Stopped by my mom's friend's house! I love their cats!!!! There are 4 of them. I slept on the couch with all of them at night HAHAHAHA. I kept waking up to pet them. They were the cutest!!!! We got some Happy Lamb AYCE for dinner and it was nice to eat hot pot after 2 weeks of fast food lol.

Finished Tripp Mickle’s book “After Steve”.

In it, the technology and business journalist for the Wall Street Journal describes how Apple fared after the death of Steve Jobs.

The subtitle - “How Apple became a trillion-dollar company and lost its soul” - gives his conclusion away but the 500-page volume is by no means a hatchet job.

On the contrary, I find Mickle’s judgment much too mild. He describes how Jony Ive wouldn’t show up for work for weeks, would skip meetings for months but was left alone. CEO Tim Cook never bothered to intervene, not even when Ive commandeered the 20-man design studio to work on the soap dispenser in the bathroom of his refurbished private jet for two weeks.

That’s Trump-style corruption. Ive should have been sacked on the spot.

But you don’t have agree with me to read the chronicle. You get a detailed view of everything that happened in Cupertino post Steve Jobs.

And to be fair, some of this was unavoidable. As far as we know, Steve Jobs didn’t have any other big ideas either after the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. Nor does anybody else. Do you know somebody who finds the Apple Watch a compelling proposition? I don’t.

A CNBC journalist directly asked him to comment on rumors that development of the modem had been discontinued. Of course, Srouj did not say anything intelligible, but stated that Apple is interested in its own modem and it has teams that can implement this project. That is, apparently, the Cupertino giant is still not going to curtail development, although you should always keep in mind the possibility that at the time of the interview the company was simply not ready to talk about closing the project.
