hello! this is very hopeful thinking, but i'd rather give it a try than not. i used to use twitter several years ago, and was mutuals with quite a few fellow elezen players. the decline of twitter forced people to move to other places, and it's been two-ish years since i withdrew from my profile. i stayed off social media for awhile, but i'm checking out tumblr again, which happens to be a completely different platform from all of those connections. attached are the two elezen of mine i posted about the most, and are old photos that were posted on the account back then. if you recognise them, please do comment, send me a message, or follow me. despite my choice to stop posting, losing all of my old final fantasy mutuals, friends, and people i had played with wasn't entirely something i'd planned. i also enjoyed attending elezen art parties and all-elezen content runs. i'd be so happy if i could get in touch with anyone again.

Come try Shroudrose’s specialty blends of tea! Enjoy a cup in our tearooms on the main floor and second floor (including our far eastern themed rooms), or purchase some loose-leaf to brew at home! You can always cozy up in our library to read or get some work done while you enjoy a cuppa. Snacks and treats will be available to compliment your tea.

This event is bi-weekly at 7:00 PM eastern time the first Monday and third Monday of each month (and fifth Monday, if applicable).

FFXIV Forum

Fuck it, let's try again.

Some time ago I created a forum that didn't stay lively for very long, unfortunately, but I don't want to give up on it as I think forums offer something that no other tool for online community can offer: an actual community that doesn't rely on everyone acting like their own PR/marketing team.

So here it is, in case anyone's interested:

What does it have to offer?

A place to meet artists and roleplayers from the FFXIV fandom, where you won't be assailed by notifications like a Discord server, that's LGBTQ-friendly and won't ask you to post all the time to remain visible (contrary to social media).

What you'll find:

RP sections for your RP threads, easier to manage than on Tumblr, and without the pressure of being seen online on Discord because you wanted to talk to your friends but aren't in the mood for RP

A place to get help to create your character or write an NPC, if you're feeling insecure and want to try your hand at writing/roleplaying

Galleries for your writing, fanarts, screenshots, irl craft, etc. where you don't have to worry about peak hours to be seen

Forums where you can gush about your own characters and get asked questions: no need to have a big following anymore!

A place where you can discuss the lore and share your meta analysis to your heart content

A place to organize your own in-game event and promote it, once again without needing to build a big enough following for it to be noticed!

Yes, there's a NSFW section (that you have to ask to get access to). Forumactif—the host—is not in favor of this, however, so if Etheirys has enough success I might consider hosting it myself (but I'm not rich so we'll start with the free alternative for now and just keep it on the low XD)

I am taking suggestions to improve it and I'll gladly help you and answer your questions if you're not familiar with forums (or this sort of forums, anyways).

For those who don't know me or find me intimidating to talk to (I know it has happened) I've been leading communities big and small for about 18 years now, and I've always put a big emphasis on fairness, communication and patience.

A tudor house for Eikko.

I was asked to make a tudor home for Eikko, who is an amazing designer and really funny and wholesome person, so I was more than happy to try! She was so patient with me, this one took over 6 months to make due to life things.

I'm actually a bit jealous of the final design because I was able to make so much space in a large, compared to my own personal house, and even got to make a stairwell AND hallway! It was really nice to build with slanted walls and try and make the traditional tudor structure we're familiar with when it comes to the beams and ceilings.

Eikko specifically wanted a dining nook and I think it's one of my favorite spots in the build. The last thing I built was the hallway bench so it might look a little clunky, but I wanted to see what I could make with limited slots left lol

Several of you probably remember this sundrop bombshell from years back. In fact, many of you have asked if I'd ever bring her back. Well, going into Dawntrail finally feels like the right time to breathe some new life into this character, so consider this her official return.

If you don't know her, I'd like to introduce you to my lynx inspired surf brat, X'issi ( shee • ee • see ) Sunde ( soon • dae ). Part of the coastal Lynx Tribe of La Noscea, she's lived almost her entire life in and around the isle. With an affinity for water and water related magics this woman is sure to win you over with her sunny charms and can-do attitude.

I have a lot of lore for this character, including tribal lore that I'll have to figure out how to organize into spaced out doses for you all to consume. Because when I say its a lot, I mean it is a LOT of lore. I used to write this girl like crazy back in Heavensward days.

But for now, here's some important bullet points for her character...

Owns her own Surf Shack where you can buy boards she's made and her own board wax. Naturally she also does board repairs.

Up before dawn to relay the morning surf report for Costa del Sol.

Surf and swim instructor - Side hustle - mostly for tourists.

Sight Seer and Expedition guide - another side hustle - also mostly for tourists.

Water Dancer, but not like the XIV job. Dance is intrinsic to her tribe lore which is very Polynesian islander influenced.

Part of a tribe who prays to both Llymlaen and Oschon. Tribe is somewhat nomadic. Lives on the shores in the warmer months, and moves inland in the cooler months. (also reflects their dieties)

Has a way with water magic... kinda like a waterbender? I'll take more time to explore this with you guys later. But I will admit its strongly waterbending influenced.

Has a baby raptor companion named Thunk who is an absolute MENACE. ...But we love him.

She absolutely loves fishing.

I updated my house! I mentioned this in a previous post, but I’ve been playing through the original Final Fantasy 7 and I was feeling so inspired at seeing Aeris’ house once again. I love the dark woods, and how her kitchen was enclosed. I wanted to capture something similar to that.

I divided up the house into two different colors. A more somber and moody part for the living room and reading nook, and a more bright and lively space for the kitchen. Most of my activity in real life is done in the kitchen, and making food is my love language, so I wanted to emphasize that with this house remodel.

So I just got twitter to follow FF14 stuff....... And then they blew up twitter.... So it's finally time to use this thing. Originally it was going to be for fiction that I just never gotten around to write because anxiety and all. But, I think I'll use this as an all-purpose FFXIV account now. I know there's nothing here yet, but please Like this post so I can follow you or something, so I can get a cool FFXIV dashboard going. What to expect on miqotravels: I (would [should]) write.
