If you want an answer for that power boost thing with sans and frisk
It’s how somehow every other member of the family has at least some sort of way to give them a decent boost
But they have no real way to boost anything that I can think of
Nothing, all the goats had default options thanks to all the stuff established in both the game and here, Chara could possibly get a ghost form or help asriel get the hyper form
But I just don’t see a way for sans or frisk to get one
I mean... I guess. Though Sans is already OP and Frisk has the power of Determination already. So... I don't really see a need for them to get super power boost forms.
Though it would be fun to see Frisk as like, some super determined magical girl. Though I guess that's why I have Academia!Tale, huh?

Hottest UT character, go!
Tumblr media
Her muscles and ability to suplex children captivates me.
.... For real though. I think she's the most badass character in the game and I'm a diehard Sans stanner. Not counting Flowey or the amalgamates who got DT injections, she's the only monster who was able to feel DETERMINED by themselves, the thing monsters shouldn't even able to do in theory. Like hell, she can bounce back from death out of sheer fucking will, and Undyne doesn't have time bending powers and whew if I don't find that hot,,,,,
And this,
Tumblr media
She!!! Cares so much!! And she shows it! If you didn't help MK, her HP is lower when you fight her after. Didn't attack you when you're inside the seagrass because Alphys told her it's under scientific protection (though it's actually to make Ice cream and Undyne doesn't like cold food so she drink it melted like soup). Kept soda inside her house even when she doesn't like it, in case Alphys drops by.
She also got her dorky moments. Because of anime, she thinks humans are capable of mind control and has told the guards to not obey her if she issues orders that could help the human (so we still had to fight them after we befriended Undyne). Was able to lift most of the cast off the ground at the same time, but now weren't sure how to put them down.
Man. I love this fish lady so much. Hands down the hottest undertale character and I'll throw hands with my fellow Sans enthusiasts if I need to. Like she wears a fucking eyepatch (sexy!!!) what else do you want.

Knight Alphys Master Theory
I acknowledge the popularity of and evidence for Knight Alvin and Knight Papyrus. But let's put them aside for a few moments.
Tumblr media
Full lengthy of the theory will be kept below the cut, as it gets quite long, but have a quick banner.
The True and Neo Chaos
Let's begin with something interesting. There have been a couple of words showing themselves as fairly prominent amongst the Secret Bosses, that people have picked up on: those words being Neo and Chaos. Jevil references both, with his endlessly spouting about Chaos, and his including 'Neo' into a few of his attack names. Spamton also refers to his new body as 'Neo'. But the secret bosses are not the only area in the Dark World where these things are mentioned.
Spade King is, so far, the most ardent supporter of the Knight, and is incredibly excited by the concept of spreading darkness across the Light World. His battle theme is entitled 'Chaos King'. Queen also gets in on the fun--she talks a lot about a Neo Fountain, and explains how Determination, a trait found in all Lightners, is a vital component in the creation of both a Dark Fountain and a Neo Dark Fountain.
So, with King being the only one confirmed to have met, spoken with, and even received help from the Knight, and Queen having witnessed them make a fountain, it seems 'Chaos' and 'Neo' might be very important terms where the Knight is concerned, and that the Knight will also be linked with Determination.
You know who's linked with all three of these things in Undertale? Alphys.
"But Glass!" my hypothetical audience says in confusion. "That makes no sense! Alphys did the DT experiments, sure, but she's hardly particularly determined. And concepts of 'Neo' and 'Chaos' don't come up in Undertale at all, let alone in connection with Alphys of all people! Really if anyone was dt-connected and likely to show up in Deltarune, wouldn't it be Sans or Chara--"
Au contraire, dearest darling readers! As we all know, the term 'Neo' does show up once in Undertale, with a very blatant connection to Alphys!
Tumblr media
As we all know, Mettaton Neo is Mettaton's original body, created by Alphys to allegedly be a human eradication robot, which the ghost Mettaton inhabits and fuses with. It's meant to be his 'ideal body', even if he doesn't really want to kill humans.
However, Mettaton Neo has links with a few other monsters, besides Alphys... Who also have interesting links with Alphys.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, if you'll notice, all three of these monsters have some interesting similarities.
All three have a normal form, and a significantly more powerful form you fight under special circumstances. Undyne, Mettaton, and Flowey all talk about protecting or killing both humans and monsters--and both Undyne and Flowey(before the Photoshop Flowey boss fight) use the words 'Humans. Monsters. Everyone,' before their respective fights. Undyne feels the powers of 'everyone's hearts beating as one,' and Asriel mentions something similar before using everyone's souls to break the Barrier.
Those are some similarities in terms of circumstances. But they also have a lot of similarities in terms of appearance. All have a prominent heart icon in their chest, huge shoulder spikes, and inverted sclera. Undyne and Mettaton very prominently have something weird going on with one eye. Mettaton and Asriel have very big and flashing wings, while Undyne and Asriel have big white gloves with more heart markings.
These three also have another, more subtle connection: all of them are connected to Alphys in some way, be it major or minor.
Mettaton Neo's body was built by Alphys. Undyne convinced Alphys not to commit suicide, and thought Alphys has many crushes, she's the crush who needs to reciprocate Alphys' feelings for Frisk to learn more about the Amalgamates, Flowey, and the Tapes, opening the way for Flowey's master plan and the True Pacifist Ending. And of course, Asriel was revived by Alphys, and she's the only one who realizes how bad things are about to get when Papyrus mentions a 'little flower' told him to gather everyone.
Wrapping this all up, while Mettaton's name in this form mentions Neo (with his theme also mentioning it), and Undyne and Asriel are blatantly linked to Determination, Asriel also has a very interesting hint at things: a number of his attacks use the word 'chaos' in their names. Notably Chaos Saber and Chaos Buster. He also has a strong connection to 'Hopes and Dreams', which both are mentioned occasionally in Deltarune, where the unique item 'Last Dream' is mentioned as being 'The goal of Determination'--and Gerson's memorial bench in Deltarune, as well as Alvin's dialogue, implies a connection between dreams and stories, which are also linked to darkness and dark worlds...
So, we have a big, nebulous connection between Neo, 'everyone's hearts beating as one', Chaos, Dreams, Darkness, stories, Determination, and maybe Alphys. What about it? What makes you so sure this really does make Alphys the Knight?
Oh, sweet reader. I'm nowhere near done yet.
Alternate Universes
Hey, you know who the only character in Undertale to canonically mention alternate universes is?
"Don't be silly, Glass, it's only the most popular theory for the person who interrupts the Goner Survey--Chara!"
Nope! Well, maybe. It's not impossible, but I'm not sure that that was really intended to be the reading of that line. Chara in concerned with efficiency, and there is no efficiency in doing the same thing over and over and over. Chara's Post-No Mercy monologue is a mirror of Flowey's Post-Pacifist monologue. In my opinion, Chara's 'let us erase this pointless world and move on to the next' is their equivalent to Flowey's 'let Frisk live their life' and Asriel's 'don't you have anything better to do?' Many take this line as meaning you should move on to a new timeline or to Deltarune, but I take it as you should play another game. ANY game.
But curiously, one person who specifically talks about alternate UNIVERSES, and not just 'other timelines' like Sans, is quite often overlooked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sans has done research on timelines, but has very little concrete information about them, to the point he mistakenly attributes Flowey's resets to a murderous Frisk. He also may or may not be from a different universe, but has yet to outright confirm this. Alphys has, allegedly, done actual research on Alternate Universes, and feels confident in asserting that they exist, and daydreaming that someone in one of them watches over her, and is cute and interesting, and she has a crush on this person.
Alphys can be just as meta as Flowey and Sans when the proper opportunity presents itself.
Gerson and Gaster
Gerson and Gaster have a bizarre relationship, which I won't get into right now. Suffice to say, though, people have certainly picked up that Gerson sort of fills UT Gaster's 'role' in Deltarune, being a recently passed away and highly admired mentor figure, who leaves big shoes for Alphys to fill.
Yes, Alphys, specifically. In Undertale, Alphys is noted as someone Asgore hired to replace Gaster, and one Gaster Follower notes that she has 'big shoes to fill'. It is also wondered if Alphys will meet the same fate as Gaster. Meanwhile, mirroring this, in Deltarune, Toriel recommends Alphys to replace Gerson as a teacher, and she still seems pretty anxious about living up to Toriel's expectations, going so far as to lie about how 'normal' Kris is doing in class. (While Kris silently stares at Alphys, a trash sphere perched upon their head.)
This point of Alphys in Deltarune being a teacher leads perfectly into...
Alphys Frequents Where the Knight Has Been
One of the biggest arguments against Kris being the Knight is focusing heavily on timelines, and how unlikely it is Kris would be able to be at the Library to create a Dark Fountain at the proper time, as it's implied that Noelle and Berdly had their books and notes out on a desk when the Dark Fountain was created, rather than them walking into a pre-existing Dark Fountain. @vgfm's wonderful Knight Alvin theory also relies somewhat on Alvin theoretically being familiar with both the School and the Library, due to his father previously working at the school(and himself possibly attending as a child) and Berdly mentioning a 'Ms Boom' working at the library.
But there's someone who we know, without a shadow of a doubt, certainly frequents BOTH these places. Alphys.
For the school...of COURSE Alphys can roam around the school without any suspicion! She's a teacher! It's even likely that she's the one who locked the door on Kris and Susie, back in Chapter 1. It would be trivial for her to tell the class that Susie and Kris have been gone an awful long time and that she's going to go check on them, only to panic and lock the door on them later, and tell the class she couldn't find them. It's also known that she regulars visits the Library, as a review of MMKC II all but stated to be left by her can be found and read. Additionally, Alphys is also the very first to mention the internet outage...
Tumblr media
Interestingly, that review is something that gets analyzed a lot, too. Some think MMKC I is meant to represent Undertale and MMKC II is meant to represent Deltarune. Some think it represents Frisk and Kris, respectively, or even UT Papyrus and DR Papyrus.
Personally, I wonder if Deltarune Alphys preferring much darker and more complicated fiction is reflected by her being a darker and more antagonistic fiction in this game, rather than an ultimately mislead scientist who made a mistake, but learns to improve herself with the support of her friends...
Dr. Andonuts...?
One of Toby Fox's earliest games, as some of us know, is the Earthbound Halloween Hack. It is effectively a 'bad ending' of the game Earthbound, which heavily inspired Undertale later on. It explores some similar themes as his other games, albeit in a more clumsy and edgy way, because he was much younger when he made it. @under-lore has also made some interesting analyses regarding how Halloween Hack and Deltarune's alternative routes are handled, and what this might mean for Deltarune having only 'one ending'. It's got a few other similarities, too: like how much its protagonist, Varik, looks like an earlier version of Kris with a different color palette.
Tumblr media
Knight in a modern setting, shadowed eyes, neutral expression...hm.
Oh, I've talked a little about Halloween Hack and Deltarune, but I haven't told you what Halloween Hack's actually ABOUT, have you? Well, it's pretty interesting. So, in the original Earthbound game, the character Dr Andonuts, who is a short and eccentric scientist type with an estranged relationship with his son, puts the hero, his son, and their friends into robot bodies so they can go to a different planet to defeat the big bad, at the cost of never being able to return, right? And in the original story, a miracle happens and they do somehow return home?
Well, in the Halloween Hack, that doesn't actually happen. Tormented with grief at having effectively killed his son and said son's friends, Dr Andonuts locks himself away in his lab, and Varik is sent to go find him, accidentally learning about his past and secrets on the way, and as he does Varik realizes that Andonuts is a heavily closeted queer man who struggled to suppress that side of himself--hey wait a second, why does this sound so much like a character Toby's written...more...recently... In a game that isn't Deltarune...
Speculation
So, I've done my best to bring up and organize a lot of evidence for Alphys being the Knight, both in terms of things actually present in UTDR, and in terms of parallels to other games Toby's worked on. In this section, I'm going to talk a little about my own feelings regarding this twist, how great I think it could be, and what it means for me.
Alphys and Toriel are, in my opinion, the two most overlooked characters in all of Undertale. While the lion's share of the attention goes to Sans, a lot of attention is devoted to Gaster, Papyrus, and sometimes Undyne, Grillby, and Muffet too. Not only do Toriel and Alphys often get overlooked, it feels like everyone significantly downplays Alphys' achievements, too. This video by @megaderping goes into a lot of detail about the ways Alphys is overlooked, and the really interesting facets about her character.
First of all, I think it would be really cool if Alphys' character were brought into the spotlight in this way. I think her being the Knight also explore and expands upon important facets of her character initially introduced in her Undertale appearance, where she indulges in escapism by pretending to be a human's ally, and ends up projecting onto Frisk.
Second of all, I just...feel like there so much potential for really touching scenes between her and Kris?
I don't think the secret bosses are the way they are because they met the Knight. But they do have a recurring theme everyone has caught onto by now: all of them are trash. All are based on items often discarded. First a Joker Card, which is rarely used in play. Next Spam Email, which is universally disliked and never read. And Mike is commonly thought to be a Microphone, possibly using a pun based off 'video killed the radio star'. I've also theorized that Roulxs Kaard, based off a Rules Card, might disappear halfway through Deltarune to become a Secret Boss in a future Dark World.
Alphys has something in common with these Secret Bosses. She thinks she's trash. And Kris also seems to a very low sense of self-esteem too. Spamton projects heavily onto them, and Kris is more shaken by watching Spamton's defeat than anything else. Several players have likened Kris removing their soul as feeling like an analogy to self-harm, it's been theorized that Kris is depressed and suffers dysphoria, and while Kris being an enemy we fight in some route in a popular theory, personally I feel that such a fight coming to pass will mean Kris is making a suicide attempt. Furthermore, Kris has formed an incredibly strong bond with a brash and excitable rulebreaker--much like the bond formed between Alphys and Undyne.
I just think there's a lot of really sweet potential for a future scene. One where, instead of the Knight being a villain Kris needs to kill, as in a classical fairy tale...the Knight sees herself reflected in Kris, and chooses to stop. Chooses to instead talk to Kris about how hard it all is. About how sometimes you feel like trash, and just want to throw yourself away. About how you're always living in some genius', some mentor's, some golden child's shadow. And you love them, and you miss them so much, but you can never be anyone else, aside from who you are in relation to them. About not feeling comfortable in your own body, about feeling awful and needing to watch as people grieve and you KNOW what happened to their lost loved one, but if you tell the truth you have to fear they'd hate you.
I just. Have a lot of feelings about Alphys and Kris bonding and helping each other. About two Knights seeing themselves reflected in the other. We don't have that with Alvin. We don't know enough about Papyrus to know if we'll have it with him. We sure as hell can't get that with Kris being the singular Knight.
So, what's up with Castle Town Fountain?
Okay, I lied. I also believe in Knight Alvin.
Specifically, I believe that Alvin will be a red herring, and it will later be revealed that he was the one who (possibly using his father's hammer) opened the Castle Town Fountain.
Fountains reflect the will of their creator. And the difference between Castle Town and every other fountain(as reflected in the difference between Ralsei and every other Darkner) makes me think that Castle Town Fountain either appeared naturally, or was created by a third Knight: Father Alvin.
It's not just the fact that he's related to Gerson that makes me think Father Alvin created the Castle Town Fountain, specifically. I feel I actually also have some small, but interesting, pieces of proof that Ralsei might be, instead of 'Kris' idealized self' or 'Kris' monstersona' or 'Kris' idealized vision of Asriel'... Father Alvin's idealized vision of Asriel.
Think about how Alvin has talked about Asriel:
-Father Alvin mentions Asriel was in the choir. Ralsei prominently sings lullabies to put enemies to sleep.
-We also know his view of Asriel is incredibly kind, sweet, naive, and is at times driven by guilt. Possibly something of a pushover. He imparts an anecdote where Asriel confessed something mean he had done in a video game out of curiosity, and confessed for Kris when they repeated the act to troll him...despite Father Alvin saying their religion has no concept of sin.
-Likewise, Ralsei is incredibly kind and sweet, perhaps to the point of naivety. He's so intent on pleasing Kris and doing as they say that he actually apologizes when Susie forces him to learn R-Actions, and has an incredibly powerful sense of right and wrong, repeatedly encouraging Kris to be kind and pacify enemies, even if he won't stop them from attacking Darkners.
It's not much evidence, but I do think Father Alvin being Ralsei's creator has some small potential.
Conclusion
I hope this theory has been, if nothing else, entertaining to read! I don't fault anyone else for still sticking with Alvin or Papyrus as Knight Candidates, I would honestly be happy to see either theory confirmed, and even if Alphys turns out to be the Knight, I'd love to see both given larger roles later on. But I'd like to throw some female candidates for Knight into the ring--and while Mayor Holiday and Dess have both been speculated, we just know so little about each of them right now. And as I said, I think Alphys is perfectly primed to further expand and explore themes Deltarune is already exploring a lot.
I would really love to see more discussion, and perhaps even fanart, based around Knight Alphys, though! Whether or not in turns out to be correct, I think it really adds to some overlooked aspects of Deltarune, such as the powers of Neo and Chaos, and perhaps Alphys' connection to Asriel!

Wait.
Would Monsters see blood as DT?
There are likely obvious differences, but what if humans bleed determination, the same way Monsters shed dust because they're made of magic?
Which probably means monsters get pretty damn panicked when humans bleed.
... What if blood was acidic to monsters, because of it's DT content?
Thoughts of Sans trying to help you out and he has to pull away and cuss because fuck that hurt when he's trying to fix your wounds.
(He helps anyway)
Idk just thoughts I guess

Why do I feel like Hacker took the form of a Papyrus and offered a Sans some DT pills with some extra kick? Likely LV… can see it overwhelming the soul of the Sans until it made the adorable Maniac we see today?
Wrong inhabitant implies that the body was that of a sans but the soul/content is that of DT… a being that is Pure Determination, and his mention of being unable to fight off the “Intent To Kill” means he identifies as such… and intent to kill is LoVe. Level of Violence… his ability to meddle with souls is absolutely fascinating as is his seemingly lack of morals.
*Offers a box of a dozen Raspberry White Chocolate cookies from Subway to the adorable menace*
This is so well thought out!~
We'll definitely get more into DT's backstory eventually~

FROSTTALE: Master Post
Frosttale is an au I made over two years ago now, and quite a few things have changed since i made the original concept on discord. At this point nearly every character has a finalized design and the story is complete, so i think its time i made it more mainstream!!!
Opening Cutscene:
Long ago, two races ruled over earth: humans and monsters
One day tragedy struck, a blizzard worse than any before it struck the human village and the humans believed the monsters to be the cause.
The humans fought the monsters, and sealed them into a cave, using magic to curse them with eternal cold
Many monsters suffered, and more died.
PRESENT DAY:
Legend has it that a furnace powered by seven human souls could stop the winter and break the ice barrier that seals them underground
MT. EVEREST, 202X
They say those who climb this mountain may never return.
(Thingy of chara falling into the underground blah blah blah game starts)
Ok so time for the changes!!!
this au centers around everything being cold, duh.
The most major change is that undyne is dead due to the extreme temperatures, and that drives nearly every other change in the au.
Alphys found her goop stuff after she died, scooped it up and saved it. Since then has been secretly using the royal scientist funds not for technological development but in an attempt to revive undyne.
One day, papyrus is walking around in waterfall, looking for undyne in a hope that somehow, he could find her (he doesn’t know that she’s dead, sans told him she’s just missing). Alphys sees him, and sees an opportunity (he has a similar body shape to undyne), she persuades him to come to the lab, then she knocks him out cold (see what I did there)
Papyrus wakes up a few hours later tied to a table and has a couple of wires and containers hooked up to him, most notably two labeled “remains” and “DT”
Due to the fact that he’s tied down papyrus is stuck there.
A few minutes later Alphys walks into the room and tells him that he will be ok, and tells him that if the procedure works, papyrus can be part of the royal guard, when papyrus asks what the procedure is, Alphys doesn’t answer.
Slowly, papyrus goes back to sleep, and the vials are all injected into him.
Once he wakes up again, he is now in a bed in a room that is similar to undynes, and is wearing a suit of armor also similar to undynes clothing.
Alphys walks in and tells papyrus that she cannot tell him where he is, and that he will stay here for the next few months.
Over the next few months papyrus is nurtured by Alphys, but notices something, Alphys is getting increasingly more stressed, and is now preforming daily checkups on him, and soon papyrus starts to notice something else.
Flesh.
Papyrus is growing flesh on his bones.
Flesh with scales.
And something else, papyrus feels much more determined and stronger in general, along with the sudden ability to be able to summon and throw spears as well as bones now.
However, the flesh doesn’t completely cover him, only parts of his limbs and face. He also loses vision in his left eye and needs an eyepatch, soon the changes stop.
Alphys realizes that her attempt at bringing undyne has failed and slowly realizes what she has put this innocent monster through. she leaves the lab and takes after her mentor, jumping into the core and killing herself.
Alphys has created Papyryne (name is a wip lmao).
Papyryne never found the key to leave the true lab, and has turned to be the caretaker of the other amalgamates, He has a lot of physical traits of undyne, while keeping most of the personality of papyrus, meaning he is now actually able to do the good deeds he once wanted to do. He makes the true lab look nicer, and treats the amalgamates like family
During all those shenanigans Sans has become very very lonely and quite depressed. He looks for papyrus everyday and can’t find him. He spends most of his time in his house or the judgement hall, or at least, he did.
Sans does end up meeting toriel, and in fact is at the door when you fight her, However sans never made his promise to not kill a human to toriel, as he feels that if there is an opportunity to melt the ice, he should take it.
After you leave the ruins, sans will have run away and back to his house. As you go through Snowdin, all of papyrus’ puzzles are completely frozen over and easily passable, and there are no monster encounters.
When you reach snowdin, no one is there either, they all either left or died, sans and papyrus, being skeletons, are the only ones who were able to survive the cold.
The river is completely frozen solid, and the ice cube machine is backed up with ice. When you reach the area where you would normally fight papyrus, sans will sneak up on you and start a battle.
The battle is different depending on weather you killed toriel or not. If you haven’t, sans is simply fighting you out of obligation, and the fight is very easy. After a few turns of acting and sparing, sans starts to cry a little. He doesn’t want to kill anyone, stating the underground has lost enough, and spares you. If you attack, the screen turns black and then you go back to the overworld. no sans in sight. If you do not attack, sans will not say anything, and go back to his house.
If you did kill toriel, the fight is a bit harder, but after a few turns, sans will run away regardless of what you do to him.
Entering waterfall, everything is frozen over, and again there is no life to be seen. There are two places of intrest, the old tem village (the new one will be mentioned later) where you can grab some nice items, and the village.
Upon entering the main area (the one with the save point and houses) you will encounter all three ghost characters, alphys was too obessed with reviving undyne to build mettaton, and undyne wasnt alive to need a training dummy (mad mew mew still happens post game btw).
Mad dummy forces the other two to attack you, napstablook being shy and mettaton being generally depressed (due to lack of body) dont really care too much, but fight you for their cousin anyways.
At the end of waterfall, they fight you one at a time (mirroring the multiple undyne fight segments). You can spare them by promising MTT and Mad Dummy that youll get them bodies (witch then becomes a pacifist quest), and letting blooky show you dapper blook.
Entering hotland youll notice everything is mostly ashen and gray, most of the lava having been turned to stone. You begin by passing through alphys's lab (nothing happens there... yet) and making your way to where MTT resort would have been, youll notice that as you enter hotland (now called "The Refuge" by most monsters) you can encounter monsters from anywhere in the previous areas.
Approaching the MTT resort location, youll instead find a bustling town called "New Snowdin", featuring Grillbys 2, a closed down nice cream stand, a royal guard sign up center, and... a massive cemetary.
In the cemetary youll find graves for muffet and lesser dog, as well as memorials for alphys, sans, and papyrus (the latter two being presumed dead by the public)
When attempting to enter the core, the door will be locked and have a sign saying "ROYAL GUARD ONLY", promting you to visit the sign up center.
You can sign up to the royal guard and enter the core, eventually getting on the elevator to the castle.
When you reach the top, youll be met by a hill, climbing on top of it youll find sans, he will explain that youre standing on top of the judgment hall, its been covered in snow
He says that for a long time, monsters have hated the king for his "wait out the humans" idea, and activley tried to revolt, promting the closing of the core to the public. He says that you are the final human needed, and sadly, you must die.
He then sends you off to asgore.
When you arrive, asgore brings you in for tea, sitting down with you in front of a large unpowered furnace with seven heart shaped slots, and explaining youre the first person willing to do so in quite some time.
He then escorts you to the barrier, and the fight begins. During the fight, your hp will drain very slowly due to the proximity of the barrier, being that it is what emmits the cold.
At the end, he reaches his final bit of hp, and then does something drastic.
You may have noticed a lack of flowey while reading this and thats because, well, he doesnt exist. flowers dont grow in these temperatures, and even if they could, alphys wouldnt have made him.
Asgore turns his back, and swings his trident, destroying the containers of souls, destroying them.
A second phase begins, he is now much powerful and has much more health, but eventually soul segments similar to those omega flowey has occur, and you can eventually defeat him.
You are then given the option to kill or spare him, if you kill, you recive the six souls and can break the barrier, if you spare, he takes you in as his own, and the game ends with you going to sleep in his castle.
This means that yes, there is no true pacifist run (but there is something similar...)
(Almost) PACIFIST EXCLUSIVE EVENTS:
If you have spared everyone, the elevator to the hill will collapse, bringing you to the true lab, where you can meet papyryne, he will treat you with kindness... at first.
He eagarly shows you around the lab, introducing you the amalgamates who he has lovingly named Puppy, Birdy, Snowy, Goopy, and Whispy.
However, as he shows you around youll begin to notice times where the font he is speaking in changes, and he becomes more agressive.
You can see the following entries on the walls:
Entry 1:
I found what I believe to be undynes remains today, something’s off though, it isn’t dust… it’s goop
Entry 2:
I’ve stored her remains down here, I plan to begin doing tests on it, seeing how she could have possibly gained DETERMINATION
Entry 3:
The DT extractor broke today, it will be a while untill it is fixed
Entry 4:
The memory heads keep looking around my shelf, spouting nonsense like “still there” or “don’t forget”
Entry 5:
The DT extractor is up and running again, I’m preforming some diagnostics, then tests begin tomorrow
Entry 6:
This is impossible
Entry 7:
I’ve made a discovery, in undynes remains, although there is only a fragment… her SOUL… is still there.
Entry 8:
The tests have been stopped, I’m attempting to recover some old files about the amalgamates
Entry 9:
Just as I thought, the records show that monster souls, when in their weakened state, can fuze, the most dominant soul taking the consciousness
Entry 10:
I took a small portion on undynes remains today and gave it to one of the amalgamates in their food, so far, nothing has happened
Entry 11:
It’s no problem, I simply need a bigger sample size, and perhaps a more stable monster with a complete soul, unlike the amalgamates
Entry 12:
I found a shyren today, I’ve lured it here and and captured it, I will be preforming the same experiment I did with the amalgamate
Entry 13:
Nothing is happening
Entry 14:
The shyren lost Vision in one eye today, though I am not sure if this is related to the experiment
Entry 15:
The shyren has been knocked out for 3 days now, I’ve hidden her body in the bathroom
Entry 16: I beleive I have found a new candidate for an experiment, this next experiment could be very very interesting.
As you are about to leave with him, freeing him from the lab, undyne takes over and he fights you. the fight is difficult by interchanging blue and green soul mechanics, the final attack using a combination of both.
You are forced to spare, as you cant damage him, and his fit of rage will end, he then will leave the lab with you and youll fast travel back to snowdin, reuniting him with sans.
You can then go back to the elevator and everything else will play out the same, with some additional sans dialouge at the end.
GENO EXCLUSIVE EVENTS:
You have to do like. a shit ton of grinding in hotland. You also have to do the ghost quests so you can kill them.
You reach level 14 and thats the highest you can get, you then take the elevator.
Once you reach the hill, you meet sans. He doesnt say anything, and a fight begins.
"it was a nice day today"
"can you see the snow sparkling in the light?"
"..."
"of course not"
"no one like you would stop to appreciate that"
"it was already bad down here, why did you have to make it worse"
"..."
"not much of a talker..?"
"me neither"
"but..."
"heres the thing"
"you see... king asgore needs one more soul"
"and youve got a nice one ripe for the taking"
"so... heres what im going to do"
"i am going to fight you"
"and i wont stop..."
"...UNTIL HELL FREEZES OVER"
then you fight, and at the end a similar cutscene to the one in UT will play, exept he doesnt ask papyrus if he wants anything.
you then go to asgore, and everything will play out as normal, exept you arent allowed to spare him.
EPILOUGE:
Holy fuck, that took so long to write. pleasepleaseplease if you have any questions feel free to ask, and i dont usually ask but if you liked it please reblog, i spent a lot of time on this.
ill be posting designs soon, and fanart would be much appreciated!!

BIG LORE DROP
I just updated the main page with story and timeline information, there are some story plot points and details that have changed, and I have decided to release MOST of the back story, so it's a BIG lore drop.
I wrote this a few months ago as an outline for my own reference for making content, but my health decline has made it so I'm not able to make stuff to the scale that I want. Maybe one day, but that's going to be a long time.
Timeline:
Past
Normal canon up until Gaster disappears into his own creation.
Asgore has 6 human souls by this point.
Sans is installed as Royal Scientist.
Perhaps Asgore was going to apoint sans, but sans said no. Too much effort. So in this AU, he says yes to the job offer.
They move to their nice home in Snowdin, Sans earns enough to just work this job and pay the rent. This was to escape the cramping of the city, and to get Papyrus closer to his dream of being in the Royal Guard. (which he does when befriending Undyne).
He goes to Grillby's, and helps Papyrus patrol and set up puzzles still. He always has time for Papyrus.
He practises puns at the door to the Ruins, and befriends the old sad woman.
The broken machine is in true lab
Sans uses the blueprints (from Gaster) to create the DT extraction machine, as Alphys does in normal timeline.
Sans injects DT into Fallen Monsters as per Asgore's orders.
Asgore asks for the recently 'Fallen Down' to be delivered to the lab.
Sans injects determination into only one of the bodies (Snowy) as a control case. The body rises. And melts.
He ceases the experiment immediately and alerts Asgore.
Asgore shares the blame with Sans, and they inform the family of what has happened. The family are shocked but overall happy to have their Snowy back, albiet in a form that requires care.
They send the rest of the bodies home to pass in peace with their families.
He tweaks the DT Extraction Machine to be able to extract other soul essence.
Finding that determination could not be handled in a Monster body, he seeks other elements that perhaps could.
Sans extracts Perserverance from the Magenta Soul.
He finds the material to be similar to DT, but not as potent.
Sans experiments on himself with Perserverance, gains hypnosis powers
Feeling haunted by the DT experiments and the weight of failiure on his shoulders, Sans has not been sleeping. Desperate, he makes the foolish decision to experiment on himself.
He distills it into a drinkable vial, and swallows it. His magic absorbs it, and tints his soul.
After a sleepless night of tossing and turning, and halucinating, he pulls himself out of bed. He finds It colours his left eye pink, and his teeth are somehow changed. And ever after that, he finds sleep impossible.
Otherwise, he deems the experiment a failiure, as it didn't result in any ability to open the barrier or use the souls.
Fundamentally changed by this, Sans changes his name to Baggs.
A nickname given to him by the constant deep bags under his eyes.
Baggs is ordered to experiment on live monsters. He confronts Asgore.
Baggs refuses, being living proof that it only brings suffering. Not to mention Snowy.
Asgore points out that it wasn't so bad, and Baggs lived, and pushes the issue. Asgore is desperate to escape his fate of killing one more human, and even more, his previous ambition to become a god and destroy humanity.
Baggs agrees. He holds no animosity towards humans. (after all, he feels as if he once lived amongst them, in another world). Besides, Papyrus desires a carefree life on the surface, not one stained with war.
Baggs takes pity on the desperate, tired king. He asks Asgore not to worry about it anymore, that Baggs will shoulder this burden, and find a way to let them escape peacefully.
Asgore is powerful, but despite his need to uphold his royal duty, his inner desires agree with Baggs. In this way, he easily falls under Baggs's words and power.
Baggs realises a beat too late that that was far too easy, and sees his colour in Asgore's eyes.
They do not share this with anyone, as far as the Underground is aware, humankinds' downfall is still on the cards.
Baggs experiments with his new magic.
Confused by that occurance, he finds that he is using his ability without realising, his natural charisma is tainted with magic that easily sways everyone around him.
He experiments, and realises that he has a powerful ability to Hypnotise. A combination of his soul's blue magic, his intuitive sense of judgement, and the Perserverance in his magic, allows him to control everyone around him.
He practises this ability, and fine tunes it.
He ramps up his work
He gets a bigger budget from the King, and permanetly houses the souls in his lab.
Alphys 'invents' Mettaton, and it dazzles the King. Baggs is not fooled, but he asks Alphys to work with him anyway, she's a skilled designer, if slightly unreliable and neurotic.
Though Mettaton gives him the idea, what if he could create a REAL human with a REAL human soul. He begins researching and theorising.
He has less time for Papyrus, who grows lonely without him. To make it up to him, he aquires real Royal Guard armour for Papyrus to wear to the costume party. He is overjoyed, and never takes it off.
He only visits the old woman behind the door rarely, and is not in much good humour. She picks up on his changes, and grows concerned. He visits even less, in shame.
Baggs injects DT into a golden flower.
He continues his experiments with Souls and DT.
His only other experiment with DT after the disasturous last experiment. He figures it is safer and more controlled to inject the plants supplied by the King. Perhaps their connection to the outside world may help.
Eventually Flowey escapes the lab, full of Determination, and the ability to SAVE, LOAD and RESET. (reseting presumably to the point in which his story starts, ie, he wakes in a lab).
Flowey messes with the Underground
Flowey plays around with the Underground as if it were a game.
He and Baggs come to blows more than once. As Flowey has no soul, Baggs cannot control him.
Flowey recognises Baggs as the biggest threat, and annoyance. Makes his games unfair.
Baggs half remembers these instances, enough to be wary. One of his experiments was apparently a success, and now his biggest threat.
Baggs gets more desperate, he literally feels as if time is looping, and he is no closer to his goals. Worst of all, he remembers death, his own, his brother's, everyones. His psyche is fracturing under the stress and trauma.
He discovers the existance of SAVE, LOAD and RESET, after many, many, many encounters with Flowey and loops. He links the abilities to DT.
Frisk Falls into the Underground
Frisk falls during Summer vacation
Frisk experiences the game as normal right up until they leave Home. (Flowey tails them of course).
Alphys's surveilance system alerts to movement at the door, and she watches intently as the human progresses through Snowdin.
Baggs is deep in his planning and research when he recieves a call from Papyrus... He met a human. The loop has been broken. This is new.
He shortcuts out to meet with Papyrus, to meet and size Frisk up. He keeps his distance, observing. He decides not to intervene with his powers, so he may keep his trump card for another time.
At one point, he feels a sense of deja-vu he knows too well. The human has the DT abilities.
Frisk makes friends wherever they go, never an ounce of malice or ill will in their intent. Their LV stays at 1. Baggs finds himself endeared by the human, especially when they play with and make friends with Papyrus. He is conflicted. He doesn't know what to do.
When Frisk arrives at the lab, after befriending a befuddled Undyne, he welcomes them, introduces them to a star struck Alphys.
In a flash, he stumbles back as he recognises something in their eyes for a split second. Something he has seen before. In Flowey. He remembers the horrors subected to him, to his family and friends, to the entire underground. Frisk is oblivious, after a thorough judgement of them, he finds it. Strings.
He excuses himself, down into True Lab.
Alphys guides the human through Hotland over the phone, not the winding, trapped version of her own making, but a short and fun jaunt where Frisk meets more monsters on their way and solves only a few puzzles.
In this time, Baggs is preparing one of many plans he had foreseen. Preparing tanks, and life support fluid. And a terrarium.
The Core is messed with and hit men are hired, Alphys is confused by this, but presses on. She still has her sense of confidence unshaken by any experiment failiures. And then Mettaton reveals himself, he cannot allow them to reach Asgore, who will take their soul and become god, and wants Frisk's soul for himself to reach humanity through the barrier alone.
Alphys realises her neglect of her friend and tries to reason with him, but the phone is cut out. The fight plays out as normal, and Alphys arrives to help after.
Everything is normal up until Frisk reaches the judgement hall. Where she meets... Papyrus! He says this is usually Baggs's job, but that he wasn't answering his calls, and is too busy these days anyway. He gives Frisk the best judgement he can, and that is, that he thinks they're SUPER DUPER and A VERY COOL FRIEND.
He waves them goodbye enthusiastically, as they go to meet their very nice King, who will surely let them go home.
Frisk reaches the throne room, where Asgore is shocked to see them. He stalls, mentioning something about Baggs and their promise, but he relents. Its too late. He must fufill his duty. Frisk follows Asgore into the next rooms, tailed as always by Flowey. He pauses at the spot in the middle of the flowers, the spot he died. This gives Baggs his chance to suddenly appear and capture him in a glass bowl. Flowey swears and hisses and tries to escape, but its no use. The glass is re-enforced, there's no escape. Baggs shortcuts away with him.
Frisk and Asgore reach the barrier, and the fight begins. Only one glass vial appears, the one for Frisk's soul.
Before Asgore can be felled, Frisk grants them mercy. Asgore promises that they will be very well taken care of in the time trapped in the underground. Baggs appears, and reiterates that. He suddenly takes control of Asgore's soul, who stills placidly. He then turns menacingly to Frisk, and engages them in an encounter. Frisk tries their best, but having been weakened by the fight, they are no match. They too fall to Baggs's power, and they fall unconcious.
Just then, Papyrus enters the room, and shocks still at the scene.
"SANS... WHAT'S... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"
Baggs, falters, and his triumphant grin falls. No... He can't shoulder this burden, not Papyrus. He can't know. Baggs levels a hypnosis attack at an unsuspecting Papyrus, and Papyrus falls prey too. He falls to his knees, placid and completely under Baggs's power, but his eyes not understanding, accusing. Baggs erases the memories of what happened here, in Asgore, and in his brother. He promises Papyrus, but more himself, that he will never use his magic on him again.
He sets everything as it was. Asgore in his garden, Papyrus back at home. He makes them believe that Frisk left the Underground with a mysterious golden flower.
He then places Frisk in cryostasis, and Flowey in his inescapable terrarium enclosure. He cannot sedate a flower, and so must endure his charming personality when he is in this room. He feeds Flowey and keeps him alive, and extracts information where he can, and researches him. With Frisk asleep, and still holding on to their DT powers, Flowey can do nothing.
He now, technically, has all 7 souls needed to break the barrier. But a human cannot absorb human souls, only a monster can. And he refuses to kill. He perserveres to find another way.
the power to SAVE, LOAD, and RESET, He cannot trust Frisk with it, and certainly not Flowey. Frisk had too much determination, he could not keep them controlled for long, they resisted him too much. This power was now dormant, and he no longer would have to fear it. Time could move on.
He would then █████ █████ ██ ██████ █████ ████ ██ ███ ████████ ███ ███████████ █████████ █████ █████ ███ ████ ███ ██████████ ████████ █████ ████ ████ █████ ███ ██████ ████ ██ ███████ ███████ ████ █ ██████ ██ ████ ███ █████████ ██ ██ ████ █ ████ ████████ █████ ██ ███ ████████ ███ ████ ████ ██████████ ███ ████ ███ ████ ████ ██████████ ████████████ █████████ ███████████ ██████████ ██ ███ ███████████ ██ ███ █████ ████ ███ ███████ ██ ████████ ██████ ██████████ █████ █████ █████████ ███ ████ ████████ ████ ███████ ██████████ ████████ ████ █████ █████████ █████████ ████████ ██ █████ ██████
The underground believes Frisk left the Underground, Papyrus believes his friend Flowey helped them cross the barrier.
The King announces henceforth, they will no longer wage war on the humans. When they break the barrier and arrive back on the surface, it will be in peace. He announces that The Royal Scientist will create the means to break the barrier, and that they are closer than ever.
The King announces that due to Papyrus's bravery in assisting himself and the human and helping them resolve peacefully, he is 'knighting' him as General of the Royal Guard. He outranks Undyne. The Royal Guard is now to focus on defense, and not attack. They must be able to defend their Kingdom, without waging war. They cite Frisk's determined kindness as an inspiration.
Any human that falls down is to be peacefully escorted to the Lab to assist Baggs with his research.
All of this is due to Baggs's influence over Asgore.
Baggs installs surveilance cameras in more places all over the underground.
Someone might say 'its rude to talk about someone who is listening'.
The Underground's concerns of overpopulation and corruption have to be downplayed and optics controlled by Baggs. He refuses to let people fall down in despair, he must keep hope alive.
Baggs works with the Spider crime syndicate to help with control, and sell magic laced baked goods. They also bring him intel.
Other Main Character notes
General
More of a vanity position, he spends his time playing politics, making connections across the underground, trying his best to keep up hope. He unwittingly brings intel to Baggs about any problems or concerns in the Underground, and any talk of discontent. They are mysteriously and unceramoniously solved overnight.
Undyne trains him more seriously now, and he has grown very competant and strong.
He gets a bit spoiled and a bigger head than usual, Undyne makes sure to keep him grounded.
Instead of 'my brother is so lazy!' he says things like 'my brother is always so busy'
He and Baggs participate in government council meetings and the morning announcements
Doesn't sleep much, "my brother even less!"
Nabstablook
Cannot be hypnotised due to his ghostly body, but goes along with it anyway to be polite.
He is Toriel's ears in the Underground, tells her of the events of the outside.
Does not tell her about Baggs specifically, he promised he wouldn't tell.
Toriel
Is told that Frisk has left the underground, and is filled with immense relief. Finally, a child escaped this place.
Asgore is still alive, and though he has recinded his declaration of war, there is no reason for her to rejoin the Underground as Queen. Frisk is gone, and she is alone again.
She hears strange things about the Underground. Although there is more hope and happiness, there is something off.
She misses the voice at the door, he was so sad during the end. She wonders what happened to him.
Most of all, she misses Frisk, and she is lonely. She has tried Frisk's phone, but they never pick up.
Undyne
Undyne feels a bit betrayed by Asgore, who so easily gave Papyrus a position so high. She grants that Papyrus does deserve it, he was tough and brave in that moment. She holds only a bit of bitterness for General, but more than that, she supports him.
She would leave the Royal Guard, with its less violent direction, but she can't let her friend take such a high position with no training. She can't talk him out of it, and so she ramps up his training.
In the end, she decides to stay, the guard needs her, and so does her friend.
Her relationship progresses with Alphys somewhat more quickly, since Alphys is much more relaxed, less guarded, and doesn't feel the need to lie so much.
She is very resistant to Baggs's control, due to her unusual amount of Determination.
She is thus more aware of the changes in the background, and is suspicious.
Alphys
Alphys continues to assist Baggs in research, she takes care of tasks in the above lab. She never remembers visiting True Lab. Only Baggs has access to True Lab. She is blissfully unaware of what is happening, being the most frequently brainwashed. Otherwise, her life is a lot happier.
Her and Undyne first meet in Waterfall under much happier circumstances, where Alphys is gathering trash happily, instead of contemplating ending her life.
Mettaton
Baggs easily sways Mettaton into helping him brainwash the entire underground. MT is an even bigger star, and Baggs retains subtle public control.
Asgore
Thoroughly under Baggs's thumb. Baggs preys on the part of him who wants to give it all up to someone else. Baggs influences to make decisions for the Underground that Baggs desires.
Baggs pulls the strings, and Asgore is granted some amount of relief from his guilty conscious and grief, and the weight of his responsibilities.

Since Killer canonically steals and bargains for other people’s souls in order to do research on them, I Hc that he tries to talk to them while he does.
It’s an attempt to keep them calm, because he knows what it’s like to have someone messing around with your soul against your will and not being able to stop them.
If I remember right, only human souls persist after death. I think Boss monsters might as well, or at least stay around longer.
With monster souls at least, since they’re souls of AUs of people he’s known, maybe he talks to them like they’re actually the same people from his timeline. His Papyrus, his Toriel, his Grillby.
It doesn’t work to calm the souls most times, of course. And Killer doesn’t really apologize for doing it, just explains why he’s doing it.
Why he needs their souls, how they’re connected to their codes. How his own soul and codes have been changed to the point they aren’t recognizable anymore. (Even if he doesn’t go into details.)
How his soul can and has been used against him, to control him. How he doesn’t fully understand what even happened to him. How he’s attempting to fix and understand it—himself—so he won’t be used as a tool for someone else’s bad intentions.
A lot of the souls don’t want to hear logical things while they’re actively dying, least of all from the person who killed them. But STAGE 2 can’t really offer emotional comfort or reassurance, nor does he see the point in it.
Justice souls probably dislike him furiously. But kindness souls are probably enough to make a grown man cry, the way they’re still kind and understanding despite it all.
Determination souls..the ones Killer has to study the most. He despises them. He’d rather they all just die painfully.
I don’t think he talks or explains himself to them. Maybe he assumes they already have an idea why.
Either way, despite the violent urges he always gets while holding Determination in his hands, he resists. Tearing their souls to shreds wouldn’t benefit him.
Instead, he settles for their fear in his hands; knowing they can sense exactly he wants to do to them. Savors it even.
He disposes of them swiftly as soon as their use is up and he no longer needs them.
After disposing of a Determination soul, though, he probably has to go somewhere to release all that pent up anger and—although he won’t admit to himself—fear.
Probably the training room in Nightmare’s castle. If this is a Bad Sans AU, he probably drags his partner—Cross (& XChara, although he’s usually just along for the ride)—to the training room for some sparring.
And he can handle it if Killer gets a little too..aggressive.
Cross (and by extension, XChara) are probably the only people he tells about his illegal soul research in Nightmare’s basement. He has no clue if Nightmare knows or not, but Killer hasn’t told him and Nightmare hasn’t confronted him yet.
Given Cross’ own situation with his own soul, Killer assumes he might be able to understand in a way the Boss, Horror and Dust can’t.
And while Killer’s raving on and on about all the things he wanted to do to DT souls, XChara’s just insulting him and calling him insane/crazy the entire time; knowing Killer can’t hear him.
Maybe X is a little creeped out, given what his own soul is. And it’s also just how X is. But hopefully he trusts Killer enough to believe he won’t decide to do any of those things he’s talking about to XChara’s soul.
Maybe even a little scared, given what XGaster did to his soul.

Is horror sans the same height as ut sans, since theyre the same person
well, he can be, but it depends on what version of Horrortale yer lookin at! i don’t even think they’re depicted as the same height in their respective canons. i actually made an entire diagram for this!!
Tumblr media
text summary:
(+EXP)(+LV) = Growth in size and strength
This creates a generally more powerful monster.
* HP remains the same due to previously established trauma-based damaged.
• More proof: Frisk is around 8 and Aliza is around 12. In images of Frisk and Classic vs. Aliza and Horror, there’s a frighteningly obvious difference.
• Monsters with higher levels are more powerful and tend to have more endurance depending on their willpower (Determination; DT) and magic.
While he may not have as large of a kill count as his brother, Papyrus still absorbed the EXP of those killed and fallen. Human AND monster. Thus making him go through the same changes. It’s really a matter of growth through gains of power.
My iteration of the Horrortale boys are 5’6 (sans) and 7’7 (PAPYRUS). I measured their heights compared to Aliza but that’s just my AU and speculations, there’s many others!

Some less-lore-oriented Gaster Thoughts(TM)
y'know, i don't imagine this is anything New per se, especially in terms of like. theorycrafting for lore, but. for a perspective of looking at undertale through a literary lens, maybe it is you ever think about the parallels between gaster and toby himself? I mean, both use the official undertale twitter, and... gaster is like, this super powerful plot device used to explain certain things. it feels like in a way, gaster is tobys real self insert. ive even heard rumors that his easter eggs were added as a way to make sans powerful and make that make sense
but i've been thinking about gasters fate, tobys history with UT/DR, and how it mirrors what dark fountains and dark worlds seem to be attempting to deconstruct, what they're literary metaphors for
For some reason, I remember always thinking that... "falling into his own creation" just. Literally meant he fell into either the core or... shoved himself in the DT extractor. But I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what that can mean. To fall into something can be to get absorbed in it in every facet of your life, to be thinking about it lots, or... just letting it take you over, in a way. To fall into ones own creation is to obsess over it. Was he obsessed in his research into... ah, we're getting into actual lore. Whoops Anyways, it would be odd for toby to have written this if you think about it as a parallel to the absolute success of undertale, since hes very humble and didn't expect a huge success... but when you think of it in the context of how much he, not a thriving community, was absolutely absorbed in his own creations? How he stopped the development of deltarune to make undertale? How hes still working on making that one dream he had years ago come true?
I think it pieces together as... quite poetic. I wouldn't say it was enough to make me believe it was intentional, though. When I piece that together with the brilliant theory that Andrew Cunningham posed in his video about determination in deltarune, though? Well, specifically that... deltarune is aiming to deconstruct our relationship to escapism, and that dark worlds are metaphors for creating fiction... Maybe gaster really was the first one to create a dark world, and. well. what happens when you go into a dark world? you fall into it. Perhaps gaster made himself more than just a simple dark world, but the entire world of deltarune, and thats why hes the... narrative god or whatever, at the beginning. Whether he made one or not, I cant say for certain. But I think I can say that toby may have made one, and thats one thing I'm curious to hear insight into after deltarune is all said and done. Was it always meant to be about a creators relationship to creations? about getting absorbed in fantasy? And how might this narrative have changed, as his own work became as loved and famous as it is? Only time will tell, won't it? Mr. brilliant White Dog ...
