why are you unsatisfied i'm genuinely curious

okay actually enough time has passed. like i didn’t really wanna say anything i get everyone is happy so i don’t want to bring in negativity nor certain people in my ask box but actually i don’t care everyone can call me whatever they want it's all just buzzwords to me at this point anyway.

i wish i was happy because i know looking at it from the bigger picture this is a win but i’m so annoyed on how it played out. like of all the characters why did they have to bring back converted racist misogynist lmao and do this with almost no built up. they could have literally introduced someone new and it wouldn’t make any difference.

i just can’t get over buck saying he was trying to impress tommy because girl when? you mean when you were doing whatever you were doing in front of eddie for the whole episode? why were you upset over chris talking about tommy like that then? logistically from the writing perspective weird sentence to include when that didn’t happen at all. like tim clearly knows his fanbase and that's why the whole episode was more of a buddie bait and it was intentionally framed to look like it was going to go in that direction finally but at the end they decided to subvert expectation by partially giving everyone what they want except it made no fucking sense when they made it seem like something else. and i also don't see how tommy likes buck now after whole episode of him not giving a shit about him but alright.

atp i really do believe they'll do canon buddie like what are they gonna call us crazy for believing that now lmao. but i didn't want buck arc to go like this especially not with this rando who they brought back for 3 episodes as a plot device. i can think of at least 10 better ways to write this with more care and not just “hey guess what actually” at the end. also eddie once again being used for buck’s development something something but that is a rant for separate post.

and the thing is i saw the leaks for this episode and i went no way in hell is this happening it’s so out of the blue it’s so wattpad. not the bi thing but buck and tommy. and then it actually happened. and i saw next weeks leak too and i know i’ll be pissed but heard they changed that so who knows <3 i just don't like when writers and showrunners do this will they won't they HA we gotcha now thing.

This has been sittting in my drafts forever so id figured id post it finally. theres no other part i was just motivated by the mercer attack scene (Nirelle is my high elf character)

Nirelle couldn't do anything except watch as Mercer pulled back his arm and snapped it forward. It landed perfectly between the edges of her armor, slicing through her winter underclothes with a practiced ease. The blade effortlessly slid between her ribs and into her chest. A fiery pain like no other tore through her, ravaging through her entire body. She tried to scream but the poisoned arrow wouldn't let her, only a soft gasp of air escaping as her chest heaved with the weight of the blade. She tried in vain to lash out, to thrash, to roll herself away from the monster of a man standing above her.

She couldn't even blink.

All at once, the fire smothered out, leaving her sapped of energy. Her body felt vacant, empty, and detached from her mind. She could just barely make out the soft red glow emanating from Mercer's blade as he wrenched it from her. She watched in horror as the small scratch on his face healed.

So that's what the enchantment was.

She didn't feel anything after that. Maybe that was for the best. Her vision began to blur, shapes and colors blending together. The last thing she could make out was the triumphant grin on Mercer's face, and the old bones of Gallus. She felt a sort of morbid kinship with the skeleton in the snow. Both of them cold, hollow, and unmoving. Left to die by a man they once trusted.

just realized i threw off my nightly schedule last night and i am so hm :| about it but like!

As someone who never understood the hype around Take Me To Church and keeps forgetting that song even exists, can I ask the fans what exactly it is you like about that song? Because my current hypothesis is that yall were around 14 when it came out and music just hits different when you're 14. What else is there to like, genuinely

I try to stay unbiased here but Hozier is one of the only musicians I allow myself to be pretentious about, so before i info dump about why i love take me to church here's some other hozier songs you should give a shot:

francesca [i'd go through hell again just to hold you one more time], nina cried power [song about activism and black activists], swan upon leda [about the violence of colonialism, misogyny, and religious bigotry], eat your young [about the violence of war, capitalism, and generational trauma], movement, to noise making (sing), shrike, NFWMB [sexy], sunlight

anyway take me to church is so much more than just “loving you is like church”. he starts off by telling us how happy his lover makes him, despite constantly being told by The Church he was born sick and his happiness is a result of sinful behavior. he rejects the religion being forced on him, because unlike christianity, his church doesn't force him to accept absolution to reach heaven ("my church offers no absolutes / she tells me, 'worship in the bedroom' / the only heaven I'll be sent to / is when i'm alone with you"). the last two lines of the first verse-- "i was born sick, but i love it / command me to be well"-- questions why a god would create us to be inherently sick only to punish us for being sick.

i see the the chorus as a smart-ass comparison of his relationship to christianity. The Church expects him to blindly worship their lies and confess his sins, which he knows will be used against him ("take me to church / i'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies / i'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife"), but he's supposed to accept this and devote his life to God so he can get to heaven ("offer me that deathless death / oh good god, let me give you my life"). by offering to do this for his lover, he's equating their love to religion.

in the second verse, he reiterates that he worships his lover with a metaphor ("if i'm a pagan of the good times / my lover's the sunlight"). the subtle remark of referring to the ancient practice of paganism as "the good times" comments on the colonization and forced conversion of ireland by christian england, which criminalized paganism. immediately after stating how his lover demands a sacrifice, he hungrily eyes the high horse The Church sits on, and questions what power they have over him and his people ("that's a fine lookin' high horse / what you got in the stable? / we've a lot of starving faithful"). this could also be a reference to the irish potato famine, which was not a result of drought, but of english lords forcing the irish to turn over their entire crop to send to england.

then we get the most poetic description of sex i've ever heard: "no masters or kings when the ritual begins / there is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin / in the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene / only then, i am human / only then, i am clean". fuck man

a lot of gay people with religious trauma love this song bc of everything i described above. also, it's a fuckin banger.

Astrology Observations 2

Please only take what resonates with you. These are my personal observations. So take with a grain of salt 💕

Having a mix of prominent Scorpio and Gemini placements can make them a beacon for other peoples secrets. People will be compelled to tell them TMI a lot for some reason. But are usually tight lip about their own secrets and things about themselves. Some natives may use this to their advantage. 👀

I feel like the planetary ruler of your 7th house is something you might feel like you lack, and wish you had better / more of.

For example, my 7th house is in Gemini, and Mercury rules Gemini. And with other people, I feel like my sociable/conversation skills aren't on par with my peers. Like I'm too rigid or stale with words and how I communicate.

Any planets in your 3rd house in someone elses 1st house can make their voice sound hypnotic to you.

If someone has multiple planets (especially personal ones) in your 1st house, you could be OBSESSED with them. Like, these people can unravel your sense of self and make you discover different parts of your personality and identity.

Same can be said for people with many planets in your 12th house. But it could be a obsessed / hate relationship. You might be highly envious of these people and hate them for it.

You might feel more competitive and/or always trying to prove something around them.

7th house Mars people can be some of the best hype men I swear💪💪

A Child-Like Halloween 🎃

AN: Dominik, you, and a baby girl celebrating Halloween. I need to write longer things, am i disappointing yall? Anyway enjoy.

"Ah! Babe don't!", you smack the top of Dominik's hand. His hand goes shooting backward and away from the cookie dough, his face offended as he looks to the toddler being carried on his chest in disbelief. His mouth is dropped open and he speaks to her in a hushed whisper, pointing at you: "Princess did you see that?!". She glances over at you then back to Dominik, her face wide with a sly smile, "Nooo", she says one of the few words she knows. Dominik is dumbfounded again but not surprised his daughter is a mommy's girl, Dominik kisses the side of her head and sits her down on the floor. "You go ahead baby I'm right behind you", Dominik says to her, he gets no answer other than the running stomps of her running to the living room with a cute excited scream.

Dominik watches her toddle away making sure she makes it into the living room that is only a few feet from the kitchen in the first place. His attention is on you again and your cute mess, flour on your face, and chocolate chips scattered all over the countertop. You don't look up from the cookies on the baking sheet, balls of dough are rolled up and ready to be cooked. Dominik sneakily reaches his hand in front of you, his hand hovering over the raw cookie dough; you smack his hand playfully again, huffing with your mouth open in disbelief that he would try again. You pull the tray off the table and shove them into the oven, "No more", you declare pointing an accusing finger at him.

Dominik sticks his hands up in surrender but his mouth is full and he's chewing. You laugh at his success, shoving him out of the kitchen alone with yourself. You slip in front of Dominik, walking towards your daughter and Dominik wraps his arms around your waist from behind. Bodies pressed together and walking together, his chin on your shoulder and his lips pressing a chaste kiss on your cheek. Your daughter jumps up at the sounds of your footsteps, her smile radiant and her excitement through the roof.

She jumps in place and runs to sit in the middle of the couch, jumping and landing on it; kicking her feet waiting for the night to begin. The rest of the snacks are on the coffee table in front of the couch, an assortment of all the best Halloween snacks for the family to enjoy, including your endorphin-filled daughter and husband with a sweet tooth. Dominik moves to sit beside her, an arm wrapped around his daughter but his eyes are fondly watching you stand in the middle of the living room with two films in your hand. "Okay okay big choice guys, Nightmare before Christmas or Spongebob Halloween!", you say the next option with more enthusiasm knowing it was her and Dominik's favorite. Dominik grins as his daughter in jumping in her seat so ready to sit and watch the movie, "Spong Bob! Spong Bob!", she yells out, her eyes shiting between you and Dominik for support on her easy decision.

Dominik yells out excitedly too, seeing how his daughter wanted someone to be just as hyped as her. "Spongebob it is baby girl", he shakes her lightly and pulls her close, her cute giggles filling both your hearts. You already put the CVD in and you slide next to your daughter, Dominik holds his daughter closely and puts his arm over the couch to reach you, his fingers twirling your hair in his hands. The small family sits together, the smell of pumpkin spice candles and chocolate chip cookies filling the room but the comfort of home was much more prominent. Halloween was one of the many days Dominik looked forward to, but that's every day with his girls that makes it so much better.

-Fighing Ares

-PROCRUSTES im telling yall he is UNDERRATED

-Tiny middle schooler Percy Jackson being generally violent and a nuisance

-MR. D and the PERFECT casting for rgat role. Absolutely magnificent.

-Also watching tiny middle schooler Percy Jackson get stung by a pit scorpion and nearly die. Like we forget how close he came to literally dying in just the first book.

-Seeing the Hermes cabin and getting a general look at how much the conditions there suck

-Luke being a mentor/big brother to Percy, short-lived as it may be (just let me have this :'))

-RIPTIDEEEEE

-Perseus Jackson and his brilliant acting skills ("I know my stepfather Gabe misses me so much, anyways he's giving out free appliances")

-we'RE LOST IN THE WOODS SOMEWHERE IN NEW JERSEY AND WE'RE NEVER GONNA MAKE IT TO LA

-Kind of hype to see how they reimagine the Medusa scene from how it was done in the movie. I know the movie was still nothing like the book but I'm still excited to see how they distinguish it.

-obviously i'm just generally hype to see day-to-day life at CHB. Like just the dining pavilion and campfires and dryads and satyrs and capture the flag. It's gonna be GREAT.
