Background :
Rubi grew up in a small town with his family being reputable fortune tellers. His parents were endearing but his mother would be overprotective of him due to his naivety. Rubi would soon come to adopt their teachings, interested more in fate than the knowledge they could ever give. He had a problem with verbal communication, unsure of how to approach a conversation or begin one, so he was always left out in group activities and clubs but he found a better interest to turn his eyes towards.
He would always visit an old shipwreck a bit further from his town, surprised to see the wonderful relics and treasures that were buried deep under the floorboards and seaweed. Soon this would become a habit of his to constantly visit his treasure trove, ignoring any sort of danger whatsoever. He found a crystal orb that he would call a bubble instead. Using it as a tool for his growing fortune telling skills. What reflected in the orb was his dream, his future, to visit somewhere that isn’t the coral sea, seeing Night Raven College in the reflections. A big smile erupted on his face, hoping those dreams of his come true. He brings the bubble home intending to keep it and bring it along for his future journey.
Not long after he was hunted down by a shark that was lurking around the area, his tail fin was damaged in the process of swimming away from it but luckily nothing else was injured. Yet, his parents were distraught, afraid to lose their only child to predators that would hunt them down. Rubi tried to protest, wanting to see more than what he’s been living, but his mother wouldn’t allow it. Rubi wasn’t allowed to leave the town for a few years until he was accepted into NRC which his parents reluctantly let him go and wished him the best in his new journey.
Trivia :
• The name ‘Rubinus’ is latin for the word ‘ruby’ a bright red gemstone while hawthorn refers to the hawthorn fruit
• Rubi is based off a Ryukin goldfish
• He has a singular mole on his neck and two notable moles on his back
• Despite his human height, he considers himself to be shorter in his merform compared to other merfolk due to his family’s genetics of having a short stubby tail
• He had a damaged tail fin from getting an encounter with a shark when he was younger
• He has a secret area he would often go to for human treasures that fell into the sea
• Uses his crystal bubble to foresee upcoming predictions, though even he believes not everything seems set in stone
• Is interested in the wonders of astrology and fate
• Has a hobby of making ribbons and bows from his father and wears as much as he can on land
• His ribbon earring was a gift from his parents and a reminder of who he is
• Had a childhood crush on Azul but was too afraid to speak up to him
(( Hello!! Thank you for reading this! Recently started playing twst and I just really love the ocs made and decided to make one too! Hope Rubi can make some more friends here 🫶 ))

Amethyst: The birthstone of February
One of the most well-known gemstones in the world, amethyst has a long traditional representing February. Find out more below about amethyst and why this February birthstone is very special.
Tumblr media
Theories on why amethyst is selected to represent February
The true origin of how amethyst became the February birthstone is hard to trace, like many subjects in history. A common theory explains that in astrology, Aquarius (Jan 20th -Feb 18th) and Pisces (Fen 19th -Mar 20th) are zodiacs of February, both signs can be represented by purple and thus the association with amethyst.
Some propose the following theory and I like the poetic notion: February is a month of duality, already into the new year, yet still not completely waken from stupor of the previous. Still a cold winter month, yet there’s a hint of spring vibe in the air. Amethyst too is a symbol of duality, with purple being the perfect balance of red (hot) and blue (cold). Moreover, those who are February born trends to be dreamers and romanticist by heart. Needless to say, February 14th marks the famous St. Valentine’s Day. Purple itself is a romantic color full of imagination. In a metaphysical sense amethyst and February both embodies a mystical quality of duality, perhaps this is why they are forever tied together.
Tumblr media
A beloved gemstone for many reasons.
Whatever the real origin is, we can all be certain that amethyst is recognized as a powerful stone in the chakra field. Most believe amethyst is a great (if not the best) stone for protection against negative energy, also wonderful for cleansing. While crystal healing is another subject that deserves its own article, everyone can enjoy amethyst for the lovely shade of purple. Subtle and low-key, yet majestically vibrant.
Being a member of the quartz family amethyst is highly versatile and have a wide application in jewelry. Tough enough to be cut into many shapes plus good semi-transparency, this gemstone can be cut as beads, faceted stones, or simply in raw state. The cut has tremendous effect on the appearance: rich deep color as bead, bright and vibrant in faceted cut, and full of character in raw stone. All cuts of amethyst are uniquely beautiful in their own ways, which to choose is really a matter of personal preference.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
UNA, the minimalist design perfectly showcases beauty of amethyst
One of my favorite design is UNA set with amethyst. Personally I prefer amethyst in bead form. The rich deep purple offers a mystical and yet majestic feeling. My philosophy in jewelry design is always enhancing the natural beauty of gemstone as a goal. An abundance of design elements often overpowers the stone. However, if the design is too plain results can be bland and boring; lacking sophistication to ignite the passion of viewers. Simply put, a nice design does not need too much but need to be just enough. With the UNA set (comes in necklace and dangling earrings) a wave inspired form “wraps” around the amethyst bead, the bead is set with a post though the drilled hole, viewer can appreciate the stone at all angles: front, side, and the back. This “perfect balance” approach is best to showcase the beauty of amethyst.
Tumblr media
Purple would be considering somewhat a niche color, at lease in the fashion world. Definitely not as popular as black, white or blue; but those who love purple absolutely falls for it. Purple is a color for dreamers. Amethyst perfectly suits you if your birthday is within this month; or if you consider yourself a true romanticist and dreamer!

Amethyst (SN:PF5-C8XM) was created on Earth, initially 'planted' in the Prime Kindergarten shortly after the planet was targeted by the Gem Empire. However, for whatever reason, she didn't emerge on schedule with the other soldiers in the Kindergarten, instead emerging five hundred years later. Long after the colony was abandoned. This left her alone in the Kindergarten, unsure of her purpose.
Sometime after her emergence, she came in contact with the Crystal Gems and joined them. For thousands of years, she's been fighting to protect Earth...

The Beauty of Birthstone Necklaces: More Than Just
Jewelry has been an integral part of human culture for centuries. From ancient civilizations to modern times, people have adorned themselves with exquisite ornaments, each piece often carrying a special significance or story. Among the many types of jewelry available, birthstone necklaces stand out as unique and deeply personal pieces. These beautiful gems not only add a touch of elegance to your attire but also hold a special place in the hearts of those who wear them. In this blog, we will explore the beauty of birthstone necklaces and discover why they are more than just accessories.
A Glimpse into Birthstones
Birthstones are gemstones that are traditionally associated with each month of the year. The concept of birthstones has its roots in ancient history, dating back to the biblical era and the breastplate of Aaron, which was said to have 12 stones, each representing one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Over time, various cultures and civilizations developed their own lists of birthstones, attributing unique properties and significance to each one.
Today, the modern birthstone list, established by the American National Retail Jewelers Association in 1912, is widely accepted and recognized. Each month is assigned a specific gemstone, making it easy for individuals to choose a birthstone that aligns with their birth month.
Personalization and Meaning
What sets birthstone necklaces apart from other forms of jewellery is their deep personalization. Your birthstone is a symbol of your birth month, and as such, it carries a unique significance for you. The idea that a particular gemstone is meant to bring good luck, protection, or positive energies to the person born in that month is a beautiful and comforting concept.
Wearing your birthstone as a necklace not only adds a pop of colour to your outfit but also serves as a constant reminder of your identity, heritage, and the unique qualities associated with your birth month. It's a way to carry a piece of your personal story with you wherever you go.
A Connection to Nature
Birthstones are often associated with natural elements and the Earth's beauty. For example, the vibrant green of the emerald symbolises rebirth and renewal, much like the arrival of spring. The fiery red of the ruby represents love and passion, reminiscent of the intensity of the sun. By wearing a birthstone necklace, you can feel a stronger connection to nature and its ever-changing cycles.
Gifts with Thought and Care
Birthstone necklaces also make for thoughtful and meaningful gifts. When you give someone a necklace featuring their birthstone, you're not just offering them a piece of jewelry; you're giving them a token of your affection and consideration. It shows that you've taken the time to choose a gift that holds personal significance for them.
Furthermore, birthstone necklaces are versatile gifts suitable for various occasions. Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or simply a gesture of appreciation, a birthstone necklace can convey your sentiments in a truly special way.
Healing and Spiritual Properties
Many people believe that gemstones possess healing and spiritual properties. Birthstones, in particular, are thought to bring luck, protection, and positive energy to those who wear them. For example, amethyst, the birthstone for February, is associated with clarity of mind and inner peace. This belief in the metaphysical properties of birthstones adds another layer of significance to these gemstone necklaces.
Even if you don't subscribe to the idea of crystal healing, there's no denying the psychological boost that can come from wearing a beautiful gemstone necklace that holds personal meaning for you. The power of belief and positive associations should not be underestimated.
A Timeless Fashion Statement
While birthstone necklaces hold a special place in our hearts for their personal and symbolic value, they also shine as fashion statements. These necklaces are versatile and can be incorporated into a wide range of outfits, from casual to formal. Their elegance and timeless beauty make them suitable for any occasion.
Whether you choose a classic solitaire pendant or a more elaborate design featuring multiple birthstones, birthstone necklaces have the power to elevate your style and add a touch of sophistication to your appearance. They are equally at home with a little black dress as they are with a cozy sweater and jeans.
A Family Tradition
Birthstone necklaces can also become cherished family heirlooms. Passed down through generations, these necklaces carry not only the beauty of the gemstone but also the history and stories of your family. Each wearer adds their chapter to the necklace's narrative, creating a sense of continuity and connection across time.
Starting a tradition of gifting birthstone necklaces within your family can be a beautiful way to strengthen familial bonds and celebrate the unique qualities of each family member.
The Beauty of Birthstone Necklaces: More Than Just Accessories
In conclusion, birthstone necklaces are more than just accessories; they are expressions of identity, connections to nature, symbols of love and care, and timeless fashion statements. These beautiful gemstone necklaces hold a special place in our hearts, reminding us of the unique qualities associated with our birth month and offering a sense of personalization and meaning that few other pieces of jewelry can match.
Whether you wear your birthstone necklace daily or save it for special occasions, it will always be a source of beauty, comfort, and significance in your life. So, next time you put on your birthstone necklace, remember that you're not just adorning yourself with a piece of jewelry; you're wearing a piece of your own story, and that is truly something beautiful.

A brief introduction to Sugilite
Sugilite, scientific name sodium-lithium Osumi stone, the main component is Sugilite. A new type of ore discovered by a Japanese geologist in the 1960s, only found in China, South Africa and Japan.
Main ingredients
Sugilite is composed of many mineral elements, including potassium, sodium, iron, lithium, etc.; But its basic element combination is silicon oxide. Chemical formula: (K'Na)(Na"Fe)2(Li,Fe)Si12O30, belongs to the hexagonal crystal system, hardness: 5.5-6.5, density 2.74 (+0.05)g/cm 3.
Introduction to nature
The appearance is a variety of opaque shades of purple and purple-red, sometimes as deep as black, and its color is easy to deepen its brilliance due to long-term wear.
The beautiful purple color of different layers, coupled with different shades of color, makes the Sugilite stone covered with a layer of mysterious and cold color, the wave shape of the sterling silver frame, has a rough taste, and the color of the grain will change with the temperature shadow!
Sugilite, a large-scale Sugilite stone found in South Africa. It became a commercial variety in the 70s of the 20th century. The color of Sugilite stone is characteristic of deep blue, reddish-violet, and blue-violet, sometimes showing several different hues on color bands and spots. Sugilite stones are also often yellow-brown, light pink, and black, but these are rarely used in jewelry. Sugilite is generally translucent to opaque, and gem-grade Sugilite stone is bright translucent, similar to high-quality chalcedony, but difficult to obtain. Sugilite has a glassy to resinous luster (waxy luster) and gemstones are often embellished with black, brown and blue thread-like manganese-containing inclusions.
Sugilite, also known as the "Millennium Stone", is also the birthday lucky stone in February of the Gregorian calendar. Sugilite stone is a rare gemstone, known as the "national gemstone of South Africa", produced in the small rock beads of neonite syenite, the main component is silicon oxide, and contains potassium, sodium, iron, lithium and other metal elements. It was discovered in 1944 by a Japanese oil prospector, Mr. Kenichi Sugi, so it was named after him, but it was not until 1979, due to the collapse of part of the Wessel manganese mine, that the gem-quality Sugilite stone was discovered in South Africa. The total amount found at that time was about 5 tons, of which 360 kilograms could be used as gemstones.
The appearance is a variety of opaque shades of purple and fuchsia, or even deep to black, royal purple is the highest quality color, long-term wear can make the color brilliance brighter. The beautiful purple color of different layers, coupled with different shades, gives Sugilite stone a layer of mysterious and cool color, which is a very special gemstone.
As an emerging gemstone material in the jewelry market, its gem mineralogy is still blank in the research field, and through routine gemstone testing, it can be seen that the samples of Sugilite stone are aggregate jade, mostly blue, purple and brown, and the structure is delicate. Through electron probe and X-ray powder crystal diffraction analysis, the main mineral composition of the sample was thousine, and contained impurity minerals such as sodalite, neonite, quartz and so on.

#129: Ella, the Frog Princess— October 15, 2013
Rippit, rippit, rippit!
If there is one thing stitchers fear, it is a visit from the frog. But what if things are not always as they seem? Perhaps inside this diminutive creature lies a secret: the satisfaction of a perfectly stitched piece, the realization of a hope or dream fulfilled, or even a dashing and handsome prince. Bedecked in a three-tiered buttercream confection, festooned with fresh flowers and sparkling with gemstones, Ella stands poised to choose her future. Will she kiss the frog? Ella’s smile says “yes.”
Susan Redington Bobby
#130: Biancabella— December 15, 2013
In honor of her mother who stitched in the palace orchard, Biancabella visits the place where her mother once pricked her finger and made a wish. Her heart’s desire was to be granted a lovely daughter with skin as white as the fragrant snowdrops at her feet, hair as black as the friendly raven who perched above, and lips as red as the crisp apples that hung from the branches around her.
Dressed to celebrate her birthday in a stunning robin’s egg blue gown trimmed with royal purple and embellished with fine ribbons and lace, she holds the last apple of the season aloft, admiring its succulent scent, wondering if it possesses the power to bring her a true love in spring.

Sailor Moon logo found here:
http://fav.me/d2y9dks
I’ve been in a big Sailor Moon mood again, so I figured... Kikumi has an odango hairstyle, so why not give her a sailor senshi form? And that’s exactly what you see here!
I figured that Kikumi would act as the Sailor Moon of the universe being she’s the reigning queen in her canon story. Part of me wants to put her as Pluto, but given I worked hard to make the backstory idea already, that' won't happen lol. Below is that very background for this AU of Kikumi~
About the Girl
Name: Kikumi Kakome Name Meaning: Beautiful Enclosure Nickname: Kiku-san Age: 19 Birthday: February 11 Eyes: Sea-foam Green Hair: Pastel/Power Purple Skin: Pale white Height: 150cm // 4'11" Weight: 110-lbs // 49-kg Build: Slender with a slight pear shape at the hips Distinguishing Marks or Traits: She has two odango buns accompanied by fluffy hip-length pigtails with two little curls at the tips. A stoic demeanor that makes her appear almost without emotions. She's not a great talker, and usually is considered the most silent among the senshi, speaking only if needed. She has a terrific marksmanship, and is known to never miss the spot. It happened only once in her life, when she was on summer break just before entering the 9th grade. She was in her family's backyard, ready to shoot her arrow, when all of sudden she saw a vision of a crystal palace with it's queen dreamily gazing at the starry sky, singing to herself, in perfect peacefulness. Kikumi's reflexes faltered due to the vision startling her, and she let the arrow loose. At first it appeared to hit the queen, but it was at that moment the vision was interrupted and melted away, the arrow really piercing the old willow in the yard rather than the target dummy. Blood Type: B Sun Sign: Aquarius Gemstone: Pearl Likes: Small creatures, ivy plants, coffee, finches, soft colors, bow and arrows, daggers, magic, and deer. Dislikes: Bees, overly-happy events, dying roses, bananas, chicken nuggets, and carrot cake. Strongest Subject: History Weakest Subject: Mathematics Strong Points: Her loyalty and sense of honor are her major traits. When she commits herself to someone, she is bound by her loyalty to be with them, and when given her word of honor, she would do everything in her power to keep up to her word. Has Trouble With: Kikumi is not really a romantic at heart, but she really hopes to find the way to put the pieces of her heart back together again. She doesn't quite know why she has become bitter and sullen toward people, wondering if it has anything to do with the strange pull towards the moon and forests she's been feeling, and hopes to gain back her ability to trust others as she used to. She also hopes to find the true reason for the timeless battled between the Peace and Chaos Seeds. Dream: A quiet, peaceful life in which she can be free from worry as she tends to a flower garden beneath a willow tree in the backyard of a cottage. Personal History: Kikumi grew up in the Shinigashi Prefecture of Japan and is a senior student at Geisho Academy, a public school for the gifted. She's sits at the top of her archery and history classes, but her rankings in mathematics fall short. She didn't haven't much in regards to friends throughout her time at Geisho Academy, not until she discovered herself to be a sailor senshi. She always stuck to herself, and she preferred things that way.
About the Senshi
Sailor Name: Sailor Artemis, the Sailor of the Hunt Realm of Influence: The Silent Forest Transformation Phrase: "Huntress Power, Make-Up!" Transformation Item: Crystal transformation pen with the tree of life engrave into the crystal. Symbol: Fleur-De-Lis ( ⚜ ) Outfit: A white sailor bodice, a tan corset, pink bows, a dark magenta brooch, and dark greyish pink for her sailor collar, skirt, choker, and trim of her gloves. Weapons: Glass Bow of the Stag Prince Fighting Style: Due to her dexterity in Archery, her favorite fighting style is long distance and mostly a defensive one (she tries not to attack first, if she can avoid it). First Attack Name: Willow's Grip (Offensive) First Attack Appearance: The enemy is tightly bound by the leafy branches of a weeping willow, coiling ever tighter as they squirm and eventually begins to drain their energy. This attack comes from Artemis holding a leaf to her lips and then throwing it towards the enemy at high velocity. Second Attack Name: Maple Rush (Defensive) Second Attack Appearance: Creates a temporary vision obstruction caused by thousands of falling maple leaves that allow for the senshi using this attack or her team to avoid an enemy attack. Third Attack Name: Forest's Embrace (Offensive) Third Attack Appearance: A silver arrow with leafy vines wrapping around it is fired at the enemy, encasing them in a moss-like shell to purify and remove all traces of Chaos' influences. Sailor History: Artemis was destined to be the next girl chosen to take up the mantle of Sailor Moon, being the child of Usagi Small Lady Serenity and Lord Helios. She spent most of her time in the Dream Forest that the Amazon Trio protected, with Hawks-eye being her favorite. The peaceful times of Neo Crystal Tokyo would not last, however, as the Pink Rose Crystal's pure, hopeful energy soon began to draw attention to the newly formed Seeds of Chaos, causing a long ended cycle to begin once more. Small Lady and her Asteroid Scouts did their best to fend off the enemy attacks, but once the Golden Crystal was shattered and her soldiers bodies scattered among the burning forests of the kingdom, she used the last bit of her strength to call upon the Pink Rose Crystal and reset the timeline. The Star Seeds of both the Inner Planets and the Outer Planets were sent far off into the future, along the the Star Seed of her daughter, Artemis. With Sailor Cosmos fading into history, it was Small Lady's only hope. The timeline diverged from there, and a new history began. Now reincarnated in 70th Century Tokyo, Kikumi lives as a normal girl. Without the memories of her past, it wasn't until a strange fawn began showing up that the pages of her story started to turn. She unlocked her senshi abilities soon after a resurgence of the Black Moon began. With her newfound abilities, Kikumi stood up to fight against the evil that surfaced. In time, more fighters were discovered and would become her allies against the Neo Black Moon and the threat that would follower known as the Blacklights. She would later go on to be ruler of the 80th Century with her own kingdom known as Elysion. Many hardships and losses would come before that time, however, all of which would bring the Elysion Senshi closer than the last. They are determined to break the cycle of the endless fight between Peace and Chaos, whatever the cost. Mission: Her main mission is to end the cycle between Peace and Chaos, a fight that has continued despite the efforts made by the 20th & 30th Century scouts. She feels she's bound to find a way to bring back the peace between the two sides of creation and reunite what was once One, in order to restore the equilibrium of the galaxy.

My gosh, like about freaking time i share some art! TwT
And also about time i show my gemsona along with my friend's @kehnachan gemsona. As you can see, i am a Garnet and my friend kehna is a Amethyst. I choosed to be a garnet since i was born in january and it's my gemstone. Kehna is an Amethys cuz her birthday is in February. Now for some info! Kehna is a very timid shy crystal gem who is mostly scared in fighting, but her boyfriend who is a sapphire, has been teaching her how to fight and also protecting her from harm. As for me, as a garnet, my origin took place during the flashback of the ep "the answer". Where another pair of a ruby and a sapphire who got shocked but yet amazed when Garnet (the show's Garnet) was fused for the first time. After that, the other ruby and sapphire even ran away and also became a garnet fusion (me! ^^) to join the crystal gems :3
I'll add more info about our backstories some other time. For now, i so wanna color this! As you can see, I'm carrying kehna away from a random battle (probably the crystal gems trying to poof a curroupted gem) cuz i know that she is still pretty scared to fight. I'm like a big sister to her XD
