They have to go on a 14 year long journey to finish the job but by god they will do it.#The sheer chaos in the Audio Drama is really fantastic. Reminds me of those traincar murder mysteries.#The lights go off and there's a scream and then BOOM dead body. Who did that!!!#Okay it was qi deviation and he did it to stop himself from killing his brother. He did it to himself.#JGY sadly has the worst alibi ever though. Both the strongest motivation and also uhhh presence at the scene.#Not to nitpick but as someone who loves murder mysteries - I do feel like even *one* other suspect would have made it stronger.#I get that he tried to make it look like an inevitable Qi Deviation and that it *is* something within the family legacy.#And a big part of NHS figuring it all out comes down to his own perceptiveness and intelligence.#If you weren't close enough to JGY and NMJ of course it looks like an accident.#Sadly 'guy who plays the 'poor little meow meow card'' is also weak to 'guy who plays the 'poor little meow meow card''.#NHS was the better subtle manipulator at the end. That's probably the strongest mystery part of MDZS. And why he's in my top 5.#My man pulled the 'kill him just as he falls from the top of his game and loses everything' gambit and I love him for it.

Kingdom Hearts - Halloween Town

#kingdom hearts #kh1 #halloween town #scenery #my gif #not sure if i ever really registered that the sky is red when you're in the town #as well as all of the background noises that constantly play. from snarling dogs to weird scurrying and strange laughter #i had to talk myself out of the idea of doing a quick replay of this game so that i could include oogie boogie's manor #because it's such an intricately designed location. they really went all out on it but it disappears after you defeat him #i felt so unsatisfied leaving it out of this set #so i elected to just use shots from some cutscenes and painted out any characters in the way #saved me so much time and it worked out quite well #i have a couple of other gifs from this world that i'll save for halloween since that's coming up next month :]

hopeless time loop. the way out isn’t to save everyone. the way out isn’t to save even one person. the way out isn’t to change anything. the way out is accepting how it happened the first time is how it always will be. that’s how you acted, that’s how they acted, that’s how you would have acted every time if you weren’t given the curse of hindsight. the way out is accepting you can’t fix the past; you can only forgive yourself for it.

#there's this game i love called little hope that plays with these ideas (though not with a time loop)#i do love time loops narratives that explore how a person is confronted with their life and their choices #when forced to live the same day over and over again #and i LOVE time loops that try to reverse mistakes made and lives lost #but to see a character put themselves through loops upon loops upon loops #trying to rectify past mistakes (especially in the case where people died) only to be confronted with the reality it isn't working #and even in a loop where they save everyone the loop just resets #because the universe is essentially saying 'no that isn't how it happened and you know that's not how it happened'#it compels me!#i feel similarly about time travel where time 'fights back'#like this idea that there is a central timeline that time does not like being diverted from #so it will try to course correct itself #you save lincoln from an assassination only for him to die in a train crash #it's a cool way to confront the idea of fate #anyway all tragedies are hopeless time loops thank you for coming to my ted talk #a shout into the void #1k

#before anybody says anything i have never played cotl in my entire life and i dont plan to. but. crow showed me some narilamb art #and i. well.. every single day i think about the influence touya would have had on shouto as an older brother.

he has to take him everywhere he goes, so they're always jamming to the same hardcore music in touya's shitty car. shouto, obviously, develops a taste for the same bands, same songs. shouto is also in the ride-along to buy cigarettes and beer at midnight, and touya threatens his whole entire life if he tells rei, but shouto would never because he likes going too much.

shouto 100% would attempt to kick the ass of anyone that talked shit to his brother. little string bean, doesn't matter, this little boy is throwing HANDS for touya, and touya very much has the attitude of "no one can fuck with my little brother but me". whenever shouto gets in trouble for doing something he shouldn't be doing, touya is always taking the fall for him, no questions asked. shouto lies for touya like it's second nature.

shouto wants an earring because of touya, and touya probably GIVES the piercing to him, which makes enji blow a gasket. touya learns to play the drums and then shouto wants to, too — though he ends up being better than touya and touya promptly quits after that. touya teaches him to drive. shouto gets drunk for the first time with touya BECAUSE touya wants to be there to take care of him. they hate each other, they get into fist fights all the time, rolling around the house as fuyumi screams at both of them. they're best friends. they understand each other more than anyone else ever could.

#they're partners in crime #they fight CONSTANTLY especially at home #shouto makes a face at touya and flips him off and it's SO TOUYA. like SUCH ATTITUDE #touya will sit next to rei at dinner all 'mom what the fuck is wrong with your shitty kid' and — he's scolded for cussing — but #rei is like. are you serious rn. he's exactly like you #which they both VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE WITH #touya pretends to throw up violently at the accusation and shouto twists his little face up like that's the worst thing he's ever heard #and then later they're both playing a video game together ajfbduskak #like they are such BROTHERS #natsuo is there too but i think he's so inbetween them both that he wants to be his own person #shouto is young enough to be influenced by EVERYTHING touya does #and touya is like 😒😒😒 you're so goddamn annoying 😒😒😒😒 are you coming with me to the store or what 😒😒😒😒#peeling my skin off i want this so much :)#screaming with my mouth closed :)#i dont even know what to tag this skgbsiakqk #✿ willow writes #✿ thoughts: dabi/touya
