the fact that 42 sapphic shows have been cancelled this year but heartstopper and young royals have been renewed is insane. don't get me wrong, i still love those shows, but it really shows the bias in media consumption when it comes mlm vs wlw shows
i have absolutely no evidence to back this up but to me it seems the cw has cancelled shows with lgbt characters/storylines that are quite important to lgbt+ community
Jharrel and Claudette are handcuffed together in a hotel room.
Jharrel: Look, since we don’t know what’s gonna happen, I -
Claudette: There’s no time for speeches, Jharrel. Look, I -- I know you’ve come to care for me in a far kinder way than the man I left behind in 1958.
Jharrel: Okay, that’s it. We -- We get out of this and I am taking you feather bowling.
Claudette laughs.
Jharrel: All right? We’re gonna do this right.
Claudette: You already did everything right.
They kiss.]
Kung Fu: A quarter-life crisis causes a young Chinese-American woman, Nicky Shen, to drop out of college and go on a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China. But when she returns to San Francisco, she finds her hometown is overrun with crime and corruption, and her own parents are at the mercy of a powerful triad. Nicky relies on her tech-savvy sister, pre-med brother, ex-boyfriend and a new love interest, as well as her martial arts skills and Shaolin values, to protect her community and bring criminals to justice -- all while searching for the ruthless assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor and is now targeting her.
The 4400: In an instant, at least 4,400 overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people who had vanished without a trace over the past century are returned to Detroit, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to understand the phenomenon, analyze the potential threat, and contain the story, an empathetic social worker and hardened community corrections officer are among the civil servants called upon to deal with the uncanny refugees. The new partners clash in ideology and approach but gradually find they have more in common than they thought as they become familiar with those under their care -- a group of unwilling time travelers who are grappling with their impossible new reality, including the fact that they were returned with a few upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were brought back now for a reason they're only beginning to understand.
Let me take a moment to pour a few drinks out for these shows being cancelled from the CW network THIS YEAR ALONE that didn’t deserve to be lost in their pursue of trimming their network after being sold off and bought by another company.. here’s to these shows. Which shows will you miss?
