Fanfiction Writer's Appreciation Day #2:
The Sun Swings East by @feybarn
Over and over, Obi-Wan woke up and wished he hadn't. Palpatine wouldn't stop until Obi-Wan had Fallen, wouldn't stop until Obi-Wan gave Palpatine a shattered galaxy in payment for his release.
I was consumed by the theme for this book - I wanted so bad to bring the sunrise motif into it, and I also wanted to bring back the inset mirror design. I leaned a lot harder into the hexagon shapes on this one too, and I stole the work printer for color printing for a steadily progressing sunrise.
I got super lucky that I had 4 colors of Colibri bookcloth I was able to layer to create the effect on the cover, with the sun coming over the eastern horizon. And then of course I had to give it some gradient endbands and marbled endpapers to match!
I was also very lucky to be allowed to include art by @wrennette and @lucife56 in this copy, as well as a bonus "All Those Little Things" codexwan chaser. Thank you to all of you - KJ_Feybarn, wrennette, lucife56 - all of your beautiful creations and how they interact is what makes fandom such a fantastic place. But since it is FFWAD - thank you KJ_Feybarn, for your striking and inspiring writing!

Cody has always found it difficult to tell Rex no. He finds it impossible when Rex has been dark for a week on a mission gone bad and is currently pumped full of drugs.
Apparently, this extends to inviting other people into their bed. It'd be easier if Cody didn't want a certain Jedi there, too.

So this dinner party should be fine. Everyone’s an adult after all.
Decided to go ahead and post the first chapter of this fic after reading it a bit. I was contemplating trying to hold off until it was finished, but it’s longer than anything I’ve ever really attempted before so I’m gonna aim for feedback as I go as a motivator.

We've made a Tumblr!
We're a tiny little Star Wars Fic Exchange started for fun by a few people wanting to swap and gift each other fics and pairings you don't see enough of, or pairings done a particular way you don't see enough of.
We had fun last year, and so we thought we'd advertise a little more this year and see if anyone was interested.
We have a very rough schedule we're thinking of, Novemeber for Tag nominations, Sign Ups early December, assignments out Mid-December, and final assignment due the end of February.

Summary: Cody & Rex die working for the Rebellion, & find themselves on Mandalore during Obi-Wan’s mission to protect Satine.
This was prompted by @sidesteps35 (idk why tumblr won’t let me tag you, m’dear), as Cody/Obi-Wan/Rex, time travel, with the additional request that Cody and Rex be the time travellers, rather than Obi-Wan.
"You know me," their general said, taking a step closer, reaching a hand towards Cody's face. There was wonder in his voice, his eyes bright with interest in the way they'd always get when something caught his attention. It was a familiar look, for all it had often resulted in a headache for Cody, and they treasured it, because they'd never thought to see it again.
"Yeah," Rex said for both of them, voice gone tight in the way that Cody knew meant he was trying to hide, to contain a reaction to something.
Their general's hand brushed along the side of Cody's face, cupping their cheek, and they couldn't stop themself from leaning into the touch, breathing hard past a choking of grief and relief and an apology on the tip of their tongue, held back behind their teeth because this version of their general could not possibly understand the cause, the need. They wanted to reach up, to catch their general's hand, keep him there, close, because Cody had already failed to keep him safe, had never dared to imagine a second chance.

The warm night air was rich with the heady floral notes of spring, the moon was reflecting serenely off the water of the lake, and it was all making one thing abjectly clear — Naboo was a terrible planet to be miserable on.
Finally finished chapter 2 of the vaguely based on Persuasion Codexwan fic. I can’t promise fast updates, but I can promise this one has Obi-wan POV and a flashback to what exactly happened at the end of the war that got things twisted.
