“Tell me who she is, that’s all you have to do.” Belos’s raspy voice scratched Hunter’s ears.

“NO!” He repeated. “You can hurt me but I will NEVER let you hurt her!” the blood dripping from Hunter’s mouth splattered over Belos as he yelled. His face curled into anger. However his face turned into a sneer, Belos’s frustration making him feel better. Despite the blood dripping from his face, arms, legs, stomach and wherever else Belos could get to, Hunter felt what was more important was to keep Willow safe. Titan knows what Belos would do to her and her family. . .

“Dad, I’m telling you, something is wrong!” Willow slammed her hands onto the table aggressively, attempting to prove a point.

“And what do you want us to do? Break into the president’s house and steal a child!?”

“YES! Or- at least make sure he’s ok!” Willow cried. “He hasn’t answered my texts, calls, he hasn’t been at school. Something is wrong!”

“And what makes you think it’s that and not the fact he might not have-”

“SOMETHING IS WRONG!” Willow snapped. “And if you aren’t going to help me then I will do it myself!”

“You are going to break into a high leader’s house to check if Hunter is ok??”

“YES! How many times do I have to repeat this?!” Willow hissed. She stormed out the door, and despite the fact they could get thrown in jail for this, Gilbert couldn’t let his daughter go alone. She approached the house and in one more attempt to get his daughter to stop he spoke.

“Its lock-” he started.

But Willow had already gotten the door open.

Where the heck did she get the knowledge to do that from??

Willow and Gilbert snuck around the house, but ran into someone.

“Uhm-” Willow stuttered. Then she recognised them. And they recognised her.

“Willow?”

“Raine?”

Willow wasn’t sure if it was safe yet.

“Looking for Hunter?” they asked. She nodded.

“No one has seen him in weeks. But I assume he is in his room because we aren’t allowed in there.” Raine told her. “Come with me.”

Gilbert looked at her, and Willow nodded. They followed Raine through the mansion until they reached a room, which they both assumed was Hunters. Willow lock picked the door.

“Just know, Belos goes in there at exactly 3:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:00am, 12:00pm every day.” Raine told them. “Also I can’t be here so I’m just going to go.” and with that, they left them. Cautiously, Willow pulled the door handle. You could hear a scramble of arms and legs, lots of crashing. Willow opened the door to find Hunter basically upside down, with a bunch of photos of her in an opened box that was all over the floor. He was covered in blood, and there was blood all over his bed and floor. She ran over and hugged him, crying.

“Hunter oh my god I’m not even going to ask if you are ok! There is blood everywhere!” They both broke down into a sea of tears and blood, and all Gilbert could do was watch.

“Willow, I told you not to follow me!” Hunter burst out.

“Well f*ck your stupid brain, I’m your girlfriend and I don’t care what you say. I care about you and you were missing!” WIllow snapped. Hunter shook his head.

“Leave before he finds you.” Hunter pushed her away. “He will kill you.”

Willow balled her fists in anger.

“You think that a person like me, could leave her own boyfriend like THIS!?” she wailed. Just as she was going to say more, he shushed her.

(This next part is my one little thing about this.)

“I’ll tell you something. Willow, I’m not like you. Neither is my uncle. I am what’s called a Grimwalker. I’m not even human, I am a clone of one. The one who was the old leader. Caleb. Caleb Wittebane. I am not his son, I am his clone.” Hunter desperately tried to explain. “And my uncle is a monster. He consumed magical animals to stay alive after having his head impaled. He is living off animal souls. Please, he is not your standard human fighter. You can’t win this one. Leave!” Hunter whisper-cried. But it was too late. They had created a commotion, and Belos had heard.

“Oh no.”

Yeah, it does make sense that Phillip wouldn't want the Collector to be free cus its dangerous and interferes with his plan, but he's still a dick tbh. He tricked Luz and Lilith into helping find the collector in the first place and left them to die, made hundreds of grimwalkers in Caleb's image, just to hurt them and kill them anyway, killed hundreds of witches and demons just to test out his sigil spells, lied to people about wild witches being dangerous, and attempted to kill basically everyone on the boiling isles.

And that's just off the top of my head.

So I personally think that Phillip/Belos is still a dick.

i mean, the post wasn't claiming he wasn't a dick, i very clearly stated he was still a dick and it was still a dick move.

like if he hadn't dropped the collector he would still be a dick.

i think people missed the point of the post

i wasn't trying to prove he wasn't a dick because the collector is dangerous, as if somehow this dismisses all the other bad stuff he did. i was trying to make a point of how fans made that choice of his as another reason he's a terrible person, when when you're looking at it logically it makes a lot of sense Philip wouldn't wanna free an all powerful god from his prison who could easily overpower him.

If he wants to leave, how would he reasonably do that if the collector is out and can force him to stay with a flick of his finger?

Like "How dare philip not let the all powerful god child who could kill him if he pissed him off out"

he was still a dick the way he went about it but not keeping their deal makes a lot of sense logically, it's certainly more rational then the choices he makes about killing witches.

like people forget here, king didn't let collector out out of the goodness of his heart or because it was the "Right thing to do", king let him out because it was either that or everyone dies and king decided the collector being in charge but everyone lives had to at least been marginally better then wiping out 90% of the population.

Had there been no draining spell, much less likely anyone on the owl house side would of been totally ok with letting him out unless they had a plan in mind first.

this isn't a contest about whose more of a dick.

people forget to an extent because collector is so cute and was trapped for so long that collector is also very clearly a character who lacks a lot of empathy, that the death of others or the feelings of others doesn't matter very much to him, hence how he calls hunter a "Thing" and cares very little about the witches dying due to the spell HE gave belos.

when king very clearly is holding onto luz it's not about "Oh no, king is losing his sister" it's "Oh no, king is staying with ME because he promised to stay with ME and i won't let him leave".

Collector being trapped is upsetting, but he clearly has problems, he wasn't locked away for no reason.

So while it was a dick move to drop him off a bridge and trick him in the first place. Not agreeing to let him out might be one of the most reasonable things belos does in the show oddly???

It's a dick move to the collector, but under the context letting him out means he can have you do whatever he wants regardless of your needs or wants, yeah obviously belos isn't gonna let the kid who could insta kill or force him to stay out....

people treat not letting him out as a pure dick move because belos was the one who did it.

If luz had done it people for sure would of backed it up more.

do i feel bad for collector? oh yeah

But i also think people had good reason to not want him out either given everything we know about him.

For the Future Liveblog

Owl House! Owl House! Owl House!

And who knows, with the return to the Demon Realm maybe we’ll actually get to see The Owl House in this episode! More likely, we’ll get to see King and The Collector’s game of Owl House, whatever that will look like.

But yes, my general predictions for this episode… the following bullet points represent the major story beats I expect to see as well as the general structure.

•I think the opening scene of this episode will act as a parallel to the opening scene of the previous episode. In that we got to see what happened right after the end of King’s Tide in the Human Realm. I think we’ll get a similar scene from the perspective of the Demon Realm. I think that will be followed either by a flash forward to the present day, showing what King and The Collector are up to, or…

•We see The Exiles (plus Camila) return to the Demon Realm and witness the state of affairs. They’ll likely try to find their families and allies and try to figure out where to go from there.

•Previously mentioned state of affairs include King & The Collector’s game of Owl House. I’m expecting King to fake it until he makes it and improvise his way through the whole thing. The thing is, he said they needed an entire island’s worth of people to play, and The Collector does seem powerful enough to make and entire island’s worth of people participate in his games, regardless of their wishes.

•To make things even more complicated, we also have to factor in Philip. What exactly he’s planning, I have no idea. If I had to guess… it probably has something to do with The Collector. If this celestial toymaker is powerful enough to deactivate the draining spell, they’re certainly powerful enough to reactivate it. Or just sink the island into the boiling sea.

•End on a cliffhanger to lead into the final episode.

Some other guesses include a bit more on the backstory of Philip, Caleb & Evelynn. Obviously, I’m expecting more character development and growth from Luz and probably also Hunter. Oh, and maybe we’ll even see Luz’ palisman hatch!

Also, Bat-Queen.

Anyways, let’s get into it!

Called it. We’re indeed starting off at the end of King’s Tide. This time, however, we got a shot of the exterior of The Head, showing how The Collector straight-up split it in half. Once this grand game of Owl House concludes, regardless of who wins and who loses, the Boiling Isles will not look the same ever again.

”It feels like the whole world is singing!”

Cut to people screaming and running for their lives as this Child of the Stars rains down fire upon the tiny mortals below.

”Yeah, I wouldn’t call that ’singing’”

You know things have seriously gone off the rails when King of all people has to be the voice of reason.

King says that the fun game The Owl House, which he totally did not make up less than five minutes ago, is kinda like a game of pretend. Which is kinda what I suspected he’d go with. But it did make me wonder… what would a game of pretend even be like for a god?

At this point, I stood up and paced back and forth through the room, contemplating this question. It was pretty fascinating to think about, but not something I believe most of you people are interested in hearing me ramble on about.

The important part is this; if we go along the line of thinking that The Collector is a god, then most gods are able to create things either from nothing, or by turning one thing into something else. We see The Collector reshape parts of The Head into their new Owl House. So a game of pretend for a god that is able to create things they imagine would very quickly become a game of reality.

You know how as kids we all pretended sticks we found to be swords (I definitely do not still do this) or magic wands or what have you? It would not surprise me if during their game of pretend, if The Collector were to be given a stick and told to imagine it as a sword, that stick would become a sword.

In other words…

What’s life like when you grant your own wishes? Sorbet skies full ’a honey & kisses! Baking? Self-reflection? So exhausting! Take those imperfections & coat them in frosting! Craft your life, give it all you can give it And pray for the day that you might be forgiven

It’s a fitting reference because King can’t Say ’No.’ Maybe I should add another nickname for The Collector and start calling them the Prince of Plastic.

Lilith! It’s been far too long!

And of course! If anyone can defeat the godlike Collector, it would be the great and powerful Lord Hooty! Their battle will be legendary!

MY THE OWL HOUSE SEASON 3 CRITIC

Now that the Owl House is over (Oh God what I'm supposed to do with my life now...) I wanted to get out of my chest my personal opinions regarding this last season. No hard feelings or attacks on the writers or animators of this amazing show, they did their best and I'm not here to judge anyone! Thanks to Them: A mixed bag leaning toward the positive for me. The introduction was done spectacularly (A compilation of everyone's adjustments and development to their new normal) allowing us to focus on the present, no more to say there.

---The premise (the puzzle to the localization of the Titan's blood) although interesting at first sight, it starts to feel dull/uninteresting rather quickly (a compilation of silly, funny moments that takes more than 5 minutes) Looking back it just feels like they could have tried including something a little more... organic to the story [maybe instead of a random puzzle, in reality, they find Caleb's journal tainted with a little drop of Titan's blood, althrought damaged it gives them some clues as to where to find the original portal that brought Evelyn to the human realm, and have Vee use the scent of the Titan's blood to helps them search for it said portal] ---Vee was reduced to a glorified background character and they didn't even address anything related to her (cabin friends, her relationship with Camila, Luz, and Hunter) which is understandable considerating how much else they needed to address but a single piece of dialogue or conversation between Vee and Luz would have been appreciated. ---Luz and Camila's relationship was handled perfectly; is clear that some things happen between them during the time skip. Their relationship seems to have improved, and while there is some air of uncertainty ---Hunter's development is clear all the way to Jupiter, he is more at ease around everyone, and not ashamed of his hobbies and passions. He truly became his true self. This is why his possession although a little out of the blue was a great closure to both his character's development and the episode. (Flapjack's death was truly heartbreaking)

For the Future: ---Similarly, a mixed bag but leaning toward the negative. The introduction was everything everyone expected, a literal infant God going rampant across the world with nobody to stop them, a powerful and impactful intro that leaves us in wonder to what is to come next. (love it) ---Hunter bottling his emotions is perfectly fitting for his character; Is a habit he surely develop during his time as the Golden Guard, the best tool he had to keep himself grounded during missions and around Belos. So going back to said habit after losing his best friend at the hands of his abuser obviously push him to search for any way to keep himself together to confront Belos one last time. A greatly executed idea. ---The Collector was everything I expected (an innocent child with the power to break the world in half, completely unaware of the fragility of others, and ignorant to the ramifications of their actions) they simply wanted a friend, someone to call an equally that they could trust. ---Belos slow psychical and mental decay was the highest point of the episode for me. (together with Luz's palisman reveal) Short, direct, and gruesome until the end. The culmination of Belos's sins is the image of his brother, the cataclysm of everything that led him to this path of horrors. ---Now the thing that dragged this episode to the worst of the season for me is all the time they wasted at Hexide. Including Hexide wasn't the problem, actually, I welcome it, a place to rest and formulate a plan alongside all the survivors? perfect stop for what is to come next, but Bosha and Kikimora's involvement provides nothing to the overall plot beyond stalling time. [I was expecting Hunter to see throught Kiki's disguise and immediately take her down (he isn't in the mood to deal with her bullshit now of all times); and for Willow to put some common sense into Bosha (by instantly beating her in a short fight, perfect to showcase Willow's development). Shortly after Luz and the others gather everyone, realizes how well-guarded the way to the skull is and decides to explore the Demon realm in search of both survivors and resources to create a safe way to the skull. Basically, a journey with the purpose of both reuniting everyone Luz and her friends had met and addressing some of the unattended plots/characters that were left behind] ---Oh, and Stringbean is perfection incarnated and I love them so much.

Watching and Dreaming: (I kinda already wrote one for this so I'm taking some parts for this one) ---This one feels like the only one which succeeds in accomplishing everything it was meant to address and develop. The beginning(approximately 5 minutes) was paced decently, they even manage to cramp the Collector’s development surprisingly well in all of that and it works because the guy was never bad, just innocent and unaware of the bad things they had done, the little guy just needed a little push to the right direction. ---Raine's inclusion as a protagonist was definitely not an unwelcome addition. It was thanks to Belos's involvement that they manage to assure a proper and not out-of-the-blue inclusion and relevance to the overall plot without making their presence too oppressive or unnecessary. ---The Hexsquad and Camila really get sideline in this one! Like, they weren’t even relevant through the whole episode! Truth be told, they got more than enough development from the last episodes so I can understand why that was the case. Eda and King deserved and needed a lot of screen time to compensate for their lack of relevance through the third season. Still… It feels like they wasted time every time they brought the focus back to them by just hanging around helping the puppets. [Shortly after they wake up have them leave the palace and search for Luz, be intercepted by Belos's influence, and for them to change their focus on helping the survivors that weren't inside Hexide.] ---the final confrontation was a stunning spectacle, and Belos's death was beyond satisfying (he got stomped to death by one descendant of his brother, the son of the Titan whose name he used to create his regime, and the nonbinary witch who dedicate a good portion of their lives to fight belos's regime) ---Although I'm not the biggest fan of Time Skips (The one in Thanks to Them is understandable) this one shows us that EVERYONE got their well-deserved good ending.

Just because I have my own opinion and vision doesn’t mean I didn’t appreciate this last season. Although the shortening will forever taint my joy for the show, eternally wishing to see the missing potential we never got to see… I love it and nothing will change that.

pacing up until luz's death was acceptable, fine, no problems really

pacing really fell apart toward the end

why were amity hunter gus and willow even in their own subplot if that subplot was so minimized it was almost entirely irrelevent? why couldnt they be there for the big boss battle and to see luz's death? :(

they should not have done a timeskip. name one time a story has ever ended with a significant timeskip that has been satisfying. a timeskip of a few weeks or even a few months can work, aftermath, but a timeskip where development or major life events happen without the viewer? its never satisfying. it always leaves people a llittle hollow and frustrated. they should have just done her actual quinceañera after the defeat of belos and like. idk. a few weeks or a couple of months as our time skip instead of three-four years. dont like that at all.

im sorry what the fuck. the collector... left? we had a perfect excuse to depower him and let him stay and live among mortals and grow up. like i legitimately thought right before they said he left that eda was going to adopt him and he was going to join the family. im.... alright

luz's death scene was so fucking perfect, the scene itself was framed, scored and paced perfectly. i legitimately felt fucking sick watching it. i was full on nauseous. powerful and impactful. no matter how much i knew she was obviously not dead dead, it GOT me.

THE OWL HOUSE RANT!! SPOILERS FOR FTF!!!

Okay so these are things I really want to happen in the last episode!! Obviously Eda and Camilla meeting!! Just imagine Camilla thanking her for taking care of her daughter!!Honestly I just want her to meet one of the other adults!! Speaking of the other adults, where's Alador?!?! Where's Gus' dad?!?! WHERE'S WILLOWS PAPA?!?! WHERE'S OWLBERT?!?!

Another thing is something we're obviously gonna get but I wanted to talk about some of my theories about that mysterious person Luz saw in The In Between (courtesy of Morgan Terry). Okay so Not So Average Fangirl said that it looked like King a little bit and maybe it's him from the future? Waving to Luz and trying to warn her about something? But the theory that I came up with is that it might be Terrok. Yes, I know "But he tried to kill King." Yeah but he was under the influence that Titans are evil. And Bill confirmed that he's been lying about that. Sort of. I mean, with what we heard in For The Future the fact that The Collectors wiped out all of the Titans besides King because Titans could use their magic to lock them up like they did this Kid Collector isn't really a lie. The only thing he lied about was them gaining great power. Also they weren't worshiping just the Kid Collector, they were worshipping literally every other Collector in the universe!! Anyway, but I was thinking maybe Terrok didn't like the fact that Bill "lied" and turned against him so he tried to find a way to comunicate with Luz and found out about The In Between and that's how he got there. Also, Titans don't have wings. Terrok does. Just saying.

Pairing I am not a fan of: Lilith with anyone. Unless it's friendship/familial.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Odalia. She could have been such a good villain. But I mean, that was probably the fault of The Great Shortening (tm). I think the writers did the best they could!

Favourite Friendship: Gus and Willow. They probably had so many scrappy adventures at Hexside before Luz showed up, but we never got to see any of them!

Character I most identify with: Instead of exposing myself for filth, I'm going to let you guys reply to this post with either a) who you think I'd say, or b) who you think I'm most like. Because I always have the hardest time answering questions like this!

Spoiler warning for The Owl house Season 3 Episode 1. You have been warned.

Ok, so I've emotionally recovered enough from the episode, and now I'm going to talk about it.

Ok so, the way everyone was helping Camilla was so sweet. And the way Amity nervously handed her tea? Absolutely adorable. Also why'd they put a witch, owl and something that looked like King on the plaster box? I'm already sad enough, why do they do this? And then the way Luz put the plaster on Amitys hand? I. My heart.

Gus exploring the basement and being in awe of human stuff was awesome. I have yet to see someone that dissapointed at bubble rap running out. Also Hunter being really formal when thanking Camilla? I. I just. Like it makes sense, I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that.

Willow and Amity breaking a clock cause they thought it'd hurt Vee is hilarious. They even did a little fist bump thing afterwards, they looked so proud of themselves. AND LUZ AND CAMILLA HAVE MATCHING EARINGS IN ONE SCENE??? That's amazing. Camilla having a rainbow heart on her clothes after Luz comes out is also really cool.

AND THE INTRO OH MY GOD THE INTRO IS EVERYTHING. I love everything about the intro. I love the new character design for Vee too, the character designers did a really awesome job. Hunter cutting his hair (cause he looked to much like Belos) and Willow helping him??? Fantastic. Love the trans-coding of that scene. AND THEY SET THE DOOR ON FIRE LMAO. Should've known something like that would happen at some point. I don't understand why Vee was the only one who knew how to use a fire extinguisher though.

And AYY DUOLINGO REFRENCE!! It makes me really happy for some reason. And hooty being spray painted on the door? That was definitely Luz, and that makes me very very sad. And her outburst during her English class? Camilla please get your daughter some therapy. AND LUZ'S LOCKER. It was basically a shrine to her family in the boiling Isles. That's so sad but also wholesome at the same time.

And then Camilla asking Luz if her friends would rather drink blood is honestly so thoughtful (despite how weird that sounds). And she had whole books of notes on their eating habits so she wouldn't forget anything. And she taught Hunter to use a sewing machine too. She cares so much, it's awesome.

The fact Hunter has an obsession with wolfs makes so much sense and is really great. Give the person who came up with that idea a raise. And whoever gave him crocs. However, the person who suggested Gus say "it's good to see you happy, one of us might as well be" needs to be fired. They have made me feel things and that is awful. And "I miss knowing who I'm supposed to be". They have called me out. How dare they.

GUS SHOWING HUNTER COSMIC FRONTIER. That whole conversation showing the importance of representation in a way literal children could understand was not something I thought I needed. AND CAMILLA MADE SURE THEY'D FIND THE BOOK SO THEY COULD READ A STORY ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE THEM AHGJKYYDK. She's such a good parent. She had the old snakeskin Luz found as a kid in a frame on her bedside table too, which is a nice detail.

Also "even if I'm not who I'm supposed to be... I like who I am right now". AHHHHHH. That is the most trans-coded line I have ever heard in my whole fucking life. I love Hunter so much. And the fact he started sobbing after Luz said he was family now ddjgssffggjkd fuck this show I hate it.

And Marsha, I LOVE MARSHA. THEIR NAILS!!!! AHHHH. THEIR SO COOL!!! And "sounds like big bro got a hot witch girlfriend and little bro got upset" when talking about Caleb and Belos lmao. They're awesome. Vee and Marsha need to go on a date, if they don't I will be mildly upset.

Willow having a photo album of all the good memories they made is also amazing, she seems like that kinda person.

AND AMITY AND LUZ HAVE MATCHING HALLOWEEN COSTUMES AHHHHHHHH. And Hunter & Gus's outfits, they're such dorks I love them.

Also the fact Luz's Azura hyperfixation is partly because her Dad brought her the book before he died. I. I hate this show.

And possessed Hunter OH MY GOD POSSESSED HUNTER. The design was so cool, and I just, he's so gender??? Like I get Belos is evil and I hate him with my entire being but still.

Also the fight scene was awesome. The animation, the dialogue, the voice acting everything was perfect. And Hunter throwing the titans blood into the lake so Belos couldn't hurt anyone else was amazing. Hunter definitely knew Belos would try and make him go in after it, and he was willing to sacrifice his life to avoid the harm of anyone else. We've needed a scene like this since Hollow Mind and it is very VERY satisfying to finally have a scene were Hunter stands up to Belos.

AND THEN CAMILLA JUMPED IN AFTER HIM AND SAVED HIM!!!!! YESSSSSS!!!

But noooo Hunter has more scars now and although they look really cool Belos has still hurt Hunter again. The show writers really want him to suffer huh?

AND THEN FLAPJACK SACRIFICES HIMSELF SO HUNTER CAN LIVE!!!! AND THEN THEY CRY??? SHOW WRITERS WHY???? WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE SMALL ANIMALS?? And then Hunter says he wants to fight back for Flapjack ahhhhhh my heart. I hate this fucking show.

AND THEN CAMILLA GOES THROUGH THE PORTAL TOO? DIDN'T EXPECT THAT BUT I LOVE IT.

"Time to go home Flap" I AM SOBBING SHOW WRITERS WHY HUNTER HAS BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH OK LEAVE HIM ALONE

The last lumity scene!!!!! It was so sweet!!! I love this shows portrayel of healthy relationship dynamics. And Vee staying I didn't expect, but it makes a lot of sense actually.

In conclusion, I very much enjoyed the new Owl House episode. Minus everything in it that made me Very Very Sad ™

We’ll get through this, like we always do :)” And Luz and/or Hunter will react in the EXACT same way Luz just did in class. - Also when Belos stabbed Flapjack and said “Goodbye, Evelyn,” was he doing that since Evelyn gave Caleb Flapjack, so Flapjack was the last trace of her? Or was Evelyn somehow a part of Flapjack? Also her name hints at her being a Clawthorne (Gwendolyn, Edalyn).

Nineteen things I noted about CR2E133 “Hunter and Hunted” and the Talks Machina about it :

The description of the streets of Aeor, its building collapsed, the skeletons, is jarring. Even more so when Caduceus flew over the amphitheater and Matt described that there was a lot of people here when death took them, when the destruction happened. Hear this after watching ExU Calamity is even more horrifying, because WE KNOW exactly what those 15 seconds before the end must have looked like for Aeor…

Jester, as Veth is dismantling the robot they found in the ruins of Aeor, for Caduceus’ spell of Speak with dead : “It have a soul, potentially… I don’t know how these things work !” Sam, jokingly : “Don’t be judgmental !” ARE YOU KIDDING ME ????!!! okay i apologize in advance bc i’m like almost done writing this while i add this disclaimer and i’m realizing it’s VERY ramble-y and my adhd brain keeps rapidly switching topics but i hope this makes sense HAHA

IT WAS GOOD! it wasn’t nearly as gut-wrenching as the last one but i do appreciate some good ship action (raeda and huntlow tugging on my heartstrings fr). a lot happened this episode and i feel like a big theme was character development and personal exploration, we saw that a lot with hunter, but most of all luz and willow! it makes me really happy to see luz get her palismen (palisman??) finally and string bean is so adorable! i was team snake btw so i’m happy with this outcome. a lot of people say that boscha was really annoying this ep but honestly i didn’t think so? i mean, she was a bit, but she’s clearly not a villain here; she’s just a traumatized mean girl teenager handling things badly. she’s developed some pretty bad abandonment issues from losing her grudgby team to the collector, and ended up taking those out on amity, which isn’t…great, but people are treating her worse than belos this episode lmao?? but ANYWAY i’m very happy to see hunter again <3 and i’m happy that his development is moving in a positive way. not everyone is happy about him having magic from flapjack, but i think it’s nice; it reinforces that flapjack is still with him, even if he’s not physically present, which is a nice sentiment. and like i am sorry he is going thru it or whatever but i MISSED him being an annoying angry boy,, and OH MY GOD “you mean a lot to me too” “cool, happy to help” KILL ME NOW?!?! THEY’RE SO ADORABLE.,,,, and i’m glad they focused on willow here too because it made me like her a lot more than i did previously. and ok going back to raeda the “i just like to come out and see raine” i don’t remember if that’s exactly what she says but eda literally risking being caught by the collector who still thinks she’s the owl beast just to see raine,, AND RAINE’S LOOK IN THE BEGINNING WHEN SHE GOES INTO HARPY MODE…… omg they’re in love. and i’m choosing to say raine is a lesbian bc it makes my heart happy. switching gears completely to camila,, just,,, in general,, her being a mother figure to so many of the kids and her conversation with luz to amity saying “you and luz are a lot alike”,, i love her so much i cannot believe there was a point in which she was controversial in the fandom. i’ve always been a camila defender. OKAY BUT THE ACTUAL EPISODE ANYWAY the collector is obviously being set up for a redemption arc of sorts; they’re really pushing the idea that he’s just a kid and doesn’t want to really hurt people, and it’s clear that he really did care about king (defending him from the coven head i forgot her name sorry lol, respecting his boundaries with his rabbit and not touching it, calling him his best friend, immediately not trusting belos when he said king has it out for him) and that’s why he’s taking his ‘betrayal’ so hard. i did NOT expect him to team up with belos ngl, i thought that this episode would be them defeating the collector and next ep would be belos, as like a first and final boss type of thing, but this is like. so much better lol. AND SOMEONE ON TWITTER POINTED THIS OUT BUT belos is ALWAYS looking down on people, specifically at hunter; there’s always a specific camera angle to showcase it, but in this episode, in his weakened state belos finally looks up at someone: caleb. belos has always been in a position of power in every relationship we’ve seen with him so far, EXCEPT for caleb. caleb is the only situation in which he’s been the dependent. which is really being showcased here and i liked the imagery,, and i’m curious as to why belos chose raine in particular? like obviously this is going to be used for some raeda plotline which i personally don’t mind actually but like. obvious excuse for ship angst is obvious. but i hope there’s some other reason than just “let’s make eda upset hehehehe” u know what i mean. oh and raine mullet,, pretty. if i had a nickel for every time belos possessed someone and they got a mullet i would have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice right.

i’m excited to see how things go with the collector next episode (new noceda sibling real?) and i’m excited to see king, eda and luz’s reunion! i really need eda and camila to meet like NOW. i also really hope that hunter is the one who gets the final blow on belos, like sorry to luz or whatever i know ur the protagonist and that’s your moment but he DESERVES it. and obviously luz isn’t going to stay in the human realm indefinitely but with her mom i’m wondering how they’ll work things out; maybe there will be a more stable portal and luz and camila will be able to pass through both worlds and visit as they please? or will camila just stay in the demon realm with luz? idk!!! i can’t wait for next episode but knowing we’re officially on our final hiatus and that the cast just finished recording for the last episode is also :’D a bit miserable. sad to see it go but excited at the same time

Just watched the new Owl House ep. First thoughts. Warnings for Major spoilers and A lot of Incoherent Rambling(and yelling. And cursing)

I'm gonna have to update the designs on Normal Human Boyfriends. Messed up that was my first thought.

And- IF GOD HATES GAYS WHY DO WE KEEP WINNING. Luz coming out. Another nonbinarie. The little PRIDE FLAGS thruout the episode.

Lowhunt hasn't been canonized but the once negligible signs of Hunter having a crush have been escalated. Crossing my fingers they dont get together. Nothing against it, just dont want it to be canon.

Belos: Goodnight Caleb

(Before Hunter could react Belos raises his hand and as it turns into a weapon like green and black almost molding he swings at Hunter as soon as he does Hunters eyes shoot open

Setting: A room in the Nocedas house)

Hunter: *Gasping for breath and shaking* oh no..no no no no no! *He looks down and sees he's bleeding out. He groans in pain* Where do I-Ow! I need to get bandages

(Hunter attempts to get up but he collapses. He holds his hands on the wound on the side of his stomach as tears begin to fill his eyes)

Luz: Hunter?

Hunter: *Looks up* H-Human? *Looks back down and starts coughing blood*

Luz: Oh my god! *Runs towards him and sees all the blood* Oh my- Mama! Mama! Hunter stay awake ok? just stay awake don't close your eyes. Mama!

(Moments later)

Camila: Luz are you o- Ay! Que Paso?!

Luz: I-I don't know but call an ambulance!

Camila: Ok ok!

(Camila runs out of the room)

Luz: Hunter? H-hunter?! Hunter! Can you hear me?!

(Hunter looks up at her about to cry)

Luz: It's gonna be okay I promise *Starts to cry* Y-you'll be okay

(2 Hours later

Setting: Hospital room)

Hunter: *Slowly opens his eyes and groans then lets out a small gasp* W-what happened?! Hu-Luz?!

Doctor: Woah woah calm down! It's ok! *chuckles* you're in the hospital your siblings and your mother brought you in

Hunter: (Mumbles: Siblings and mother?..) U-um what happened?

Doctor: Well your mother said she found you bleeding out of the side of your stomach luckily you're mom brought you in before you lost more blood. Oh! that reminds me *grabs a banana and milk* Eat these they'll help you feel better!

Hunter: *💭: What is this yellow thing*

Doctor: I'll let your family know that you're awake. Oh! and love your elf ears! they looks so real.

(The doctor walks out and tells everyone Hunter is awake)

Gus: *Barges in* Oh my titan thank titan you're ok! *Runs towards Hunter and hugs him*

Willow: Are you ok?! How are you feeling? What happened? Oh who cares i'm just so glad you're ok! *Hugs Hunter*

Luz: Oh my god! I'm so glad you're ok I would never forgive myself if you weren't! *Hugs him*

Amity: Is he ok? I need answers *Sees everyone hugging him* oh my titan can he breathe?! you guys are squishing him.

Luz,gus,willow: oh- *gets off of him*

Hunter: *Inhales* Oh my titan I was about to pass out

Gus:Sorry-

Luz: My bad

Willow: Don't die again

Amity: You're welcome

Doctor: You guys can go home in an hour or two we just want to keep an eye on him to make sure he's ok can we get the mom of you guys in here?

Amity: Oh we're not related

Willow: Yeah just friends

Luz,gus,hunter: oh um...

Amity: What did you do..

Luz: So um...he sorta kinda maybe adopted me and gus as his siblings...

Amity: What?! Y'know what we'll talk about this later

Doctor: so..can we get mom in here?

Luz: Oh yeah sure i'll go get her!

(2 hours later

Setting: The living room in the Noceda house)

Hunter: You should go to bed like the rest

Luz: Not until you do

Hunter: I'm fine hum-Luz

Luz: Aww you called me by my real name for once!

Hunter: Don't get use to it

Luz: I have a question for you

Hunter: Hm?

Luz: How did you start bleeding all of the sudden did you fall on 5 knifes lined up or?

Hunter: Oh no it's a grimwalker thing I think

Luz: Oh? tell me about it

Hunter: Well whenever I sleep and I dream whatever happened to me in the dream happens in real life. It's the reason I'm afraid to fall asleep

Luz: Oh wow that sucks what were you dreaming about?

Hunter: It's not important

Luz: No tell me! Pleaseee! *Looks at hunter with puppy dog eyes*

Hunter: Yeah those don't work on me i've trapped children

Luz: *Sits up* I know I should be concerned but I really want to know c'mon tell me please!

Hunter: No just let it go I already told you how it happened

Luz: if you don't tell me I'm going to sleep outside

Hunter: You wouldn't

Luz:....ok you're right I wouldn't..Hunter please tell me!

Hunter: If I tell you will you go to bed and leave me alone

Luz: *Nods quickly while smiling*

Hunter: *Sigh* fine I had a nightmare about something that happened in the past with Belos except this time he told me I was a grimwalker there you happy now?

Luz:...

Hunter: What?

(Luz grabs him and hugs him)

Hunter: What are you doing?!

Luz: It's just a way of showing affection calm down

Hunter: Oh..*Gently wraps his arms around her*

Luz: *Quietly laughs* you can be so sweet sometimes y'know that?

Hunter: shut up

Luz: Ok sorry sorry.....just so you know you're not sleeping alone anymore

“I don’t know if I want it colored yet,” Hunter added, swiping through the pictures of the tattoo he was showing Caleb.

Caleb tipped his head as he thought, before just shrugging.

“Hunter,” Kelly rolled her eyes. “You can’t just get a tattoo every time you feel a human emotion.”

“Oh, yeah, I was gonna ask for your opinion, actually.” He turned his phone around, holding it so he was just flipping her off. “What do you think?”

She returned it.

“Where are you gonna get it?” Lyn asked, leaning back against the drive through counter.

He showed her the inside of his arm, above the elbow. “Here, or…” Then the side of his neck. “Here.”

“Oh, don’t encourage him,” Lee chuckled, scanning in the boats Kelly pushed down. “Kelly’s right.”

“Kelly dyes her hair when she doesn’t get enough Vitamin D! Why are we listening to her?! Your ears look like fucking swiss cheese!”

Kelly laughed so hard she had to rest her head on the counter. Caleb snort-laughed as he pulled prescriptions from the labeled bins and dumped them in the deletes bin.

“Get it on your arm,” Lyn concluded, laughing to herself as she worked on the insurance card that had been handed through the window to her. “Complete the sleeves.”

Hunter nearly snatched the card from her, the way he did, but she was ready for it and simply moved it out of his reach. “I’ve got it.”

Lee called over her shoulder. “Do you have a tattoo, Lynnie?”

“No, not yet. I’m planning on it though.”

“Really?!” Hunter stared at her.

“Yeah. Stop gaping and do something helpful.”

“Um, I’m sorry. You know tattoos mean needles right?”

Lyn looked over in horror. “Are you serious? Do they really?”

“Did you really not know that?”

“No! I thought they just had ‘em like stickers and stuck them on where you wanted and got the back of the paper wet!”

Hunter squinted disgustedly at her. “Are you bullshitting me?”

“No! I really thought-“ She tried to say it with a straight face but the laugh erupted out of her. “God, you should see your face! Yes, I know tattoos mean needles, you asshole!”

Kelly cackled. Hunter scrubbed his face under his glasses exasperatedly.

“I’m just saying,” Hunter continued after a minute. “One time you bit my shoulder while getting a flu shot. My arm hurt more than yours after that ordeal, and that was Caleb who was super careful and apologized the whole time and it lasted like. seven seconds? How do you think you can handle to get a tattoo?”

“I’ll just bring you with me and bite you more,” she answered without a single pause.

He rolled his eyes. “What would you even get? A Taylor Swift lyric?”

“No. But so what if I did, Mr. Avatar the Last Airbender? Preach to me from your tower of children’s anime.”

“My ATLA tattoo is cool.”

“Oh sure. Really gives you that ex-con, Rottweiler vibe. I’m shaking in my Docs.”

“Oh, yeah, and you’ll get… some basic-ass Pinterest-core tattoo on your ankle that says something motivational, won’t you?”

“Ew, no. Take it back.”

“Prove you have a better idea and I will.”

“I don’t know what exactly. But I want it to be simple and unique.”

“Do you don’t regret getting it?” He nodded in mock understanding. “Cause it’s gonna be on you forever?”

“No,” she said, turning her attention back to the computer. “So if I get kidnapped, the police can find me.”

“That’s smart!” Lee interjected. “My niece did that in college!”

Hunter turned this over in his head. “Well now I feel like an asshole.”

Lyn winked. “You can make up for it by letting me bite you while I’m getting it.”
