Safety First: Precautions When Exercising After Chiropractic Care
When starting an exercise routine after chiropractic treatment, it's essential to be careful. It's best to begin the prescribed exercises slowly to give your body time to adjust to new movements. Some exercises involved simple stretches for 30-60 seconds, while other advanced exercises might take 60-90 minutes with a focus on building stronger muscles. The period of time depends on the extent of your injury, knowledge of any pre-existing health conditions, and what daily activities your body can handle.
As you progress, listen to your body. The goal is to implement a training regimen with beneficial exercises personalized to your needs. Recognizing signs of strain early can prevent further complications and reduce the risk of injury. Remember, pain is not a badge of honor; working through it can be detrimental; allow yourself rest days, especially if you've just had a chiropractic adjustment or you're recovering from injuries.
Before diving into any new exercise, it's wise to consult with your chiropractor. Their guidance can ensure your activities align with your recovery goals and don't counteract the benefits of your adjustments.

‏‎Also check @lossmorewighet . Here’s EVERYTHING you need for weight loss... - The more of this you implement into your life, the closer you’ll get to your weight loss goals. - - NUTRITION - ✅ Calorie deficit. This is NON-negotiable. Take your target weight in lb and multiply by 12. Eat that many calories per day. - ✅ 80% nutritious, 20% less nutritious food. The 80% fuels exercise, fuels recovery, and makes you feel “healthy”. The 20% keeps you sane and lets you be social. - ✅ Protein with every meal. Protein reduces appetite and preserves lean muscle. Aim for 1g protein per lb of your target bodyweight. - - TRAINING - ✅ Strength train, 2-4x per week. During this pandemic, basic bodyweight workouts are fine. It’ll ensure you don’t lose muscle while losing weight - basically, you keep your shape and don’t end up looking skinny-fat. - ✅ Cardio, 1-2x per week for 30-60 minutes. DON’T track the calories burned; just work hard. DO NOT RELY ON CARDIO FOR WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS. - - N.E.A.T. - Do more of the following 6-7x a week to burn a few more calories: - ✅ go on walks, aiming for 7K+ steps per day - ✅ take the stairs - ✅ leave your car at home - ✅ do yard work - ✅ get a standing desk - ✅ go hiking - - RECOVERY - ✅ 7+ hours’ sleep nightly. Adequate sleep balances out hunger hormones and allows you to recover from exercise. - ✅ 2-4L water daily. For better gym performance and hunger control. - ✅ Massage: 1-2x per month. - ✅ Yoga (or stretching) 1+ per week. - ✅ Meditate. 1+ minutes daily. - ✅ Foam roll. Daily is fine. This is a very budget-friendly form of massage. - - Please feel free to SHARE this post if you found it helpful. - #rosentrain #weightlossguide #fatlossguide #weightloss101 #howtoloseweight #cheatsheet #caloriedeficit #exerciserecovery #recoveryprotocol #fatlosstip #fatlosstips #howtolosefat #workoutforweightloss #weightlosscommunity #proteinintake #flexibleeating #flexiblediet #flexibledieter #strengthtrainingforfatloss #weightlosshelp #weightlossadvice #fatlosshelp #fatlossadvice #weightlosscheatsheet #weightlosstip #weightlosstips #nonexerciseactivitythermogenesis #nutritiontip‎‏ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGzuUwRAHqZ/?igshid=1garlr8w1kj79

Today’s workout was about cranking up the resistance and going slow (focused on core, balance, flexibility and getting stronger). We are huge fans of using socks because you can curl your toes and really engage your feet:-) Have an amazing day! #excy #health #handcycle #handbike #motivation #fitfam #obesity #injury #dedication #exerciserecovery #exercisetherapy #exerciseismedicine #progress #hardwork #limitless #nolimits #onlypossibilities #therapy #physicaltherapy #sportsmedicine #strength #nothingisimpossible #workout #goals #fitspo #handbike #handcycle #functionaltraining #functionalfitness #strengthtraining #resistancetraining #balance

Malic acid increases energy stores and improves recovery during restful states and sleep by playing a vital role in the Krebs Cycle for ATP energy formation. It’s also used to enhance muscle performance, decrease pain from tissue damage as a result of training, and speeds up recovery time. If you’ve eaten rhubarb before, you are familiar with malic acid as it gives rhubarb that distinctly tart taste. However Mend capsules aren’t tart. When combined in a nootropic blend like Mend, malic acid improves metabolism and increases absorption and effects of other nootropics. Those who suffer from fibromyalgia pain can reduce symptoms by supplementing their diet with malic acid. … Link goo.gl/VH2X1W for more on Malic Acid (at New York, New York)

When the workout is challenging it’s the nutrition after the training and stretching that is equally important if not more so since I want my muscles to be well fed so they can recover quickly. #howaboutyou #gymnastics @motionnutrition @rawsport @myprotein #exerciserecovery #gymnastics #calisthenics https://www.instagram.com/p/BpkzzVaHwe1/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mkimowo6j7x2

@runlikeagirl_leamington ・・・ 5 days until my next #ultramarathon and I’m enjoying my taper knowing that I’ve put in some decent graft for Saturday’s 50 miler. Where I continuously let myself down is looking after my muscles.. I really don’t give enough back to my body after asking so much of it. It’s no secret that my recovery routine needs some work.. so much so that even my physio has told me I wouldn’t need him if just stretched and foam rollered regularly 😬🤔 So when @rollgahealth sent me these products to try out, I took it as a sign from the universe to stop being so lame with my recovery. Full product review on my blog at www.laurengregorypt.com but in summary, the @rollgahealth foam roller is far superior to any other I’ve tried and gets into areas that others can’t... so here’s hoping I’ve finally established a good recovery routine 🤞🏼🙏🏼 Use code RLAG20 to knock off the UK shipping fee (£15.. these guys are in America) #rollga #rollgahealth #foamroller #foamrollering #recovery #exerciserecovery #injuryprevention #injurymanagement #injuryrehab #sportsmassage #fitpro #ultrarunner #injury #recovery #blogger #blog #productreview #productreviewer #producttesting #producttester (at United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnyTfNNFM7X/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ett2xxwsary9

Stephen posted a video to Instagram: I’ve been experimenting with nasal breathing lately. During today’s workout, I found this really effective in setting an appropriate pace to keep moving throughout the whole piece, and completed the metcon portion of my workout within the suggested time frame. Imagine yourself exercising: running, hiking, dancing, lifting weights — whatever you like to do. Picture yourself pushing to a maximum intensity. Now, ask yourself: Are you breathing out of your nose or mouth? You may not know the answer right now, but it would be interesting to be aware of next time. Nasal breathing  helps with our respiratory system. Another advantage is that it can allow more oxygen to get to active tissues which helps our performance. Mouth breathing isn’t as effective because our cells are not getting as much oxygen as they may need, which could lead to fatigue and stress and can affect how well we recover. Keen to try?  Start small in order to give your body an opportunity to adapt.  Try it during your warm ups/cooldowns consistently before trying it during a training session. Give it a go and be mindful of what you notice!😊 “Breath is the link between the mind and the body #nasalbreathing #breath #exerciserecovery #performance #bodyawareness https://ift.tt/32zyRIH
