I do know if I'm doing reverse Matt should be older but by the time I realized by mistake I was too far in so just ignore that.-

My reverse Robins AU story

Terry and Matt were originally created due to a super soldier program. That the government used Batman's DNA for. Bruce found them and they were the original children taken in. Matt is the original one to create the title of shadow. He shares it with Terry.

Anastasia was created the normal way through Talia and Bruce, Alexandria was a biological experiment to be a backup heir. Alex and Matt call each other twins due to being born two weeks apart. Anastasia had already gone on League missions so she had a harder time conforming to the rules but she is very close with Terry while Alex had not gone on any League missions but did have the training. Anastasia goes by the name Viper which was her League name then it turned into her hero name but she later went back to being an assassin after she killed Joker for Stephanie and got into a fight with her father. Alex shares the name shadow with Matt after Terry takes the name batwing.

Selena got into a lot of trouble and needed to give Helena to Bruce. Bruce only has sole custody for about a year and a half before they do split custody once everything is settled. Helena takes the name Stray to honor her mother. Helena is originally a hero with the rest of her siblings But becomes a thief like her mother after she separates from the family when Stephanie dies due to grief. she does come back.

Carrie is a child vigilante inspired by shadow. She is not adopted until she is 16 when her guardian dies in a car accident. She ends up being quite close with Terry, Helena and Anastasia.

Tim and Stephanie are friends with Matt and Alex. They go to Gotham Academy together.They are introduced to vigilante life due to a kidnapping accident involving the four. Stephanie still takes the name spoiler and Tim ends up using the mantle shadow when Alex is injured. Stephanie ends up being the one that dies and Tim was tortured to be Joker junior not even a week after she was killed. due to the torture Tim is wheelchair-bound. Stephanie's death causes a major Rift in the family which leads to Terry, Helena and Anastasia not talking to Bruce. Matt still talks to Bruce but he ends up moving to bludhaven at 17 while Alex stays at the Manor to take care of Cass while Bruce is grieving.Due to Alex being the only one at the Manor She ends up being close to Tim(which I specifically wrote in to be ironic)The League of Assassins do resurrect Stephanie though there is no big reveal due to the fact that Anastasia is working with her mother when Stephanie is Resurrected though she was not in on the resurrection. Stephanie comes back to be red hood and feels detached from the family due to Bruce Kicking Anastasia out for the Joker's death. Tim ends up taking the name Oracle to help Anastasia due to their not being as many vigilantes in Gotham then there was before Stephanie died due to the big fight.

Cassandra has her usual backstory but she's brought into the family before Stephanie is killed. Cassandra ends up taking the name Secret due to her secretly following Batman and the rest of the vigilantes on patrol before she was adopted into the family.

Bruce ends up fostering Duke after failing to save his parents from a joker attack and takes him in due to guilt. Duke is the first one to be taken in after Stephanie's death so there are a lot of funny interactions with him having no idea how the family was before and meeting the older siblings. Duke later finds out about Bruce being Batman and the rest of the vigilantes being his children then takes on the name Signal.

Jason is taken in the same way as before hitting Bruce with the tire iron and everything. Jason ends up being shadow and also being the only Shadow to work Solo due to their usually being two Shadows. Jason is the one that ends up bringing Bruce back from being Lost in Time.

Richard is taken in the same way as well. Richard ends up taking the name Robin to honor his parents instead of the name shadow.Richard is taken in for about half a year before Batman has lost in time.Richard feels very cursed with losing parental figures back to back but he does end up getting very close to Alexandria before Batman comes back.

Barbara becomes friends with Richard at school and later goes out as Batgirl.

Fruits of knowledge

What if the fall of man was all completely by accident? All caused by a hungry fruit bat demon. All he wanted was a little nip. Not his fault they were curious! Just don't tell hell! In my Reverse AU Aziraphale is a demon by the name of Zaffre, and Crowley is a Seraph who just loves the Earth.

The day should have been a nice one. It started one as most would think, but it all came down to one demon. And an accident.

It actually begins with an apple. One that only ended up with a single bite in it, as the being who took that bite, found it rather bitter.

“Bleh.” The being, a demon by the name of Zaffre, frowned at the bright red apple in his hand. The bite had revealed bright pink flesh on the inside. “Honestly, what is so important about this tree if all the fruit is just unpleasant?”

Zaffre shrugged and tossed the apple into a nearby bush, turning to look for a different, sweeter fruit. He ran his hand through his hair absentmindedly. He certainly wasn’t the most observant demon since his fall. As he walked off, a slender hand reached through the bush to extract the fallen apple.

...

Of course, as always, all good things must come to an end. When the guardian of Eden, a Seraph by the name of Raphael found the core of one unusual apple, he knew things were going to go south. He heard thunder in the distance. He turned his bright golden eyes up at the sky that, for the first time in creation, was filling with dark clouds. Right. Would probably be the best to find the humans. He stowed the core into a pocket and took to the sky. He had to find the humans, and quick.

He found them huddled in a bush, full of fear and avoiding each other’s gazes. Drat. That means that it WAS them that ate the forbidden apple, not the sneaky demon he knew to be lurking within the garden; he had caught sight of the unusual creature, a rather large, white bat, and had hoped it was the culprit. Unfortunately not. He sighed. Well the damage was done, best help them before they get into any more trouble.

....

Raphael watched as the humans made their way out to the wasteland beyond. He could not help but feel sorry for them, wishing there was something he could do to help, more than the makeshift clothing he created for them. Especially since he woman was already expecting.

“....sour grapes.”

The voice next to him snapped him from his thoughts, which was a really good thing as he was really tempted to perform a miracle or something to help them. He turned to his left to see a demon, the one he had seen flying around Eden the past day. The demon had large, white, bat-like wings, and contrast to his own white robes, wore black robes, He knew he should do something about this demon, it would be the proper thing to do, but something about him was... well not like the angels who fell from the rebellion. He cleared his throat.

“Sorry, what was that?”

The demon crossed his arms and turned towards him Raphael noted his eyes were almost completely black. “I said ‘that was a bunch of sour grapes.’”

The angel had no idea what to make of what he said, but he let it pass. The demon tilted his head as he looked out in the distance.

“Kind of obvious if you think about it. Big fruit tree in the middle of the garden, surrounded by other fruit trees, with a big old ‘don’t touch sign’? Why not put it somewhere out of the way? Less likely to get eaten accidentally like....”

The demon suddenly went quiet, eyes widened.

It took Raphael a full minute to realize what just happened.

“Wait, what? What do you mean accidentally?”

Zaffre felt his cheeks flush as he avoided the angel’s gaze. “It was unintentional that she got the apple. I dropped it, and she picked it up.”

Raphael couldn’t believe it. The whole thing was just an accident?

“You’d think the Almighty would know that. Makes you wonder what the Almighty’s really planning.” Zaffre wrinkled his nose.

The Seraph fluttered his crown wings idly in thought. There was something about this demon, he was very unusual, considering it seemed he felt SORRY for the humans fall from grace. He cleared his throat. “Well, it’s best not to speculate....”

The demon looked over at the angel who had paused expectantly. “Zaffre.”

Raphael smiled. That was an interesting name, certainly not an angelic names. Perhaps the angels that fell from the rebellion all got new names? He introduced himself as well.

They stood in silence for the moment, watching as the humans managed to build a camp. When it started to rain, Raphael went to lift his wing to shield his new friend, only to be surprised by Zaffre shielding him with HIS wings. His golden eyes widened in shock. The demon avoided his gaze, but from this proximity the angel could see his face clearly. Rather than black, his eyes were a deep blue, and there was a smattering of freckles across his blushing face. He felt his own face flush, and had to fight the instinct to cover his face with his crowns Instead, he de-summoned his wings to allow himself to fit under the membranous wing better, instead of crowding the poor demon. He looked into the distance as the sun started to set, for the first time. He couldn’t help but wonder, what this new friendship would entail. Only time would tell.

Since everyone and their Dog was doing Reverse Omens, I decided to try my hand at it too. The gimmick? They’re lesbians. One day I realised that I hadn’t seen a lot of female presenting Reverse Omens AUs, which gave me the idea I needed to get started; the rest just sort of happened. These things are supposed to be all about projection, right?

I’ve been calling them the Reverse Lesbians because “Reverse Omens, but they’re lesbians” seemed a bit long

Anyway, meet Israfil the nature loving lesbian and her big titty goth gf Zahira (Zaïre, usually, but it’s a pain to type on my laptop). Some key points:

I’m taking Israfil to be another name for Raphael because I like that headcanon but didn’t want to be, like, obvious about it

Israfil is still genderfluid but with a tendency to go female more often

Israfil/Raphael became male coded after some vital appearances happened during male presenting times so she began needing another name to blend in as a woman, so, Antonia

Zahira is a bat demon, with all that that entails, including bad vision in daylight

Zahira would be considered legally blind if she ever cared to get tested, partly because the tests aren’t designed for her eyes

She can see well enough in low light conditions (like dusk) so she tends to stick to darker places

Reading is still difficult though, particularly with small letters

She owns a record shop, which she got as soon as recordings became widely available

She still loves books

Israfil invented audiobooks

Her eyes are all black but she doesn’t bother hiding them in modern times because sclera lenses exist and she already dresses like someone who’d wear them on the regular

Israfil was still the one to tempt Eve into trying the apple (you ask one question...) and Zahira stole the flaming sword (that Israfil didn’t care about but got anyway, they had some extras) to give to them in a fit of compassion that would turn out to be a lot less rare than was entirely proper for a demon

This resulted in an early form of the Arrangement when Israfil, who didn’t particularly want to Fall, and Zahira, who was rather embarrassed at having positive feelings back then, decided to take credit for each other’s deeds

At the surface level, neither behaves according to expectation

Zahira is calm, and pleasant, and likes to show minor kindnesses. This is partly because she likes being on good terms with people and partly because she knows that you catch more flies with honey

Israfil is awkward; she struggles between the desire to look cool and not caring about the opinion of some assholes. Goes in for large gestures over small ones. Doing her best with non-profits

Both are actually very good at their jobs

They’re still wary of their respective Head Offices but getting away with that first lie in Eden does raise their confidence enough to manage some rebellions

They still don’t get together until after the Apocal-oops because they have their canon amount of brain cells, which is one (1) (Zahira keeps it in a vault so as not to lose it)

This was supposed to be a lot shorter than this but I’m passionate

Reverse Omens AU - The Players

Okay, so I’ve got some of the bare bones details down. These might change, they might not, but I do like them so I wanted to share. I’m still trying to get a feel for their characterizations, but that might come when I actually start writing.

Azero, A Fruit Bat Demon

Owns the Tree of Knowledge, a cavernous, two story bookshop in Soho. Prices here are unreal. You can get a whole library worth of books for pennies if you hit the right day. It’s like he’s giving it away! (Curiously, the shop never seems to need restocking.)

There’s a huge tree in the middle of the shop that no one knows is real. The branches are part of the architecture, the topmost of which appear to be grown directly into the ceiling. If you time it right, you’ll walk in and find a rather large flying fox roosting from one of the branches. It does not appear bothered by you.

Eats fruits almost exclusively, but won’t say no to delicious veggies, nuts, grains, etc. Not terribly fond of meat. Figs are the best. Bananas, not so much.

In the Fall, his wings were transformed from angel wings to bat wings. In his human form, fully stretched, they reach a wingspan of approximately 15 feet (4.6 m).

Wears a fedora most of the time to shade his gold-brown eyes which, like most bats, are sensitive to bright lights. (Also because he thinks it looks cool and he knows it makes some people mad.) He sees best in the in between hours, dawn and dusk, but can see fairly well at night time.

Had a torrid whirlwind romance with 19th century French zoologist, Claude Jourdan, who went on to name an entire genus of megabats after his demon lover (Acerodon).

Anton Crowley (Antius), An Authority

Helped shaped the cosmos and spent the time before Earth’s creation monitoring their movements.

During The Rebellion, he was assigned to Michael’s division and issued armor, a helmet, and a wicked spear. He still has all 3, though he hates wearing them.

By a stroke of dumb luck, he actually landed the decisive blow that sent Lucifer careening down into the Pit. Most Christian iconography wrongly credits Michael with this feat. Crowley is still pissed about it.

After The Rebellion, he was reassigned to casting any wayward evil spirits back into Hell. He hates this job. He answers directly to Michael.

After the Guardian of the Eastern Gate failed to protect Adam and Eve from demonic influence (*cough*Azero*cough*), Antius is dispatched to oust the demon from Eden. He decides not to smite him, let’s him go instead. This would turn out to be quite a pivotal moment for him.

Changed his name to Anton sometime during the height of Roman Empire because he liked it. (Really, everyone kept getting it wrong anyway.) He added the surname Crowley sometime in the 11th century AD.

Owns a PYO (Pick Your Own) Farm just on the northern edge of London. People often remark that he has the best fruits for each season no matter the weather conditions. How does he do it? Also teaches astronomy part-time at the University of Cambridge. Mostly because they let him use their telescopes to check in on his babies swirling around in space.

I have more ideas for my reverse Robins AU.(Most ideas are about Alex)

I have split the bat kids into groups in my head

terry, helena, Anastasia and Carrie - older siblings

matt, alex, Steph and Tim -middle siblings

duke, cass and Jason -younger siblings

Richard and Barbara -baby siblings

The groups that I usually followed my head for who they are the closest to

I have somehow given Alex eldest daughter syndrome due to her ending up taking care of her younger siblings.

Stephanie, Tim, Alex and Matt originally met due to Stephanie starting a brawl with a bully that had a lot of kids involved, they became friends in the principal's office.

Tim was taken with Stephanie by the joker but was the last one to know that she died.

Tim was still missing when Anastasia killed the Joker and when the big fight happened. He ended up being found by Alex a few hours later.

Alex and Matt got into a huge fight after the big fight due to Alex wanting to stay behind to look after Tim and to not go to bludhaven with him. the fight only lasted 2 weeks before Matt caved and called Alex after a bad injury( it was not life-threatening but it did hurt badly)

Alex originally only stays at the Manor to find Tim but then realizes that Bruce is not taking care of Cass due to his grief and ends up staying there longer.

Alex went from the youngest to being the oldest in the house taking care of her younger siblings; she is still the oldest in the house when Bruce starts taking in more kids.

Duke thinks that Alex is the oldest child until Carrie comes to the house to talk to Alex about Anastasia and the rest of her siblings.

Alex has a lot of resentment towards her Elder siblings due to them not contacting her thinking that she was on Bruce's side.

Tims not paralyzed in this au but he does switch between canes and his wheelchair Due to the torture that he endured.

Alex gets into a lot of fights with Bruce due to him taking in more children but not talking to his Elder ones until Stephanie is back. She feels like she has taken care of the children more than he has for a long time And she is very much not afraid to yell at his face about it though not in front of her younger siblings.

Carrie runs a diner in this Au. I do not know why but it just has been something that I've had in my head since the beginning.

All of the older children except for maybe Carrie have gone at least borderline villain though they do end up being more of a morally gray hero in the end.

Tim and Alex become codependent for a time due to them being the only person they can lean on for their grief. They can also talk to Matt but he is literally another city to get away from what happened.

I feel like the younger siblings end up thinking that the older ones are so cool And because they didn't see what happened for them to leave they definitely don't understand what Alex Matt Steph and Tim feel about the older ones.

I have so much angst for how Matt Alex Steph and Tim view there older siblings you do not understand the amount of angst that I have.

Duke is taken in barely a year after Stephanie has died and all of the older siblings are not talking to Bruce. Everyone in the family is still grieving and Duke is now thrown into a family still in morning but not able to talk about it due to Stephanie technically not being legally family. Unlike Jason's death in Canon that was very publicized Stephanie's was very much on the down low as to not Turn Stephanie into a spotlight tragedy and to not link their identities.

While Bruce is in the timestream all of the older siblings are fighting for the cowl. The middle siblings are taking care of the publicity and custody of the younger siblings. The younger siblings are trying to figure out if Bruce is actually dead and the baby siblings are traumatized.
