Ok but superpower au where metaphysicality isn't Johnson's only power.
It's just the one he focuses on.
Johnson's low-key the strongest mutant/meta/super/whatever word you want to use, but he does NOTHING WITH IT.
He's like 625 from the lilo and stitch cartoon tv series. He has all these powers and abilities, could cause the WORST hell in the world, but he chooses...
"Sandwiches"(aka just vibing and helping Ngozi with the comic).
It'd be fucking hilarious, especially if like, only 1-3 person of each grad year on SMH actually had powers. He's the only one his year.
Shitty is the only one in his and Jack's year, though John's p sure Jack has one too. Shitty can make anyone trust him, but even Shitty doesn't know that's a literal power; everyone just thinks Shits is a casual (normal person)
Lardo has a power, Holster and Ransom don't, but John thinks they have low-key powers that aren't "powers" (stupid power classification laws). Lardo never tells him what hers is, and that's fine with John - the less he knows, the better.
Bitty, Ollie, AND Wicky all have powers, but they're definitely not "real" according to the super power classification laws - Bitty can alter time for a small bit, not long enough to be a Real Power, Ollie is a power amplifier, and Wicky is a speedster like the Flash from DC Comics, complete with wearing a power suppression necklace under his shirt (he still eats a lot, and the coaches actually made him not follow the diet plan because that's federal law: speedsters eat a lot, even on the suppressors, so Wicky just needs to eat, and John was kinda jealous).
Dex has a power, the other 2 frogs don't. Dex can fix literally anything mechanical. Maybe not technical, but electrical/mechanical? Yeah. Car, an oven, toaster, electric wiring, shit like that he can fix, even if it's DEAD, but that's a temp fix, you have to replace things eventually. It's cool. And handy.
Whiskey is definitely on the government's watch list, John just isn't sure what his power is.
Tango is also on the government's watchlist. His power is telepathy and telekinesis (like Jean Grey from the X-Men). He wears a power suppression bracer on his ankle for it, too, a thing John thinks is bullshit, and it's no wonder Tango asks all these questions, between the autism and his suppressed power, poor kid is confused.
Foxtrot's power is a lot like Black Canary's from DC Comics.
Louis can manipulate sound vibrations, it's part of why he's obsessed with music. Pretty strong, John's a bit surprised he was let into America.
Bully has no power.
Hops has a mundane one that has the potential to be insanely powerful. He can manipulate things if he focuses hard enough, but it's not strong enough to be noteworthy from the government. (It is why he's great at video games though.)
John hopes he gets strong enough, and he'd love to see him and Tango team up for some wicked awesome super hero shit, it'd be swawesome (no seriously, if they went rogue, it'd be devastating, but hilarious).
But then there's the others.
Guy from the Falconers has fast healing, it's why he gets into fights on the ice.
Kent can mildly see the future by at least a few moments - he wears a suppression thing too, during games at least.
Scraps wears a suppressor too, he can mimic voices/sounds.
Georgia Martin does too. Hers is mundane too. Scouting isn't the power, but her power is why she's scouting for the Falconers, despite being the assistant GM.
Snowy has one.
That dickhole Carly has one.
Three people on the Schooners have a power too.
Just people having powers and some not even realizing (Holster), or being painfully aware of it (Ollie, Wicky, Bitty, Tango, Foxtrot).
John feels bad for the ones who know about their powers, or have the government watching them, the ones that are strong enough that they're suppressed.
Maybe that's why John hides his.
He doesn't want to be watched, or suppressed by the government; he's seen how much it hurts Wicky, and he's selfish, and doesn't want to be in pain.
After graduating, John goes into hiding.

On the night of the concert I put on my black lace-up boots with high heels. Underneath them were ripped red fishnets. Then I put on a black leather minidress with all this corset stuff on the back and front. I put on matching fishnet on my arms. I straightened my hair and made it look all spiky. I felt a little depressed then, so I slit one of my wrists. I read a depressing book while I waited for it to stop bleeding and I listened to some GC. I painted my nails black and put on TONS of black eyeliner. Then I put on some black lipstick. I didn’t put on foundation because I was pale anyway. I drank some human blood so I was ready to go to the concert.
I went outside. Draco was waiting there in front of his flying car. He was wearing a Simple Plan t-shirt (they would play at the show too), baggy black skater pants, black nail polish and a little eyeliner (AN: A lot fo kewl boiz wer it ok!).
“Hi Draco!” I said in a depressed voice.
“Hi Ebony.” he said back. We walked into his flying black Mercedes-Benz (the license plate said 666) and flew to the place with the concert. On the way we listened excitedly to Good Charlotte and Marilyn Manson. We both smoked cigarettes and drugs. When we got there, we both hopped out of the car. We went to the mosh pit at the front of the stage and jumped up and down as we listened to Good Charlotte.
“You come in cold, you're covered in blood They're all so happy you've arrived The doctor cuts your cord, hands you to your mom She sets you free into this life.” sang Joel (I don’t own da lyrics 2 dat song).
“Joel is so fucking hot.” I said to Draco, pointing to him as he sung, filling the club with his amazing voice.
Suddenly Draco looked sad.
“What’s wrong?” I asked as we moshed to the music. Then I caught on.
“Hey, it’s ok I don’t like him better than YOU!” I said.
“Really?” asked Draco sensitively and he put his arm around me all protective.
“Really.” I said. “Besides I don’t even know Joel and he’s going out with Hilary fucking Duff. I fucking hate that little bitch.” I said disgustedly, thinking of her ugly blonde face.
The night went on really well, and I had a great time. So did Draco. After the concert, we drank some beer and asked Benji and Joel for their autographs and photos with them. We got GC concert tees. Draco and I crawled back into the Mercedes-Benz, but Draco didn’t go back into Hogwarts, instead he drove the car into……………………… the Forbidden Forest!
Chapter 4.

“DRACO!” I shouted. “What the fuck do you think you are doing?”
Draco didn’t answer but he stopped the flying car and he walked out of it. I walked out of it too, curiously.
“What the fucking hell?” I asked angrily.
“Ebony?” he asked.
“What?” I snapped.
Draco leaned in extra-close and I looked into his gothic red eyes (he was wearing color contacts) which revealed so much depressing sorrow and evilness and then suddenly I didn’t feel mad anymore.
And then…………… suddenly just as I Draco kissed me passionately. Draco climbed on top of me and we started to make out keenly against a tree. He took of my top and I took of his clothes. I even took of my bra. Then he put his thingie into my you-know-what and we did it for the first time.
“Oh! Oh! Oh! ” I screamed. I was beginning to get an orgasm. We started to kiss everywhere and my pale body became all warm. And then….
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU MOTHERFUKERS!”

Declan didn't even realise he'd moved till he was already standing between Zarc and his father. He hadn't seen his old man in person, face to face in years, hadn't seen Zarc in even more...and yet here he was.
"I won't move, you won't hurt him ever again" said Declan, he refused to. Gravity itself could vanish and he would refuse to float away.
He knew everyone was watching, knew they were shocked and found he didn't care.
Declan had spent too many nights agonising over lab reports, of tests and procedures that made him feel ill but would force himself to read.
The least he could do for Zarc was to know what they'd put him through.
Every single one of those reports only reminded him why he was here.
"Why am I not suprised that you would face me, that you'd pick that monster over Ray."
Declan glared, anger welling up inside his veins making him shake. "Don't you dare! Don't you dare utter her name! You don't deserve to use it, not after everything you've done. If you knew Ray at all you'd know she'd he right here with me!"
Declan was yelling now, he couldn't keep his usual composure.
He found he didn't want to.
The fact his dad would invoke her name so casually pissed him off.
Ray had stood by Zarc till the end, had personally gone to try and calm him down from his rage... It wasn't her fault nor was it Zarc's. It was accident, plain and simple.
What wasn't an accident was their father using it as a cover up of his own crimes against humanity, using his defiant daughter as a martyr and the product of his actions as the monster for the mob to turn on.
If Ray was here she would've flipped him the bird, she was sweet and soft but she was rough around the edges and cursed like a sailor. She was bold and loud and spoke her mind, she ruffled his hair and smuggled Zarc ice cream into the lab.
And their father had tried to erase her, to make her image more agreeable for him. Ray would've hated it, and so did Declan.
He really thought she would choose him?
A stinging sensation was felt on his face and Declan stumbled back but stayed on his feet. His father was suddenly standing before him, enraged.
So Declan did the only thing he could of at that moment and spat at him like the child he was.
"Ra help me Declan if you keep that monster from me, if you stand in my way. For I will be rid of you if I must."
Declan rolled his eyes "been saving that one for a while haven't you."
That's when he felt something else, another hand but this one tugging on his clothes. Shy, hesitant and wasn't painful at all.
"Declan?"
Declan felt his heart stop, keeping his guard up but lightly tilted his head to see Zarc behind him.
He looked so afraid, and he was clinging to Declan like he'd vanish at any moment not that Declan would blame him.
"It's okay" smiled Declan, ignoring the stinging of his cheek. "We're gonna get out of here yeah, and get ice cream like we promised." Like they were going to do before everything went wrong.
Zarc looked at him, all wide eyed but their was no sign of that hopeful twinkle Declan had grown up with. He looked so lost and confused, he didn't dare look Leo in the eye and instead coward behind Declan like he was a sheild.
It broke his heart and made his rage grow, he turned back to his father.
Not needing words 'if you want him, you'll have to go through me'

Probably Years In The Making, that one is just all so damn sappy.

Doom/Almost Human/Star Trek, hands down. Yes, the one AH fic is a crossover one, chaptered, that I have barely reached the AH part of.
8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Honestly, I'd like to try my hand at it, but don't hold your breath.
9. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Thank god I haven't. At least not that I recognized as such, which would also be quite on-brand for me.

I'd hope not.

Nope.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yep. A few times, actually, but they do tend to die in my hands and I feel terrible about that hah Latest one is Lost in Simulations with @lamburrito :')

Fuuuuck I don't think I have one. But I'm enjoying writing Buddie a whole damn lot. I wasn't much of a shipper at all until recently either hah
15. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Probably my bunch of Doom/Star Trek WIPs. I love the crossover with my whole heart, but they are both... Past fixations...
16. What are your writing strengths?
I want to say I do a decent enough job with like... Balancing dialogue and body language? And maybe pacing. Which is hilarious because it's sort of the thing giving me issues with a fic's fourth chapter (I mean, it's chapter 4, I'm allowed to just get on with the plot, yeah? Idk, man, I'm struggling.)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Honestly, being patient. Writing everything out in a multi-chapter before I start posting. Making sure I don't write myself into a corner later in it. I struggle with validation 🤷♂️
18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I've been lucky that all dialogue has been a variation of Spanish I can consult people on, honestly. Both in 9-1-1 and in Cut & Run. But like... I don't necessarily like doing it, but ... I don't know, sometimes it feels... Right? To have some??? I try to keep it simple because I can't expect that all readers will know what I'm writing in that other language. I don't think I've had more than one or two lines at a time in another language
19. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Something in the depths of an old deviantART account that is honestly never going to see the light of day again.
I was 13 or so, and it was digimon stuff.
20. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
Everything in To Me (You're Beautiful) series (9-1-1) and The Scars Will Remain (Doom/Star Trek). Two (... three?) very personal pieces :)

2019 in Mittens Fic
Aah, it’s that time of year again! The annual Fic Roundup!

As usual, I began the year with hopes of beating my all-time wordcount record, and as usual I didn’t quite make it. What can I say, 2015 was a banner year for me. :P
I did manage to post a @deancaspinefest AND a DCBB this year (how could I not participate in the 10th annual dcbb?), as well as a decent number of other fics. 179,211 words posted to AO3, and only ~13k of them meta instead of fic. But it’s been an arguably busy year IRL for me (we put our house up for sale in November, but it took us the better part of the year to get to the point we were ready to do that... it’s been a grind...). Hopefully, as usual, 2020 will give me more uninterrupted writing time. :D
Plus, 2019 gave all us writers this gem...

canon case fic wherein TFW themselves become the case, good feelings ensue. or that one where the Winchester Gospels brings people together, and the people they’ve saved in the past band together to save TFW, with the power of stories. (i.e. that one fic where I came SO CLOSE to predicting canon before it happened, but whoopsie forgot for a second that Chuck is actually a dick... eh, oh well, it’s still a fun story. The Things You See When You Haven't Got Your Gun (625 words, rated T)
Not new, but a polished-up old thing I wrote back after 12.15 because I needed it to exist. Sam sneaks a peek at Cas with the Hellhound glasses on, and sees far more than he bargained for, in the best way.
It's Destiny (7277 words, rated T)
The first in a series I think of as the Miserable Moose ‘Verse. canon case fic, in which Sam is cursed with a psychic link to Dean and Cas, who proceed to do everything in their power not to freak Sam out by thinking about each other. Hilarity ensues, with a side of Samwitch.
It's Lily Dale (14,268 words, rated T)
A pseudo-sequel to It’s Destiny, but only because they were both written from the same prompt. They’re both canon case fic, both involve Sam inflicted with a psychic link to Dean and Cas, and hopefully both are hilarious. One of my resolutions for 2020 is to write more of these little fics, because I apparently love making Sam squirm (but also giving him a happy ending) :’D

Disney Sequel Reviews shortly, because why not ( Part 3 )
101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure
- Story Time: When i was little, i often went to my great-grandmother in the weekends. She had a TV and a DVD Player with 4 DVDs: Patch's London Adventure, Lion King 1 1/2, Home on the Range and a bunch of episodes of Disney's Gummi Bears. Thanks to that I saw this movie like a billion times, so i might be too nice to it. But again, this is my list, so i do whatever i want
- This is one of my favorite Disney Sequel ( it's definietly in the top 5 )
- The animation style is really good
- Cruella is back and she's even crazier than last time
- this painter guy is golden
- I really enjoyed watching Patch and Thunderbolt interacting with each other in the streets of London.
- And they actually casted a child to voice the puppy character not like in a certain other case ( *cough* Scamp *cough* )
- The worst part of this movie is the Horace-Jasper duo. In the first movie, they were kinda funny but still threatening characters. Here, they are horrible comic reliefs. A woman dress? Really?
- And HOLY SHIT THEY SENT CRUELLA TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL. That's dark Disney.
Stitch! The movie
- The animation is really nice
- This is a prequel to a TV series done RIGHT
- If you didn't know, this movie was the setup for the Lilo and Stitch animated series ( which is one of my favorites )
- I love Hamsterwheel as a villain
- 625 have all the powers that Stitch has, but he just want to make sandwiches. He's fantastic.
- Pleakley and Jumba are back, and they are just as great as in the first one
- I really like 221's Design. Kinda Stitch, but not really
Lion King 1 1/2
- ALL HAIL THE BEST DISNEY SEQUEL EVER MADE
- Timon and Pumbaa ( but mostly Timon ) are my favorite Disney characters. A movie about them? Count me in.
- The animation is Gorgeous, almost as good as the original's ( which would've come at handy in the Lion King 2, just sayin' )
- The movie have both hilarious and emotional moments which is always good in a movie.
- The songs are all great, i love them ( Digga Tunnah is hella catchy, it's remix in the credits is great, and the score when Timon leaves the colony is beautiful )
- Fun Fact: The song "That's all i need" was actually the original "Hakuna Matata", called "Warthog Rhapsody".
- We finally know why the animal tower collapsed
- Timon's mom deserves respect: she loved his son so much that she was ready to face the whole world alone just to find him. The power of motherly love is the strongest power of all.
- Uncle Max is fantastic
- Possibly my favorite Disney scene is in this movie: the montage where Timon and Pumbaa are dealing with cub Simba. Seeing how hard they are trying to keep him safe is kinda heartwarming ( especially when he had a nightmare about THAT part of the first movie which broke my heart into a million pieces )
- The Proposal. I said enough.
- Timon willing to sacrifice himself just to save Pumbaa, Ma and Uncle Max ( and leading the hyenas to Scar so they could eat him ) is ( in my opinion ) one of the bravest Disney moments.
- And of course the Cinema scenes are great. Especially the one at the beginning and the one at the end.
- Also there's like 2 million hidden Mickeys in this movie
Mulan 2
- *Very Angry Hissing Noise* D I E
- From my favorite to my LEAST favorite sequel!
- I hate this movie. Possibly the 3 good things about it are the animation ( except Shang's facial expressions ), the soldiers and the max. 2 minutes of screentime when Grandma Fa is shown.
- The moral of the story is possibly one of the worst morals: Love is the only thing that matters and fuck everything else. THE FATE OF CHINA WAS ON STAKE FOR GOD'S SAKE MULAN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SMARTER THAN THAT
- By the way China was possibly doomed, since the princesses didn't marry to the finger-trap guy
- BUT the biggest crime of the movie was that they made My Dude Mushu unlikeable. He was my favorite character from the first movie. Here he's just a douchebag. Plus no Eddie Murphy
- The songs are meh
- And HOW ON EARTH DID SHANG SURVIVE THAT FALL? You can't say "Because Disney", because there were several other cases of someone dying from a fall. Isn't it right Ratigan, Gaston and Cyclops from Hercules?

Where do the words go that were just in my head? the words that actually got me to open this sperm shrinking, folding relic of 2012? Are they gone forever or just stored somewhere till the fog lifts a little? They we’re really great words i’m sure of it. Hilarious, poigniant? poignat? poignant! and just poetic enough to bring you back for more. Pretty sure they contained a great opener, a thought provoking thesis wrapped in a hilarious proposition. It was no doubt followed by a commentary and a half way respectable attempt to prove it without having to “prove it”. These words were so fucking great. So where did they go? My grandfather’s email chain has a hilarious answer based on what religion you observe but I don’t think words have souls, well maybe words but definitely not letters, well maybe the Q. That bitch is sexual. I can only follow you with a U? Yes ma’am, Whatever you say...
If you find my words, either in your phone, on a wall or in a bathroom by the mirror please let me know and don’t take them from me, I’ll know forsure. I think. No definitely. As soon as the fog lifts.
