I like both ideas, bc it provides an opportunity for the Dark Forest to evolve in some way; I really like the idea of Curl taking lead and trying to make the Dark Forest cats united (not for any real GOAL, but bc they're still clan cats dammit, and separated in little pockets they'll never be able to grow).
The camp one is kinda obvious- it was a place of horror, but they need a place to stay. She never came too close to the place until she realized that if she wanted to unite the cats into a group, they needed a camp. And Starclan (she hisses at the irony) knows she'll never do it on her own. She enters, and it terrifies her- before she knows it shes backing away and fleeing. Over time though, she makes it further in, stays a bit longer. She finds the dens are still pretty decent, and that her heart feels a lot lighter as she rips down and destroys the cage. She's elated to find hierloom tools in the camp eventually- some are broken, but can be fixed. She purrs as she thinks how happy Darkstripe would be to have some proper cooking tools. This was a place of fear and death, yes, but it doesn't always have to be that way, does it?
The dogs less so but hear me out. At first she is haunted by the dogs, downright terrified- the gnashing of teeth, the frenzied barks. It's not even anything she can think or dwell on; as soon as she hears the howling and barking, she's immediately running away, fleeing as far as her paws take her. She knows she'll never actually die here, but she's still so, so scared. Maybe she comes to the conclusion on her own, or maybe someone else points it out, but eventually she realizes what you mentioned. She saved her CHILD- she should be PROUD, not scared. This is her greatest moment- her death an irrelevant footnote compared to her baby's life. Idk *exactly* how it should go, but she confronts her fear, and manages to 'tame' it. She is no longer afraid, this illusion holds no power over her. Either they fade away and just stop existing without Curl's fear to feed it, maybe they turn docile and harmless, idk. No matter what though, i have a feeling that something like THAT will catch the eye of some DF cats, sorta like a Tiny to Scourge deal. "She got rid of her land mar" into "She destroyed the land mar" to "She KILLED her land mar"- even the first one has to gain her some respect frok the others, and gives her a solid footing to try and get cats together and united.
Ask was sent a while ago, and I've been looking at it since then. It's a really good pitch, and I had things to do, so I just passively chewed it for a while. Both ideas are really good; so I was trying to think of some way to get them together.
I think I've got a good thought now;
I'll make Curlfeather's Land Mar dog related.
But they're not the same dogs that actually attacked her
(which, depending on how the arc goes, might ACTUALLY be apparitions from the Dark Forest which Ashfur dragged out for his schemes. Specifically they'd be Brightheart's nightmares.)
Curlfeather's Hounds are blind. They hunt completely through "smell," and they smell her fear
I can keep her Land Mar being quite unique by actually having it follow her. Instead of it being a place she's trapped in, she's haunted by random dog events which will inevitably interrupt any plans she makes.
So she's perpetually close to making the group that she wants, uniting these demons just because it's what she deserves, but she is forced to flee when her hounds find her.
The camp she ends up using doesn't have to be her OWN Land Mar; I have another cat who actually has a 1:1 camp as theirs.
Morningstar, the deposed leader of ThunderClan who refused to allow his cats to fight. His is simply his camp, on the day where Pearstar invented the Right to Challenge and killed him for his position.
Morningstar's also HATED in the Dark Forest, because of his pacifism. Thinking about it, it's actually a great parallel for what I'm planning with Curlfeather!
She has disdain for her father because she sees him as weak. Reedwhisker swearing loyalty to The Kin after being tortured was her catalyst for believing he needed to die; that RiverClan would have a sniveling, careless leader.
So if it's Morningstar she ends up developing a bond with, they can help each other.
Morningstar can make her realize that her terrifying death by the dogs is something she can be proud of. That it isn't something to fear and revile, but a sign that when she was forced to choose between love and ambition, she chose love.
And Curlfeather can see that maybe people like Morningstar, who she'd always seen as weak, have wisdom she'd never considered. Uniting these cats isn't about power or recognition; it's just about helping to make everyone's lives better.
I can even keep the "empty camp" idea. Stepping into Morningstar's gloomy Land Mar, setting a little fire just to help with the mist, and realizing it's not all that bad. There's old tools laying strewn about, the dens are all in working order. We can make a proper home here, if we let it be.
There's probably a cage there because of Ashfur, maybe it's the one that he made the demons toss Rootspring into. Maybe I'll have the demons eventually trick Curlfeather's Sighthounds into Deadfrost's Labyrinth, if Shredtail's still around. He double-died in canon but I wouldn't be too opposed to killing someone else in his stead.
She'll also have to prove herself to the other demons. Most of them are pretty wary of "leader-types" after what happened with Tigerstar. Ironically the closest thing they have to a "leader" is Darkstripe because his soups are so good. If he doesn't like your vibe, you're cut off from the "Social Circle."
I need to make some sort of pun out of Rings of Hell and Social Circle. Social Ring of Hell.

I’m making a list of voice claims??? I think they’re called??? For the FNF ppl. What are ESG funds and how to invest in the best one?
Mutual fund investments come in various forms. You can pick equity funds for their potentially attractive returns or debt funds for their stability. If you want the best of both worlds, you can pick balanced funds that combine both equity and debt instruments.
Different funds, different characteristics. Each of these funds helps in fulfilling the different investment needs of the investors.
More and more investors have started investing in a more sustainable manner. Sustainable investing can be done in three ways – socially responsible investing, impact investing, and ESG investing.

ESG investing involves ESG funds, which are a type of mutual fund scheme that follows the ESG investment theme. Let’s elaborate.
ESG Theme – the concept
ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. The ESG theme encompasses companies whose activities and operations are conducive to the ESG trinity. Here’s how it works–
E as in Environmental
Companies whose activities do not harm the environment qualify under this category. Such companies take measures to reduce their carbon footprint, minimise pollution caused by their production or operations, have a good waste disposal system and also preserve natural resources like water.
S as in Social
Companies that contribute to the development of society, as well as their employees, qualify in this category. Such companies take measures to create gender equality, have pay parity between their male and female employees, provide employee wellness and benefit programs and also contribute to social causes.
G as in Governance
Corporate governance measures whether companies follow the regulatory framework of the industry that they operate in. Companies that have strong compliance measures, follow the regulations, conduct themselves ethically, have a strong whistleblower policy and take strict actions against internal wrongdoings are said to follow good governance. Such companies, then, qualify under the Governance parameter of the ESG trinity.
How are companies measured or ranked on ESG?
Organizations like Morningstar, MSCI, Sustainalytics judge companies on ESG standards. They allocate grades or scores to companies on their ESG practices. These grades and scores measure if the company is ESG compliant or not.
For example, as per MSCI grading, companies are graded as follows –
AA or AAA – Leader
A, BBB or BB – Average
B or CCC – Laggard
Needless to say, companies in the AA or AAA category are stronger on the ESG parameters than companies in the lower parameters.
Morningstar, on the other hand, scores companies from 1 to 50 where 50 denotes the highest risk and 1 denotes the lowest.
What are ESG Funds?
ESG funds are thematic mutual funds that invest in companies that are ESG compliant. They are equity-oriented mutual fund schemes which invest at least 65% of their portfolio in the stock of ESG compliant companies. The fund, thus, invests in sustainable and socially compliant companies across all market capitalisations.
Features of ESG funds
Some of the salient features of ESG funds are as follows –
These funds are exposed to volatility risks since they are equity-oriented. However, for the risks that you take, the return potential is also high.
You can invest in ESG funds in a lump sum or take the SIP route, wherein you can invest in installments. If you choose the SIP option, the minimum amount of each instalment might start from Rs.500.
ESG funds come in both dividend and growth options. While the dividend option pays regular dividends, the growth option reinvests the profit earned by the portfolio for higher returns.
ESG Funds attract equity taxation. Short-term capital gains earned on redemption within 12 months are taxed at 15%. Long-term capital gains, however, earned on redemption after 12 months are tax-free up to Rs.1 lakh. If the returns exceed this limit, only the excess is taxable at a rate of 10%
Benefits of investing in ESG funds
Some of the benefits of investing in ESG funds include the following –

If you are a strong advocate for environmental or social causes or you want to do your bit for the society at large, ESG funds can be a good choice. By investing in companies that resonate with your sentiments, you can take a step towards supporting the causes that you believe in.

According to a Survey conducted by the CFA Institute across institutional and retail investors, 60% of the Indian investors said that they invested in ESG funds for higher risk-adjusted returns.
Being equity-oriented schemes, ESG funds can give you attractive returns over the long-term period. Moreover, since the companies follow stringent norms, they are less likely to wind up the business. As such, you can enjoy the potential for higher risk-adjusted returns.

I can’t draw so let me tell you the personalities of my cookie ocs and y’all can go from there
Caramel mocha cookie: I might have accidentally made her a Cream puff clone. Oops. She’s got some differences though! She’s a lil reporter, (and a Rougefort fan ogh) despite the fact her family (the coffee family? Don’t ask me I'm just here) wants her to study magic and stuff. Rarely uses her magic, as “rebellion” or something I guess. She ends up getting a wand or something and using her abilities more though! I also see her participating in that princess contest (Durian cookie is forced to wear a suit and she hates it, though less than a formal dress)
Durian cookie: Remember that spiky lizard pirate guy? I made him a daughter. Don’t ask why. Her personality is... Exactly what you would expect. Loud and boisterous. She’s like Caramel Mocha’s powerup, whenever she’s (Durian cookie) around she (Caramel Mocha) “feels braver, like I could take on anyone and anything”. (Totally not lesbians nope not here haha) honestly, I see her dual wielding guns like Rye cookie. I feel like if the dragons/dragon worshipers (or whatever they are) met her, there would be much confusion (mistaking her for a dragon).
Star Candy cookie: I’m kind of on the fly on her personality. Right now, she’s just a sweet and energetic bb. Also, she wields a morningstar. (GET IT BECAUSE STAR-)
Tapioca Dragon cookie: Tapioca is the little ball things in bubble tea, fun fact! I made her before the ivory(?) dragon was revealed. She’s probably the friendliest dragon out there. She can make big tapioca pearls, which she can trap people in. Originally, she was quite sadistic, actively hunting down, kidnapping, and then tormenting cookies, but then I decided to change that, and now she’s basically a less loud, but VERY stubborn Durian cookie. She still occasionally messes with people, don’t get me wrong, just not as much. She has a staff that looks like the straws you get with the bubble tea (you know the ones)

BB!Morningstar
[ID: Morningstar from warrior cats for the Better Bones AU. He has hornlike, curved ears, sharp cheek fluffs, and a beard. His chest fur is heart-shaped, and the fur is 'bleeding' at the bottom.]
I loooooove Code of the Clans and also Morningstar, but this time around, his story has a very different ending.
Clinging to pacifism at all costs, Morningstar's parable is a cautionary tale to the cats of the modern clans. An ancient leader of ThunderClan, Morningstar refused to allow his cats to fight. His mate was killed, he lost his deputy, and eventually refused to challenge WindClan for herbs that would help his Clan in a Color Cough outbreak.
Eventually, ThunderClan couldn't take it anymore. The Cleric, Pearnose, rallied the warriors and rebelled against Morningstar. As he lay dying, the cat who would become Pearstar leapt onto the highrock and announced a new addition to the Code,
"Never again will a cowardly leader deny us our birthright as Clan cats! Let StarClan shine upon this commandment; that all fully trained Warriors have the Right to Challenge, and this shall not be infringed upon without reason!"
The last thing he saw as the light left his eyes was ThunderClan streaming out of camp, Pearstar leading her first raid as Cleric-turned-leader.
Alignment: Dark Forest, ex-ThunderClan.
Time Period: Code Era
Relations: Songbird (mate), Pearstar (cleric), Ryewhisker and Cloudberry (DF friends)
His Land Mar is ThunderClan's Camp, with a permanent, hazy fog settled about it. It's gloomy, but not so bad when you get a fire going.
Design-wise I wanted him to look like a devil, but also I really loooove the old Wayne design for him. I may revise this one a couple times until I strike a better balance.
His chest is literally a bleeding heart because I think that is very funny
In the Dark Forest, funny enough, he is one of the most hated spirits.
75% of the other demons hate his guts or think he's a total coward.
It's annoying to him that they think he's a pushover. He has actually had to fight to avoid getting mauled by certain cats.
Morningstar surprises people with how strong he can be, when he is forced to fight.
He tends to hang out with Ryewhisker and Cloudberry, who have been there even longer than him. They're super chill with company.
One of the few cats who doesn't help Tigerstar, though Hawkfrost did try to goad him into, "finally standing up for himself"
It didn't work.

What are ESG funds and how to invest in the best one?
Mutual fund investments come in various forms. You can pick equity funds for their potentially attractive returns or debt funds for their stability. If you want the best of both worlds, you can pick balanced funds that combine both equity and debt instruments.
Different funds, different characteristics. Each of these funds helps in fulfilling the different investment needs of the investors.
More and more investors have started investing in a more sustainable manner. Sustainable investing can be done in three ways – socially responsible investing, impact investing, and ESG investing.

ESG investing involves ESG funds, which are a type of mutual fund scheme that follows the ESG investment theme. Let’s elaborate.
ESG Theme – the concept
ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. The ESG theme encompasses companies whose activities and operations are conducive to the ESG trinity. Here’s how it works–
E as in Environmental
Companies whose activities do not harm the environment qualify under this category. Such companies take measures to reduce their carbon footprint, minimise pollution caused by their production or operations, have a good waste disposal system and also preserve natural resources like water.
S as in Social
Companies that contribute to the development of society, as well as their employees, qualify in this category. Such companies take measures to create gender equality, have pay parity between their male and female employees, provide employee wellness and benefit programs and also contribute to social causes.
G as in Governance
Corporate governance measures whether companies follow the regulatory framework of the industry that they operate in. Companies that have strong compliance measures, follow the regulations, conduct themselves ethically, have a strong whistleblower policy and take strict actions against internal wrongdoings are said to follow good governance. Such companies, then, qualify under the Governance parameter of the ESG trinity.
How are companies measured or ranked on ESG?
Organizations like Morningstar, MSCI, Sustainalytics judge companies on ESG standards. They allocate grades or scores to companies on their ESG practices. These grades and scores measure if the company is ESG compliant or not.
For example, as per MSCI grading, companies are graded as follows –
AA or AAA – Leader
A, BBB or BB – Average
B or CCC – Laggard
Needless to say, companies in the AA or AAA category are stronger on the ESG parameters than companies in the lower parameters.
Morningstar, on the other hand, scores companies from 1 to 50 where 50 denotes the highest risk and 1 denotes the lowest.
What are ESG Funds?
ESG funds are thematic mutual funds that invest in companies that are ESG compliant. They are equity-oriented mutual fund schemes which invest at least 65% of their portfolio in the stock of ESG compliant companies. The fund, thus, invests in sustainable and socially compliant companies across all market capitalisations.
Features of ESG funds
Some of the salient features of ESG funds are as follows –
These funds are exposed to volatility risks since they are equity-oriented. However, for the risks that you take, the return potential is also high.
You can invest in ESG funds in a lump sum or take the SIP route, wherein you can invest in installments. If you choose the SIP option, the minimum amount of each instalment might start from Rs.500.
ESG funds come in both dividend and growth options. While the dividend option pays regular dividends, the growth option reinvests the profit earned by the portfolio for higher returns.
ESG Funds attract equity taxation. Short-term capital gains earned on redemption within 12 months are taxed at 15%. Long-term capital gains, however, earned on redemption after 12 months are tax-free up to Rs.1 lakh. If the returns exceed this limit, only the excess is taxable at a rate of 10%

Being equity-oriented schemes, ESG funds can give you attractive returns over the long-term period. Moreover, since the companies follow stringent norms, they are less likely to wind up the business. As such, you can enjoy the potential for higher risk-adjusted returns.
The returns are also inflation-adjusted so that your corpus keeps pace with the increasing economy. This can help you create a corpus for your financial goals and meet them.
Potential to capitalise on changing preferences
Consumer preference is slowly changing as millennials are becoming more aware of the environment, social causes and good governance. As such, they back organisations that are in sync with their perceptions.
Moreover, the preference for investing in ESG compliant companies is increasing globally. As per a Report by Bloomberg Intelligence, ESG assets are expected to exceed the USD 35 trillion mark by the year 2025.
