For this year's Global Game Jam, I decided "Hey why don't I solo dev an entire visual novel in Renpy with absolutely 0 prior knowledge in coding?"

And so I did! Presenting A Pound of Flesh (part 1), a short vn where you play as Agatha, a girl who begins working at a quaint butcher shop.

It's around 20 mins play time, and if there's interest I'll most likely add on more sections as well! Right now you can only play up to the end of week 1 because I only had 36-ish hours to code and draw the entire thing. Let me know what you guys think if you play it!

The Mothership RPG has spawned a surprising side delight in their series of embroidered mission patches. This is the first that accompanied the release of A Pound of Flesh. I kind of wish I wore a jumpsuit, because this would look mighty fine on the sleeve.

i'm finally looking at running Mothership's excellent module/setting A Pound of Flesh after my Songs for the Dusk campaign wraps, and the excitement got to me today - here's six pregen backstories suitable for almost any of Mothership's classes, meant to hook new PCs into the factions and power players of Prospero's Dream!

The original Mothership zine was the rules, Dead Planet was the adventure that showed how it worked while pretty much killing off all the players. A Pound of Flesh (2019) shows us how to play Mothership in an ongoing campaign by providing a space station hub to explore, use as a base of operations and, eventually, die screaming in once everything falls apart.

The station is called Prospero’s Dream (there are all sorts of soft Shakespeare references throughout, and also a random table of docked ships all named after Behemoth songs). At its most basic, it isn’t really a pleasant place — there slums full of mutants, mercs, sketchy surgeons, seedy nightlife. Money flows back and forth between power brokers. There are plenty of seeds here for adventures off-station, and in this, the Dream functions as sort of a deep space version of Planescape’s Sigil. Over time, though, as players get to know the place, it becomes clear that (like Sigil) it is a pressure cooker rigged to blow.

There are multiple potential bombs. The GM can opt to set them all off. I won’t spoil them, but know that there is amazing potential for mayhem here.

That’s not all, though. There are supplemental rules for cybernetics and custom grown clones, as well as extremely cool modular rules for creating your own space stations, complete with exhaustive random tables. The graphic design is as overstuffed as you’d expect, this time with pink as the main color. What’s not to love?

Another one of my Iterator ocs, and is the eldest sibling of Eden's Paradise. APOF is fucked up, both because of Rot and some mental stuff. She's pretty much evil for the sake of being evil. Not much is known about her, other than she is malicious and WILL go out of her way to harm any Iterator who comes across her. Even her own siblings weren't safe.

Also did I mention she's got some sort of pseudo-cult? Anyways, just avoid contact with her in any possible way.
