This is random, sudden, stupid, non-hetalia related question, but how do you feel about with the way communism gets treated/discused on the internet, especially by people who didn't live under communism regime?

I used to not think much about that Buggs Bunny communism meme

But now when I look back at it, a tiny part of me feels like these whole "OUR [object] memes take the easy way of talking about communism. (That's not to say making jokes is not allowed), but it kinda comes across and potraying communism in a good light - like it's better than capitalism, for example.

Everyone gets treated equally, right? It's not like people died. It's not like there was limited ammount of food for people that people would have to use whatever theh could find at home to eat. It's not like staning out was frowned upon because you were expected to be blend in with others. It's not like owning too much in ussrs eyes would get you be seen as a treat.

And I'm aware I'm not qualified to discuss this. I didn't live through those times and not very knowlegable outside what I recall. I don't want to say the wrong thing, but even so.

So how do you feel about this?

I think the biggest communism fans actually deserve to taste their beloved communism: just some random people coming in your house and stealing everything yours and make it "ours", a government which kills any manifestation of individuality, thousands of concentration camps of free labour. I think they deserve to experience that. For some reason, I don't see many English speaking communism fans wanting to be deported to Belarus or China or North Korea or russia, their beloved communist countries.(although they don't call themselves communist countries, they actually pretty much are).

Ngl, I used to find this meme a bit funny until I realised people are dead serious about it. This trend became popular because of Pewdiepie, the most "popular" and one of the most paid YT bloggers. I would not be surprised if his sponsors were russian or Chinese.

In general, I don't really care about communism fans because 99% of them are just stupid and uneducated, and I don't wanna waste my time on them.

Oh, Now I get it, thanks by the way I do appreciate when people starts to like Alice/Spectra again after it was gone for years.

But now, Let's talk about something important of Alice and Spectra and how do I get there relarionship, Theh can really be open to anything like really, they can be a Fluff couple, just be friends and more, but since I like a but of angst in my life I have come with some Headcannons and ideas.

I do think that they would be toxic, don't get me wrong, I just think that it is more funny a couple where things would go west, instead of going full fluff.

Yeah I do, think that Alice is salty with Spectra for torturing Hydranoid, and for making experiments with Helios and the fact that he still does it with everyone knowing it and no body says shit because Spectra is friends with the brawlers.

I consider that much of the character development in this relationship turns around Alice, since I think Alice needs to open her eyes to feeling bad feelings, she is sugar and honey most of the time, she didn't get mad when Shadow spook her and I honestly think Alice is the type of girl that should grow up by hard blows because she is not dumb, but she has not develop the emotional inteligence she needs in life.

But I do think that she would have to learn how to survive with a aromantic boyfriend that like the atention and the sex but is bullshit as something as basic as afection.

Alice tends to get really overwhelmed with Spectra, after all Spectra likes to be cheecky with her, drag her around with it and then let her in peace.

I do really feel that Spectra is into BDSM

Alice starts to learn what is "hate sex"

They can have wholesome moments, and really dark moments.

I've been thinking of something

Okay so basically the issue at hand is: Is it possible to write a story where two minors have sex without making it pornoghraphic? As in making it obvious that the author isn't getting sexual kicks ot of these imaginary kids but also at the same time is telling a very sincere story?

Cause like for example I do not think that the Guy who wrote literally every Teen Movir Ever is a pedophile for portraying underage sex, Could theh have been less gross on the details? Sure but I don't belive they were getting a sexual kick out of writing those scenes

So my question is: what are the rules of writing this sort of thing?

The relative response to this question seems ro be that if you absolutely have to write underage sex it's better to imply than to show cause there's always a possibility that someone in your audience is a pedophile getting a kick out of it.

But you could say that about pretty much anything. If you make a movie and have a shot of someone taking out his shoe and reveling his bare feet. Then statistically someone is going fo be turned on by that. Like how responsible is the author for that sort of thing?? I mean do you blame the director of Joker for men misinterpreting the point and going to commit more social depravities? Isn't the problem more complicated that just pointing at an artist and saying "yo this is on you"

Like for example, if an artist has a vision of two underage people having a really awkward first time. Like it happens in most coming of age films where the dude has am awkward boner, the girl gets her bra stuck and other common first time tropes. And then when it's about to get risqué they just cut to the next scene. Is that so terrible? Cause it technically didn't happened completely offscreen. It's like half and half implied...

What I'm trying to say it's that there's a difference between eroticism and outright pornoghraphic material. Porno is speficially made to turn you on cause is unrealistic but making two normal people engage in a realistic way (with the awkward laughs, the realistic pain and all the embarrassing stuff) is not going to sit people's butts in the theater. You gotta remember that pedophiles are people too. And like any person they prefer fantasy to reality. So i highly doubt they would get off at an actual realistic sex scene

I think that if, to give a familiar example, someone made a fic of like an older teen Damian having his first time with a age appropriate sexual partner. I wouldn't inmedietaly call out the person who wrote it. Obviously this is the internet and it's full of pedophiles but I choose to first see the good side of people and not inmeditely write them off as monsters. Who knows maybe the hispothteicall story they wrote even has a lesson of some kind

I just saw a post saying 'we just have to let the staff know we're unhappy about the updates and we'll be fine' all non-chalant and honestly, I wished we lived in a world op lives i . Tumblr is barely functioning even now for the purposes it claims to function (blogging moreso than social media). I mean I like this dump, I've made it my own, but they are serious about increasing revenue - the ads, the blazes, the lives, the unblockable emporium and art accounts. It's a company like any other. Come on. Under capitalism corporation has no reason to listen to the users if not doing so increases income, and tumblr is a corporation, however small and poorly planned that corporation is and however cosy we feel here. They're here to make money, from us, not to provide five star experience. Theh will not listen. They have not listened about stuff that threatened people's lives, like nazi blogs, terfs, absolutely vile bigots, death threats. They have not listened on live, on dashboard preferences for new accounts, sex workers, fucking search function. They gave you polls and you think someone there is listening and vibing with the working class? Yes it might suck less than other right now, but tumblr is sure lubing up its throat to reach tbe deepthroating level of sucking.

Consider forums. Learn basic website building. Get emails (not dicsords, that place is also losing any little appeal it might have had) of your mutuals so that once this all will come tumbling down (pun intended and yes it will) so that you stay in touch.

You've got to stop being reliant on poorly run websites to keep you connected. Emails and phone numbers are more useful. Don't lose touch with a person you have no other way of contacting other than tumblr / discord / twitter / reddit. Get at email. Get a phone number if you're comfortable and have enough trust.

Once all of the sites become unusable, yes, you will have to put your shitposts and memed into a letter and make a mailing list if needed, and that might be ridiculous until you feel lonely and the only person you want to talk to is the mutual shitposter and then you send and email and can get an answer and stay in touch.

Yes gmail is a horrible google product, yes look for alternatives, but emails are not going under as soon as social media. And fucking write them down in a notebook in case the situation is so destitute you are locked out of your accounts or even lose reliable access to internet at home.

Emails and address books are your friends.

Also, consider starting forums for your fandoms and discussion topics and roleplays. Yes it's nore finicky and you need accounts for those but tech companies got us where we are today by being so darn convenient we forgot how to live a life without them. Take charge of keeping up your online communities without relying on predatory bloated companies.

Realizing that the internet is supposed to be a FUN experience helps me when dealing with negativity. I’m not overreacting or “censoring” people by deleting hateful or rude comments. I’m making my internet experience a good one.

End of the week special edition

Tl/Dr: This week was certainly supernatural

And here is a recap of everything that I'm aware of

7th - 13th of November

Quick recap of the week has to be started by mentioning what happened last weekend as events of the first half of the week were direct result of those actions. On 5th of November (maybe date was coincidental, or may be that theh predicted bigger interest on that particular day) Misha posted announcement that main cast will make fundraising event via Internet, to gather money for Stacey Abrams' organisation (fighting against voter suppression). Around the same time tumblr's 2020 year in review was published, with destiel in its own category.

This week has started with people thinking what will happen, with supernatural briefly trending on tublr, because of people, and which submitted questions have any chance of being answered. Many speculated - are they gonna say something interesting, is destiel gonna be canon or uncanon? And at sunday/monday twitter showdown took place, that resulted in publication of Misha's nude picture - and that only fueled the anticipation.

On Monday Misha told that there will be spn trivia, bloopers and outtakes from season 15. The post was not something special, but was commented by Jensen Ackles, breaking his social media silence. Because of the lack of content fandom started interpreting the post on manny ways - while saying "There will be an open bar, right" - is he talking about the finale, or he can't even talk about finale without drinking, or will he be drunk and unfiltered? From that point on anticipation only rose, and two separate tags were trending on tumblr, as well as on twitter.

Tension rose higher and higher as the hour of the event was approaching. Misha commented on Sun-Maid raisin tweet, then Sun-Maid social media person started to answer some Hellers (and people thought that Sun-Maid were also a Heller). Then things got even wilder, as Misha posted on instagram about asking Jensen about his weird acting choices, and about answering on fans prying questions. People were posting relantlessly on tumblr and pushing spn way up high on trending list. That kind of traffic caused temporary local insenity, as someone posted "correct me if I'm wrong, but Misha said something about having secret tumblr account" and manny people ran with it, asking random accounts if they are Misha Collins - kind of smaller, reversed Mishapocalypse.

Then livestrema started - people were rather disappointed as event was rather uneventful and anticlimactic. There was many more people from the cast as expected Kripke, Collins, Ackles and Padalecki. Half of the time was spent on talking about politics with Stacey Abrams, which still was unexpected for few people. After that there were 3 spn trivia questions to the cast and to the fans. They talked about Herpexia, and how Jared gave Seb Roché very weird massage on the airport. Misha said as a joke that the fandom does not care about voters supressio, only about their answers, which is indeed true Activity of the fandom proves that they want answers. Cast did not discuss finale, did not answer any questions. 5 minutes of bloopers were played.

After that people were almost ready to move on, there rumours that someone who won one-on-one zoom convo with Jensen asked him if Dean is bi, and man allegedly said that yes, and bottom to boot. Didn't find source of that rumour. People were stating that in bloopers Jensen was making joke about bottoming. Many that still steyed shipping were inching closer to casually shipping Jenmish. Consensus was made that The Episode That Must Not Be Named simply did not happen. Heller Obama became Ex-Heller Obama by unfollowing twitter destiel stan

Thursday was uneventful, from perspective it was kind of calm before the storm. In evening hours Misha tweeted about Castiel Project on give.trevorproject.org praising fans for selflessness. There was 1000 dollars anonymous donations, and people were very sure that it was Misha who donated. In the morning of next day it turned out that it was very selfless (and probably wonderful person) moved by this act of good will. Stacey Abrams watched finale and praised it

On Friday stuff just... Kept happening. It started with Taylor Swift dropping surprise album "Evermore" that many fans interpreted as describing Dean's and Cas' relationship - Destiel posts were climbing to top positions in T Swift tag. Parallels were seen everywhere. Things got even more unhinged as the day passed. Scripts of confession scene of 15x18 were leaked. It was hard to determine authenticity of script. They were proven to be authentic and stolen by Adam Williams, spn's VFX coordinator.

Script didn't reveal any new revolutionary information. But it included cas' POV - "Still beautiful, still Dean Winchester" which hinted on Cas finding Dean also physically attractive. It included "pulls Dean close" as well, which again trigeret speculations if something was taken out, and general anger at big three: queercoding, queerbaiting and "kill your gays trope. Destiel was proclaimed canon for the 3rd time. Spn was trending yet again stopping at 4th place.

Adam Williams went on a twitter spree for more than 10 hours, making very gay-homophobic statements. He claimed among others that Dean is not bi, but Destiel is canon, but not in sexual way, but if Dean woul be bi, he would be a top BECAUSE he is an alpha, and that labels are unnecessary but Dean is streight. Whole cast and cw stayed silent about scripts and Williams' statements (it is worth remembering that he had no influence on a plot, so his statements regarding plot, no matter if stating that destiel is canon or saying that Dean is streight - are as valid as any other headcanon presented on tumblr)

In the meantime Jared published posts praising the finale

As soon as excitement and rage died down and supernatural stopped trending new informations came up. On Saturday evening a Facebook panel with LatAm voice actors took place. (As I do not speak Spanish I'm going to include 3rd and 4th hand information here). It is stated that LatAm dub director thought that Cas and Dean are clearly in love, thought that included in translated script (basically) "I too" was too vague for that relationship and hanged it. There is no consensus on if tape that they got had any other English audio (at least I did not find anything that I can trust 100% yet) so it is best to assume that they've got the version that we've seen. Whole crew just went on with it, thinking that it all makes sense. As they (especial the director) were on board with that version destiel was again proclaimed canon. As I was finishing writing that there were attempts to contact the director, and spn was still trending. People are hating on Misha "for lying" which they should not do, given that only him was ready to listen to them

The End has no End

Fandom, as well as the show just won't die, which is in of itself very supernatural of us

They probably never will be done, and there will never be peace

If there'll be new updates I'm gonna keep the tabs

Another thing id like to say to roommate anon, you mentioned how even queer girls can have strong friendships with other queer girls, and i wanted to say that as a bi girl, i have plenty of friends i would love to hook up with of both genders, and i have also a lot of friends who i would never ever feel attracted to, no matter how good looking i think they are or how close to them i am (like a few i would maybe hook up with if theh wanted to bc im very try everything once type of person but i wouldnt make a thing of it and it would probably be more for them than for me), and if i ever ended up in a similar situation to yours with any of my friends male or female i definitely would think im into them, and tbh i very much doubt it would be with any of my friends that i put in the second category. So like idk i think you should think about your feelings for your friend in terms of how you actually feel about her, and not in terms of wjat sexuality you identify as, because ultimately thats all it is ppl youre into or people youre not. Tbh the reality of human experiences are far more complex than labels make them out to be (im currently dealing with a friend who apparently made out with her gay vest friend and then he said he was in love with her but also then started talking abt his bf?? So like thats a whole other situation) so its possible the truth of your sexuality isnt hoing to fit a specific label and thats ok, and you can totally pick whatever label you feel fits best even if its not 100%, but i think it would be a shame if you missed out on something potentially great with your roommate just because you're hanging onto a label, especially one that, while it may fit your general life experience, doesnt seem like it fits the situation youre in now, and since its a situation you like, maybe you should think about potentially changing or being less strict with that label

I was wondering for awhile if it would be ok to upload a video that’s just directly an anime episode of Ashita no Joe.

I thought partly, maybe it would be ok, since that anime came out like before 1970 or something so maybe it’s free domain,

but family isn’t what matters, everyone has family,

what matters is that you all still have a poor reputation because you have no friends which I think is 100% ok but the stuck-up lady who hates Joe for some reason atm just cares about how they’re rich in [deleted snarky remarks] reputation.

stop caring about the dislikes and haters and appreciate the supporters that you do have;;.
