Istg the final scene of V-Wars was 100% fan service to say thank you for sitting through 10 episodes of bonkers storyline and effects worse than anything the early 2000s had to offer.

"We're sorry the series was pretty out there, but here's Ian Somerhalder doing shirtless pull-ups and scowling incessantly for no plot-based reason at all. We've given him an obnoxiously large gun too. It makes no sense but he looks hot. Make the most of it, kids, cos you're never gonna see him onscreen again after this shitstorm blows up in our faces."

At the same time, the only ‘King’ he’d really like to emulate is political leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. But, knowing how fussy certain Jabberwocks can be about dress codes, he anticipated a simple black suit to be ill-received, and so elected to buck the traditions of both monarchy and gender by donning his finest pirate garb to portray Elizabeth Swann, Pirate King.

All of the pieces of his look are items sourced from his vintage shop — except for the the jolly roger-emblazoned bandana, which happens to be a sneaky little nod to his complicated allegiance.

Y’ALL!!! So I just started watching V Wars and within the first 4 minutes I heard the most iconic thing!

“It’s a brave new world, isn’t it? Within a decade, we could be reviving extinct species. The thylacine, the woolly-mammoth, saber-tooth cats. Looks like Steven Spielberg’s gonna get his park after all. Well at least the... Ice Age version.

I think you’ve had to listen to me for long enough. To sum it up, I say this. No matter what your politics are, we know that climate change is causing glacial deterioration. We also know that there are viruses and bacterias in that now-melting ice.

Now, let’s just say a prehistoric equivalent of the Zika virus, Ebola, or the bubonic plague were to appear as a result of the melt. Our bodies would have no immunity. And we would have no vaccines that could help us. If you ask me, I don’t think it’s going to be asteroids or nuclear war that wipes us out. It’s going to be this. -insert image of a pathogen cell- Ancient forms of these pathogens could start a pandemic that makes the bubonic plague look like-- like a chicken pox party.

This isn’t nature crying out for help. These are warning shots. And that is why I’m calling on you, the global scientific community, to come together and pool your resources and knowledge to get ahead of this.

Science has no borders, no agenda, only truth. And the data tells us that this is inevitable.
