for the task to begin with, the potion will have the opposite effect. It's why I didn't use it to become captain; I'd have never gotten it."
"So-"
"It's also why I was so fucking confused when I said no to the gorgeous awkward guy in my year who helped me pass my OWLs." Theo drops his voice to a whisper, "you know the one I'd ask out myself if he wasn't so bloody shy in everything but academics. I was worried your own fear would make you say no. But here you are," Theo points at the cauldron, "brewing Amortentia and having no idea that it smells like you and those little pies you brought to our study sessions."
"To be fair, it's heavily diluted so you'd just be a little attracted to me." Stiles gets to his feet, "but hang on. If you'd known I'd used Liquid Luck, why didn't you say anything? Confront me sooner?"
"Well," Theo rises up to meet him, barely a foot apart, "this is the first day you've left your room." The captain gets closer, carefully putting a hand on Stiles' hip, pulling their bodied flush. All air leaves his lungs at the action, his heart pounding in his chest and legs turned to jelly. "Besides, this isn't a confrontation, sweetheart.” His free hand brushes the side of Stiles’ chin, making him shiver. “I think it's cute that you thought you needed potions to get me."
"You do?" The words are whispered, breath caught in Stiles' throat.
"Very. All you had to do was say hello," Theo's words are accentuated with a squeeze to his hip. "So what do you say, sweetheart? Wanna be my boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?" Stiles nearly chokes on the word.
"Stiles, I've known you for six years," Theo explains, "that's more than enough time to know if I want to be with someone." He leans in until their noses touch, "all you have to do is say yes and I'll learn the rest as we go."
This is all Stiles has ever wanted and more. Saying, "yes," is effortless.
"Good," Theo grins, grabbing his chin and sealing their mouths together in a kiss.
Guess he never needed luck to begin with. Stiles just needed to be himself to get the guy.
Who knew?

I love how Felix steals everything from Gabriel and I don't necessarily mean this in a material sense (as in, the ring, the peacock miraculous, etc) but mostly in a meta sense.
Gabriel is the main villain of the show and a common consensus is that he's a dumbfuck, a loser and a prick.
While Felix shows up once in a blue moon (2 to 4 episodes a season) is a fan favorite, everyone encourages his "evil" mostly because it unconveniences Gabe AND even after being the reason why Ladybug lost most of the miraculouses, Felix is STILL A FAN FAVORITE. DESPITE MAKING THE MAIN CHARACTER ALMOST FAIL.
Not to mention how that song in emotion was a reprise of what Gabe did earlier in the season. However, while Gabe's singing moment is mostly seen as cringe or straight up ignored by the fandom, Felix's singing was so theatrical and iconic, it's already considered to be one of the most memorable moments this season.
Felix just took everything from Gabe, best villain/antagonist, best drama queen, best singer, one of the smartest lads in the show if not THE smartest and most cunning.
Felix is a hit. Gabe is the biggest flop known to Paris and humanity.

Marinette is the smartest character in Miraculous Ladybug, and the only reasons why she did not already beat Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth/Monarch is because:
She have incomplete information to plan and act upon.
The writers will keep her to "commit a mistake" in order to keep the story going.
Meanwhile the only reason that Felix was able to do anything is because he had privileged information given to him in a silver plate...

Félix as Flairmidable
This name is hilarious and you’re about to find out why.
It really bugged me at first because I couldn’t figure out how it related to dogs or canines at all. But I knew the second part of the name comes from the word “formidable.” In English, it means powerful/capable/intense in a way that commands respect or fear (I.e. formidable opponent). In French, it can be the same, but also translates to “tremendous,” “amazing,” “terrible” (if you’re wanting a negative connotation).
Those definitions definitely go with how Felix sees himself (and he is definitely a formidable opponent).
But I was drawing a blank on “flair” or how else the name could refer to anything canine at all. So I just googled “flairmidable meaning” and see if someone else in the miraculous wiki figured it out lol. And they did!
Someone in a miraculous discussion post said “flair” means a dog’s sense of smell. I did some more googling to fact check it just in case, and found that it’s almost right: “flairer” (a French verb) means “sniff,” and “flaireur” means “scent.” Since Fetch is a tracking power, it’s a good connection to how dogs track.
Okay, now here’s the funny part.
“Flair,” by itself, also means “instinctive aptitude or ability for doing something well. Add that with “formidable,” and, well…
Felix literally went “hi I’m Talented and Powerful” to an entire team of superheroes and no one bat an eye (well, except Chat, but he was on jealousy brain).
(Then he proceeded to prove that he was exactly that. What a legend.)

Too many thoughts head full, time to ramble and say things
- Hall monitor being older brother to the kindergarten kids(Thought about him getting second job to save for college; and also to get the kids ice-cream if they behave; he mostly saves it though)
- Carla and Buggs friendship
- Ozzy and Buggs friendship
- Buggs dynamics with other ppl in general
- Penny X Carla X Monty (wanna write but have more important stuff than this rn :,])
- Kidd, just a lot of ideas about Kidd
- Ozzy, he plagues me daily
- Ozzy and Felix, but what if enemies to friends to lovers mutual pining and angst
- My OCs; specially the one who has her arms replaces with ribbons and she has a tank of poison inserted into her spine, she also now has a gun that shoots said poison and she refuses to die.(Also the angry spirit that follows her around and has knives in that surround him in the form of angel wings and halo)
- Kidd with ram horns(Kidd w/ sacrificial lamb imagery is something weirdly on my mind)
And surprising the one time my English teacher saw an image of Buggs I drew and called him a she(now thinking of butch fem Buggs)
Big thought below where I can't explain it in bullet point form
Honestly, I can't really bring myself to hate any of the Kg and Kg2 characters that aren't the adults. It sounds stupid but I just can't.
The reason is rather simple, they're five year olds. They don’t truly understand what they're doing, like at all. They may be the smartest 5 year olds ever, but they're still 5.
They can kill, harm, and just be the worst ppl ever. But they're glorified toddlers who barely understand that they're hurting each other. A sibling of mine visited our grandfather when he was dying and that stuff slipped over their head, and they were 4. Heck the stuff didn't make sense to myself and I was 7ish.
Felix may want his brother dead, but he might not understand that when his brother dies, he's not coming back. His father knows why he wants this to happen, but Felix may not know in the slightest, or at least not to the extent of that his father does. It's not an exact excuse for Felix’s actions, but I can understand why he has no empathy or care about what he is doing.
I'm using Felix as an example because I did hate Felix before. I hated that he wanted to kill his brother, that he was cruel, he was well Felix. I talked with my sibling about the game(it's been an obsession for a while), when my mom overheard me talking about Felix. She pointed out the exact reason why Felix is innocent in his crime to a degree, he's 5. He doesn't grasp murder or death or what an assassin is. He's smart for a 5 year old, but he still understands the world in the way a child does.
This doesn't just apply to Felix. But to all the kids and all of their little crimes. They don’t understand what they're doing, at least not on the level we do. Cindy and Buggs might understand that bullying is bad, but they don't know how badly they're affecting Lily and Nugget. Jerome doesn't understand that Lily didn't kill his father, he's only correlating that Lily hated his father, Billy went missing, and Billy was found when his father died.
More about Jerome. He's a smart kid yes, but I can't blame him for acting the way he does in Kg2, he's emotional because he found his father's body parts, and Lily found her brother around the same time. He wants revenge because he didn't know what we do. He just wants closure for what he believes was the death of a good man, his father even. Kg2 also takes place the day *after* his father's death, so we take an a child who is still *grieving*, who found his dad's dead body, and has moved to a different school, that's too much for a child to handle. Of course the child is emotional.
Jerome understands death more than the other kids because he experienced in the games first hand. We see the result, he knows his dad isn't coming back, he's upset, and he's not thinking straight. He's in smart class for a reason, but clearly he should have time to process his father's passing. In things that go boom(? Carla's misson), he acts irrationally upon seeing Lily because that's how a 5 year old would react, he found his father's supposed murderer and wants revenge.
When he finds the truth you know what happens? He cries harder, he apologizes to Lily and Kidd in that misson as well. He accepts that father was bad, which is a lot more than mature than he should be at that age, and moves on. He perfectly shows how these kids, while much smarter than regular 5 year olds, they still act like kids and behave.
(Note: I found it weird that a lot of the older wattpad fics charactized Jerome as always hating Lily even when they got older. But I can't blame them, we see Jerome as clearly being in the wrong, but we don't think to look at this in Jerome's perceptive)
In the end they're kids, glorified toddlers even. Death doesn't phase them because they don't understand it. They know things at a basic level, yes they are uber smart for 5 year olds, but they are still 5 year olds. I can't be mad at these kids for being- well kids. Yes they're mean and cruel to each other, but they're still kids. They don't understand that killing each other means they won't come back, to them maybe death means they won't see that person for a while.

That's it, 10 episodes in, half of the season, and the dumpster fire just continues.
Well today I'll be reviewing the first two part episode of miraculous that isn't a season finale, today I'll be reviewing the tenth episode of miraculous season five transmission
We start the episode with Sabrine (Marinette’s mom) entering in the room telling her she’s gonna get late, which Marinette says that’s she’s not feeling good, man I just need to point this out Sabrine not accepting her daughter not going to school because she’s was not feeling good emotionally is super unrealistic yet cute, I think everyone else’s mom would just not give a shit and send them to school anyways.
Tikki: you can’t stay in your room forever
Marinette grumbles
Tikki: what will you do if an Akumatized villain shows up?
Wow, Tikki is an asshole, like I’m glad she’s acting in character but still an asshole, it’s been 5 seasons, I think by that time she would be less oblivious about human feelings, keep in mind that she was meant to be a "cute" and "caring" character and I personally think that making a loving character not give a shit about their friends emotions is not the smartest of ideas.
Marinette: just give my miraculous to however you want… they can’t be never be as bad as I was.
Marinette: anything never works out for me, Adrien? Never even started, Luka? Couldn’t work out, chat noir? Didn’t even get off the ground.
Ok I can understand she being upset about being rejected a lot of people suffer because of that, she’s a teen, I can see it happening, but. why is she saying she was a bad ladybug? I thought she was sad because of that chat noir bullshit not about losing the miraculous.
Actually, lets go with this explanation, because “loosing extremely powerful weapons to a sociopath that can kill people” is a much better reason to why she’s moaning in her room to “the boy I like rejected me even if I knew since the beginning the two superheroes of Paris dating was a bad idea so now, I don’t want to exist anymore”
Tikki: you’re over reacting Marinette
Marinette: really? Then how could I lose the miraculous I was trusted with all because of love, love only causes problems, I’ll never fall in love again! Love is weak!
Ugh, this, first of all no, love wasn’t what caused her too loose the miraculous, it was a series of specific events that the writers pulled together to make that bullshit of an ending, she didn’t lose the miraculous because of “oH iMmA gOnNa cAlL Adrien BeCaUsE ImMa iN lOvEeEeEeEeE” she did it because Felix didn’t had a risk mark in his neck and she don’t have enough braincells to just fuse with the dog herself,
and two: how did Marinette get to this conclusion? Even if she lost the miraculous because of love where the fuck did it came from? Like I would understand if she gave up on being in love because of rejection but the show makes it seem like she gave up because of Felix which is just bullshit.
Alya and Adrien then try to call her but she doesn’t answer, Ms. Bustier name that I had to search up on google to write. asks to Alya take Marinette her homework, man why can’t you just give it to her the next day? It seems a hell of a lot easier than going to her house just to give it to her, that just doesn’t make sens- ugh whatev the show just wants an excuse to make Adrien go to her house and I just want an excuse to be done with this and get some Doritos so who gives a fuck? I know I don’t give a fuck, and you shouldn't give a fuck either, so just let’s all don’t give a fuck together
Adrien then goes see her to hand in her homework and they talk about no one really understanding them, which I think is good drama idea for a super hero cartoon, I’m glad that they are going to use this drama and maybe do something good from it, finally the writers realized that the romance part already got old and people want to see something different-
Marinette: anyone will never love me, and either will I. Even if he were nice… sweet… generous and handsome… and brave… EVEN IF HE WERE YOU!
......
what’s up guys today I’m gonna be doing a suicide speedrun-
Marinette then almost reveal that she is an hypocritic asshol- I mean, that she’s Ladybub but Tikki and Plagg overturn the trash to distract them, that doesn’t work because if your trash falls that doesn’t mean that someone loses the ability to speak, but Marinette realizes that if she tells him the show will end so she just says she’s pathetic.
Writers, to make a character be sympathetic it's not enough just to make them sad. To make a character sympathetic you need to put them in relatable reasons, make them suffer through the journey, make them charismatic, and most important of all, make them grow up alongside the audience, MAKE THEM LOOK HUMAN! So, when the character is sad the audience care about them and want them to get better.
But the writers don’t do that, I think not even the biggest fans of miraculous got sad with this scene.
Adrien then confesses to Marinette but she rejects him and really that’s the funniest scene of the whole episode, I was DYING.
Tumblr media
No man just, look at his face that’s hilarious.
The scene then cuts back to the school and the class is throwing a party for some stupid reason. Zoe having braincells unlike everyone else in the school asks what up with Marinette, but Alya just tell her that there’s nothing to worry because she sent Adrien there, keep in mind that Alya is supposed to be smart and someone who wants to be a journalist.
The scene then cuts again, Adrien asks if he will have another chance but she says no so he just leaves.
Gabriel then tries to Akumatize Adrien but he realizes that it was his son and gives up, showing that Gabriel do care about Adrie- who am I kidding? He tries to Akumatize him later in the episode.
The scene then cuts to Marinette’s room where Plagg call Tikki to talk.
Plagg: Sugarcube! Having to force them to choose between love and their mission is just awful, maybe master fu was wrong to choose them.
Tikki: no! they’re made for each other; love is what gives them their strength
Plagg: but the impossible part of that love is destroying them, and I know a thing or two about destruction
Tikki: sighs* what can we do?
Plagg: we must free them of that impossible choice, we must free them of us.
youtube
WHAT? ARE THE SHOW REALLY TRYING TO TELL US THAT IS BETTER TO LET THE SAFITY OF PARIS, ONE OF THE MOST POPULATED CITIES IN THE WORLD, IN THE HAND OF NOOBIES BECAUSE THOSE TWO ARE SAD THEY CAN’T BE TOGETHER? MONARCH HAS ALMOST ALL THE MIRACULOUS, HE IS A GOD, YOU WANNA LET TWO NOBIES DEFEAT A GOD? WHAT WERE THE WRITERS SMOKING WHEN THEY MADE THIS SCENE? Maybe I could accept Plagg saying this, yes, he is shown to be much more mature in other episodes, but characters in miraculous have the tendency to lose braincells out of thin air, Plagg likes Adrien and don’t wanna see him suffer if I push hard I can accept it. BUT TIKKI? PLAGG IS OFF CHARACTER BUT TIKKI? TIKKI IS A HARD WORK MANIAC WHO ALWAYS PRIORITIZE MARINETTE BEEING A GOOD SUPERHERO ABOVE TEENAGE DRAMA. (Prime queen, Volpina,Etc,) SHE CARES ABOUT MARI BUT THE SAFETY OF 2 MILLION PEOPLE IS MORE IMPORTANT. ORIGINAL TIKKI WOULD JUST TELL THIS PLAGG-WITHOUT-A-BRAIN VERSION TO FUCK OFF AND SHE WOULD GO EAT CROASSAINS.
youtube
Ugh, calm down.. because the bullshit isn’t over yet
We then have a little montage of the idiotic group saying that now they’re okay because Alya and Nino, the smartest beings of earth said that Adrien was going to fix Marinette, while the two idiots cry, so Zoe, the only character in this episode that has shown braincells tells them to at least check if everything was alright.
Alya: I guess Marinette and boys are truly a hopeless case
Talking shit about your best friend behind her back! Alya is a great friend amirite?
Gabriel then goes “talk” to his son but really, he just gives him an alliance and proceeds to try Akumatize him.
We then cut to a little clip.
Tikki: Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you have been an exemplary holder of the Miraculous of the Ladybug. You've always used the power of Creation for the greater good
Plagg: Adrien Agreste, you have been an exemplary holder of the Miraculous of the Black Cat. You've always used the power of Destruction for the greater good. I wish I could say the same thing about me
Tikki: the task you were performing so well has become too much of a burden, crushing you. Your mission is now over.
Adrien: but monarch-
Plagg: Someone will succeed you. You won't have to hide anything anymore from the ones you love. You can finally be yourself
Marinette: you don’t have to do this Tikki.
Tikki: This means you can finally be in love with Adrien
Plagg: This means… you can tell Marinette all your silly, sappy feelings.
Both take of their miraculous and give it to them
Marinette: we’ll see each other again, right Tikki?
Tikki: I’ll never forget you Marinette.
Plagg: you’ll never forget me Adrien
This scene needs some subway surfer’s footage.
it’s so boring “oh but it is a serious scene so is wouldn’t have jokes) I’m not asking to this be funny, I’m asking for this scene to make me feel something, I had to watch this scene in 0.5X to write the dialogues and I replayed the video to see if the scene was that boring, I’m watching lets game it out while writing this because I really can’t get interested. I think we are supposed to feel sad? But they choose to give up the miraculous and we all know they will become ladybug and chat noir in the next episode, and it’s not like they couldn’t make something better out of it, for example in “planetarian” the audience knows that Yumemi will die but the scene is so good that when she does die, we cry, that proves you don’t need to give the effect of surprise to make the audience feel things.
Also “you’ve always used the miraculous for greater good”
Marinette used her lucky charm just out of jealousy in “bubbler” used her hero persona just to humiliate a girl in “Volpina” used her powers to break into Adrien house in “chat blanc” and there’s so much more.
And Adrien? Said someone would never have a chance with ladybug because she was already taken in “Copycat” destroyed property without thinking twice in “Sentibubbler” and “Glaciator 2” stopped a fight just to flirt with Ladybub in “dark cupid” “Glaciator 2” etc.
The list just goes on, I’m not asking to make you characters flawless, I’M JUST ASKING TO NOT TREAT THEM LIKE THEY WERE SAINTS.
Also, I already said why the kwamis suggesting this is bullshit but, did the writers really not realized the problem this could cause?
Marinette and Adrien are bad heroes? yes, but at least Marinette get the job done, and Adrien has the cataclysm so that also helps, I guess? So, two nobodies fighting shitty moth just wouldn’t work, maybe this premise could work if it was done in season 3 or 4, there’s a miraculous au on Tumblr by @lunian which has the exact same promise, but its good!
The writers just forgot that two noobies fighting someone with the powers of a god just couldn’t work, I REALLY CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WERE THINKING. IT MAKES THE KWAMIS LOOK DUMB, MARINETTE AND ADRIEN EVEN MORE SELFISH, GABRIEL BEEING DUMB ENOUGH TO LOSE FOR BEGGINERS EVEN WHEN HE IS A GOOD, I CAN’T UNDERSTAND,
IS IT TO MAKE MARINETTE AND ADRIEN GET TOGETHER WITHOUT REVEALING THEIR IDENTATIES? THERE WAS A BAZZILION WAYS TO DO THAT, AND NOT MAKE EVERYONE LOOK STUPID IN THE PROCESS.
Also, Adrien and Marinette don’t say a word when the kwamis, their little friends they knew for over a year were leaving forever.
Adrien had other reasons to be chat noir to just simp over Ladybub, from chat noir he gained freedom from his dad, he could be himself, and you can even tell “oh but Marinette helps hi- “no she didn’t, she just told him to talk to Gabriel, that’s all, he still has his face everywhere, he probably still does Chinese and piano lessons, God we don’t even know if he can hang out with his friends or not. the only thing that changed is that he doesn’t have to model anymore, that’s all.
And Marinette is a guardian, she made a big mistake losing the miraculous and she wants to fix it.
And can I just point out how out of character Plagg is in this scene? In the whole episode he looks like a different character but this one is special.
Man, I could understand Tikki saying to Marinette confess but Plagg? He aways thought that romance is dumb and tried to make Adrien move on and just be happy, but he realized that he couldn’t do it by himself so tried to make him move on to someone that was interested on him (Kagami) to see if she was able to help him. But now studently he just tells him to keep running after Marinette when she said she didn’t want to? What have they done to ma boi?
Do you see how the whole contempt of this episode is just bullshit?
Gabriel: Adrien’s sadness is even greater than before!
OH, SO NOW YOURE UPSEAT YOUR FRIEND YOU KNEW FOR OVER A YEAR IS LEAVING YOU?
Gabriel then proceeds to try Akumatize Adrien but he realizes that he didn’t gave homework to Marinette, so he takes his bag and leaves.
Gabriel: what’s happening? I can no lover feel the negative emotions!
FUCK YOU ADRIEN
Marinette also gets happi because she can now go back to stalk on Adrien even if she said that being in love with him just caused problems and made her act in the worst ways, oops the writers forgot
Tumblr media
Also, can I point how creepy is Mari just hugging an Adrien picture? like what the heck? Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, for the rest of this two-part special you will be called Creepynette and Stalkerbug.
Because Gabriel couldn’t Akumatize Adrien he looks for someone else
Tumblr media
Man, the guy doesn’t realize a portal by his side, look miraculous season 5 is bad? Yes. But it has a lot of representation for blind people, first it was Stalkerbug, now this guy, soooooo good job writers.
The scene then cuts to Adrien arriving at Creepynette’s house.
Adrien: I.. forgot to give you your homework.
Creepynette: uh, you know earlier I- I didn’t mean what I said, I was feeling down, I told you horrible things, because I just wanted to be alone.
Adrien: so.. when you said that you loved me that wasn’t true?
Creepynette: no of course I lo- I lovvvv A LOVVVVVV, I- GAHHHHHHh
Adrien: are you ok?
Creepynette: no no wait, I can do this
Creepynette: I lo-
youtube
Sorry, moving on
We then have half a minute of Creepynette trying to say I love you while Adrien proceeds to don’t have braincells.
Adrien then recovers his braincells and suggests to him asks some question and she just needs to raise her hands, right hand = yes / left hand = no
Adrien: do you ever loved me?
Creepynette raises her right hand
You also said you no longer love me, if that wasn’t true does that mean? Do you still love me?
Creepynette raise her left hand
Creepynette: no wait! I always confuse my left and right Hehe.
Same bruh, that’s actually funny this was one of the few moments I related to Creepynette
So now the writers decided to make Creepynette and Adrien an official couple, but like, wouldn’t be better to first give them some character development before they get in a relationship? Like chat noir aka Adrien was always possessive towards stalkerbug like in “copycat” and Adrien can’t talk to a female without Creepynette trying to send her to the moon, man she just a scene ago Creepynette was hanging Adrien’s pictures in her room, that alone shows how she is not ready for a romantic relationship and either is Adrien.
The scene then cuts to Creepynette’s stupid classmates trying to come up with a plan to get the two idiots together.
But Nora (Alya’s big sister) calls her.
Nora: Jesus, you never pick up the phone when I like, actually need your advice!
Alya: I couldn’t pick up I’m at school
Nora: yeah right, so you see, I had no choice but to deal with it myself
Alya: oh no Nora, I told you before, you gotta talk before you act
Nora: yeah, but I did talk, like I said stuff in front of cookie’s bros
Alya: Nora! Not talk like that.
Nora: and I think I might have put him in the spotlight in social media, and the thing is I think I might have upset Kouki.
Ugh, this is another thing I hate about season 4 and 5, they make the character dumber because “the plot demands so” this also happened in season 1,2 and 3 but in season 4 and 5 it happens much more often and it kinda Is not intentional CA (character assassination) because, since when was Nora like this? season two Nora was super protective big sister, who treats Alya like a baby, is ignorant as heck, a good fighter, and cares about her family.
And season 5 Nora is dumb as fuck, needs Alya’s help to take basic decisions, doesn’t know nothing about her boyfriend, AND YOU CAN’T TELL ME OTHERWISE, BECAUSEIF A PERSON DIDN’T KNEW THAT HER BOYFRIEND WOULDN’T TAKE SHE MAKING A HUMILIANT MEME SHE DOSEN’T KNOW HIM!
Tikki that was watching the bullshit in a safe distance says that will pick Alya for her new holder.
Plagg thinks about taking Nino but he and Alya are dating so no.
And really why are the kwamis picking the new holders? Shouldn’t it be like, THE GUARIDIAN? In origins it was fu who choose the new holders why now the kwamis get to pick? And like, I understand Creepynette letting Tikki choose her new holder but PLAGG? He is immature, and inconsequential, he would take the first person he found, well it’s not like master fu didn’t do the same but YOU GOT MY POINT.
Well anyways Plagg picks Zoe
After almost 18 minutes the Akuma of the episode shows up and its Kikou
Tumblr media
About the Desing, its nothing to much, its simple but its good I guess, I really don’t have much to say about it, 6/10 garnet glasses
And right after Kikou we have Zoe with the black cat or kitty noire.
Tumblr media
First, why are her eyes yellow? Shouldn’t they be blue or green? Or even purple? Her main color. And it’s not like they put it to “look pretty” because that’s disgustingly bad, why do she have this ugly lipstick? Lime green is not a good color for anything I thought everyone knew that, and why are the ears so pointy? No take chat noir’s ears for example
Tumblr media
Fluffy and cat looking, but kitty noire’s are so pointy, and why are a part of her arms and legs uncovered? I thought the heroes in mlb showed just their faces because they were trying to be stealth so why did they put it there? Vesperia doesn’t have it.
Tumblr media
Why are her clothes so ugly? To begin she doesn’t look like a super hero, she looks like 20 old women going through an emo in the mall. That pants are just normal jeans and this little jacket thing looks ridiculous in her. Well, I’ll give kitty noire a 1.5/10 I liked the tail Desing
And for having a Desing worse than Pennybug’s you shall be named peasant bad looking ass excuse of a character omg why does she exist there was literally no point god dammit background character looking ass bland excuse of LGBT representation crown stealing noire.
or just shitty noire for short.
Shitty noire and Scarabella fight Kikou, a villain that would be much better if he stays in scene for more than 3 minutes and they win DeAkumatizing Kikou to Kouki, they really couldn’t come up with anything better huh?
We than have a little cliffhanger showing that Gabriel can easily track the new heroes and that’s where the episode ends.
Wow this episode was a mess, I am kinda used to miraculous characters studently loosing braincells but this episode did the task to overcome Volpina in characters being dumb, Creepynette is stupid, Adrien is stupid, Creepynette’s class are stupid, the kwamis are extra stupid, man I bet the writers choosing the plot was basically
Tumblr media
the quote on quote “sad scenes” are stupid, not sad, and empty, we can’t relate to any character, and the new heroes are so bland and unnecessary, like why do they want to be heroes? Because the kwamis told them to, wow amazing. There’s nothing in the heroes, they don’t have objectives, dreams, drama, nothing, they are as bland as ladybug’s costume, and the heroes are unnecessary because there were so many better ways to do what this episode wanted to do (get the two idiots together) it’s like they put a list of ideas from Tumblr and just put it all together in the episode. “What if Stalkerbug and chat noir gave up their miraculous?” “What if Adrien finally confesses to Creepynette?” “What if there was a villain with almost all the miraculous powers?” this episode looks like a Wattpad fanfic and I have nothing more to say. I will give this episode a 3/10 at least is more interesting than illusion.
The part two will be coming on soon, because I have no care about my mental health-
Thanks for reading to the end, see you in the next post.

Having reread the story girl, some thoughts:
Uncle Roger is WICKED for what he does to those children, but also I completely understand him. Peak uncle.
Bev and Sara were definitely hinted as romantic, and at the very least linked as the closest of the group. They were also implicitly (if not explicitly) said not to end up together. Bev at what point talks about a point thirty years later in which he reaches out to the far flung Sara, or something along those lines.
Cecily :((( I remember reading that as a little kid and being like WHY and I read it as an adult and was like WHY. What breaks my heart is thinking how her father must have reacted; he's the most similar to Cecily, and I can't imagine how that sweet and gentle man felt when his little girl died.
I love Peter so damn much, and I love that he's obviously the smartest out of all of them. I do wish he had ended up with someone better than Felicity, but Felicity is who our loyal Peter wants.
Dan cracks me up, he and Felicity are exactly how siblings can me. I also love how he's so protective of Cecily--and again, I wonder how he felt at her death. We see a glimpse when he snaps at Peg in the Golden Road at the implication that Cecily will die young. Cecily's fate, like Walter's, is built up throughout that book--from her feeling sick easily, to characters making loaded remarks, to her parents worrying, to the final confirmation at the end. Just thinking about that passage is making me tear up.
I love how LMM tells us what happens to the characters, while not telling us what happens to the characters via Sara's predictions. You have to pick and choose what you think is reasonable between all of Sara's sly jokes. Obviously, Peter and Felicity get married, but will Felix be a grandfather so young? Who can say!
I couldn't stand Sara's father, but I think we're supposed to dislike Sara's father or at least side-eye him.
We learn a lot about Bev, and I like Bev, but I wish we had learned more! He was my favorite character in the book along with Peter, but sometimes his role (although not his perspective) is neglected since he's telling the story of the other characters.
The book is written as a man looking back on his childhood, and there's a bittersweetness there. Sometimes, we'll read a cheerful classic LMM chapter of the children's shenanigans, and then Bev as the narrator will comment about how they drifted apart in the future--see how he said he wrote Sara thirty years later, and provided her response. Even during the passage that mentions Cecily's fate, he says "Long life was before all the others," so we get this side comments that form a picture as to what actually happens to these kids. The Story Girl, unlike a lot of LMM's other stories, is a memory.

For the other ask game: Felix Graham de Vanily=)
My son. Protect this boy at all costs. 💜💙💚

First impression:
A bad one, in all honesty. Felix’s debut episode introduces him as kind of a petty jerk, with no clear motivation and a disregard for consequences. Many people are still (understandably) pissed about the whole trying-to-kiss-Ladybug debacle (which, honestly, is not that surprising given the writers’, uh, WEIRD philosophy of consent), and it’s been detrimental to their appreciation of the character in the long run.
In retrospect, though. That introduction was brilliant in many other ways. I wrote about it here for those interested!

Impression now
A BABY. A baby created specifically to cater to my tastes, might I add. I’ve been wanting to make a list of all the reasons I love him, so here goes:
1. Huuuge Clive Dove vibes (complex antagonist, smartest character in the show, identity fraud enthusiast, willing to tear down oppressive power structures by force — they even share a sense of style)
2. Clear queer metaphor (more on that in another post from yours truly, which never showed up in the tags for some reason — Tumblr is homophobic)
3. (Implied EDIT: not implied anymore) abuse survivor
4. Growth! Between the aforementioned kissing fiasco and his talk with Kagami in Pretention, Felix has learnt to accept and respect boundaries. To me, this is key — the most important aspect of a character is not where they start, but how they evolve as the story progresses.
5. He has a complicated relationship with the adults in his life, but an immense love for his cousin/clone (although he sure has a strange way of showing it)
6. Quick to fall in love with a girl who can and will kick his butt. I mean, is anything more relatable than that?
7. The Greek mythology reference??? Hellooo???
8. Peacocks were my favourite bird growing up. One day I will tell you all the story of how one of them chased my father and I through a park when I was a toddler.
9. I also break into musical numbers in the midst of important tasks, just because I can. Perks of working from home most of the time.
10. Also, PURPLE. Can’t forget the purple.
Favorite moment
Him exchanging Ladybug’s yoyo against the Peacock Miraculous at the end of Strikeback. Her panicking in parallel really sold how monumental of a move this was.
Rule of thumb: if a character is smarter than everyone else in the room — especially if they’re an antagonist or morally grey figure outsmarting an abusive a**hole like Gabriel — there’s a strooong chance they’re going to be my favourite.

(POST-REPRESENTATION EDIT: Scratch that. It’s the lovely little heart on the lovely window to make his lovely girlfriend giggle. Sue me.)

Idea for a story
I’d love to see what Adrien and Felix were like growing up. It’s clear that their relationship means a lot to the both of them, and it would certainly add some depth to the Sentibeing storyline.
Tumblr media
Also, if I could change just one aspect of Felix’s arc, it would be to make him explicitely queer (the exact label doesn’t matter that much to me).
EDIT: I lied. This boy is transmasc and demi bi now. Deal with it.
Unpopular opinion
Maybe not exactly "unpopular" but rather "controversial", as the fandom seems to be pretty heavenly split on the matter: I really, really like (EDIT: LOVE ADORE WORSHIP) Feligami as of now.
I was quite worried over how the ship would play into Felix’s arc, but so far it’s been written so well it feels natural: of course the two queer-coded abuse survivors would be perfect for each other! It makes sense from a thematic and character-driven perspective.
Both kids bring something to the table. Felix hands Kagami the keys to her freedom; in turn, she keeps him in check when he’s being a jerk. Because we see them work so well together (and understand why they work so well together) almost immediately, Feligami doesn’t feel rushed like I feared it would; in fact, I find it quite refreshing after 5 seasons of whatever is going on with the Love Square.
Now here’s hoping the writing team keeps building their relationship into a strong, healthy one!
EDIT: AND THEY DID
Tumblr media
Favorite relationship
I love Felix and Amelie’s relationship so much. The fact that they both trust each other blindly warms my heart, especially now that we’ve learnt about the implied (EDIT: OH GOD NOT IMPLIED NOT IMPLIED AT ALL) abuse from Colt. They’re each other’s person.
Tumblr media
EDIT: While I still love love LOVE Amelie, Feligami and the Senticousins have definitely taken over my brain now. Also, give us some more Felix and Duusu crumbs pleaaaaaaase —
Favorite headcanon
Queer Felix! I especially like trans and ace headcanons.
