One of the most fatal mistakes that EA Maxis' The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, USA ever done to Shang Simla, China world in The Sims 3 World adventures: Using image of Torii Gate, from Japan, for China world icon.
For 13 years after release of The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack, finally I did the fix for the icon. Creating this icon default replacement is actually difficult because
editing the vector in very small scale size. 64x64 px, 57x57 px, 38x38 px, 32x32 px, 21x21 px...
I chose Forbidden City as icon for Shang Simla because Forbidden City is only existed in Beijing, China. Shang Simla has its own “Sim-ified” Forbidden City building in the center of the World.
I haven’t tested the whole gameplay showing this new icon, but I have already done the edit for all image icons with keyword “beijing” “china” on S3PE. If you found any icon that hasn’t been replaced, please report to me.

back from my trip. i drunk peed into oracle’s HQ lake where their penis boat is. i also did rude antic on EA’s hq sign but not posting pic. hmm. let’s see. all these san francisco corporate car rental places have like basically only white teslas, and i said NO TESLA, so i got a charger which i drove around like a huge douchebag. sat through 8 hours of meetings a day. did a lot of drinking. watched several 50 y/o men, get like, teenager sloppy drunk, sneak a weed vape around, grab each others asses etc. they run the company.

Work stuff:
The past few weeks, I've been in limbo when is the EA is been filling in for coming back. People come up to her desk, looking for her, oh Patty's not back yet?
I have 99% of my stuff moved back to my own desk. Today, her best work friend comes and starts cleaning her extra cubicles and getting supplies she will need since she's been gone since May... her best work friend also was like when are you moving back to your desk? Umm before Tuesday is the plan..most likely I will move back down there Thursday before the end of the day, since I'm going to work at our downtown building on Friday.
And ohh Crazy Lisa, she has her surgery next week, and I thought she was going to be gone for a month ish. She is supposed to be gone until almost May.
So that leaves PTSD Ann and me? And I requested two vacation days in March (when I go to Arizona) the days were already approved. I was looking at my bosses calendar and PTSD Ann also has one of those days off?
Who exactly will be at the office??
I low key kind of want a different job?
I feel weird at work RN.
In non work news:
I'm supposed to go to San Francisco this weekend, fly out Friday night, that is if my Alaska airline flight isn't canceled and if we don't get a snow storm.
I'm sooooo ready to leave town.

fav world: i know everyone hates del sol valley but personally i really like the realism there and the opportunities for building !!! u can turn it into anything really and i personally love that hehe. other than that definitely granite falls... im a sucker for woodland areas DFJHJDSH
world i play in the most: its gotta be brindleton bay! i dont think its the best gameplay wise but i build more than i play and brindleton is one of my fav places to build hehe,, im almost always in there. i love seaside things,,, yom
a world i'd like to see: i could ask for millions of things ngl HJDSHDS but uhm id like a scandinavian inspired world... think like bergen in norway! that would be really pretty. ALSO a new city we desperately need more apartments... i think something like brooklyn could be good, a lower-rise city with lots of fun activities :) ts3 already has boroughsburgh and id love to see something similar to that... and more desert worlds ngl! ALSO THE SAN FRANCISCO WORLD BUT ACTUALLY PRETTY... im so angry at that DHJSFHJSH

Preliminary data from a statewide survey conducted in 2022 shows nurses cut back on the number of hours worked per week since 2020, and nearly half the workforce reports symptoms of burnout, said Joanne Spetz, director of the Institute for Health Policy Studies at UC San Francisco, who has studied nursing workforce issues for more than a decade.
More nurses, even those as young as 35, are thinking about leaving the profession entirely or retiring within the next two years, and half of the workforce had at least one patient die of COVID-19, Spetz said.
“There is a lot of trauma in the nursing workforce,” Spetz said. “The numbers are not good.”
Labor advocates say the nursing shortage creates a vicious cycle. The nurses on shift wind up doing more work. They get burned out and flee the industry, worsening the problem.

its crazyyyy how bad of a world san seqouia is. there's nothing fucking in it!!! i hate how they justify all of their lazy decisions with "but some people have potatos for computers :'(" this game is TEN YEARS OLD...is the potato tester computer a chromebook from 2011? 12 lots and theyre all far away from each other and there isnt shit to do outside of them, not even stalls like in wedding stories or festivals like snowy/city/cottage. and NO APARTMENTS? in SAN FRANCISCO??? why didn't they add townhouses or houseboats? all this fucking water and its just filler because they didn't want to build a real world. i hate EA so much lol

Nasi lemak is a dish originating in Malay cuisine that consists of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk that is traditionally served with anchovies, cucumbers, peanuts, and boiled eggs. The dish is rounded up with the addition of a spicy chili paste called sambal.

theres. a whole racial stereotype regarding east asian ppl and cleanliness though ? like the history of chinatown in san francisco is really exemplary of how cleanliness/healthiness has been used to racialize and target chinese people. theres been several occasions when chinese people in SF's chinatown were quarantined on the basis of 'spreading disease' but white people were allowed to move freely through the area. and not every EA person is chinese obvi, but like.
yeah thats kind of what i mean like there is a lot of racial baggage around east asian cleanliness like historically and in the modern day esp. if you take into account the amount that asian foods are dismissed as gross/nasty/unsanitary or the way fetishization (particularly in japan) creates an image for some people that the entire country is inherently sexual/perverted/unclean like and like. gestures at the US response to covid vis a vis china... asia is not exempt from the enforcement of white western cleanliness and grouping east asians in with whiteness because some east asians are pale feels like. kind of reductive.

Session skate sim: A love letter
When it comes to recent years, skateboarding video games have been few and far between. Besides the odd Indie title or remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Skaters have been left without any big releases since SKATE 3 in may 2019. While we still wait and hope for a new installment from EA games, ive stumbled upon a diamond in the rough that has absolutely floored me. Session Skate Sim, a title from indie developers at Creature studios has taken everything I had known about skate games and throws it completely out the window.
Let’s start with the attention to detail. Physics and realism come first in this game providing true to form animations that are absolutely incredible. Set in condensed versions of New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia the devs at Creature Studios put so much effort into showcasing street skating history and it shows.
The controls are unfortunately slightly mind bending at first. Having both joysticks be used as either foot was tough to get used to but makes for the ability to articulate and move the board however you want. Once you get it, you’ll be surprised to find how intuitive and limitless they are. Making available almost every trick you could think of.
When you play Session, you get an immediate sense that it was made by skaters but not just for skaters. So that anyone can pick it up and give it a spin. Truly a breathe of fresh air in the gaming community.
