TESSDE AU (+ Lucia :]) (Lucien part 2)
Lucien: *nervously holding Lucia's hand while out shopping, going over the list in his other hand* Hmm... what do you think, Lucia? Should we gather some food first, or some general supplies?
Lucia: *feels a little bad for not appreciating her new papa very much and making him feel sad, holding onto his hand and keeping close to his side* Um... food?
Lucien: All right! Shall we go see Carlotta then?
Lucia: *nods and follows after him dutifully*
Carolotta: *smiles brightly at the sight of them* Hello you two! Come for some shopping?
Lucien: Ah, yes, hello! Allora has a list specifically for this- would you mind seeing what you have in stock? *passes over the journal*
Carlotta: *chuckles and takes it, looking it over* My, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were Lucia's birth father.
Lucien: *flushes brightly, squeaky voice* Pardon?
Carlotta: *smiles, looking down at Lucia clinging to her father* You two look so similar! And Allora as well. It's very cute!
Lucia and Lucien: *look at each other*
Carlotta: And your names being so close as well! It's like it was meant to be. *laughs* I'll get these supplies in a basket for you, one moment!
Lucien: *nervously glancing at Lucia*
Lucia: *staring up at Lucien, before smiling* Hehe. I do look like you, papa.
Lucien: *pleasantly surprised, smiling down at her* Well... yes! I do see the similarities. And our names being so close is quite interesting.
Lucia: *nodding assuredly* Papa was meant to be my papa.
Lucien: *heart melting, tearing up* Oh... that's so sweet!
Lucia: Can papa teach me stuff while we're out here? *falters for a moment, not wanting to be caught having listened in on Allora and his conversation* M-Mama said you were... good at it...
Lucien: *too elated to even think about it* But of course! What is it you were wanting to learn about? There's plenty of things to teach you- oh, but Allora did say to not overwhelm you. How about we start with some basics? Since we're out shopping, I'll teach you about commerce!
Carlotta: *shaking her head, watching Lucia gain a slightly strained expression as Lucien rambles off information about economics* He's got a lot to learn... but his heart is in the right place.
~Hours later~
Lucia: *absolutely dead on her feet, walks over and clings to Allora's leg in the kitchen*
Allora: *picks her up easily, kissing her head* Hey pumpkin, have a good day?
Lucia: *buries her face into Allora's neck and huffs a sigh*
Lucien: *worriedly watching from the doorway*
Allora: *notices but doesn't look at him* Long day? Wanna talk about it?
Lucia: I can't understand Lucien-papa... I'm sorry mama... I'm really trying, but...
Allora: Shh, hey, it's okay. You two don't need to be the best of friends. Lucien-papa isn't well experienced with kids, you know? He's learning and you're his first experience. It's kinda scary!
Lucia: *wrinkles her nose* I'm not scary...
Allora: *chuckles and shakes her head, swaying Lucia carefully* No sweetheart, you're my little ray of sunshine. What's scary is that it's a lot of work to take care of a kid. You suddenly have to think of everything, all the time, to make sure they're happy and safe and healthy. That they're learning about the world in a safe environment. It's a lot, but to no fault of your own. Okay? *kisses Lucia's temple* You're doing great by giving him a chance. He really does care about you. He's pretty scared about messing it up.
Lucia: *thinks about him looking nervous all the time* ...Oh... I understand.
Allora: Yeah?
Lucia: Mhm. Thanks mama. You're the best.
Allora: *smiles at Lucien, giving Lucia a squeeze* Happy to help, love.
Lucien: *flustered, shyly leaves the doorway as quietly as he can*

Bethesda needs to release tes6 because we've now reached the stage of Skyrims life where such ships as Carlotta/Ysolda and Enthir/Urag are being made. Soon we'll start shipping named bandit bosses. Todd please save us from this madness, I don't think I can stay sane if they begin shipping the Dragon Priests.

skyrim prompts: 25 for the oc of your choice :]
25. Tracking animals on the plains of Whiterun
They shrunk into the amber grass, forcing their pale, thick furred tail to lay still, resisting the urge to swish it side to side. Dark brown tufted ears perked, listening for any signs of trouble, should there come any. The white diamonds that marked their ears glowed from the sunlight. Hunger knawed at their belly. Dah’ni hadn’t eaten all day, having forgotten to stock up from Carlotta’s food stall in the Whiterun market before heading out, and the sight of a plump deer was too good an opportunity to pass up.
Despite wearing armor of the Dark Brotherhood to aid in their sneaking, Dah’ni was careful in their muffled steps. Creeping closer, their whiskers brushing against a breeze told them that they were downwind. The khajiit stalked their prey, which grazed on the tall grass, unaware of its pursuer.
Dah’ni reached for their bow, and as soon as they had a firm grip on it, they vanished. It was a lucky find, this bow that could turn its wielder invisible. Taking a dwarven arrow from its quiver, the golden head vanished alongside Dah’ni as they drew back their bow.
With a held breath, Dah’ni loosed the arrow. It struck into the flank of the deer, startling it. It bellowed out a painful cry before turning tail and sprinting off.
Putting their bow away, Dah’ni reappeared before giving chase. The stag stumbled as its hooves crashed into a rock face, and it slipped onto its side, driving the arrow deeper into its flesh. With their prey downed, Dah’ni quickly ran up to it, giving it a quick death with a slice of its throat using an ebony dagger.
Before the khajiit had time to rapture in their spoils, low rumbling sounded from just behind a lone hill. Tail bristling, Dah’ni whipped around as three wolves erupted from the underbrush. They hissed and drew themself tall, intent on defending their kill.
If Dah’ni took out their bow, them disappearing would bait the wolves to their kill, which the cat did not want. However, if they drew out their ebony war axe, it would be a close quarters fight with wild animals that could carry all sorts of diseases, and Dah’ni had no potions to spare. Drawing back their lips into a snarl, they hit upon a better idea.
Dah’ni took in a breath, their mind full of concentration. Time seemed to slow as they let their dragon blood flow through them. “Fus… Ro Dah!” A thundering yowl burst from their mouth, a buffeting wind sent two wolves flying.
Dah’ni blinked. Where had the third gone? They gripped their bow tightly, vanishing in case the wolf decided to leap out and clamp its jaws around them. “Laas… Yah..!” Looking around, Dah’ni found a glowing red aura in the shape of a quadruped as it tugged at the felled deer. Drawing their bow, Dah’ni quickly took it out with one shot.
As they approached the deer and now dead wolf, they could smell rockjoint in the beast’s saliva. As well, a mangled bite mark told Dah’ni that the wolf had managed to get a blow in on the deer. It wasn’t worth the risk carving up the meat now, and the khajiit hissed in annoyance.
Stomach growling, Dah’ni looked to the sky, seeing the sun sinking over the orange horizon. Twitching their tail as hunger gripped their thoughts, they wondered if they could make it back to Whiterun in time to ask Hulda at The Bannered Mare for some venison stew.

Who Did That Quest? (Sylvieverse Skyrim edition)
I was having fun figuring out which of my OCs did various Skyrim quests and wanted to share my findings with you.
Azura's Quest: Olaf the Janitor Mage, as the shrine was convenient to his workplace.
Clavicus Vile's Quest: Lydia and Mjoll, when Sophrine was on her honeymoon and they were bored.
Missing in Action: Amaal and her pal Ria rescue good old Thorald from the Thalmor.
Carlotta and Mikael: Soph did this one, and Mikael was so pissed he hired the Dark Brotherhood to get revenge.
Finding Neloth’s New Steward: This one was Great-Uncle Rirns Llervu, who was trying to turn his town-drunk reputation around.
Peryite's Quest: Muireen, and she deeply regretted it.
The Bards' College Quests: Malarkh gra-Dushnikh, a character I have not yet introduced to you all.

Arcadia: Do you have any gourds?
Carlotta Valentia: Yes, right here.
Arcadia: How much?
Carlotta: Four septims a pound.
Arcadia: It's usually two septims.
Carlotta: Yes, in the summer.
Arcadia: *pauses* *grabs two gourds*
Arcadia: I'll put it in a soup.
Carlotta: Oh nice, what kind are you making?
Arcadia: You will not fantasize about my soup.

Friday kiss tag game
I think I'll retcon this to Saturday smooches because I'm posting this on a Saturday though hehe
Rules: post a smooch between your OCs for Friday. It can be as light as a peck or as intense as a makeout. It can be romantic or platonic or familial. As long as a smooch takes place it’s free reign!
Thank you for the tag @throughtrialbyfire! Not going to tag anyone to do this at this point, though if anyone wishes to say that I have feel free!
I've been looking for an excuse to do some more writing for a little oneshot I'm working on where Elyse and Balgruuf slip out to the Bannered Mare one night, and this kind of managed to work it's way into the plot of that! So there will likely be an expanded version of this at some point soon.
The time period has been left ambiguous, so it could be at a point before they end up together or after hehe :3
“You paid for our drinks, the least that I can do is pay for something to eat,” Elyse hummed as she rose from her seat, the wood creaking on the floor as she gave him a quick smile and reached for her coinpurse. “Just give me one minute.”
Balgruuf was about to tell her that it wasn’t necessary in the slightest, that the entire reason that he had invited her out was to thank her for all that she had done and give them both some time to wind down away from Dragonsreach, but it seemed that her mind was set. She did, admittedly, look much happier and cheerful than she had been in a long time as she leaned over the bar and started chatting to Hulda, a sparkle in her eyes that he hadn’t seen since the day that he had learned of her defeating Alduin that had long since been dulled by the ongoing war.
He knew that they had both been facing difficulties from all fronts because of all that was currently going on, but he had been embroiled in politics and Skyrim’s turmoil since he was a lad– she was just one person, thrust into the spotlight of a land she had only heard of second-hand through her parents, having to learn how things worked through being thrown in at the deep end a few years ago. He… almost felt pity for her. The only reason that he didn’t was because she was working and had worked so hard to overcome the barriers before her, and continued to do so. He was proud of her, not sad for her. And he was glad that he could see her and trust her as one of his closest and dearest friends and confidants.
The sound of her voice getting louder in the distance caught his attention and drew his mind from his thoughts, just to catch sight of her now talking to Saadia and Carlotta as she waited for Hulda, who both seemed to look amused at her reaction to something. The corner of his lips turned up at the sight, watching as she batted at Carlotta’s arm with a pout across her face.
A plate which looked as though it bore some sort of dessert was then placed in front of her, and Elyse looked all too happy to quickly pick it up and return to the table in order to get away from them. When she sat down, it was with a loud, exaggerated sigh as she placed the plate down. Now that she had returned, it was clear that she had ordered a crostata, though it didn’t look like the usual ones he would often see served – the fruit filling looked to be a lot more… vibrant than he was used to seeing. “There wasn’t much available, I’m afraid. You don’t mind sharing some of this with me, do you?”
“Not at all, though as you were the one who paid for it, you have your portion first,” he nodded, now folding his arms over and nodding towards the two other women who had now gone off to whatever it was they had been previously doing. “Though dare I ask what was happening there?”
Rolling her eyes as she picked up a knife to cut herself a portion, she shook her head. “They were just teasing me, that’s all. I don’t come here at night as often as I used to, not since I moved to Dragonsreach,” she explained, sounding as though she was omitting some little details.
As she ate a forkful of her dessert, she suddenly froze up beside him, her eyes growing wide in surprise. He worried for a moment that the crostata had been poisoned, especially given how unusual it looked, but felt relief when she went back for more with an elated expression on her face.
After a few moments though, she hummed and got another forkful as she turned to face him. “Here, try some,” she eagerly smiled, holding out the utensil for him, though not actually allowing him to take hold of it… she wanted to feed it to him herself. He would indulge her if it kept her as happy as she had been so far that night. “Tell me what you think of it after.”
And… he could certainly understand why she liked the taste. The fruit was sweet, hardly tart, and paired well with the buttery pastry. It was, however, a taste which he could not pinpoint, it was something unfamiliar. “It is delicious, Elyse, but what is it? I don’t believe that I have tried any fruit which tastes quite like this before, though does somewhat remind me of snowberries…”
“Strawberries, Balgruuf! Don’t tell me that you have never had a strawberry before?” Her mouth was agape with surprise, before a quiet chuckle escaped from her. “Then again, I rarely see strawberries in Skyrim, so perhaps I shouldn’t be so surprised… I don’t think that the climate is right for them to grow. They are everywhere in Cyrodiil, and they are by far one of my favourite things to eat. So much so, my father and I planted a bush of them in our garden in Chorrol to grow them, and it was so exciting whenever the first berry would ripen each year.” A fondness crept into her expression as she placed the fork down. “It’s been years since I’ve tasted one… I almost felt obliged to buy the crostata from the second that Hulda mentioned what it was and that it was all she had left. I don't even know how or when she even managed to get hold of some!”
After a few more moments of what he could only presume was her silently reminiscing, she went back to eating her potion of the dessert. At the point that she had eaten half, she placed her fork down and nudged the plate towards him. He quickly caught sight of the fact that there was the slightest bit of berry juice which had spilled from her mouth, and he went to let her know.
“Elyse, you have got a little something-” he whispered, reaching out for her face and taking hold of her cheek with the intention of wiping it away with his thumb. It took him a few moments to actually carry out that action though, as he very quickly got distracted at the way in which she was watching him so closely, and that her lips had parted just slightly through surprise at that simple little gesture. It was a lot more intimate a moment than he had intended, and he had to clear his throat before he continued. “-on your- your face…”
It suddenly felt very warm.
“Is it gone, or is there any more? On my lips, perhaps?” There was a slight teasing tone to her voice as she caught him staring, and he was certain that she had moved closer to him as she asked her question. There was hardly any distance between their seats at that point.
Two could play at that game though.
“Hm… It looks as though there could be. Allow me to help with clearing it off…” He leaned in, and gently pressed their lips together. The taste of the crostata lingered across her skin, the strawberry sweetness mingling with the honeyed mead they had drank earlier. One of her hands reached out for his own, the one which was presently unoccupied and resting upon the table, her skin radiating with warmth.
After a few moments, their lips parted, though their noses were still touching with how close they were to one another. Elyse almost sounded breathless.
It was… The kiss had been everything, in spite of its brevity. Something that he would not mind indulging in more often… if she were of a like mind too.
The sound of a throat being cleared beside the table made them both freeze before quickly parting from one another, and Elyse’s face had very quickly turned redder than the filling of their dessert. Staring down at them both, with irritation across her features, arms folded, and foot tapping on the floor, was Irileth.
“And what, exactly, do the two of you think that you are doing here?”

You would think that food, in Skyrim, would be quite valuable
Hides as well
Like i get that they're very common items, thus from a gameplay perspective having them be too valuable would make earning money too easy
But, from an economic perspective, how the fuck does Carlotta, Anoriath, and Any of the farmers in skyrim own their own homes with how not profitable farming and hunting actually are.

Exploring Skyrim
I started this journey by first grabbing the mammoth tusk from the top of a cupboard in our homestead to take to Whiterun, the start point, in order to give it to Ysolda. I also dealt with Mikael for Carlotta and met Sam Guenvere. I also realised that I would no doubt be entering some very tricky dungeons and decided to get Uthgerd the Unbroken as a follower. I realize I should have done a poll for this but I will do one after whether to keep her or not. After this I headed north where I discovered and cleared Halted Stream Camp but most importantly it was here that 'A new hand touch's the beacon'. I then discovered Volunruud and by reading Heddic's Volunruud Notes I started Silenced Tongues. This was a tricky dungen considering I had no armour so I used Uthgerd to tank and do most of the damage while I sneak attacked, retreated and then snuck back. Defeating Kvenel was incredibly hard as he could one/two shot kill me, so I resorted to instructing Uthgerd to attack while holding back and waiting when she's down to reset her health before entering the fight when Kvenel's health was low enough I could help. I then carried on north and found the Lord Stone and Dimhollow crypt, which will be useful for the Dawnguard questline. Carrying on I discovered Frostmere Crypt where I was approached by Eisa Blackthorn and started the quest The Pale Lady. The quest was simple and the dungeon only had a few bandits that were easily dealt with. The pale lady herself was trickier and I had to replace the sword a few times in order to wait to replenish my health but between Uthgerd and I she was able to be taken down. Carrying on north I hit the destroyed Hall of the Vigilants which I looted for any new gear. I then went west towards Morthal and found Kjenstal Ruins before hitting Myrwatch. I completed the quest there and now we have a second player home. Although I had to use flames to unlock it but as that is a quest requirement I don't think you'll mind. I then went to Morthal itself before heading north towards Solitude where I discovered Morvath's Lair (useful for the Morthal vampire quest) then Folgunthur where I got the second Gauldur amulet fragment as well as the Gauldur Blackblade. Once Mikrul Gauldurson was defeated (easier than Kvenel I found) I carried on north where I discovered the East Empire Company Warehouse, Katla's Farm, Solitude Sawmill before heading south and finding Meeko's Shack. Next up Was Dead Man's Respite where I was lead by Svaknir's ghost through the dungeon until I came upon his corpse with the copy of King Olaf's verse before being taken to fight King Olaf. The resting dragur I dealt with by sneak attacking them before they woke up. When it came to King Olaf himself I let Svaknir deal most of the damage while doing sneak attacks from behind. I then set off towards the homestead where I discovered Crabber's Shanty, Orotheim, Swindler's Den and Broken Fang Cave. Orotheim was simply a bandit cave same as Swindler's Den where I contracted Rattles. Broken Fang Cave was differant in that it had Vampires but Uthgerd was more than able to keep them distracted while I attacked from behind. All then that was left was returning home with my new loot.
