#Glamour #nostalgia and #sensuality are the key words for my new body of work. It all started when two summers back, I read ‘Je t’aime’ , #VéroniqueMortaigne ‘s #book on the #lovestory of #JaneBirkin and #SergeGainsbourg . Apparently, he feared that #AlainDelon will steal his beautiful while filming together #LaPiscine in South France and he decided to follow her, causing scenes of #jealousy on the stage set on a daily basis. All this intrigued me to watch the 1969 #film and I was taken aback by the #enigma the #elegance and the psychological twists of #femininepower underlying in the movie. The above #painting is just an homage to La Piscine and also an image that makes my heart beat faster. Alain Delon Enfant de divorcé, Delon se retrouve tout petit en nourrice chez une femme dont le mari est gardien de prison à Fresnes. Il voit peu sa mère, suit une scolarité agitée et à 17 ans embarque dans la marine pour l'Indochine. De retour en France, il passe deux années dans les endroits mal famés de Toulon et exerce toutes sortes de métiers plus ou moins crapuleux. Monté à Paris, il s'éprend de la meneuse de revue Rita Cadillac, vit de ses charmes et rencontre sur sa route plusieurs femmes qui lui ouvrent la porte de son destin : le cinéma ! C'est au cours de son premier film "Sois belle et tais-toi "de Marc Allégret, qu'il se fait cette fameuse cicatrice sous le menton, au volant de la R4 qu'il a emprunté à Pascal Jardin. Son magnétisme, son charisme et son ambition le propulse dans les plus beaux rôles de sa génération. Clément, Visconti, Melville, Deray...les plus grands réalisateurs travaillent avec lui et font parfois office de père de substitution. En 1974, il produit et joue dans Borsalino. Ça tombe bien Il porte le costume 3 pièces comme personne ! La création des costumes est confiée à Jacques Fonteray : rayures tennis, larges revers, gilet cintré et bien sur le Borsalino, restent gravés dans les pupilles de tous ceux qui ont vu ce film. C'est le styliste italien Giuseppe Borsalino qui invente en 1857, le Borsalino, chapeau à bord long et mou, légèrement recourbé à l’arrière et dont le sommet de la calotte est creux.
