Thoughts on Darkstripe?
i think in the first arc he serves well enough as a foil for Longtail, a follower of Tigerstar who ultimately gets his life ended because he blindly followed someone who never gave a shit about him. He does it well! he's a slimy little man who poisons children, literally what else could you ask for in a side antagonist
but then midnight feels like a set up for an arc for him and he literally exists as the sad little punching bag in oots, it's played more for comedy...but could you imagine if he actually got a character arc in tbc after following cats who only mock him and belittle him. nope, apparently not! time to die because we need a firestar fan service moment

I like both ideas, bc it provides an opportunity for the Dark Forest to evolve in some way; I really like the idea of Curl taking lead and trying to make the Dark Forest cats united (not for any real GOAL, but bc they're still clan cats dammit, and separated in little pockets they'll never be able to grow).
The camp one is kinda obvious- it was a place of horror, but they need a place to stay. She never came too close to the place until she realized that if she wanted to unite the cats into a group, they needed a camp. And Starclan (she hisses at the irony) knows she'll never do it on her own. She enters, and it terrifies her- before she knows it shes backing away and fleeing. Over time though, she makes it further in, stays a bit longer. She finds the dens are still pretty decent, and that her heart feels a lot lighter as she rips down and destroys the cage. She's elated to find hierloom tools in the camp eventually- some are broken, but can be fixed. She purrs as she thinks how happy Darkstripe would be to have some proper cooking tools. This was a place of fear and death, yes, but it doesn't always have to be that way, does it?
The dogs less so but hear me out. At first she is haunted by the dogs, downright terrified- the gnashing of teeth, the frenzied barks. It's not even anything she can think or dwell on; as soon as she hears the howling and barking, she's immediately running away, fleeing as far as her paws take her. She knows she'll never actually die here, but she's still so, so scared. Maybe she comes to the conclusion on her own, or maybe someone else points it out, but eventually she realizes what you mentioned. She saved her CHILD- she should be PROUD, not scared. This is her greatest moment- her death an irrelevant footnote compared to her baby's life. Idk *exactly* how it should go, but she confronts her fear, and manages to 'tame' it. She is no longer afraid, this illusion holds no power over her. Either they fade away and just stop existing without Curl's fear to feed it, maybe they turn docile and harmless, idk. No matter what though, i have a feeling that something like THAT will catch the eye of some DF cats, sorta like a Tiny to Scourge deal. "She got rid of her land mar" into "She destroyed the land mar" to "She KILLED her land mar"- even the first one has to gain her some respect frok the others, and gives her a solid footing to try and get cats together and united.
Ask was sent a while ago, and I've been looking at it since then. It's a really good pitch, and I had things to do, so I just passively chewed it for a while. Both ideas are really good; so I was trying to think of some way to get them together.
I think I've got a good thought now;
I'll make Curlfeather's Land Mar dog related.
But they're not the same dogs that actually attacked her (which, depending on how the arc goes, might ACTUALLY be apparitions from the Dark Forest which Ashfur dragged out for his schemes. Specifically they'd be Brightheart's nightmares.)
Curlfeather's Hounds are blind. They hunt completely through "smell," and they smell her fear
I can keep her Land Mar being quite unique by actually having it follow her. Instead of it being a place she's trapped in, she's haunted by random dog events which will inevitably interrupt any plans she makes.
So she's perpetually close to making the group that she wants, uniting these demons just because it's what she deserves, but she is forced to flee when her hounds find her.
The camp she ends up using doesn't have to be her OWN Land Mar; I have another cat who actually has a 1:1 camp as theirs.
Morningstar, the deposed leader of ThunderClan who refused to allow his cats to fight. His is simply his camp, on the day where Pearstar invented the Right to Challenge and killed him for his position.
Morningstar's also HATED in the Dark Forest, because of his pacifism. Thinking about it, it's actually a great parallel for what I'm planning with Curlfeather!
She has disdain for her father because she sees him as weak. Reedwhisker swearing loyalty to The Kin after being tortured was her catalyst for believing he needed to die; that RiverClan would have a sniveling, careless leader.
So if it's Morningstar she ends up developing a bond with, they can help each other.
Morningstar can make her realize that her terrifying death by the dogs is something she can be proud of. That it isn't something to fear and revile, but a sign that when she was forced to choose between love and ambition, she chose love.
And Curlfeather can see that maybe people like Morningstar, who she'd always seen as weak, have wisdom she'd never considered. Uniting these cats isn't about power or recognition; it's just about helping to make everyone's lives better.
I can even keep the "empty camp" idea. Stepping into Morningstar's gloomy Land Mar, setting a little fire just to help with the mist, and realizing it's not all that bad. There's old tools laying strewn about, the dens are all in working order. We can make a proper home here, if we let it be.
There's probably a cage there because of Ashfur, maybe it's the one that he made the demons toss Rootspring into. Maybe I'll have the demons eventually trick Curlfeather's Sighthounds into Deadfrost's Labyrinth, if Shredtail's still around. He double-died in canon but I wouldn't be too opposed to killing someone else in his stead.
She'll also have to prove herself to the other demons. Most of them are pretty wary of "leader-types" after what happened with Tigerstar. Ironically the closest thing they have to a "leader" is Darkstripe because his soups are so good. If he doesn't like your vibe, you're cut off from the "Social Circle."
I need to make some sort of pun out of Rings of Hell and Social Circle. Social Ring of Hell.

sorry to spam you, but. what happens with scourge in your rewrite? he’s my favorite <3
Please, don't ever apologize for sending lots of asks! I love answering them and they can help me think of things I hadn't thought about before, or flesh an arc out. Send as many as you want, all of you!
Anyways, Scourge, the literal scourge of my brain, because I've had to rewrite him 3 different times.
This little guy has been reworked SO much. The first was to tell the story of a downfall, how sometimes people become worse than the people who hurt them, and pay for it, but showing that there was still 'Tiny' in there, having The Rise Of Scourge end with his spirit, now back to being Tiny, reuniting with Quince, while his older self faded away.
I... Hated the vibe. And I'm probably gonna save THAT kind of ending for someone else...
I then changed it to be somewhat more like Better Bones, but with Scourge remaining leader of Bloodclan.... But that also doesn't line up with the themes of Graystripe's Clan and Ravenpaw's Path, where Fury and Neo Bloodclan come into play.
I didn't wanna kill him. I didn't want him to join Thunderclan. I didn't want him to stay in Bloodclan....
Then, it hit me.
So... Meet the new Scourge. He can say the F word.
Scourge
His story is one about coming back from the brink of no return.
Firestar has noticed something about Scourge. The fur around his neck has rubbed off, his voice is brittle, swallowing is so difficult that he drools a bit, his breathing is shallow, and he's... Painfully underweight. Now, aside from the terrifying thought that is "how strong would this guy be if he WAS properly nourished?", he realizes that even if Scourge manages to make it through this battle, he will most likely not make it to next season.
In a flash, Firestar leaps onto Scourge's back, and sinks his teeth into his scruff and collar. Just like his new deputy Longtail did to him, he begins to pull, hoping and praying that Starclan will grant another miracle.
The collar snaps, just as Scourge is about to pass out, he takes in his first deep breath in ages. Firestar pays for it with his first life.
Swiftpaw, now posthumously named Swiftclaw, is chosen as his first life to lose. He feels the pain and terror and rage and desperation that Swiftclaw did, but he also puts pieces together. Why did this happen? The real why. Not just the dogs getting a taste for cat. Not Tigerstar's seemingly unending thirst for power. Before all that.
This problem is the fault of the Clans. Churning out radicalized youths who will hurt others because of the instilled belief that Might Makes Right. Sure, Scourge has taken things too far, and seems hellbent on revenge, but the seeds of this bloody battle were planted on Clan Land.
Blackfoot, Brokenstar, Leopardstar, Mistfang, Darkstripe, Longtail, even Crookedstar and Nightstar have all fallen victim to this belief at one point of another. Tigerstar was not made in a vacuum. This kind of "kill or be killed" mentality is not making the Clans strong, it is getting cats killed.
He sees another vision of himself fighting Scourge, killing him. But his sight flickers, and it makes him sick. Scourge's build is so much like Princess. His eyes the same shade of blue that Cloudtail has. He sees his own loved ones in the one he is fighting. He is sinking his teeth and claws into his own Kin.
And then, finally, he sees the vision of Tigerpaw being goaded by Thistleclaw to beat Tiny. Then Thistlepaw being rewarded by Adderfang for sparring with a Riverclan apprentice and tearing their ear. Adderfang charging into battle alongside his father, too eager to take a life from Heatherstar Heatherstep. Tigerclaw berating Darkpaw for failing a training exercise. Darkstripe getting his new apprentice Longpaw to eat prey instead of giving it to the sick elder... The vision ending with Longtail touching noses with the newly named Swiftpaw, a line of cats behind him so long it stretches into the shadows, endless kittens behind Swiftpaw, a mentorship doomed before it even began. Generations of cats hurting each other with no end in sight.
Enough is enough.
When he comes back to life, he slams against Scourge, dodging his attack again, and looking around to confirm his worst fears. All of Bloodclan's cats are fully grown. The Clans have brought apprentices. This victory is for the future, to Save The Clans as Fire Alone.
He slams Scourge against the ground, and knocks him out. However, Rooster, a Bloodclan cat, cries out that Scourge has been killed. To be fair to Rooster, Scourge is laying limp at the feet of Lionclan's leader.
While many Bloodclan cats scurry away, some to one day become Neo Bloodclan, Firestar taps the ground to call attention to Snowpaw, using a bit of Body Speaking to silently tell the deaf apprentice to sneak Scourge to camp, grabbing Scourge's torn collar and hiding it for later.
Bloodclan negotiations begin with the cats who stay and will later be seen in Graystripe's Clan.
Meanwhile, Snowpaw drags Scourge through the woods and sneaks him into Cinderpelt's den, scaring Cinderpelt half to death. She begins to treat Scourge, removing the enforced claw tips and gathering some food for him to eat without getting sick from the influx of sudden nutrition. Snowpaw is so friendly that he manages to become friends with Scourge while he is slowly recovering, hidden in the back of Cinderpelt's den and slowly putting on some weight as he eats with his friend while getting more comfortable with others. None of this would have happened if Snowkit had been taken by that hawk...
Eventually, he is healthy enough to groom himself properly and walk around. But... What now? Can he stay in Thunderclan? Would that be a safe option for him? Firestar is still teaching cats to unlearn their biases, and Scourge may be subject to suspicion and discrimination, which isn't fair to him.
Firestar talks with Princess, and the answer is clear.
His housefolk are not home now, haven't been in a week, but... Smudge is pretty lonely. Rusty left a bit of a hole there, he could use a good friend.
Scourge is brought to Smudge's home in the dark of the night, collar in his teeth, and welcomed inside. His collar tag reads 'Tiny' but with no phone number or microchip, Smudge's people take him in as their own, and Smudge isn't so lonely anymore.
Firestar left housecat life to be wild, proving himself with a broken collar, and Scourge is leaving wild life to be a housecat once more, saving himself with a broken collar.
He is seen during Firestar's Quest, slightly chubby and full of energy, and I might have him go on the Quest with them to round out the party. The important thing is, he is happy.
Princess's Short Story, currently unnamed, is about her passing, visiting her old friends and family as a spirit. She finds Scourge's spirit, along with Quince, Socks, and Smoke, enjoying a peaceful afterlife together.
He is allowed a place in Starclan and Sky-Starclan, and will reappear during Beyond The Stars as a supporting cast member.

The Pre-Firestar super editions are always going to be my favorite Warriors books and I don’t even care how dumb they get or that they fuck up characterization sometimes because they’re so much more about clan life. I understand that you need big changes and high stakes to make exciting story but I get so sick of changing up the books status quo or world rules all the time. I feel like TNP-Onward we’re constantly changing something big or laying the groundwork for it and when they’re not doing that they just kinda wait around and that time could be so much better used.
Plots that focus on one character and their place in their clan, their destinies, and their singular, personal arc stick with me so much better than cats or plots that change the world. Seeing how a clan functions, how different cats relate to each other and getting to spend time knowing side characters as individuals is really interesting and they never take the time to do that in the main series.
EXAMPLE Yellowfangs secret isn’t the best book ever but it’s a great look into Shadowclan and it makes all of those cats into real characters, not 2D Evil Guys. PLUS Brokenstar is a much more interesting villain and his crimes hit much harder when you can put names and identities to his victims AND supporters (which I think makes him and Tigerstar more interesting than like, Mudclaw. We never spend time with Webfoot so who cares that he likes Mudclaw. but we SEE that Longtail and Darkstripe are valued and respected, and hold values that drive their choices which fleshes out Tigerstar as a villain)
Idk I’d just love more page time exploring what we already have and know about the clans because it’s so full of potential but from what I can glean about the past couple years of books I am not getting that

hmm… what is Sandstorm like?
Sandstorm
Herbalist of the Fall Thunderbringer Sect
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kitten -> Apprentice -> Herbalist
She/her/hers cisgender, poly bisexual
Image IDs below the cut and information.
Grandparents: Crowtail Parents: Redowl, Patchedpelt Siblings: Chestnutclaw, Cherrytooth
Mates: Sun Firesong, Grouseflight Kits: Squirrelflight, Leafpool, Juniperpaw, Birchfall, Foxleap, Shrewbelly Grandkits: Petalblaze, Jaypatch, Hollylarch, Poppyfrost, Fernsong, Sorrelstripe, Sparkwood, Alderheart, Dandelionpelt
Mentor: Lynxstorm Former Apprentice(s): Poppyfrost, Bristlefrost
Sandstorm was close with her cousin, Dustdapple, as a kit. They played often, teasing Ravenpaw, Chestnutpaw, and Cherrypaw. They were a very tight-knit family. Dappletail and Redowl made sure they were close, and that everyone knew they had a support system to talk to. If only it worked. Once Ravencatcher disappeared and was pronounced dead, Dustdapple grew hostile. He began to talk with Darkstripe and Tigerchaser more, agreeing with everything they said. She watched her cousin grow further apart after the death of Chestnutclaw. Then, stop talking to her altogether as she chatted with Fireclaw as friends. Eventually, they start talking again. It takes time, of course it does, but it happens.
Personal Comments:
No real plans for her other than for her to live long and be the foster mother for the Original Three.
I really want her to die old. Her death is the tipping point in TBC.
---
[ Image ID - An image of Sandstorm in the Wildfire Rewrite. She is a cinnamon and red spotted tortoiseshell with white on her tail tip, paws, and underbelly. Her tortoiseshell dapples are in two spots; one on her face, and one that covers her entire tail and a small patch on her spine. End ID ]
[ Image ID - The same image above, but decorated with accessories. A huge pouch is fastened around her. It is brown and has two additional smaller pouches on the front. Two brown pouches hang off the bag. She wears a large necklace with a chunk of rabbit's fluff tied around it. She wears another necklace, smaller, which has three stones on it, each dyed a different color. The first one is a sage green, the next is a sickly yellow, and the last one is a dull ruddy. End ID ]

I'd love to hear your other headcanons whether that involves cute things or their identities!
Ask and you shall receive!!
Doestar and Fallowsong were fond of long walks together. Fallowsong teased her about taking the leader away from her duties, something Doestar always scoffed at. To her, being a good mate was one of her duties
Mothwing loved Leafpool and longed to be with her. She had considered telling her, but after Leafpool ran off with Crowfeather, Mothwing believed her beloved friend would never feel the same. She tucked those feelings close, never once whispering a word to the ThunderClan medicine cat. When Leafpool was killed, Mothwing felt her life grow a bit duller, and only then, after everything, did she actually want those stars above to be real. All so she could see her Leafpool again.
Russetfur had many crushes and flings throughout her life, though nothing ever stuck. She liked she-cats, she'd get the feelings, but the settling down part of a relationship was never in her cards.
Ravenpaw leaned on Barley a lot after leaving ThunderClan. There was a deep trust they had in each other, something that went beyond where they came from. Even when Ravenpaw was offered a seat in ThunderClan, and even the newly formed SkyClan, both he and Barley said no. Even being together in either clan, they didn't want that. Ravenpaw and Barley wanted to live their own lives, without the confines and rules other placed on them. While they deeply loved their friends and family, the two chose to be loners, together, despite the many paws they could turn to.
Darkstripe struggled with compulsory heterosexuality, believing it was what he was meant to do. After all, legacy was of a great honor, and only taking a mate, a she-cat at that, and siring kits would grant him a "true" legacy. He sired Brindleface's kits, giving the she-cat the kits she always wanted without the promise of a relationship. Both were content with this arrangement, relieved in fact. The kits grew up not even knowing their father, for he was so distant that the clan could never have guessed they were his. He buried his feelings for toms deep inside him, seeing them as points of weakness and shame.
Jayfeather was given a great honor by the stars above, the creator beyond StarClan. He could walk with them forever, becoming immortalized in history and the stars as Blue Jay, the patron true to ones self. But in being the Blue Jay, being true to himself, he could never do that. After completing his journey and giving up his blessed powers, Jayfeather willingly returns to his mortal body to continue walking with his beloved friends and family, rather than passing on to a path of glory. His heart would always belong to Kestrelflight, and though they couldn't be together, they always knew they were under that same starry sky, just a single moor hill away.
When Jayfeather fell during the Great Battle, Kestrelflight wouldn't leave his side. Though the ThunderClan medicine cat still breathed, he did not wake. For a moon's time, Jayfeather did not move, many wondering if he'd ever wake up. But Kestrelflight stayed there with him, refusing to leave his side. He stayed in ThunderClan during that moon, making sure Jayfeather drank water, tending to both his clan and ThunderClan, acting as the sole medicine cat to both after they lost Leafpool as well. He worked tirelessly, to points of exhaustion, but could always return to Jayfeather's side in the evenings, and rest beside him in absolute bliss. He believed Jayfeather would return to him, and sure enough... he did.
Ratscar and Oakfur were childhood friends, and eventually became mates. After his sister Snowbird had her own kits, Ratscar and Oakfur began to talk about raising a litter of their own. With the help of Oakfur's younger sister Applefur as a sire, they'd become the parents of Redkit, Olivekit, and Shrewkit.
Runningwind may the fastest cat in ThunderClan, but he was often challenged by Redtail. The tortoiseshell tom often put up quite the fight, even back when they were younger. They'd go so fast, they'd trip over each other, falling down the heavy pathway and laughing as they tried to scramble back to their paws and continue the race.
Dovewing's gift of sight allowed her to see the territories clear as day, and a useful part of that meant she could find herbs wherever they were. With Briarlight helping Jayfeather in the medicine cat den, Dovewing would use her gift to find valuable herbs and bring them back, all in excuses to chat with Briarlight more and keep her company without Jayfeather snapping at her for taking up space in the den.
Hollystar never wanted kits, for being pregnant always sounded rather uncomfortable to her. However, Cinderheart never minded the idea. She talked with Hollystar about taking a sire a few times, but Hollystar always turned it down, finding even more discomfort in the idea of her mate carrying another cat's kits. Whether it was truthful or excuses to avoid motherhood, something she firmly believed she wasn't cut out for, circumstances would change when Flamekit was left orphaned, and Cinderheart believed the little one needed someone to look to now more than ever...
Hollystar and Cinderheart loved to sneak out at night and watch the views of the lake. Their thick fur kept them warm, even in the colder seasons. Those harsh breezes pushed them closer together, their fur brushing close against the other. Every night they'd watch the stars, pointing out which ones shone the brightest to them that night.
After helping Graystripe reach the mountains to visit his son Stormfur, Flipclaw was introduced to a way of life he had never seen before, and it was all through Feather. The two toms loved to perform little shows for the kits, Flipclaw enjoying playing the part of an eagle or mountain lion while Feather was the hero that fought him off and saved everyone. They loved seeing the kits laugh and squeal when Feather barreled Flipclaw over.
Tallstar couldn't help but wonder what it would've been like if Jake had joined him in WindClan. He'd try to pick some names, like Orangefur, and Fuzzybelly - but his favorite? Well, while nothing could ever beat the sweet sound that was Jake, Fireheart didn't sound too bad...
Gorsetail's fluidity was pretty even all things considered. Her clan got pretty used to just asking in the morning what she was feeling like and she'd say. He'd then operate under that until she let them know otherwise, and it became pretty systematic. Her brother Crowfeather and her nephew Breezepelt, despite what one may think, were actually pretty good at being mindful and asking.
Lark was born the son of Stormfur and Brook, alongside her brother Pine. Stoneteller Crag received a message in the waterfall, believing it was a sign Lark would be the next Stoneteller, and the young kit was trained from a young age to one day take the mantle. In truth, Lark never felt comfortable in her body, nor her position. She was the revered prince of her home, but she longed to be someone else. In truth the sign was of her leaving the group to find her place within the clans, and she'd flee to seek out the beautiful auroras only she could see, and the song of a silver she-cat that whispered in her ear. Upon finding RiverClan, well, she took on her new identity - the she-cat, Larkpaw!
The first cat Redtail told of his feelings about his identity to was Spottedleaf. The two were apprentices, and Redpaw came to her at the time hoping for advice on how he could tell Rosetail. He didn't really have anything to worry about, but it gave him reassurance that Spottedpaw was at his side. Willowpaw admittedly felt a bit sad being left out, though she never said anything.
Tree's affinity with ae/aem pronouns came from aer kinship with air. Ae always was an introspective tom, finding beauty in little things, and a big one was the air we breathed, and then released, circulating as we all share each breath. Like a tree, ae too took in that oxygen. Everything alive used it. Those pronouns made aem feel one with nature.

CHARRED LEGACY CHAPTER ONE LET'S GOOOOOO
Tumblr media
OOUGHH THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SET UP!!! SURPRISE ANALYSIS TIME!!
"...Thornkit still slurred and stumbled over his words, even with as much as Frostfur had worked with him on speaking clearly, and he had been speaking shorter and shorter sentences recently, and at a much lower volume. His siblings understood him just fine..."
hm. HM. That's... worrying. I wonder what could be the cause of this malady?
"Fireheart contained another, much heavier sigh. Since the trial, the dark tabby had hardly said more than one word to anyone, and they had to speak to him first. Fireheart hadn’t dared start a conversation with him—Darkstripe had never liked him to begin with, but since the end result of the trial was largely on Fireheart’s shoulders, the hatred in Darkstripe’s eyes burned Fireheart’s back whenever the two had to cross paths. He’d done his best to give the older warrior space, which was difficult when they shared a den."
Bad vibes bad vibes BAD VIBES. I Do Not Like This It Is Foreboding!! Don't do something stupid Darkstripe.
Now, the most concerning thing:
"The trial and the near-murder preceding it had hurt everyone, but it had broken something in the Clan’s leader. Only a few days after the deputy’s execution, Bluestar had become a rare sight. She now walked alone in the forest or holed up in her den, only coming out to order patrols or respond to something Speckletail asked her about. It had been part of the quiet conversation for some time now, but no one dared to broach the topic to Bluestar—even Fireheart, her former apprentice, or Whitecloud, her nephew."
:( someone SHOULD speak to her about this, probably Fireheart or Whitestorm, but who knows how she'll handle it...
Good golly, it's great to be back. I can't answer much of this, but know I'm grinning like a maniac. I CAN say that Thornpaw's speech impediments are just a part of his character - there's no real plot relevance to them, just personal relevance.

Thoughts on Graystripe?
i'm so glad he's dead. once bramblestar is dead, i want the line of cats who are unnecessarily favored by the authors to end once and for all.
like i enjoy graystripe, he's cute and funny and i get why people still really like him....but he doesn't get to really ever deal with the consequences of his actions.
He routinely ditches his apprentice and puts the work onto Firestar -> Brackenfur never holds resentment towards Graystripe and for whatever reason despite doing jack shit this is still enough to make him qualify for deputy.
He ditches his Clan -> he barely gets any resistance, the bit he does get is from Darkstripe who is portrayed to be in the wrong.
He ditches his kids in RiverClan who nearly face execution because they're half-clan -> they never resent him despite their only real kin abandoning them and not being there to defend them when they were rounded up to be k i l l e d
he never defends briarlight or his other children against millie -> the narrative never blames him, his kids never hold resentment towards him. his absence puts more onus on the mother, he's a garbage father and the narrative never wants to address that
He'd be more enjoyable if he did face consequences! If his relationship with his mates and children was strained, his Clan didn't respect him, and he wasn't a good deputy. it's okay if he suck, male characters getting consequences is good!!!!!!

Here are some of my personal favorite first arc family tree headcanons
Willowpelt and Darkstripe as littermates. With Darkstripe called old and Willowpelt called one of Bluestar's senior warriors once, i think it makes a lot of sense for them to be the same age. They also share unique pelts, being pale gray and silver stripes, which in real life would probably be the result of the silver/smoke gene. Because of that I also often give them to One-eye as her kits, as she is another pale gray cat.
I do really like the idea of Graystripe being related to them, but because it's stated that Sorrel-Rain-Soot are Willowpelt's first litter, I like to tack Graystripe on as Willowpelt and Darkstripe's younger brother from a second litter.
Next, I'm a strong advocate for Lionheart and Speckletail being littermates. Lionheart is a senior warrior, and Speckletail doesn't become an elder until the later half of the first series. I think them being siblings makes a lot more sense than Speckletail having kits immediately after becoming a warrior with a cat way older than her.
This next one changes a bit as I see fit, but I generally like Frostfur, Redtail, and Spottedleaf being the kits of Dappletail, with Spotted being from a second litter. Frostfur and Redtail being older-but-not-yet senior warriors who lost their deaf littermate as a kit feels right to me, and still keeps Spottedleaf related to the other tortoiseshell cats in the clan while also giving Dappletail her implied second litter.
I drop and add Brindleface as Spottedleaf's littermate depending on whether I consider Redtail the father of her kits as well. I really like the two young she-cats being sisters, being a bit older than Longtail but only just establishing their place in the clan when Rusty shows up.
Feel free to ask me about any other of my thunderclan family tree ideas! These ones are just the most consistent for me, if I went into every option I consider for all the cats we'd be here all day
