god beat bito. im thinking about him again. u know i used to have nightmares that would in some way involve me being solely responsible for my little sister with us somehow in danger so Obviously since she was born the buffy episode The Gift where buffy realizes the gift she has to give is dying to protect her sister has gotten to me. then it was ayano tateyama doing actually a very similar move in kagerou project. but then beat bitos in there and hes like in some ways more relatable to my own experiences than buffy or ayano and while he DOES die trying to save his sibling — so does his sibling. and then they’re in a sort of purgatory together and its his little sibling that dies to save HIM and he has to spend the whole rest of the game dealing with that. and hes still one of the brightest points in the game somehow for both comedy and warm fuzzy feelings.

物の哀れ - "BITO."
Tumblr media
name; bito age; 19 birthday; february 16th vision; pyro weapon; polearm rarity; ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ affiliation; wangshu inn
Tumblr media
a waitress with complicated origins. it is said that she once wielded the flaming polearm collecting dust in the corner of her room along with a pyro vision, but the passion has long-since faded from her eyes.
bito is cold. whether she means to be or not you would never know, her chilly indifference is a shared experience between everyone she comes across. though be assured, this treatment is nothing personal.
she serves the guests at the wangshu inn with the upmost professionalism, her monotone voice can be heard from dawn until just before midnight politely asking patrons for their order. despite bito’s respectful and helpful manner, it’s clear that she finds no joy in her work. when guests attempt to make conversation with the woman, her one-word answers or lack of a response altogether make it clear that she is present to do her job and do her job only.
bito is not in liyue to make friends. her trust is well-guarded and almost never given, deeply-rooted fears of loss and abandonment reinforcing her desire to remain alone for however long it takes her to finish business. however, if you are one of the lucky ones who receive this special gift, the self that bito has buried so deeply under years of hardship may appear before you. while the girl is not one for words, she’ll offer soft touches and even softer smiles, presenting you with small, handmade gifts and quality time.
"ORIGINS."
bito was born on february sixteenth in higi village, yashiori island alongside her twin brother, the eldest with a younger brother and three younger sisters. out of her five siblings, she spent the most time with her twin, aki. when they were both six, they were sent to military training together for the shogunate army, spending each day at their camp together. they were a passionate and strong duo, learning incredibly fast and quickly topping their fellow students with ease.
they earned their pyro visions together at thirteen while sparring, each a perfect match for the other, two sides to the same coin.
when their fifteenth birthday rolled around, both of them were officially drafted into the war. their parents were worried sick but could not argue with the general standing at their doorstep, explaining that the war effort required every able-bodied person to help, and the twins were perfectly capable.
a few months into their second year at war, the twins were incredibly surprised to find their younger brother, ryo, appear with them at the front line. he looked sickly, barely fifteen years old, his eyes sunken and haunted. when his siblings pressed him for information on their home, his lip trembled as he spoke.
orobashi occultists had infiltrated onto the island and destroyed the protective shrines around the village, releasing an incredibly deadly illness. about a quarter of the village had been driven mad by it and half had already died, leaving their hometown nothing short of a disaster. before ryo had left, only their youngest sister had fallen sick. the shogunate officers had become more aggressive in their pursuit of weeding out any spies from sangonomiya afterward and had begin reinforcing full loyalty, hence ryo’s draft into the war.
bito was absolutely horrified at the news, unable to sleep the rest of the night. she fought with herself all night over whether to stay and protect her brothers under the possibility they were the only family she had left, or she could flee home and try and save her parents and sisters.
that night, she had never run faster in her entire life. she trusted that aki could protect ryo, being the strong vision wielder he was, but there was no one to protect the rest of their family. all she had left behind with her twin was a letter, knowing that as a deserter, she would never be able to come back.
when she made it back to yashiori, her heart shattered. bodies piled up outside of homes, the stench of death, the torrential downpour and constant bolts of lightning leaving her home a mere shadow of the happy place it once was.
when she burst through the door of her childhood home, she wished she had never returned. her father stood with his back turned, the broken tip of a shogunate-issued polearm quivering in his white-knuckle grip, each strike of lightning illuminating the evident red stain coating the blade. before him lay bito’s mother and three younger sisters, the floorboards beneath their shadow-covered bodies stained red with their blood. he was mumbling, twitching, something about “orobashi” as he turned around.
when bito made eye contact with her ‘father’, she knew he had succumbed to madness through the illness. his eyes were crazed, blown open wide with an almost inhuman glaze. she wanted to scream, cry, run. this thing was not her father. this thing had killed her family.
she could barely breathe as she bolted from the house, hearing her father’s heavy steps chasing after her, shouting utter nonsense about a sacrifice. despite her military training, the larger man was able to catch up with her, pulling her down, getting on top of her and stabbing his blade down in a crazed flurry of motion. she managed to squirm and dodge most of the attacks, but he was so unpredictable he managed to land a rather deep graze in her neck and a stab in the shoulder. it caught bito off guard and the man took her moment of stupor to aim his blade directly above her face and lunge. she hot her hand up in a panicked defense, resulting in the blade plunging through her nondominant hand, the tip peeking out at her from the other side.
she howled in pain, but took the advantage of the man being unable to remove the weapon and kicked upwards, scrambling out from under him. she couldn’t think straight, adrenaline and agony pulsing through her limbs as she ripped the weapon from the wound. seeing red, the man was no longer her father, only a threat she needed to deal with. without a second thought, she used the broken spearhead and took care of the problem.
it took her almost two weeks to reach narukami island, nearly another to make it to ritou. she was barely surviving off of the roll of gauze and family savings she had salvaged from her family home, the blood loss and hunger nearly killing her several times during the trek.
once she had made it to the small island, she tied back her striking white hair and hid her ears beneath the bloodstained bandana she had once used as a makeshift wrap for her hand. disguised from the doushin who would likely be out for her arrest for deserting, she began asking around about the group on the front line, and if they had returned yet. ignoring her hand, the only thought in her mind was reuniting with her brothers. she was told by officers that they had yet to hear from the reporting officers with the group, but they should return soon.
so, she waited. she waited, and waited, and waited, her savings slowly dwindling for each cheap meal she bought, losing a chunk when she finally sought out treatment for her injured hand. by the time a week of waiting had passed, she had already found herself in deep debt.
on the ninth day, she returned to the officer, inquiring again on the whereabouts of the squadron. and with a heavy sigh, the man shattered her world all over again.
“the last we heard from them, they were being overpowered. it’s been days since, so we can only assume the group was lost.”
raw with grief and denial, she shuffled her way back to the place she was renting, intent on laying down and crying in peace. but the moment she rounded the corner, her eyes widened at the sight of her commanding officer speaking with the owner of the home. words drifted down the alley, “wanted”, “payment”, and “debt” striking fear deep in bito’s heart.
she turned tail and scrambled back down the alley sprinting back down to the docks, the only thought blaring through her mind was escape.
under the cover of darkness was bito able to slip unseen below deck of a merchant ship just about to depart, not caring where it was going, only knowing it would take her far away from her suffering.
-
“and what name would this room be under, miss?”
the ragged girl opened her mouth, her birthname on the tip of her tongue, but she closed it promptly. only unpleasant memories flashed behind her eyes at the sound of that word.
a few moments of silence passed before one word left her lips.
“bito.”

How I learned to stop worrying and Daisuki the Bito
Alternative title: “How I learned to stop dismissing and love the Beat.”
Or, as a Redditor put it: “Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its life thinking it is stupid.”
Bito “Beat” Daisukenojo isn’t stupid.
His teachers think he’s stupid, his parents think he’s stupid, even his little sister might think he’s stupid, so he thinks he’s stupid. But he’s not, no matter how much he lowers himself to their expectations.
Beat isn’t built for sitting quietly and attentively for most of the day as someone recites historical facts to memorize for the next test, or shows him mathematical formulas without using practical application to show him their value.
Beat lives in the immediate and practical Now, rather than the immutable past or the hypothetical future. He's built to react, move, jump, swing, and lift. A body as buff as his doesn’t happen accidentally!
In olden days or less wealthy cultures, Beat’s parents would have favored him over his sister, because his quick reactions and focus on physical activity would protect them from wild animals, ruffian neighbors, going hungry because no one tilled the hard soil, going cold because no one chopped down a tree and hewed it into planks to repair their house. Their parents would have constantly scolded Rhyme for having her head in the clouds when immediate, physical work needed doing.
In post-industrial, super-urban Tokyo, their parents don’t need any of those physical tasks done, so they favor Rhyme for naturally fitting into the current, academically-focused nature of Japan’s education system and employment market.
Since the Olympics wouldn't include skateboarding until the year 2020 (held in Japan, as it turns out), the most room that Japan’s education system and culture had for someone like Beat is formalized martial arts clubs. But formalized, sporting martial arts just don’t involve enough movement and danger for Beat.
He needs the wild freedom of skateboarding to challenge his mind as much as his body. He doesn’t want to start and stop in tightly-controlled rounds, he wants to achieve a perfect flow that ends only when he wants to stop, with his environment and his own imperfections serving as the obstacles to overcome.
That’s where his Imagination focuses. Skating is as much a craft, a performance art for him as sewing is a constructive craft and art for Shiki. He paints a fleeting masterpiece with the movement of his body.
Why do you think his latent Psyche is Sound Surfing?
Why can merely human Beat move faster than Reapers or even the likes of Arma Leo Cantus? Fast enough to evade an entire city of Players and Reapers hunting him for a few days?
Because none of them live as much in The Moment as Beat. Susukichi and Minamimoto carefully plan their moves ahead before they act, but Beat dedicated himself to jumping first and planning his landing in-midair. He’s crashed and bled so many times precisely to toughen himself up for bad landings, and to learn how to salvage bad jumps.
Even three years ago, even after losing his Reaper powers, Beat could shock Sakuraba “Legendary Player” Neku with his sheer brute force. Beat could outright smash his way through lesser Reaper Wall barriers that Neku didn’t even consider trying to break.
Whether Neku could have done the same hardly matters if Neku didn’t ever think to try, while Beat never stopped long enough to question whether he could. The ability to succeed belongs only to those who try.
Edit: Beat explicitly states that he used a “keypin” to smash the wall open.

Sesshy.. Man. You think he hates you, like, constantly, but after that night eating out your pussy you notice he does more subtle things for you, like allowing you to sleep on his fur trim, or lean against him when he rests.
But the more you two interract the more enthralled the dog demon is, more protective and territorial.
SESSHY LOVE OF MY FUCKING LIFE. OG HUSBAND.
Please Bito it is my DREAM to have an enemies to lovers arc with this man. 🥺🥺Sleeping on his fur.
I’d like to think at first he’s like “Me doing that to you was a one time thing. An experiment, don’t get any ideas human.
But then it’s a particularly cold night and you’re shivering, not even the Fire you’re sleeping around is warm enough to save you from the cool night chill. Your teeth are chattering in your sleep you’re curled up in a little ball trying to keep your warmth in.
Sesshy is sitting resting for the night near a tree. Your silly teeth chattering is unbearable(yeah right he’s actually worried about you) so he gets up and moves closer to you. He drapes his fur over your body and in your sleep you immediately grab it and wrap yourself in it. He watches you snuggle into rub your face against the soft tendrils, and sigh deeply. His face is devoid of any emotion but his eyes…there’s a tiny spark in them as he watches you sleep before turning back to gaze at the moon and fall asleep.

Driving with the Akatsuki
Itachi
Driving with this guy is ... nerve-wracking, to say the very least. It’s not as though he’s a reckless automobile operator; he observes all the laws of traffic, the radio is at a reasonable volume ((he’s the type to listen to podcasts rather than music)), he follows the speed limits, he actually slows down at a yellow light — but it’s the near-misses that are daunting. The just barely stopping in time before hitting the old lady crossing the street. The running up on the curb while parking. And then there was that incident with the tree — Itachi legally has to wear glasses when driving, but his passengers often wonder whether the glasses actually HELP him. Even with them on, he squints A LOT. And only someone with nerves of absolute steel, like Kisame or Kakuzu, will be in a car with him at night. However he is with driving, one thing he’s not blind in, is his car’s cleanliness. Will make passengers wipe feet before getting in, and after everyone is gone he’ll carefully scour the seats to remove even the faintest trace of lint or gum wrappers or any disturbance at all. Can be a bit of a “mom” driver; a holdover from his teenage years of constantly having to chauffeur around his younger brother and his brother’s rambunctious friends.
Kakuzu
Anyone getting into a vehicle with Kakuzu is in for a surprise. 91 years old? Surely he drives slow and steady, like a typical little old man, right? WRONG. Kakuzu is a goddamn speed-demon. He barrels down streets, he flies through intersections. Not many know this about him, but he was very much into drag-racing as a (much) young(er) man, and his current proclivity for quickness is a holdover from those days. Luck always seems to be on his side, as he’s gotten caught/received speeding tickets far less than he deserves. To make matters scarier, Kakuzu’s radio system has been broken for two years (and of course he’s too cheap to get it fixed), and the back left window doesn’t roll up to the top; so the only sound his passengers will hear is the wind rushing past the glass and Kakuzu’s deep, sinister chuckles as he sees other drivers (and pedestrians) scramble to get out of his way. Also, unless you’re a CLOSE-close friend, don’t expect a ride from him unless you have gas money.
Deidara
In all honesty, the blonde prefers to be the passenger rather than the driver, even in his own car. He gets his best inspirations for future art pieces when he’s traveling around, and it’s hard to pick up a sketch book when you need to be paying attention to the road. When he does have to be behind the wheel himself, he’s a fairly average driver. His passengers are always at risk of a case of auditory whiplash, as Deidara’s (loudly played) music tastes switch from one extreme to the other; and the guy isn’t exactly shy about singing along to his favorites. He’s also one of those eat-on-the-go guys, and his backseat will almost always be buried under a myriad of candy wrappers, empty plastic soda bottles and discarded burger wrappers. In the summer he prefers the wild and free feeling of having all the windows down, rather than turning the AC on, and he’ll have to remember to firmly tie up his long hair and keep it from blowing in his eyes or else everyone in the car will be taking an unscheduled trip into the nearest tree.
Zetsu
His car always has that calm, natural, “special plant” scent to it. The kind of smell that causes a panic when Zetsu sees a police officer anywhere in the area. A very relaxed driver; seat almost all the way back, one hand barely on the steering wheel. Obeys the speed limit but can put the pedal to the metal when in a hurry. Likes to listen to mostly reggae or jazz, and taps his fingers on he dashboard along to the beat. Water-bottle hoarder; has at least 1000 plastic water bottles, in varying staging of fullness, all over the front and back seats. The type to keep driving around the block until the song ends. Also the type to have really deep conversations with his passengers, and drive them out to really far away and scenic locations.
Hidan
If you have somewhere important to go, and need a ride, it’s best not to ask Hidan. He is the sort who always insists he knows a shortcut or a quicker route to every destination ... and ends up hopelessly lost. Can’t read a map to save his life and for some reason won’t trust a car’s gps system to guide him ((has some pretty crazy conspiracy theories about the voice behind the system)). Easily distracted by any and everything (both inside and outside of car), which makes being his passenger a bit daunting. Like Kakuzu, is a very fast driver, but infinitely more cautious as he has a LOT of tickets wracked up and isn’t looking to add more.
Really loves Led Zeppelin and Johnny Cash; has a visor full of those CD’s and will play those rather than listen to the radio. Also has a butt-load of swear word laden and inappropriate humor bumper stickers.
Pein
Who needs a car when motorcycles exist? This guy has a classic hog that he keeps in mint condition, that he rides around wherever he goes. Every year he’ll try and convince his close friends to ditch their boring cars for something more sublime, only to be met sure emphatic No’s each time. Is very protective over his baby and will go ballistic over even the tiniest nick or scrape. Drives at a normal speed when by himself, but will drive just a bit faster when carting around a friend (especially if it’s a female friend). Doesn’t really like to wear a helmet himself but will insist on any passengers putting one on. Prefers the quiet of the open road but if in a musical mood it’s always 80’s hair bands; a lot of Def Leppard, Quiet Riot, Van Halen. Can do a variety of tricks on his bike but doesn’t do them often as he doesn’t like to “mess up” his baby any more than necessary.
Sasori
Absolutely 100% HATES driving. Has massive anxiety anytime he has to get behind the wheel, almost to the point where he’d need to take a sedative just to relax. Drives slower than the slowest driver you can think of. Yellow light? Slow down. Green light? Still slow down. Will drive himself to and from work, but any other time would prefer being a passenger in someone else’s car ((in which case he becomes the worst backseat driver in history)), or simply taking the bus. Doesn’t like giving rides to others but if he must, it’ll be a very tense, silent drive (forget about him turning on the radio and ‘breaking his concentration’), and he’ll freak out if a passenger takes their seatbelt off before the car comes to a complete stop. Also has a hyper-awareness to anything that might possibly be wrong with his car; if that check engine light comes on you can bet he’ll be at the mechanic in a heartbeat. Also the type who feels “uncomfortable” if gas tank is below 3/4 full.
Konan
The type who’s always heading somewhere/running errands, and will ask if you need a ride. Very neat and organized car, and always suspiciously shiny (as if she visits the carwash every other day). Seems to know absolutely everybody; is always waving at or honking to people in other cars. Keeps the radio volume down when she has passengers, but when alone she loves to sing at the top of her lungs to 90’s boy bands (her rendition of I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys is American-Idol worthy). Is always prepared for anything, especially in the winter; in her trunk is a shovel, an extra blanket, water bottles and protein bars, even emergency flares. May be pretty and delicate but definitely knows her way around a car; can change a tire or check the oil with the best of them.
Kisame
Has very long legs, so needs a car or truck that provides him ample room to stretch. A very relaxed and mellow driver, always puts whoever’s with him immediately at ease. Doesn’t use air fresheners in his car but inside always smells like whatever his cologne is, which is always yummy. Gets a lot of fast-food but always keeps the bags and wrappers stored neatly in a little garbage bag that he empties out daily. Will let his passengers do pretty much anything in his car EXCEPT smoke; he can’t stand the smell of tobacco. Isn’t really a Point A to Point B driver; will always think of other places to stop or visit en-route to his destination. Big fan of Musical music; his all-time favorite cd is the soundtrack to Grease. Also (when by himself) is a car-emoter; Kisame doesn’t let most people see anything but his cheerful side. Bring alone in his car is the only time he’ll cry, or scream, or express anger regarding events or people.
Obito
The type of driver who very often spaces out and “forgets” that he’s driving. Prefers traveling more with animals than with people; most likely to take his dog on a weeklong broad trip. Has been a smoker since his teenage years but is trying to quit, so in his car is the only place he “allows” himself a cigarette (but only when he’s completely alone). Almost started a fire once when he threw a still-lit cigarette out the window, but it flew into the backseat instead. Drives fairly slow unless he’s in a hurry for something (but even then his foot doesn’t press the gas pedal THAT much harder). His musical tastes depend on his mood but whatever he ends up listening to is always car-shakingly loud. Seems to have a new (and interesting) trinket hanging from his rear-view mirror every week. The kind who drives around for several days with his gas tank close to/touching on E because ”he knows his car, it’s fine”.

a waitress with complicated origins. it is said that she once wielded the flaming polearm collecting dust in the corner of her room along with a pyro vision, but the passion has long-since faded from her eyes.
personality.
Tumblr media
bito is cold. whether she means to be or not you would never know, her chilly indifference is a shared experience between everyone she comes across. though be assured, this treatment is nothing personal.
she serves the guests at the wangshu inn with the upmost professionalism, her monotone voice can be heard from dawn until just before midnight politely asking patrons for their order. despite bito's respectful and helpful manner, it's clear that she finds no joy in her work. when guests attempt to make conversation with the woman, her one-word answers or lack of a response altogether make it clear that she is present to do her job and do her job only.
bito is not in liyue to make friends. her trust is well-guarded and almost never given, deeply-rooted fears of loss and abandonment reinforcing her desire to remain alone for however long it takes her to finish business. however, if you are one of the lucky ones who receive this special gift, the self that bito has buried so deeply under years of hardship may appear before you. while the girl is not one for words, she'll offer soft touches and even softer smiles, presenting you with small, handmade gifts and quality time.
origins.
bito was born on february sixteenth in higi village, yashiori island alongside her twin brother, the eldest with a younger brother and three younger sisters. out of her five siblings, she spent the most time with her twin, aki. when they were both six, they were sent to military training together for the shogunate army, spending each day at their camp together. they were a passionate and strong duo, learning incredibly fast and quickly topping their fellow students with ease.
they earned their pyro visions together at thirteen while sparring, each a perfect match for the other, two sides to the same coin.
when their fifteenth birthday rolled around, both of them were officially drafted into the war. their parents were worried sick but could not argue with the general standing at their doorstep, explaining that the war effort required every able-bodied person to help, and the twins were perfectly capable.
a few months into their second year at war, the twins were incredibly surprised to find their younger brother, ryo, appear with them at the front line. he looked sickly, barely fifteen years old, his eyes sunken and haunted. when his siblings pressed him for information on their home, his lip trembled as he spoke.
orobashi occultists had infiltrated onto the island and destroyed the protective shrines around the village, releasing an incredibly deadly illness. about a quarter of the village had been driven mad by it and half had already died, leaving their hometown nothing short of a disaster. before ryo had left, only their youngest sister had fallen sick. the shogunate officers had become more aggressive in their pursuit of weeding out any spies from sangonomiya afterward and had begin reinforcing full loyalty, hence ryo's draft into the war.
bito was absolutely horrified at the news, unable to sleep the rest of the night. she fought with herself all night over whether to stay and protect her brothers under the possibility they were the only family she had left, or she could flee home and try and save her parents and sisters.
that night, she had never run faster in her entire life. she trusted that aki could protect ryo, being the strong vision wielder he was, but there was no one to protect the rest of their family. all she had left behind with her twin was a letter, knowing that as a deserter, she would never be able to come back.
when she made it back to yashiori, her heart shattered. bodies piled up outside of homes, the stench of death, the torrential downpour and constant bolts of lightning leaving her home a mere shadow of the happy place it once was.
when she burst through the door of her childhood home, she wished she had never returned. her father stood with his back turned, the broken tip of a shogunate-issued polearm quivering in his white-knuckle grip, each strike of lightning illuminating the evident red stain coating the blade. before him lay bito's mother and three younger sisters, the floorboards beneath their shadow-covered bodies stained red with their blood. he was mumbling, twitching, something about "orobashi" as he turned around.
when bito made eye contact with her 'father', she knew he had succumbed to madness through the illness. his eyes were crazed, blown open wide with an almost inhuman glaze. she wanted to scream, cry, run. this thing was not her father. this thing had killed her family.
she could barely breathe as she bolted from the house, hearing her father's heavy steps chasing after her, shouting utter nonsense about a sacrifice. despite her military training, the larger man was able to catch up with her, pulling her down, getting on top of her and stabbing his blade down in a crazed flurry of motion. she managed to squirm and dodge most of the attacks, but he was so unpredictable he managed to land a rather deep graze in her neck and a stab in the shoulder. it caught bito off guard and the man took her moment of stupor to aim his blade directly above her face and lunge. she hot her hand up in a panicked defense, resulting in the blade plunging through her nondominant hand, the tip peeking out at her from the other side.
she howled in pain, but took the advantage of the man being unable to remove the weapon and kicked upwards, scrambling out from under him. she couldn't think straight, adrenaline and agony pulsing through her limbs as she ripped the weapon from the wound. seeing red, the man was no longer her father, only a threat she needed to deal with. without a second thought, she used the broken spearhead and took care of the problem.
it took her almost two weeks to reach narukami island, nearly another to make it to ritou. she was barely surviving off of the roll of gauze and family savings she had salvaged from her family home, the blood loss and hunger nearly killing her several times during the trek.
once she had made it to the small island, she tied back her striking white hair and hid her ears beneath the bloodstained bandana she had once used as a makeshift wrap for her hand. disguised from the doushin who would likely be out for her arrest for deserting, she began asking around about the group on the front line, and if they had returned yet. ignoring her hand, the only thought in her mind was reuniting with her brothers. she was told by officers that they had yet to hear from the reporting officers with the group, but they should return soon.
so, she waited. she waited, and waited, and waited, her savings slowly dwindling for each cheap meal she bought, losing a chunk when she finally sought out treatment for her injured hand. by the time a week of waiting had passed, she had already found herself in deep debt.
on the ninth day, she returned to the officer, inquiring again on the whereabouts of the squadron. and with a heavy sigh, the man shattered her world all over again.
"the last we heard from them, they were being overpowered. it's been days since, so we can only assume the group was lost."
raw with grief and denial, she shuffled her way back to the place she was renting, intent on laying down and crying in peace. but the moment she rounded the corner, her eyes widened at the sight of her commanding officer speaking with the owner of the home. words drifted down the alley, "wanted", "payment", and "debt" striking fear deep in bito's heart.
she turned tail and scrambled back down the alley sprinting back down to the docks, the only thought blaring through her mind was escape.
under the cover of darkness was bito able to slip unseen below deck of a merchant ship just about to depart, not caring where it was going, only knowing it would take her far away from her suffering.
-
"and what name would this room be under, miss?"
the ragged girl opened her mouth, her birthname on the tip of her tongue, but she closed it promptly. only unpleasant memories flashed behind her eyes at the sound of that word.
a few moments of silence passed before one word left her lips.
"bito."
appearance.
bito is of short stature, with thin eyes and long, wavy, messy hair. her lupin ears are a shared family trait, yet her parents never explained their unnatural appearance to her nor her bunny-eared siblings. she is a spitting image of her brother, aki, yet his hair was a near-black shade of brown, resembling their mother and adding a contrast between him and his sister. her left eye is a golden honey color while the left is a shimmering violet, the opposite of aki's. her hair is naturally striking white, but after moving to liyue, she dyes half of it a near-black color. her waitress attire is a mix of the uniform provided for her and the last remaining garment she had taken from her home. she no longer carries her vision.

Hey Bito! Been a hot minute since we talked and I was so happy to see the match up post because you know I thirst for all your monster babes.
Um, about me: pretty average looking fem, though some think I'm pretty. Shy (I'm on anon for a reason but I'm messaging you so you know who I am) and in regular need of reassurance. I have a lot of love in my heart, and a lot of passion for all sorts of things. I like to craft and bake and keep my hands busy, and I'll talk people's ear off info-dumping about various topics. Very kinky, sub leaning switch.
You know how aquariums and zoos will pluck injured creatures from their habitats and rehabilitate them? But then sometimes they'll say there's a sea otter that can never be released back into the wild so they keep it in a safe enclosure and care for it forever? Yeah I'm that sea otter. I just want a monster/alien/fae whatever to just scoop me up and keep me as a pampered pet because I am clearly not fit for the wild.
I hope you're having a good holiday, Bito ^_^
Hello you xD I'm a little surprised who I matched you with! This is Anya! A black kitsune. A corrupted Kitsune.
Tumblr media
It is said that corrupted Kitsune are created when a divine or regular kitsune commits cannibalism, though Anya will never tell you if that's true or not xD
You will find him at home doing what he loves to do, tormenting and being a little asshole, with tricks and dirty games, for this reason, him and Azazel get on quite well, and while that collecter of hearts has not managed to swipe this fox just yet, their back and forth can be quite amusing to watch. Anya loves demons and humans alike, and while his outward demenor is laughs, cocky flirts and dark deeds, he is just the kind to take a chance on doing something// 'charitable' A poor naive little human? He MUST take pity on you, surely. But the more time you spend with him, the more you'll begin to notice that despite his mouth, his gestures are protective, often pulling you to his side, or snarling and snapping at anyone who takes an interest. Like it or not, once he's adopted you, you're his. And if you're lucky, VERY lucky, you might be allowed to pet his stupidly soft tails.

@daisukenojothebeat:
*The young man would be hurt by the comments made. Surely Rhyme wouldn’t forget her own brother, would she? However both shame and guilt stopped Beat from answering truthfully. Maybe it would be better for her not to remember him and how exactly they wound in the UG together. Still, as her older brother Beat swore right there and then he would do anything to protect her even if she would never be aware of it.*
“I don’t think so, would’ve remembered if we have right…but since we here together how about we make a team? You cool wid that?”
Weird. There was something so familiar about this guy, but if he didn’t recognize her, then she must have been imagining it. She hadn’t been in the best headspace since she woke up, anyway. It felt like something was missing, and she thought she remembered her brother being with her before all this...
Worrying about it now wouldn’t help. For now, she just needed to get through this Game, and for that she needed a partner.
“...Sure, why not?” She offered her hand to form a pact, smiling brightly. “I’m Raimu Bito, but you can call me Rhyme. Let’s do our best together, okay?”

TWEWY 12
Tumblr media
Grande Finale already!
I felt the same nervousness and excitement I felt when I watched the first episode while watching the last one. I’m excited, half knowing what I’d see but not knowing what else to expect.
Can’t believe we finally got to this point. I took so many screenshots... I had to limit myself cause they’re not all gonna fit in one tumblr post.
Also I don’t have to give a spoiler warning anymore. Length warning though cause this is super long!(longer than the usual posts I made for this series at least).
Tumblr media
Kitaniji transforms into a three-headed monster and unlike in the game, he doesn’t capture any of Neku’s partners nor use Josh’s power to do so. I’m not sure what explanation there is as to how he got more than one noise form but I guess he’s the Conductor so maybe it’s part of his powers here.
Shiki and Beat awaken in the middle of Neku’s fight and help out. The trio then forms some kind of three-way pact (four if Rhyme actually counted although now completely sure?) and continue battling Kitaniji. The fight scene was pretty cool especially Beat’s attack with the chains. It just sucks the fight ended too fast. I guess all of TWEWY anime’s boss fights end kinda fast even though they’re uh, boss fights.
Tumblr media
Final attack beam like in the game! It was too fast and I couldn’t get a good shot of the white version this transforms into (which looks like the one in the game). They have an explanation later as to why it looks different at first but they’ll talk about it later.
It’s sad Joshua isn’t part of this. This is supposed to be the four-way fusion attack. (;-;)
Tumblr media
They defeat Kitaniji who disappears, sad that he was unable to protect Shibuya. Joshua never showed up in this boss battle so Kitaniji never got to talk to Joshua for the last time. In the game he at least dies happy in a way - he lost but he gave it his all and his Composer praised his efforts. He was also able to tell Neku that the rest is up to him now. Here in the anime, he just... he lost and felt bad. I wish they had Josh show up here but they had other ideas.
A new door opens and Neku braced himself as he knows the fight isn’t over cause there’s still one last guy on top.
Tumblr media
They find themselves in this room/hallway (is this supposed to be the Trail of the Judged?) filled with CAT murals. This somewhat confirms the “CAT = Composer” theory and Neku has now accepted it, calling out Mr. Hanekoma to show himself.
And yeah, the last episode’s title is the show’s title as well “It’s a Wonderful World”.
Tumblr media
Someone else showed up instead. Joshua finally makes his reappearance!
Boy, have I been waiting for you! I wish you were with them in the final battle earlier so you guys could be a team (and you could be one of Neku’s partners) one last time.
Neku is surprised but happy to see Joshua again. He thanks Joshua for saving him before and is glad that he’s okay.
In the game, this never happened cause Josh appears in the middle of a fight. Things were too hectic and when the battle with Kitaniji finally ended, he and Josh talked about their own game and so after Kitaniji disappears, what’s left is questioning what was happening. Since Josh didn’t show up earlier, they were able to reunite in a more peaceful way and Neku had no suspicion until Joshua himself brought it up.
And I guess that’s why I was so nervous when I watched this. It’s a bit too peaceful. I know what’s gonna happen next but not exactly how they’d adapt it.
Tumblr media
Joshua finally explains the truth to Neku and his friends.
This felt more... awful to watch. Like we had both Joshua and Kitaniji giving bits and pieces of the truth in the game via their conversation so there’s two people to focus on. Here it’s just Joshua. But in a way, I guess this works cause there’s no one else there to soften the blow and Joshua could make the revelation hurt more if he wishes so. It also kinda feels worse cause you see Neku happy to see Joshua earlier before the reveal happens. Kinda heartbreaking.
Tumblr media
“I’m the Composer of Shibuya.”
He finally says it clearly to a confused and surprised Neku.
Tumblr media
We get a flashback of Joshua and Kitaniji talking about Shibuya’s impending destruction, why it must happen, and Kitaniji making a deal to try and save it. He has a month to change things for the better and if it works out, he wins. If not, Joshua continues the destruction plan.
Joshua’s Composer form is more vague here. It’s human shaped but you don’t see his face and the outline glows like this so you don’t properly see the shape. I think this is better cause there’s no way you can tell who the Composer is like this and he looks less human.
Tumblr media
Beat gets angry at the revelation and tries to attack Joshua which he couldn’t do because of Joshua’s powers. I wasn’t able to get a screenshot of this but Josh is twirling his hair after this while Beat struggles to try and punch him. He’s cute and I know this is kind of inappropriate to say in this situation given he legitimately made someone mad and he deserves that punch to his pretty face.
Tumblr media
Joshua uses his powers to freeze the others (and later renders them unconscious to keep them quiet). Neku is worried about his friends and is mad.
Tumblr media
Joshua tells him he won’t hurt Neku’s friends. He then explains about how he found his proxy. Which is Neku much to his horror at what this meant.
I just had to get this with the subtitles on. I replayed the scene several times to hear if there was no error. Joshua says “Daiji na Neku-kun no tomodachi...” and I google translated it. It says “daiji” means “important”. So yeah, he definitely called Neku “important” to him. It’s surprising although this wouldn’t be out of place in the original game since they had more moments to just talk on there.
Yeah, I know I focused on this a little but I’m a nekujosh/joshneku shipper so forgive me for latching onto this.
Tumblr media
Neku slowly sees the bigger picture as Joshua continues to explain himself. As a reward for getting this far, Joshua returns Neku’s memories.
He really had to get that close while saying Neku’s name, didn’t he?
Tumblr media
Neku’s death flashback. The scene plays almost similar to the game right down to the censored guns (is this a creative decision to make it faithful to the game or are they really just not allowed to draw actual guns?). I was gonna make a joke about how Joshua stopped Minamimoto’s bullets using an AT field but the shot was different and the bullets just looked like they froze midair and not stopped by some kinda force field like in the game.
Neku ends up getting shot by Joshua complete with bleeding unlike in the game. I just have to wonder if I was the one who got it wrong cause in the game, Joshua looks like he’s aiming for Neku’s head and here, Neku gets shot on the chest. Did they change it cause a headshot would be too much or has it always been a shot to the chest?
Tumblr media
Neku angrily walks over to Josh and grabs him by the collar. Joshua stops Neku with his powers as he continues to explain about what happened regarding the death scene and Minamimoto. Joshua then materializes two guns out of thin air and places one on Neku’s hand as he tells him the rules of their final duel: just shoot and if Neku wins, he could save his friends and he becomes Composer and do what he wants. What stood out with how he said it is that he didn’t exactly go “If you don’t beat me, Shibuya is destroyed.” and instead went “If you win, these are what you get to be Composer and whatever else you’d like! Sounds good, right?”. As if saying killing him has a lot of perks.
It feels weird seeing Josh physically placing the gun on Neku’s hand cause in the game, the gun was by Neku’s feet and Neku had to pick it up on his own accord. Anyways, I like the effect they used to materialize the gun cause it’s the same effect for the names of the routes when they show them on screen. Like graffiti or something.
Tumblr media
At this point Neku’s crying. The shot didn’t feel as dramatic as in the game in my personal opinion. Neku is tearing up here but he looks tired and was about to sob in the game. Joshua meanwhile, counts down from ten.
Before Joshua’s count hits three, Neku hears a somewhat distorted voice (which we know is just Mr. H) saying “Trust your Partner”. This reminded Neku how he got to where he is: by trusting his partners. (I have something to say about this later)
Tumblr media
In a very shocking turn of events, instead of just lowering the gun and letting himself be shot like in the game, Neku drops his gun and with a hand outstretched tells Joshua “I’ll trust you”. Oh my god... they really did it. I love this change not gonna lie. I think they might have added this cause they didn’t adapt Neku’s ending monologue where he does say he trusts Joshua. It’s less dramatic than the game though since Neku doesn’t say anything while Joshua is counting down. In the game, he was crying and saying how he thought Joshua was his friend and how all of this really hurt him. Guess we take what we can get and they gave us this.
Joshua smiles as he shoots but as Neku falls, the smile on Joshua’s face disappears.
Mr. H didn’t show up at the end here either so Neku didn’t get to see him.
Tumblr media
Neku wakes up in the middle of Scramble Crossing like usual but he bumps into people and so he realizes that he’s alive now. He doesn’t scream after the very stressful crap he went to like in the game. Might not be entirely the same but Joshua still left him lying down in the middle of the street. Nice.
We then see a short timelapse from above Shibuya which is probably supposed to show a week has passed. Neku’s monologue wasn’t added in and no ending music as well. I’m disappointed “A Lullaby for You” wasn’t used. Here I was hoping for a miracle.
By the way, Shooter, Yammer, and I think Makoto all passed him by the scramble. They really didn’t get much screentime but at least they made cameos.
Tumblr media
Neku finally meets up with the Bito siblings like at the game’s epilogue! The shot they did was almost the same as with the game, too. They have dialogue here instead of just stills with Neku showing how happy he was to see his friends alive again, too. I’m happy the anime version showed him smiling more at the end cause he needed that after everything. It’s nice to see him smile.
Tumblr media
RG! Shiki is here! With the same shot as in the game! They really aren’t gonna show us her face, huh? Also, all of the shots with Shiki on them has her back towards us. Like there are scenes where Neku and the rest are looking forward and she’s in front of them with her back turned on us. Why? They could’ve used the lighting on her glasses to obscure her eyes, too. So her bangs are a secret as well then?
They show Eri later, too enjoying a concert, by the way. I was hoping to see a reunion between her and Shiki as well and them finally talking after the stuff from before. Oh well.
Tumblr media
Neku takes off his headphones and he and Shiki do a proper introduction with each other with Shiki being herself this time. (Is Shiki the same height as Neku? It looks like that from this angle.)
Anyways, this was a nice way to adapt Neku taking off his headphones since they can’t do it like in the game.
Tumblr media
They adapted the secret ending but expanded it to add stuff from the secret reports to explain other lore stuff which would’ve been missed by the anime-only watchers since those are part of bonus game contents. Mr. Hanekoma and Joshua talk about the events of the long game and Joshua says he knew it was Mr. H whose responsible for Minamimoto.
They also talk about the Red Skull Pins and how Mr. H made it for Kitaniji. Mr. H says the pins imprints Kitaniji’s will on people and that he himself (Mr. H) doesn’t need that cause he could do so with all the graffiti he left all over town.
Which brings me to earlier in the duel: Neku hears a voice, clearly (to us) is Mr. Hanekoma’s and it’s in a place filled to the brim with CAT graffiti. Did he imprint the words “Trust your partner” to Neku?
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Beat wonders how they were able to pull off the final attack. Neku says it was probably the pin Hanekoma gave them (the keypin looking thing). I guess they needed an explanation for the last attack but they didn’t have the fusion pin so they used this keypin instead. It’s why the attack looked different in the beginning when the attack was powering up.
Tumblr media
There’s apparently a new CAT graffiti at Udagawa and of course, CAT-fanboy Neku has to see it. On the way, they meet Sota and Nao who are now alive! I’m so happy!! Joshua brought them back, too! I always felt bad about what happened to them in the game. I’m glad they got a happy ending in the anime.
Def March, 777′s band, are back as well and look... they got their winged mic back! It makes me wonder if they found it later on or if Joshua gave that to them back the same time when he brought them back lol. I’m just really happy for all of them.
Tumblr media
Joshua’s wings!! This is, unfortunately, the best shot I could get since they never really zoom in on this. In the game he is in his Composer form in the secret ending and turns into a ball of light when he leaves. Here, we see his wings. It’s smaller than the one he has in KH:DDD. At least we canonically see it here.
I can now use the term “Joshua Maji Tenshi” and be accurate!
Mr. H points out that Joshua looks lonely and is in denial and Josh just leaves. Mr. H also shows his wings and leaves afterwards, too. I didn’t take a pic of it since we see it in the game’s secret ending anyways. His wings also seem smaller than in the game.
Tumblr media
Final shot of the new CAT graffiti. I was so close to crying the entire ending and this nearly tipped me over but it didn’t. If “A Lullaby for You” was playing, I’d have probably bawled my eyes out. This graffiti is beautiful. I want a sticker of it.
Also, I just noticed but CAT’s old graffiti at Udagawa had mostly darker colors. This new one is brighter and is more colorful.
--
First of all, I wanted to thank tumblr for not giving me an error for posting more than 15 images like I usually did. I was bracing myself for the error pop up and was gonna make a part 2 instead but there was some kind of miracle and I got more than 20 pictures on here.
I have a lot of melodramatic things to say about the anime but I’ll save it all for later. For now, I’ll say something else. I’m sad they didn’t adapt Neku’s monologue. Those words from Neku still hits me in the feels to this day. Him saying that the entire ordeal really affected him in more ways than one and it wasn’t all good even though he’s happy about changing and what he learned from the experience. His line about how he can’t forgive Joshua but trusts him was cut along with it and it would’ve been nice to have to know what he thought of Joshua.
The thing I missed the most was the “I have friends now. We’re meeting each other for the first time in a week. See you there?” lines. It shows how happy Neku is that he now has people to call his friends which is super heartwarming and the line implies that he counts Joshua as one of those friends, too (which is properly confirmed in KH: DDD which I’d probably make a post about later if I get the motivation to do so). That would’ve also made the last scene with Josh hit harder. In the game, knowing Josh wanted to be with them and is sad he couldn’t already makes me sad but also knowing Neku is waiting for him makes it much worse (and I still feel pain thinking about it even after all these years).
Maybe we’d see them get reunited in NTWEWY. Hopefully. I really do hope so.
The anime isn’t perfect but it did what it could with the limited amount of time it had. The show would’ve been better if they had more episodes but we don’t know why it ended up with just 12 so we can’t really say anything else. They did it and it wasn’t as bad as I was fearing in a way. Would I recommend it? I’d probably rec the game first, to be honest. I was only okay with watching cause I have played the game and could fill in the missing stuff but the anime-only fans couldn’t and the thought that they won’t be able to fully appreciate the entire story of twewy is kinda sad. It was a nice watch though and I’d miss waiting for it every week.
I wonder if they’d make “A New Day” OVA since the anime is supposed to help the ones who haven’t/couldn’t play the first game but would go play NTWEWY and that scenario has story stuff that’s connected to the sequel.
Anyways, thanks for reading this far if you did! I’ll be watching gameplays of NTWEWY when it comes out in full (since I don’t have the money nor the console for it).

Seisan Matchi - Yoshiko vs Act Yasakawa
In 2015, Joshi Wrestling was experiencing something of a renaissance thanks to a wealth of both experienced and up and coming wrestlers under various promotions across Japan. Stardom is consistently recognised as one of the premier Joshi Puroresu companies in Japan and has had established the careers of wrestlers such as Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo (Kairi Sane in WWE) and Mayu Iwatani to name but a few. Since its inception in 2010. They were always known for high quality matches that would outshine the US companies at the time who were still establishing their women’s wrestling as they moved away from the era of the Diva.
Throughout the 80’s and 90’s, Joshi Puroresu was always well respected, not just in Japan but across the world as talents would travel into the US and perform for WWF and WCW, most notably Bull Nakano who won the then WWF women’s title in 1994. And in reverse, there was a wealth of US talent that would travel to Japan to ply their trade with their Japanese peers, learning the style that was much more than the glamour of the American counterparts. Women such as Madusa (Alundra Blayze), Monster Ripper and Amazing Kong (later Awesome Kong) would establish themselves within the Joshi system despite being Gaijin (foreigners).
World Wonder Ring Stardom – known more commonly as Stardom – was founded in 2010 by former All Japan Women producer Rossy Ogawa, retired wrestler Fuka Kakimoto (known as Fuka) and professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi (known as Nanae). Although Stardom prides itself in hard hitting matches and work rate, it has previous come under fire for its unfair approach to pushing its female stars, placing a huge emphasis on the attractiveness of its stars to promote the company. This would be considered common within the Joshi system as the majority of the people that are attending the shows are male. Usually around 70% of the fanbase at shows are male, but in counter to that New Japan shows, which have Male only talent, the fan base is around 60% female.
This emphasis on attractiveness and professional jealousy is what is believed to be the main reason for what happened on February 22nd, 2015 at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall at a Stardom event which was contested for the World of Stardom Championship.
Yoshiko Hirano was born July 26th, 1993. At the time of the incident, she was 21 years old. She was trained by Stardom founders Nanae and Fuka, as well as her tag team partner Natsuki Taiyo and Yuu Yamagata. She was a part of Stardom’s first trainees alongside Mayu Iwatani and Yoko Bito. She was given a heel persona which followed the style of the Yankii culture, which is considered to be brash, non-conforming and disrespectful.
Yusa Yasakawa was born November 13th, 1986. She made her Pro Wrestling debut in 2012 for Stardom, for whom she wrestled exclusively during her career. She was trained by Stardom founder Fuka. She has won the World of Stardom championship twice and was forced to vacate the title on both occasions due to injuries and illness. In 2014, after several defences of her belt, she relinquishes due to complications with her thyroid which was linked to Graves Disease. She went away for cataract surgery and returned to wrestle again 12 months later.
Yoshiko was considered to be protégé of Nanae, a true monster wrestler who was moulded in the old-fashioned Joshi style that was more in place with that of the cotemporaries of All Japan women. At the time of the match, she was the World of Stardom champion. Act Yasakawa was more of a style for the newer generation of Joshi puroresu. She was smaller in stature that Yoshiko and also, from the view of those higher up in the company, considered to be more attractive and marketable than her counterpart. Both women were part of the same stable in Stardom at one point named Kawasaki Katsushika Saikyou Densetsu Plus One.
As the match begins, both women stare across the ring from each other before they eventually begin trading blows with elbows and punches connecting wildly. Yoshiko, as the bigger of the two, managed to drag Yasakawa to the ground after throwing lots of punches at her face in the corner. The referee intervenes at this point and forces a break by Yoshiko as he can see that Yasakawa is bleeding heavily from her nose and mouth. Yasakawa crawls to the corner where she is checked on by the referee and Kyoko Kimura who was at ringside. The referee goes across to Yoshiko and you can sim him making a closed fist gesture, warning her that she must not punch with a closed fist which is traditional in wrestling to protect your opponent. As Yasakawa gets treatment from her corner, the camera zooms in to Yoshiko’s welted hands. The match was barely 1 minute in from the start bell and her hands showed signs of the closed fist punches that she’s was warned of by the referee.
The match restarts and Yasakawa is still getting to her feet when Yoshiko makes her way to the centre of the ring. Yoshiko makes a grab for Yasakawa’s hair which forces her into the ropes. She manages to fight back hitting her with some punches of her own, but Yoshiko is much larger and stronger than the smaller Yasakawa and hits her with a few more punches to the head and body before taking her to the ground again. Yoshiko then continues the use palm strikes to the side of Yasakawa’s head and face before standing up and moving away for a brief moment. The clearly frustrated Act stands up, still blood running from her nose and staggered from the assault.
Act approaches Yoshiko, looking as if she tries to engage with her to cooperate but Yoshiko stands stoic, hands on hips to signify her disrespect towards her opponent. Act throws a kick towards Yoshiko’s left side, but she grabs her leg and swings another palm strike towards Yasakawa’s face which narrowly misses, and they grapple into the centre of the ring, where Yoshiko again has gained the top control. Act’s head is in between Yoshiko’s legs and unable to attack, so Yoshiko powers Act over onto her back and struggles to manoeuvre into a position to attack again before Yasakawa gets her foot onto the ropes to force a break. As the referee asks for the break, Yoshiko places herself into a push-up pose, using Yasakawa’s face and abdomen as her balance points. She is pushing down on Act’s face the majority of this and eventually gets up, which then allows her to hit a heavy kick onto Yasakawa’s back as she attempts to stand up.
In a momentary change of pace, Yoshiko whips Yasakawa off the ropes and hits a heavy shoulder block/push which sends Yasakawa flying backwards to the floor. This happens a second time but while Yasakawa is grounded, Yoshiko stomps to the back of Act’s head 3 times, 2 which connected, one which was avoided by Act in a last-ditch effort.
Yoshiko then picks up Yasakawa, driving her face into the turnbuckle pad. Act turns around but is met quickly by Yoshiko who grabs her hair and throws her into the opposite corner, following up the more strikes to the head and then applying a guillotine choke. Yoshiko tries to drag the flailing Act into the centre of the ring but Yasakawa grabs the rope and then wraps her foot around the bottom rope, forcing the referee to start a 5 count for a break.
As Yoshiko walks back to the centre of the ring, the referee seems to motion towards Act to see if she is able to continue. Yasakawa nods and tried to regain some composure before returning to the centre of the ring herself. She circles Yoshiko before swinging out at her, which Yoshiko anticipates and throws a few strikes before again getting Act onto the ground by her hair. While on the ground, Yoshiko mounts her back and begins closed fist punching to Act’s face and head again. Act spins onto her front and with Yoshiko sitting atop of her, the referee calls for another break. While getting up, Yoshiko stands her full body weight onto Yasakawa’s stomach. As she moves away, Yasakawa rolls out of the ring where she is immediately met by Kris Wolf and other ringside wrestlers.
Yasakawa’s face is heavily swollen and visible, evident from the closed fist punches and palm strikes by Yoshiko. The referee begins a count but is called to check on Act and see that she is unfit to continue the match. The Referee re-enters the ring but at this point has not drawn a conclusion to the match. Yasakawa tried to climb back into the ring to maintain her dignity but is stopped by the other ringside players and as Yasakawa screams towards Yoshiko, a towel is thrown in to signify that the fight is over. The referee refers to the bell keeper and the bell rings around the arena.
With Yasakawa still screaming at ringside angrily, Kyoko Kimura lauched herself at Yoshiko before being dragged away from her by other present players. Yasakawa was taken away to hospital where they diagnosed fractured cheek nasal and orbital bones which required surgery, with doctors being very concerned with the damage to her eyes due to her surgery the previous year.
3 days later, a press conference was held where the World of Stardom championship was vacated, and Yoshiko was suspended indefinitely. The founders took a 30% pay cut for several months and Nanae ended up leaving the company as tensions between the foundrs over the incident continued.
Although Yoshiko apologised for the incident, many questioned her motives as 3 months later she decided to retire. During the customary 10 bell salute of a retiring player, she turned her back and walked out of the ceremony.
Though the reason for the fight is still contested and speculated, the fact this this match was given the name Seisan Matchi (Ghastly Match) shows how difficult it is to watch.
Act Yasakawa retired from In-ring competition on December 23rd, 2015 as a result of her injuries but continues to work with Stardom, most recently as a manager for the Oedo Tai stable.
Yoshiko had a 5-year exodus from Stardom, working with Nanae’s company Seadlinnng since its inception in 2016. She also tried her hand at MMA with Korean company Road FC. In March 3rd, 2021 both she and Nanae returned to Stardom competing at their 10th year anniversary show, All Star Dream Cinderella. Nanae fought against Momo Watanabe coming out with a victory and Yoshiko took on Mayu Iwatani in a losing effort.
I have put a link below so you can watch the match at your discretion.

Hurt Giyuu Week | Day 3 | Demon AU
Initially I was combining days 3 and 4 because I was behind, but I would rather not lose my theme for day 4, so HGW is just going to be late rather than lose quality and mash days together.
In this the reader is Giyuu’s tsugoku!
Please excuse a bit of wobbly timing within this, the details of the order of demon moons deaths was shifted because I'm dumb and can't remember the exact order.
Giyuu had never truly been prepared to fight the upper moons. No pillar had been, after all a century had passed without a winning fight against one until recently. Killing three upper moons within a year should have felt like progress, all things considered, but it seemed there were no shortage of demons to take their place.
He had kept a list in mind, knowing fully well there were six upper moons. The lower three had been defeated previously and surely their replacements would come quickly, but perhaps too quickly for his taste. Crows overhead screeched updates to the other battles, and his panic seemed to rise when only five demon moons were accounted for. That wasn't right- but the time to think about that was gone as Upper Moon Three appeared before he and his two companions.
His tsugoku and Tanjirou stood with him, standing against Akaza, but the fight seemed to be an odd shift. While the demon put his full force into destroying the two males, his tsugoku was free from such harsh treatment. Not that she was spared entirely, nor did that grant her the ability to even behead him. A part of him begged she would manage to make it out of this fight alive, he didn't want the person he loved most to perish, but he knew he needed to win for such a thing to become reality.
She was smarter than she lead on, though. She may not be able to kill the demon, but she could distract him. If he wasn't dedicated to killing her then she could use that in her favor. Placing herself between the demon and her male slayers could become an act of protection - she just needed to keep her stamina.
It didn't last, not nearly as long as she had hoped. Tanjirou was knocked out, Giyuu's sword broken. With the last of her strength she stood before Giyuu, blocking Akazas advance.
"Strength and will like that would make an excellent demon, and you pass the opportunity and choose death. What a loss…" Akaza wouldn't let his hands be the one to kill the woman, but the man was another story. "The strongest water breath users I've had the pleasure of seeing, all in front of me."
Giyuu didn't like the sound of any of that, as if the demon had already written them off as dead on his mind. Of course he would, their strength wasn't to be compared. However he needed to win, even at the cost of his life. There were five demon moons found so far, two killed and two others currently being fought, and the one before him. It still haunted him that another was not accounted for - there's clearly a replacement if upper moon six had already been replaced. He would figure that out as soon as he killed the pink haired demon in front of them.
"So you're counting me out?" The voice was stern, hinting at an underlying playfulness. A flurry of water passed through, a flash of peach. It was enough to make Giyuu's stomach drop. "That's cute, you're giving them a choice."
"Sa… bito…?" The tsugoku almost dropped her sword, not that the other two slayers could blame her. This wasn't possible, he had been killed before the older two, the younger had seen his spirit when training with Urokadaki. What was going on?
The demon flicked his head towards the current water pillar and his next in line, gaze ice cold before a fake smile covered his lips. Sharp teeth filled his grin, looking more sinister than his younger self had ever feared his scar appearing. His hair was longer, he had aged into adulthood, or at least looked to be their current age - with a pair of peach fox ears and a full tail swishing behind him.
"When you two said together forever, you must have meant the afterlife as well." The demon approached the two, tail swaying in curiosity. Black filled his scleras, making the lavender of his eyes menacing where they had once been calming.
"Giyuu… Something is wrong…" More than their old friend being a demon - his face was the same but the man inside was different. Still Giyuu couldn't react, he could only hear the drumming of his heart beat in his ears.
"A woman defending you? Have you really fallen so far? That's not the way a man should act."
Giyuu's eyes grew heavy, the blood loss and shock pushing him beyond his limits. Unceremoniously his sword fell from his hands, clanging loudly against the floor as consciousness left him.
"That just won't do, Giyuu. You were trained better than that."
_________________________________________
Giyuu woke to a searing pain, making him gasp out a miserable cry of agony before the thumping of his own heart beat took over. It felt as if he were being burned, but from under his skin. His organs felt as if they were twisted, cramping and tearing apart at once. Nothingness blanketed his vision as his body entered shock, his body convulsing at the sensations coursing through him.
Eventually he felt as if he had died. The aches faded away, the torment no longer riddled his body. He had either died or mercy had been blessed upon him.
Tired blue eyes blinked open, finding his surroundings dark, almost pitch black. Immediately his hands went to his wounds only to find them healed. How long had he been asleep for this to heal? The moment his arms raised to itch his eyes there was a pause.
Were those his hands? No way, not possible. Ashen skin was graced by blue nails, sharpened to a point. Looking down he found himself dressed in a plain kimono, spared of the blood and sweat that had covered him previously.
Just what the fuck was going on?
As Giyuu shifted to look around the shoji opened, causing dull candle light to filter around the figures in the doorway.
"About time you woke up. I thought you'd never make it." That voice, that hair, that haori - he knew it to all be Sabito's, but he wasn't sure what kind of person he had become - or rather, what kind of demon he had become. Behind the peach haired demon was the pillar's tsugoku, changed and cleaned as he had been. Unceremoniously she was pushed into the room, her balance altered by the hands tied behind her back that almost caused her to trip.
Something was wrong. His stomach hurt so, so badly. His mouth way dry, as if he hadn't had water in days, yet salivated so abundantly he couldn't contain it. An ache pulled at his stomach, leaving him hungry in a way he had never experienced before.
"I'm glad to see you survived the transition. I even brought her to see you, she wouldn't shut up about making sure you were alive." How ill he spoke of her would have been a red flag to Giyuu if he weren't so weak with the need to fill his belly. Idly his tired gaze moved from Sabito to his lover, watching as her lips trembled as she struggled to find words.
"...Giyuu…?" He didn't like how she fell to her knees with tear filled eyes, nor how she stopped just beyond his arms reach when she crawled closer.
"Ah, ah, ah! Not so close." Sabito yanked her hair, pulling her back into his grasp. "It'd be a shame if he bit you, you know. Poor thing is probably starving."
The truth he wanted to deny was in front of him - he had become a demon. Desires for food he once deemed a sin against humanity flooded his mind no matter how he denied himself. Beyond his hunger, confusion rattled his brain. If he had been turned into a demon then why hadn't his tsugoku been changed as well?
"We can spend together forever, just as we were before." The sickly sweet look lavender eyes hid their darker intent. "Just the two of us, Giyuu. It'll be like old times, after Mokomo left for her exam. Before your little friend here joined us."
The newly turned demon felt his breath stop. What was he implying? His aching form struggled to comply with his will to move, movements shaky as he attempted to move into a crouching position.
"Don't do anything-"
"I don't think you're in any position to give me orders, water pillar. Not only can you barely move, you're starving and this little thing here-" A peach clawed hand held the water pillar's lover by her chin, the nails biting into the skin of her cheeks until small drops of blood gave way. "She's going to be your first meal."
"Giyuu-" Before she could say more a hand wrapped around her throat, constructing tightly. The demon in question trembled, scared she'd die by hand that had kept them both alive eight years prior.
"I should have let that demon eat you, but that would have upset Giyuu at the time. But you know what? I think he can handle it now. You've seen plenty of people die, what's one more?" Sabito barked a laugh, not even paying mind that the girl in his grasp had quit struggling.
" Sabito, you're going to- She's-" The blue eyes man moved, attempting to do something, anything to save her life. He couldn't stand by and watch anyone he loved die again.
"I know." Just as Giyuu moved closer the fox demon kicked his chest, sending him flying back. After he dropped the woman, letting her fall to the floor limply. "She's alive, but for how long?"
Giyuu was crumpled up across the room, feeling most of his ribs broken. Why wasn't he healing faster? He was a demon now, what gives? With an impaired gait he set closer to the two, only to be blinded by a flurry of blue and peach.
"You're making this so hard, Giyuu. I'm doing this for you, why are you fighting me?" A choked noise came from the pillar as his own blade pierced his back, traveling through him and pinning his form to the floor.
"It's a shame you're fighting me, but I had to save you in some way. All the slayers are going to die and I needed to make sure you weren't included."
"Why?" Giyuu's question went unanswered as Sabito drug his tsugoku closer by her hair. She was dropped before him, just out of reach. Bruising littered her throat but he could see she was breathing - faintly, but she was alive. For the moment. Her eyes moved behind her eyelids as she stirred into some form of consciousness, not that she was particularly awake.
"I love you enough to prepare your first meal for you, seeing as you probably will need your strength after a blow like that." Sabito smiled so happily, as if he weren’t reaching to the girl’s throat. Giyuu felt helpless, unable to move and beyond exhausted with a hunger he knew to never feed growing.
“Don’t-”
“Aww, that’s cute. You still care about her? You should probably let that go, it won’t do you well when you eat her.”
“I won’t.”
“I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.” Sabito’s smile didn’t trick him and he could only close his eyes and pray his tsugoku was unconscious enough to no longer feel pain.
The sound entered his ears in a way that echoed in his head. Some part of her, he wasn’t sure where and he didn’t want to know, had been torn open. The scent of blood filled the air, more noticeable by his heightened senses. Nausea filled his stomach as he realized it didn’t smell bad to him any longer. His stomach clenched and growled for food even if he felt he was about to pass out from the fact he grew hungry to consume the flesh of his lover. He hated himself, he felt disgusted.
“For your sake I made it fast. Screams are nice, but you don’t like loud noises if I recall correctly, do you? Here, hold this.”
Giyuu didn’t want to know what was placed under his temporarily lifted hand, but he knew very well despite his denial. Soft hair graced his fingers, obviously cleaned and washed. Sabito had planned this, washed her to be clean and pristine to be eaten. Even with his eyes shut he knew her head wasn’t connected and tears poured down his cheeks to soak the tatami below him. He wanted to hold her, or what he could, with both of his hands, but he couldn’t handle feeling her torn neck if he touched it while trying to use his other hand. Prayers to go blind echoed in his head so he could never see the horror before him.
“I think it’s a bit poetic to kill her the way I was killed. After all, she would have died that way anyway if I weren’t there. If she were still awake she could see everything for a while, you know. You think I’m evil to choke her out and take her head off, but it was quite the mercy kill. You’re so soft to such things, I knew if she screamed it would upset you.”
The familiarity didn’t help, in fact it made it worse. Sabito knew very well what he was doing, exactly how much this all hurt, yet he did it anyway.
“Why…? Why are you doing this? You could have just left Akaza to kill us…”
“Ah, he’d never kill the girl, so that’s where you’re wrong.” He sounded so sure, like it was a matter of fact Giyuu should have obviously known. “He never eats women, which is a shame. A balanced diet would make him stronger. Though he is now the second upper moon, so I guess that’s besides the point.”
That wasn’t soothing in the slightest. If anything he feared Tanjirou, not to mention the rest of the slayers, was killed as well. How much could he take in one night?
The sound of snapping bones and tearing flesh entered his ears.
“STOP IT. You killed her, at least don’t eat her.”
“Oh it’s not me that’s going to eat her. Well, at most I’ll have a bite. She’s your meal. And you’re going to eat, even if I have to rip off your lower jaw to force it down your throat. You need to eat like a growing boy, we have a lot ahead of us.”
With that a hard slap clapped against his cheek, one that would have easily broken his jaw if he weren’t a demon. The shock caused his iridescent blue eyes to shoot open in retaliation before those same orbs found his lovers head.
The urge to vomit filled him, seeing her ashen lips and mangled neck. His only solace was that she wasn’t awake to feel it fully, if that could even be called a comfort. His hands cupped her cheeks, feeling them cold beneath his fingers. As much as he wanted to memorize the last time he would see her face, choking sobs wracked his form against the floor as tears blurred his vision.
It was his fault. Had she not stuck with him then she would have been safe, or at least had a chance to see the next day. If she never followed him, if she had listened when he asked her to retire from the corps, if he would have demanded she stay with Uzui and Shinjurou to watch over Kiriya - she would be alive right now. If only he had tried harder. She wanted to be stronger, to stay by his side and make sure he never perished. For better or worse she got her wish.
Suddenly a hand shot into his mouth, pushing warm meat against his tongue and down his throat. He didn’t even want to look over to see her body to know which part he was being forced to eat. It was all too much, he hated everything in his life that lead him here. He hated himself for being too weak to change anything.
“Eat up, she would have wanted the best for you.”
He wanted to die.

She likes detective stories
ElongSue fanfic, Ralph Dibny/Sue Dearbon (kind of, implied I guess). The Flash CW
After an interview with Sue’s former boyfriend, Ralph thinks about her and he's shocked to notice he's starting to see her as something else than a case.
It hadn't been easy, getting an appointment with Mr. Wladon. He was quite busy, being the head, in Washington, of the consulate of Modora, a tiny but wealthy republic in Eastern Europe.
He was also the man whom Sue Dearbon had had her most serious relationship with, according to her parents.
Ralph had had to call to the consulate several times, but his secretary kept giving him the round around, because he was a nobody, until he decided to throw discretion away and say it was about Sue’s disappearance. After that, the secretary rushed to call him back to make an appointment.
Once he was, at last, at his magnificent (and maybe a bit pretentious) office, he got to study the guy. Bito Wladon was a handsome, well dressed and dark-haired man, with a fancily trimmed beard and almost as tall as Ralph himself. Obviously, that young lady was used to have only the finest in everything - clothes, jewels... and boyfriends.
"Mr. Dibny". He greeted, extending his hand to him; his English had a weird accent. "My secretary informed me that you want to talk about Susan Dearbon. I-I didn't know she was missing. I thought she was on a trip across Europe''.
Sue's parents had spread that excuse around for all the not-so-close friends, relatives and acquaintances for the sake of discretion. Starting a nationwide search when she could have just fled for her own will would have entailed a scandal for both the Dearbons and Sue herself.
"When was the last time you saw Miss Dearbon?"
"In July of last year, when we broke up. We went separate ways since then."
He sharpened his senses. Being dumped is a good motive for revenge.
"I know this could be a little personal to ask, but why did you break your relationship? Was it a mutual decision or...?”
Wladon seemed embarrassed but answered anyway.
"She did break up, but it was my fault. I... proposed to her, I think before she was ready. Maybe I scared her. She said she was sorry but didn't want to tie herself down to anyone."
"Sorry to hear it", Ralph tried to sound sympathetic.
"I knew she didn't believe in marriage, but I had to try. She is the most amazing woman in the world, and I would have been the luckiest man if she had accepted me. But I doubt there’s someone so lucky. She never got too attached to anyone. She’s a free spirit".
For some reason, Ralph started to feel uneasy.
"Do you know if she had enemies, anyone who would want to harm her for some reason..."
"I don't think she has enemies; she is the kind of person who everybody likes. But she might have gotten into trouble".
"Trouble?", Ralph raised his eyes from his notebook. "Could you explain that?"
"Well, she has a thing for detectives".
He blinked in confusion.
"I beg your pardon?"
"I mean, she likes detective stories, mysteries. With passion. She has read all the books about mystery and crimes, and has watched every movie and show with detectives, especially the noir genre. Though her favorite are the ones of The Thin Man series."
"The Thin Man?"
"Yes. You know, the classic films with William Powell and Myrna Loy. They are her favorite movies."
"The Thin… all right". Ralph wrote the title on his notebook. He didn't know whether it would be useful but knowing his target's thoughts and preferences could help him to track her steps.
"She liked this detective thing so much that she liked to play it in the real life. She used to think her life as a mystery, adventurous story; and see herself as a detective amateur."
"Like Nancy Drew, you would say?", Ralph pointed out.
"Sort of", Wladon nodded with a smile. "She used to see hints for crimes or conspiracies everywhere and liked to follow the tracks she considered to be the most important, like it was an actual investigation", he recalled. "Her friends and I didn't mind that hobby of hers, it was one of her little eccentricities that made her so special. But now I think she might have run into something dangerous. Maybe, a real crime."
"I see", Ralph answered. "Do you remember something she could have said about those so-called 'investigations' of hers? Anything remarkable?"
"I don't know, she liked to follow up so many seeming clues... I remember once she told me she thought there was a dark, criminal organization wherein the highest echelons were involved. I didn't pay her much attention; she was always with those conspiracy theories. I'd wish I had listened to her so I could provide you with more details. I don't know whether she was right or wrong, but I couldn't forgive myself if something has happened to her."
Should he follow up on that "dark organization" track? Maybe he should gather more information from other sources. Until that, it seemed too vague for centering his investigation on it.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Thank you for your time, Mr. Wladon."
Ralph was quite sure that Bito Wladon was not responsible in Sue Dearbon's disappearance. Husbands, boyfriends (including former husbands or boyfriends) ... used to be the first suspects when a woman went missing, and usually not without a reason. Ralph's instincts didn't use to fail him. He used to know, just looking into the suspect's eyes, whether they were innocent or guilty. Many times, the husband or boyfriend was the culprit, like Regan Gimlin.
But that was not the case. Wladon's eyes didn't show guilt nor fear. He seemed to be ambitious and condescending, sure, and there was something in his eyes that Ralph didn't like, but he felt it had nothing to do with Sue. He seemed truly worried about her, maybe a bit more than worried. If he had to, Ralph would had bet that he was still in love with her.
Maybe he didn’t like him simply because he was a politician. Ralph had never liked politicians.
He turned to leave, but Wladon called him:
"Mr. Dibny?"
"Yes?" He turned again to him.
"Please find her and make sure she's safe".
"I will", he promised.
His suspicions were correct: Wladon still loved his ex-girlfriend and couldn’t cope with having lost her. Ralph couldn't blame him, though. He would have felt the same if he were in his place. Not that he would have the chance of knowing how it would be like, ever. He never was able to make work his relationships with regular girls, so a top-class one like Sue Dearbon would never even look at him.
That night, he looked again into the file of his case. He took a photo of his target and looked to it for a while. It was a pretty recent one, maybe from a couple of months before she went missing.
He had to admit she was quite attractive. No, she was gorgeous: her dark hair framed an angel face, and she had beautiful blue eyes and a cheerful, sweet smile. Her features were classy and somehow fragile, the kind that made you want to wrap her in your arms forever, to protect her. And something in her eyes was inviting and defying at the same time.
"A free spirit", Wladon had said.
The kind of girl who could drive any man crazy.
The kind of girl who could become any man's dream.
"She has a thing for detectives..."
He shook his head. What the heck was he thinking? Those thoughts were out of character for him. He was a professional, and she was his target. Nothing more.
He would have to be careful or would end up like the guy from that classic movie he watched ages ago... Laura, it was called. In that movie, a detective investigates the murder of a pretty, classy woman (not very different of Sue Dearbon), and he obsesses so much over her that he ends up falling in love with her memory...
(Later, it was revealed that she's alive, but that was not the point).
Sue Dearbon was not dead, he could feel it. She was alive somewhere, but she surely was in trouble, like Wladon said. Why else had she vanished with no trace, nor telling a thing to her worried parents.
She was alive somewhere, waiting to be found. Waiting to be rescued.
And he was the right person to do it.
"She likes detective stories"...
He searched for The Thin Man first movie and found it in one of those TV on demand channels. The main characters, played by Powell and Loy, were Nick and Nora Charles, a married couple who investigated mysteries together. The story was a little predictable and Ralph solved the crime much before the end of the movie, but he liked it. It was quite funny, and the Charles' relationship was couple goals.
But later, when he went to sleep, he had quite a weird dream. He was in The Thin Man universe, he was Nick Charles, and Sue Dearbon was Nora, his wife. And, just like the Charles, they lived an adventurous life, investigating mysteries together. And they were madly in love.
He woke up abruptly, sweating on his futon. Even more than usual.
"What the..." he muttered astonished. "Stop with this nonsense, Ralphie. Now", he ordered himself.
That dream was totally stupid, of course. But somehow it made appear a strange feeling of longing in Ralph's soul that didn't go away for a long time.
TRIVIA:
Bito Wladon, in DC comics, is the ruler of Modora and the villain Sonar. In The Elongated Man miniseries (1992) he's the main antagonist and in Justice League Europe issues #46 to #50 he even tries to steal Sue away from Ralph to make her his consort.
It is stated that Ralph and Sue Dibny characters are inspired in Nick and Nora Charles, from The Thin Man book (by Dashiell Hammett, 1934) and its subsequent film adaptations, starring William Powell and Myrna Loy.

Virus Who? How Our Memory Started Out as a Virus
The last thing anyone wants to give thanks to right now are viruses. However, recent research suggests that viruses may actually have provided us with a lot to be thankful for, including the ability to read, write, learn, and our overall faculty for memory, as well as holding the key to developing treatments for brain disorders.
Before we discuss how viruses are responsible for our ability to remember the latest TikTok dance, let’s review what exactly a virus is and how it works. A virus in simplest terms is a nucleic acid inside a protein – you can think of it like a note in a bottle: the nucleic acid is the note and the protein is the bottle protecting the message inside as it travels to its destination. The note wants to make more of itself, but it doesn’t have the machinery to do so, so it has to float around until it eventually comes into contact with a factory that can make bottles, which in the case of a virus is the cell. Once the message has entered the factory, it goes right to the boss (the cell’s nucleus), who then instructs the factory to produce as many notes in bottles as it can. The factory ships the newly made bottled notes to nearby factories, which begin making their own bottled notes, and the process continues. The virus itself isn’t bad – much like superhero movies, it just wants to keep being made again and again. It is only when superhero movies are the only thing being made that things get bad (I’m talking to you Disney).
Since viruses' main purpose are to replicate their information, if that information contains something useful for the body the virus is in, the virus can be beneficial. Just such a virus was consumed by one of our amphibian ancestors 375 million years ago and made us able to learn. But before I tell you that story, let’s discuss how memory itself works. Neurons communicate by transmitting signals across gaps between them known as synapses. Synapses have plasticity, meaning their connections can strengthen or weaken over time depending on how often they are activated (you may have heard the saying “use it or lose it”). This synaptic plasticity is what allows us to remember and learn. Arc (Activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein) is a protein that has been found to have a major role in synaptic plasticity and memory. When Arc is removed from mice, they can’t remember new information – their memories do not seem to be being transferred into long-term storage.[1] So how does Arc work? The Arc gene is activated when neurons are stimulated, and it produces Arc protein. The Arc protein then “gathers” genetic information from the activated neuron and clumps up around it. The Arc protein with the information inside is then secreted from the cell into the synapse and taken up by neighboring neurons, where it is then further synthesized. Sound familiar? Arc behaves just like a virus – it “infects” other cells, just instead of with the information to make more viruses, with the information necessary for forming memories.
This virus-like protein is not just found in mice and humans either, it is also found in birds, which likely means it is present in all land animals. Which brings us back to our great-great-great (times a few more million) grand-salamander: scientists hypothesize that the last common ancestor of all land vertebrates was infected by the viral precursor for Arc, which then incorporated itself into our genome and has stayed there ever since, allowing us to remember everything from the notes of Beethoven’s Sixth to the lyrics of Smash Mouth’s All Star. And if providing us the ability to learn wasn’t enough, the viral-like mechanism of Arc holds implications on how we might begin to treat neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, by boosting plasticity to maintain and improve memory. It has also been shown that when increased in adult mouse brains, Arc stimulates parts of the brain that have high plasticity during infancy, which may be used to combat cognitive decline.[2] What is clear is that we have just begun to scratch the surface of virus-like proteins and their implications for neuroscience and medicine.
Although the last thing you want to do right now is thank a virus, take a second to acknowledge Arc, the virus descendant that will one day allow us to look back on the current pandemic as a distant memory.

ANTIQUE MEMORY
The world that have been reflected on our eyes were all different But, all of the stories has been shown to them were important. So, just leave ourselves to the eternal flow
Such words like “rubbish”, if it means to be aimed at heart of ours Then, we shall vow to the sky to keep protecting you You, whom always believe in the bright guiding light that we carry
The silvery wind is calling us from the good old days Take my hands, once we touch each other again Then our eyes shall gaze at the future you wished for, we shall aim. To the far away hope, that will connect us Along the fate, we shall walk along the path that light showed us.
The crumbling passage of time is something that has been fated This feeling similiar to suffocation is growing inside us Is that the feeling of us giving up? Or was it an expectation?
Time causes scars marks, then we are just continually rotting, only to keep rotting If we are only waiting in this land where the stars stand still Then we are unable to change, we couldn’t change, by our own will, Ah.
The silvery dream will carry such a splendid blooming flower To bring shape of the present time Then we will wish together for the days of overflowing happiness
“This is a story from a long, long long time ago. They were loved by people How the *karakuri that light the torch, prayed”
Emotions turned into power, to turn the heart becoming stronger than anything Shining and being bathed by the splendidness, the pride that we embraced in our heart We won’t lost our way anymore, we won’t feel lost either We will walk on the path towards tomorrow, ah
The silvery wind is calling us from the good old days Take my hands, once we touch each other again Then our eyes shall gazing at the future you wished for, we will aim To the hope that is far away, that will connect us Along with fate, we shall meet each other Antique memory, as always
