Since Mohamed Diab wanted to push for better Egypt/Egyptian representation in mainstream media when he was brought on for “Moon Knight”, I like to think that he went through the Marvel wiki in order to find an Egyptian superhero to adapt. Who he found was the Scarlet Scarab, this super obscure character that only appeared in five issues (and as a villain, which is not a good look).

Instead of being discouraged by the character’s obscurity, he just nodded his head and said, “Well, at least there’s something I can work with.”

To all my Arabic lovelies out there, I tried my best to put out a 100% Arabic playlist (mostly Egyptian, I think. correct me if I’m wrong) because it’s such a big deal to have this OBVIOUSLY Arabic badass character represented in Marvel.
