E7: “Dad Beat Dad” Charlie’s Mommy issues and lesser daddy issues. Alastor threatens Husk.Aalstor meets Mimzy and protects the hotel, After flashbacks with Alastor and Mimzy as humans, Mimzy leaves tearfully after Alastor decides to devote his loyalty to the hotel due to being under contract with Lilith. (There is hope that Cherri and Mimzy can come back and redeem…or will they want to?)Lucifer enters the hotel, Lucifer vs Alastor song battle, Lucifer explains to Charlie the story of his banishment and Charlie has a childhood flashback. Lucifer apologizes for not being around more for Charlie, he had been so engrossed in his projects and wanting to do things his own way in Hell. He warns Charlie that talking to the angels would be hard, also apologizing for not coming with her to see Adam, as he did not want to confront the man who tried to dominate his wife and had them both banished.
E8:“Moth to the Hell Flame”Vaggie Exorcist backstory, Emily and Charlie bonding, Lute jealous of Vaggie being favored by Adam, wanted to be called “Pussy” by him
E9: “Cherri Bomb’s Away!” Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb and the gang go out on the town.
E10: “Welcome to Heaven” Charlie and Vaggie enter Heaven… (extended scenes with Molly), Charlie and Vaggie pled their case to the council of Sir Pentious instead of Angel. Due to Sera being under orders from a higher power not to reveal how Sinners can get into Heaven or about the full brutality of the Exorcists – it wants to keep heaven oblivious, it sees through Sera’s own eyes, Sera has no choice to but to let Adam win. Sera and Emily extended talk, Emily wants to help Charlie and tells Sera that she is not just a little sister anymore. Adam reveals that Vaggie was a former Exorcist in her past (past life?) shocking Charlie and claiming he’ll unleash his attack on the hotel in one month.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, i have many brewing ideas for Hazbin Hotel which I'm excited to see your spin on! (I don't want to spam you so this will be my last request for a while lol)
For the overlords and happy hotel gang (if that's too many people, I'm sorry):
How about a male overlord reader who died by being struck by lightning? Their powers are heavily influenced by this, like being able to control electricity, summoning lightening and storms etc. Maybe their as strong as alastor.

I'm just going to cover the hotel gang in this one, I want to focus more on plot than character numbers. Quality over quantity! I may make a part two to this including the other Overlords if this gets enough attention. I know the request is for a male reader but I chose to work with gender neutral for this, the story flowed better that way, I hope it's no issue!
Under the cut for length and trigger warnings, this will be tagged.
TW: Mentions of death, brief mention of alcohol, violence involving electricity
Alastor
- He would initially be drawn in by a sinner demon who has such powerful control of lightning. Not many sinners have such power.
- Initially he would be interested in using that power for his own benefit. But to do that, he needs to befriend this sinner.
- He would start easy, like a nice dinner, followed by an activity of their choice, and finally request they display their power.
- Alastor would be in shock (pun intended) when they were able to produce an entire storm system by themselves. He felt...Intimidated, for once. He had to see how their ability would affect him.
- Sucks, however, that radios can be cut off by electricity. Alastor is fast and can shift into a shadow, but lightning moves at the speed of light. He found himself having a good time, despite being beaten for once.
- He genuinely respects anyone who can kick his ass. Special points for a unique attribute.
- With respect comes trust, and upon learning of how this sinner died and how they obtained this power, he understands how they feel on a personal level. He chose to be the feared Radio Demon, they didn't choose to have a power directly attributed to their death. He would encourage them to rise to Overlord status but doesn't require it from them.
Angel Dust
- Let's be honest, he doesn't keep up with Hell's politics. He isn't interested in what's going on with new sinners or what's on today's episode of 666 News. However, something special catches his eye that day.
- A newly arrived sinner who can control electricity. On a complete power high, repeatedly zapping Vox at the feet and cackling. He wasn't missing out on this.
- Angel knows he doesn't stand a chance against Vox alone but perhaps this electricity wielding he runs a chance of winning for once. This was no war for territory but he needed a little action.
- He'd join the fight, not expecting to see anything new. This new sinner aimed a lightning jolt directly to Vox's head, who proceeded to glitch out in a hysterical mess. Angel already liked this one.
- Upon learning about how their death is correlated to their power he promises to keep their secret and will never request they use that power for his benefit...But he's already asking them to target Valentino next. He thinks they could certainly take his position as Overlord and direct that power somewhere else and openly suggests it to them, but doesn't force them into it.
Husk
- Husk, having been a bit of a magic man himself in life, initially thinks this is some party trick and tries to prove it. He makes an absolute fool of himself trying to prove this sinner wrong and each time he gets fuzzier.
- Eventually he gives up and offers to buy them a few drinks to make up for his accusations. Regardless of if they get anything alcoholic or not, he'll get a little tipsy and ask about them. He's the most direct on learning about them.
- At first he only receives a vague response, which he understands. He plans another excursion; he can pull off some magic tricks and they can use their electric power to draw in a crowd.
- This goes off without a hitch many times and Husk is greatly pleased; with their little shows they easily make enough to cover the tab for their drinks. He'll get a little cocky and challenge them to a Poker game, which he wins, so he has something of his own.
- One night, after a successful show, they'll finally confide in him on how they died and how it correlates to their power. He doesn't understand it exactly, but he appreciates their trust and promises to keep it a secret. Though he does wish they would kick Alastor's ass and knock him off Overlord status so his soul could be freed again.
- He'd sell his soul to his new friend immediately after.
Vaggie
- Vaggie was only out putting up flyers for the hotel, when she overheard some applause, followed by sparks of bright light. Stapling the last page to a lamp post she came closer to inspect.
- It was a new sinner, flaunting their power. Vaggie personally finds it annoying and demands they stop, and they refuse, claiming they shouldn't have to stop for her sake.
- This is when she gets Charlie involved who, without much effort, can bring the sinner down to their place again.
- They're quick to apologize for getting so uppity with Vaggie, they don't know how Hell's society works. Vaggie knows how to make them pay for it.
- She has them do a month's free-lance of controlling electricity in the hotel for their little show. She doesn't allow other sinners (or Alastor, for that matter) to ask about them or how they obtained their power, all she wants is for them to be more responsible.
- During their free-lance they'll have a short talk with her, where they admit they're so cocky because they're a little upset about their ability. They died because of lightning, and now they're cursed with it as a power. They don't know where to go from here and they feel alone.
- Vaggie can't relate too much but she appreciates their honesty and accepts their apology, promising to help them hone their power and help them come to terms with their death and use their power for better causes than making a show.
Charlie
- She met them the way she met many sinners - they arrived at the hotel, asking about a room. She's happy to fill out their paperwork and get them into a room, but before she can do that she needs to know if they have any ability that could risk harm to others.
- So they fess up to their electricity ability, making a statement that they can control it at will and won't use it to harm others. She's willing to take their word on it and gets them registered for the right programs and gives them their room key.
- For a while, the two didn't interact very often. There was an occasional chat during a group she ran that they participated in, and she'd sometimes give them a survey about resident satisfaction, but that was about it.
- One night, during a very heated group Charlie was running one sinner accused them of something horrid, claiming their electricity power was a curse because they harmed others using electricity in life.
- Usually they're very calm, but after such an accusation they lose their temper and shoot off a strike of lightning, narrowly missing the accusing sinner and striking the wall instead. Charlie immediately calls off the group and pulls them to the side. They expect to be kicked out.
- Instead, Charlie asks why they acted out. They were always so calm and even tempered, what about that claim made them do that? They admitted to her that their death was an accident; they were struck by lightning and they were stuck with it forever. Charlie understands that they're traumatized by this and agrees to keep them separate from the accusing sinner and place them in a group for death-related trauma, of which is run by Vaggie.
- The sinner who made such an accusation, however, didn't get off so lucky. According to many complaints the sinner repeatedly accused others of terrible things and Charlie just couldn't have such behavior in her hotel, so she made them leave.

Hazbin Hotel Animation Ideas (Will Update Whenever I Think Of A New One)
1: A Vox animation including the song "Lady" by Kenny Rogers. It would show Vox realizing he has fallen in love with Abrion (My Overlord of Butterflies OC) but due to being currently trapped in his relationship with Valentino, he can't say anything about his new feelings.
2: An Abrion animation including the song "Rapture" by Blondie. It would show Abrion's first night singing at Club 666 and would also be a good way to show how she ended up in Hell, which is explained in my "Abrion Headcanons" post.
3: A Veronica (My Overlord of Electronic Dance Music OC) animation including the song "A Taste of the Flame" by Shawn Christmas. It would show Veronica doing one of her concerts, showcase how some of her powers work, and would be her "official" introduction to the Hazbin Hotel gang.
4: An Abrion animation including the song "It's My Turn" by Diana Ross. It would show Abrion's point of view after breaking up with Valentino and realizing she did not need him anymore. It would also be a good set up to how she managed to create Roseland Garden.
5: A Valentino animation including the song "I Don't Need You" by Kenny Rogers. It would show Valentino's point of view after breaking up with Abrion and realizing she would never take him back. It would also be a good set up to how he now behaves with Vox and possibly Angel Dust.
6: An Abrion animation including the song "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar. It would show Abrion doing one of her performances at Green Space and would be her "official" introduction to the Hazbin Hotel gang.
7: A Valium (One of my Sinner Demon OCs) animation with the song "Stray Cat Strut" by Stray Cats. It would show how mundane Valium's life has become and would also be a good way to show how he ended up in Hell, which is explained in my "Valium Headcanons" post.
8: A Vox and Abrion animation with the song "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" by Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson. This one would be a bit fluffier as this would be like a makeshift "prom" room due to Abrion never experiencing prom before and the two would just be dancing together.
9: A Cooper (My Overlord of Rock Music OC) animation with the song "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi. It would show Cooper doing one of his concerts, showcase how some of his powers work, and would be his "official" introduction to the Hazbin Hotel gang.
10: An Abrion animation with the song "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson. It would show a confrontation between Abrion and Valentino as she states how she doesn't need Valentino anymore and that he is not welcome in Roseland Garden.
11: A Lady Betlinde (My Sinner Demon OC who is Sir Pentious's twin sister) animation with the song "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence. It would show Betlinde at first playing on her harpsichord but would then it would transition to her just singing alone. Also, it would be a sort of "vague shippy" hint to her having a relationship with one of my other OCs that is like a "Romeo and Juliet" situation at the moment.
12: An Anargyros (My interpretation of the 2p Alastor character) animation with the song "Death" by Melanie Martinez. It would show that Anargyros actually didn't want to go to Heaven as he wanted to stay by his siblings for as long as possible, meaning he stayed as a ghost for a while. He constantly tried to talk to them, but they couldn't hear his voice at all, which led Anargyros to cry constantly. After some time, one of the Angels came down and managed to convince him that there wouldn't be a point staying on Earth in the state he was in. He asks for one last time to see his siblings. The Angel is at first confused but allows it. It would then end with Anargyros hugging both of his siblings and with a sad smile, he walks with the Angel to the stairway to Heaven.
13: A Cooper animation with the song "Home" by Natewantstobattle. It would show how Cooper ended up in Hell and what had happened to his deceased boyfriend.
14: An Anargyros and Adam animation with the song "Crybaby" by Melanie Martinez. It would show at first what Anargyros's new life in Heaven was like before transitioning to a court trial where Adam frames Anargyros for stealing a priceless treasure that was important to the Angels. Anargyros would try to tell the Judges that Adam is lying, but then begins to break down like always. This leads Adam to call Anargyros "The Crybaby Angel". The animation would end with Adam ordering the Exorcists to tear off Anargyros's wings and throw him down into Hell, with Anargyros still teary-eyed but now has a look of pure rage, an emotion that he has never felt before until now.
15: A Vox and Valentino animation with the song "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" by Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty. It would show how on and off their relationship actually is.
16: An Abrion animation with the song "Treat me Right" by Pat Benatar. It would be another performance at Green Space, but it would also be a bit from Vox's point of view as he shows his now growing crush on her.
17: A Vox animation with the song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" by Daryl Hall and John Oates. It would show Vox when he finally breaks up with Valentino and how he would cope with it afterward.
18: An Eliana (My Exorcist Angel OC) animation with the song "I'm Invincible" covered by Amalee. This would take place either before the events of Hazbin Hotel Pilot or during an Extermination happening during the main series.
19: A Veronica animation with the song "Bad Habits" by Ed Sheeran. It would show Veronica at her first ever performance, how she ended up in Hell, and when she first joined Valentino's group.
20: A Cherri Bomb animation with the song "Pop (Cherri's Assault)" by Paranoid DJ. It would be a more animated version of the small story that the song itself presented.
21: A Sir Pentious, Lady Betlinde, and Cherri Bomb animation with the song "My Machine (Sir Pentious's Strike)" by Paranoid DJ feat. Cycoriot. It would be a more animated version of the small story that the song itself presented and some of Sir Pentious's lines would go to Lady Betlinde.
22: A Vox animation with the song "Eyes on Me (Vox's Song)" by Paranoid DJ. It would be a more animated version of the small story that the song itself presented but would also have Veda (My Overlord of Video Games OC) and Vidalia (My Overlord of Fashion OC who is Vox's twin sister) but they wouldn't have any voice lines and be silent guardians for him.

He can easily get fooled, like as the worker drone would be on the floor but Project X couldn't find them which Project X will turn angry and loses patience at times.

Type of Villain: Sadistic Dark Murder Drone
Personality: Serial Designation 85 is a particularly ruthless and demented murder drone who will go to any length to claim as many worker drones as possible in order to integrate them into a game and make them as playmates for all eternity. Having existed since the beginning of time, all of his pent-up murderous sadism has been waiting billions of years to be unleashed on unsuspecting worker drones for his own amusement. He appears to have no remorse for his actions, dismissing the worker drones' victims' innocence and claiming that it won't get them far, confirming that he doesn't care about their age as long as he gets to torture and murder them.
He is extremely intelligent and manipulative, having duped worker drones into believing he was trustworthy in order to gain an advantage over the worker drones and eventually lead to their death. He's also astute enough to ensure that his victims have no way of retaliating against him, as evidenced by his removal of all powerups from World 1-1 and possibly the rest of the world, which may indicate a cowardly side to him if he's willing to remove anything from the vanilla world that can be used against him.
Despite his wicked nature, 85's general demeanor is that relaxed, calm, and collected Murder Drone that can genuinely be polite to people when he wants to be and can strike up genuine friendships with people, particularly those who share common interests with him, such as Project X, most likely due to inheriting some Mario's personality traits, particularly his friendly nature.

Ooh. I actually don't have any specific favorite authors. Some of the authors that come up a few times on my bookshelf however are Alan Bradley, Lauren Oliver, and Andy Weir.
Corn Chowder: Were any characters created/erased from the WIP?
In my three WIPs, I've definitely had to kill and create a few characters. I had to get rid of a couple from WTRL because the cast was too big. I actually added a couple of characters to H2H (Rowan and Remiel, although Rowan was a replacement for another character).
Beer Cheese Soup: A scene from your WIP that made you laugh
It's not necessarily the Funniest scene, but it's a scene that made me laugh to come up with and think about. Essentially, the gang from H2H goes to hell (for undisclosed but important reasons) and they make a pit stop at Seraph's apartment, where, surprise surprise, everyone starts making fun of them.
An excerpt from the scene under the cut:
“This is it,” They sigh, stepping aside to pull the gate open and put out a hand gesturing for us to get ourselves inside.
“Don’t mind if I do.” I smile, playfully knocking into Seraph as I walk in, followed by Thalia, Rowan, and Remiel. Seraph locks the gate behind them and makes their way to the front of the group, leading us up a stairwell, lit by flicker fluorescents and covered in the ugliest beige carpet straight out of the 80s. They stop at the end of the hallway, unlock the door and turn back.
“I hope you know that we can’t dawdle in here for long,” they said, “this is purely to make you all shut up about my apartment.”
“Oh come on,” Thalia says, nudging them with her shoulder, “open it up already.”
With a sigh, Seraph pulls the door open, giving us a good look at the apartment. It’s small, opening up into a living room with a simple black couch and old-fashioned CRT television set, but with a small remote by the side. The far wall opens up into a kitchen with a small dining area, and a hallway to the kitchen’s right leads to a couple of doors that I presume to be the bed and bath.
“Wipe your feet as you walk in.” Seraph sighs again as they hang their coat on a rack on the wall near the door. “or, better yet, take off your shoes.”
I look up at them, already in the process of taking off my boots. They raise their eyebrows at me and I can swear that underneath it all I can make out the hint of a smile.
“Impressive,” they say, “I expected worse from you.”
I scoff. “I was raised in a Chinese household, was I not?”
By the time I’ve unlaced everything and taken them off, Rowan’s already sitting on the couch, excitedly playing with the TV, flipping through the channels. Thalia accompanies them, sitting cross-legged on the floor and leaning against the couch as she stares at the strange lettering in the splash text of a news report, with one hand resting on her chin in concentration. Seraph looks like they’re about to start pulling out their own hair.
“Rowan,” they call as they rush over, “I-- what the hell?”
Rowan turns around, putting one arm over the back of the couch, and grins. “Oh come on. Do you expect me to not be curious about what’s on channel 666?”
“No, but I expected you to be more polite.” Seraph snatches the remote out of their hand and shuts the television off. Thalia shakes her head as she stands up.
“You’ve really got to show me some of this stuff you have down here,” she says, “I mean, I never imagined that demon culture would be so…”
“Normal?” I suggest.
Thalia smiles at me and I can feel blood rush to my cheeks. “Yeah. Normal.”
Seraph makes their way into the sparsely furnished kitchen and grabs a bottle of black liquid out of the fridge. A red label wraps around it, written in a strange language. They turn to us. “I would offer you some, but I don’t believe humans would be able to handle it.”
Thalia scoffs. “Yeah, right.”
“Be my guest.” Seraph waves their hand in resignation as they turn around and close the fridge door, walking into the hallway and rummaging around in a closet. After a few moments, they emerge with an old-looking camera and some sort of black device, covered in gears, and with a circular hole in the top and another, wider but flatter rectangular hole on the side. At the very top is a large flat square that’s a different color than the rest, glowing slightly red, rather than black. Lights blink across it, and Seraph hits their hand against its side a couple of times. They sigh, grab me by the shoulders, and position me against a wall.
“I suppose you’re going first,” they say as they pick up the camera and point it at me, “hold still.”
With a flash of light, they pull the camera down and open it up to pick out the film inside, still all rolled up, and place it in the circular hole in the box. Without a word, they grab my hand and place it on the flat glowing part. Something looks like it scans it, and with a cacophony of whirring and beeping, it finally spits out a small plastic bit about the size of a debit card. I catch it, albeit not too gracefully, and turn it over in my hands. It looks like a government-issued ID, with a picture of my face in the corner--not my real face, of course, but this funky little demon thing I’ve got going on--and a collection of what I assume to be information about me, all written in that demonic language. I show it to Thalia and mouth a few words of astonishment and she stares back at me, eyes wide as well.
Seraph just turns around as if this is the most normal thing in the world and looks at the rest of the group. “Alright, who’s next?”
The three others just stand there in shock, mouths agape just as wide as mine, until Thalia speaks up.
“Uh, why the hell do you have a fake ID maker in your closet?”

Here with Ely and using his phone again to do some multi-tasking coz I'm downloading movies on my mobile,good thing it connects now on their wifi.
I have windblow and still a windblow since 2007... I feel bitter and super angry and irritated...
Since we are not having cablewifi we are dwelling on that fuck Eagle 95.5 coz in a way I like thier style but still they are considered a FUCK! WHY???
I sent them message coz it is my freedom to do as one of their listener's and I wanted them to do a shoutout for me about my baby-Borgy that I wanted to have him. I was listening and the DJ's were not reading it even if I sent a copy of my message on their mobile number.
Peachy is a fuck having a same name as one of my artist name...What is she saying carry what??? Carry can be a positive or negative.... DJ's are just FUCK sometimes they think only of themselves that they are a better women in this world. No way for me!!!

I still feel bitterish and angry and just done watching that "Killer", a killer and I have the same problem these days...I have this "marital stress" nobody is taking me seriously from the past years,months and days. Remember recently someone just told me that I was "irrational" coz I figured out that I was not his type but those Red Horse, Gin Pomelo, Tanduay women... ( dreadlock guys/miles ) Just for take note: "Nothing more,Nothing less".
What can I do? I'm just a very sweetish "Tequila Rose"….He just told me that I was irrational or simply means insane or simply means " You are not my type"...

About the house on the side of the kitchen whew! House of my Uncle DD and Aunt Karen, the worker were working on the roof or roofing this whole day. Of course it is something beautiful coz brand new, no crowded stuff inside their house yet...
Someone just left a red backpack on the new created roof,it was funny coz I remember how important to have a backpack when you planned something with someone on the downhill ( just a back story,nothing more,nothing less).
Still, my family can't assist me on money for me to do some important things... Still, hating my biological mother and her gang for being selfish.
I still need to get my job and money and I still wanna buy Starbucks everyday... I'm not ohkay,I need money and job. I feel self-pity.

What’s the neighborhood like?

Awwww yeah! My chance to wax poetic about the Blue Light District again. This is thrilling, I love this. Also the fun benefit of having the ability to cross-reference my own hc. This gets longer than I expected so most is under the read more!
Right, so first part is just where is it? In my hc, Vox's domain is the part in blue of the following image. His portion of the Pentagram isn't tiny.
It's somewhere thereabouts to that gray dot that is his tower, and heart of the Empire. The Vogitek tower is the tallest building in the Blue Light District (BLD), and he lives on the topmost floor.
So what is it actually like? During the day, the BLD looks like most of Hell, with a few key exceptions. If most of the buildings in Hell are in some state of disrepair, with growing ears or eyes, or other mutations born of the amount of sin, then the BLD is comparatively free of that, because of how frequent construction is. In addition, while the city itself has a lot of skyscrapers, the BLD has the tallest, and the highest percentage of them. It towers above the rest of the city, and is kept in somewhat good maintenance.
Vox keeps an increasing number of architects and urban planners on his staff for that reason. A decent amount of the inspiration comes from Tokyo, where there is a limited amount of space, but a lot of people, so instead of building out, they build up. When there is a disruption in the normal flow of things, be that gang warfare or an Extermination, it tends to be the part of the city that is the quickest at recovering.
But at night...You know how New York is described as the city that never sleeps? Well down in Hell, that's only more true. The district as a whole is the most technologically advanced part of the whole city, and where new things tend to get introduced first, like the slow-going transit system. It's the part of the city Vox has the most direct control over, and where the bulk of his infrastructure and people are. It's a lot easier to do things when you and your company own everything in this whole corner of the city.
Because that's sort of the main thing, is Vox died, and decided he didn't much like the idea of suffering, so he's just done his best to recreate New York. A large part of why it's so distinctive, is that, unlike large portions of the city that have traded hands a dozen times over the last century, or somewhere that never has a permanent Overlord presence (or, Heaven-forbid, the Hellborn nobility who have never taken into account urban luxuries or population increases).
The inner reaches of the district are the most brightly lit after dark, and it's where it shines the most. There are people, music, lights. Most of the stores are open 24 hours, and it has all sorts of modern amenities, like a dozen different tech stores, convenience stores, some cafes, restaurants. The overarching colour is blue, but the closer you get to the middle, the more muddied it gets. the outer parts of the district are still well lit, but the blue is far more the staple colour. This part is more likely to have things like apartment buildings.
As for the tower itself, there is usually someone, aside from Vox there. It's the epicentre of his Empire, and while there are auxiliary studios, often for larger movies or the 666 News, the tower itself has countless meeting rooms, offices, smaller recording studios. There's places to eat, bathrooms. It is the thing that he is proudest of, and it all works efficiently. Some nights, when he can't sleep, he's liable to wander, and more than a few of his higher ranking employees are people he found working late. It's not uncommon that will be a large part of the workforce, especially if something had recently gone wrong, or if there is a big deadline coming up. A few of those and it had become worth it to invest in some space blankets and pillows, so people could sleep there, especially for people stuck over Extermination days.
An additional benefit of keeping everything largely contained, is it makes it much easier to shuffle things around if need be. If anything happens within a production, he can take over, or assign someone else, and with a limited period of adjustment, can get back on schedule, without having to travel half-way across the city, just up or down a few floors. For something like the big blockbuster movies that need more space, they don't tend to be in the tower, but anyone who deals with R&D can, musicians, smaller shoots, like gameshows or sitcoms, and the aformentioned non-show business people like lawyers and engineers can all be found.
From his penthouse, it's the streets upon streets of blue lights that he thinks of, always lit up even at the darkest, latest points of the day.
