Dorothy Thompson, a columnist for the Herald Tribune and host of a nationally syndicated radio program, was one of the few American journalists who recognized Hitler for the danger he was. Despite being ridiculed, she wrote and broadcasted repeated warnings about the Nazi threat throughout the 1930s. In 1939, she was ejected from a German-American Bund (American Nazi Party) rally for heckling the speakers. Here, she receives an ovation as she speaks at a "tolerance meeting" at Carnegie Hall, March 3, 1939, which was held in response to the Bund rally. She addressed a capacity crowd.

In the last decade, I've heard a myriad of opinions about depression, usually from those who have never experienced it themselves. It's just seasonal. Just get out more. Maybe you just need a routine. Perhaps I should sacrifice one of my therapy sessions so they can talk to my therapist instead of me. Just once. Would that be enough?
For the last five years, I've heard that I sniffle often, that maybe I should blow my nose, a sinus flush might help. Maybe I need to book an appointment for these people with my ENT specialist. She can explain to them the ins and outs of non-allergic rhinitis. They then might finally understand that however much it annoys them, it annoys me doubly so.
Seven months after having back surgery, my cousin suggests maybe my chronic lower back pain can be solved with arch support. He has one leg a little shorter than the other, that might be it? Others think it's weird - over and over again, without fail - that even after surgery, I still suffer pain. I guess they should have been present when my neurosurgeon patiently explained to expect this. Hearing it from me is clearly not enough.
I have never been susceptible to social stigma. The taboo of mental illness has no effect on me. I am open and honest about how I struggle with my health.
What will ultimately push me into silence is people's insistence on solving my problems in ways that for some mysterious reason multiple health professionals failed to suggest.

National Canadian Bacon Day
For meat lovers, there’s not much that is better than good old slices of yummy bacon! In sandwiches, fried up on a breakfast plate, served in pancakes, even served with syrup – bacon is the meat candy of the world and has more than its fair share of dedicated fans!
But, then, there are different kinds of bacon to enjoy in different capacities– and one of them is Canadian bacon, as it is known in the United States.
Many people think that Canadian bacon is a little more like ham than actual bacon, because of the way it is served. Made from back bacon and formed into a cylindrical shape, this type of meat is sold ready to eat.
History of National Canadian Bacon Day
According to rumor, Canadian bacon may have once upon a time been known as ‘peameal bacon’. This is because the ham was prepared with brine and then rolled in ground-up dried yellow peas that would extend the meat’s shelf life. The versatility of the product led to it being quite popular and useful, especially for those who were in a hurry to prepare a meaty meal.
Today, Canadian bacon is still cured, but it is usually rolled in yellow cornmeal instead of the dried yellow peas. But the composition of the savory treat remains the same – cut from the loin and served unsmoked in thick, circular slices. This is a leaner cut of pork than standard bacon, making it a slightly healthier choice for those trying to cut down on the amount of fat they eat.
If you were to go to Canada and ask for Canadian bacon, you might be met with a few confused looks. In Canada, it is usually known instead as ‘back bacon’, or simply ‘ham’. If you just asked for bacon in Canada, you would likely receive the same streaky pork belly slices that you’d be used to in the United States.
National Canadian Bacon Day was created in celebration and honor of this tasty, versatile meat from the land that is beloved for ice hockey, maple syrup, and, of course, this type of bacon.

Celebrating National Canadian Bacon Day brings with it the obvious choice of partaking in a meal that includes (or, better yet, is centered around) Canadian Bacon. Most likely this will be eaten for breakfast, but it doesn’t have to be.

In 2024, World Wildlife Day will explore digital innovation and seek to highlight how digital technologies and services can drive wildlife conservation and human-wildlife coexistence, now and for future generations in an increasingly connected world.
Under the theme "Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation," the World Wildlife Day 2024 celebrations will aim to raise awareness on the latest applications of digital technologies in wildlife conservation and trade and the impact on ecosystems and communities around the world of certain digital interventions. The Day promises to feature new tools for enhancing our efforts to safeguard biodiversity and the benefits we derive from wild animals and plants. It will offer a platform to engage in a balanced discussion around inclusive and responsible digital innovation, in line with the 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
World Wildlife Day should connect people with our natural world and inspire continued learning and action beyond the event. For WWD 2024, we hope to provide a jumping off point for exploring what digital innovations are available now, what discrepancies we are facing and how we want our digital connectivity to evolve for people and planet.
The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), with partners such as the UN Development Programme (UNDP), International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Jackson Wild and others, will host the World Wildlife Day 2024 celebration

NANAMI is 100% a spanker.
He loves your ass. He could just stare at you for hours on end, no matter what you’re wearing at the time. Be it a pencil skirt, yoga pants, sport shorts or a dress. He could just stand there and watch you move, glutes moving up and down, hips swaying. It makes him swoon.
And while he could stand and stare, he’d much rather feel it up against his palm. He’d slap your buttocks once he walks past you, soft and teasing. Depending on your response the situation elevates.
More times than not you find yourself sprawled out on his lap, his hands colliding with the skin multiple times over until he can feel it get warmer. His ears are immune to your cries,gasping at the force that comes with the loud clapping. Sometimes he’d stop to tease your clit gently, fingertips rubbing the bundle of nerves to hear a soft moan from you or have you tighten your shaking thighs over his palm. But it’s not too long before his hand is swinging in the air and against your reddened ass.
At some other occasions, he finds himself subconsciously feeling your ass in the morning. His large hands explore the soft flesh, squishing it tightly in his palm and giving it light slaps every so often.
GOJO, on the other hand, is a hair puller.
Honestly, there is no specific reason that he likes to pull your hair so much. Mostly he just likes the feeling of your hair filling into his fist, no matter the length of it, locks running between his fingers. It's an oddly satisfying to him .
He’s very random with it, too. Satoru would approach you while doing the dishes, one second his arms are wrapped lovingly around your waist, and the next his hand fists as much as it can of your hair and tugs at it
“A-a- ah- Satoru– let go, seriously,” You’d grumble, face scrunched at the suddenness of it.
“Mm, Gotta ask nicely, baby,” his hand continues to grab your hair tightly. Judging by the amused smirk on his face, he’s just messing around. Must get a kick out of it.
It’s another reason he loves seeing you on your knees before him. Your mouth consumes so much of his length, hands pumping whatever your mouth couldn’t fit in. All Satoru has to do is sit back, feel good, and pull at your hair. It’s easy control. And Satoru loves this control, as if steering your head however he likes. Not that your skilled mouth needs direction.
