i know most of us are on Alecto's side because of *gestures broadly* reasons but given
a) how tazmuir likes to recontextualize stuff
b) the OG lyctors were scared shitless of her (Augustine saying she was a mad monster in a human suit and John went and made her worse? like i know they were pissed off about the resurrection beast stuff but there has to have been more to it than that?)
c) in the poem (Christabel) that is Cristabel Oct's namesake there is a MYSTERIOUS BLONDE WOMAN who is NOT HUMAN and moves into the castle and BEWITCHES THE LORD and CASTS A SPELL ON CHRISTABEL SO SHE CAN'T WARN ANYONE
i just. sort of. you know. i wonder. if it means anything.
EDIT: Y'ALL KEEP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH
I NEVER SAID ALECTO GOING APESHIT WAS BAD
I NEVER SAID YOU COULDN'T WANT THAT FOR HER
I WAS JUST NOTING FOR MYSELF MOSTLY THAT OUR FIRST EXPOSURE TO HER AS SWEET NONA WAS MAYBE GOING TO BE SUBVERTED TO THE EXTREME

Lucian's Library: Leftovers
Feel free to suggest never written books you wish you could read.
The Coleridge got suggested too late for Lucian's library 7 and Unfinished Tales won 7, but hasn't a first round winner to go against, so I'm giving them a head to head

You can find part 1 here and the poll(s) that will follow in my 'narrative poems' tag.
I have other poetry polls in my 'poetry' tag.
Christabel
The Ballad of Reading Gaol
The Hunting of the Snark
Æneid
Poetic Edda
The Canterbury Tales
The Ramayana
The Lady of Shalott
The Odyssey
For my next poll, I need to know : would you call Anne Carson's Autobiography of Red a narrative poem ? I've seen it in a list but I haven't read it and I'm not so sure about it.

CHRISTABEL (2018) dir. Alex Levy-Heller The only daughter of a rural worker, Christabel finds Geraldine, a mysterious woman, who says she's been attacked by men and needs help. Pure and innocent Christabel gives shelter to Geraldine at home. From then on, the two women relate to each other in a way that Geraldine has a great influence over Christabel, destabilizing her convictions and promoting tradition rupture, but that sparks a feeling of passion and freedom never experienced by the young girl before. Based on the 1816 poem Christabel, by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. (link in title)

"Alas! they had been friends in youth; / But whispering tongues can poison truth; / And constancy lives in realms above; / And life is thorny; and youth is vain; / And to be wroth with one we love / Doth work like madness in the brain."

John said he ment for the saint name to reflect the caviler rather than the necromancer. (I can't find the exact quote in harrow)
But I think it's more complicated than that
I think that the appellation was the feeling the cav inspired in the necromancer.
C brought M joy. When M was with her best friend, she was expressivly happy even though with everyone else she was critical
Jr brought A patience. When A was with his young brother A was patient, even though he had no time for anyone else's ( except johns) bullshit
And P inspired G's sence of duty. P was the only other person (besides john) who could make do anything he didn't want to do.
