19 Days: Chapter 423
I feel like this chapter followed the slice-of-life theme from that official beach art. It was so fun and yet had SO many interactions happening at once! We'll start with Momo's invitation:
The elypses in his speech and the absence of any eye contact expressed Mo's uncertainty in his own suggestion. He was likely embarrassed and a little shy to present his vulnerable desire for companionship so plainly in front of his friends.
By their looks of astonishment, JianTianXi were caught way off guard lol Zheng Xi has the decency to call his mama and give her the 411 on his evening plans, while Tian and Yi immediately jump into nuisance mode.
Just look at the annoyed expression He Tian dons during this entire exchange. He really thought they’d continue where they left off that one night he gifted Lil Mo the earrings. Boy had some dirty deeds in mind, ya hear?
They head to the market for some fresh ingredients, and in true fashion, Jian Yi embraces gold-digging 101. Thankfully, Xixi scolds him - probably because he knows they can't just throw everything on He Tian's tab now. I love how Xixi keeps Yi in check. Sometimes, I feel that he just loves to see his big baby pout for him.
Meanwhile, we've got lost puppy Tian about to get sweet-talked into spending his rent money on a whole fish. Guan Shan can't take his eye off this one for a second.
They finally get their groceries and are heading back to the crib, when titties enter the chat. I mean...
Gah!! Damn!!! Daddy! 🥵 I'm with Mo on this one
I 100% believe Momo was still squinting at them milkshakes lol
Qiu titties aside, I was not expecting Papa Qiu in this chapter 🤗 Look how happy he made the babes! My heart is so full after this chapter 🥰🥰🥰

1- How many works do you have on AO3?
I have 19 works on AO3.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
Do y'all really want to know? Welp. Okay, since you asked.
According to the stats section of AO3, I have published 1,338,126 words on AO3. (Not including my recently deleted fic which was 23,000-ish words).
A million of those words are Korrasami fics.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Korrasami (The Legend of Korra) and Supercorp (Supergirl - Arrowverse).
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Confession (Supercorp) at 854 kudos, which was a rewrite of the end of Season 4.
You are the only one that sees me, trusts me, and believes in me (Supercorp) at 411 kudos, which is a one-shot of Kara telling Lena the truth after Lena is poisoned in Season 3.
Unraveling Realities (Supercorp and sequel to Confession) at 346 kudos, which is a rewrite of Season 5. (Includes Lena's Great Irish Quest and is not a rift fic).
Shared Moments: Book 2 - Spirits (Korrasami) at 329 kudos, and is a rewrite of The Legend of Korra Book 2. I continue this series all the way through to Book 4 (Books 1 through 3 are completed, I'm working on Book 3.5 and 4).
Terminal Velocity, Texts, and Cats (Supercorp) at 215 kudos, and is the story of Lena and Kara's friendship/relationship from season 2 through start of Season 6 (no Totem storyline tho) as told through texts, cats, and carefully woven short scenes. It's a one-shot technically.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes. I will gladly talk to folks in the comments and even have conversations with people! I enjoy it. I do my best to thank commenters too, though it may take me a bit to answer these days.
However, when people shit on my fiction, I learned my lesson, and no longer fall for that trap.
But overall most comments are pleasant and lovely. I love hearing from readers! Feel free to share how you feel and your thoughts on the story.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I tend toward happy endings to be honest, but I'd say the angstiest ending was Shared Moments: Book 3 - Change (Korrasami) because there's no avoiding the angst there. I kept the story arc of Book 3 close to the original, so for folks that have seen TLOK, they know how angst heavy the end of Book 3 is.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of them? Well, except for Book 3 - Change and Book 3.5 - The Mirror. Those aren't happy per se. They are hopeful, yes, but not happy. All other fics have a happy ending.
Maybe Asami's Hidden Box of Letters and Poetry? It's a cute one-shot of Asami and Korra being absolutely adorable, and it ends with them being happy and kissing, so yeah. Probably the happiest?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Ugh, yeah. Weirdly enough I got the most hate on my Korrasami fics, where a few readers would write some really, really cruel things. Or rant about what they wanted me to write. Or engage in fights with other commenters (yes, this happened on the big finale of Book 3 - Change, where the ableist comments squared off with the kind commenters). Or the editor commenter who gave unasked for and unwanted "editing" of chapters.
Strangely enough, I have only had one mean commenter in the Supercorp fandom, and that poster was someone that other commenters warned me about and told me to disregard.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Not really? I will write a vague sex scene here and there -- mostly in the Korrasami fics (my Shared Moments series). I haven't gotten to any sex scenes in the Supercorp fics though a few are coming up in Unraveling Realities.
I try to capture the emotion of the scene rather than describing the sex in detail. I honestly don't feel qualified to write a smut scene, which is why I prefer this approach.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I wrote a silly crossover of Supergirl and The Legend of Korra. It's on Tumblr somewhere -- see my pinned post, I think I linked it there.
I do have a WIP, where Lena builds a multiverse portal only for it to open in the Avatarverse, and her and Kara accidentally end up stuck in Asami and Korra's world. So then Korra and Asami have to help them build a portal and find their way home again. I don't know if I'll ever finish it.
I also have a Star Wars Korrasami WIP. This one involves Asami and Korra assisting in the Battle of Endor with Luke, Leia, Han, and crew. They then help with the building of the Republic.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes, I was pissed. Please don't do that.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of. If anyone wants to translate one of my fics, let me know. I'm willing to talk shop.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
@nottawriter and I are working on a Supercorp fic, though it's not published. It's where Lena and her daughter meet Kara, who is their home inspector.
Beyond that, I've only ever co-written original fiction. My friend, Raveneye and I wrote an original science fiction story. It was written in the form of "letters," where one person was on the space station (Raveneye's character) and one person on the alien planet (my character).
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Korrasami. Supercorp is a close second.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I will finish all my WIPs someday!! Unless I die before that happens. *knocks on wood*
But I guess the Supergirl/TLOK crossover is least likely to ever be finished.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Worldbuilding and immersion of reader in the five senses.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Pacing. Honestly. pacing makes me anxious, and I'm always convinced I'll fuck it up, especially in longer works. (And yet, I write mostly longer works. Go figure).
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I have done this. Spanish and Irish in particular. (Kryptonian as well now that I think about it). I include translations in the end-notes.
I do it mostly for the reader to feel the same emotions as the POV character who struggles to understand the other language. Does this trick work? So far comments seem to imply yes? But who knows?
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Korrasami.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I have to pick one??? I don't know actually.
I'm pretty proud of my rewrite of Book 2 - Spirits and Book 3 - Change. I'm also proud of Confession, especially how I reworked Lena's role in the Red Daughter fight scenes.
But I like all my fics equally well to be honest. I mean why write them otherwise?

Chapter 411
I have so much to say about today's chapter, but since I can't organize my mind like always, I'll just list my thoughts here:
Tianshan is officially married, which will make their separation more painful to watch
Jian Yi's parents are such couple goals. I believe Mama Jian said she wouldn't leave her lover even though she knew who he really was (since I think during their conversation she wasn't a mother yet and they didn't have Jian Yi until after but this only my opinion). However, Jian Yi’s dad was the one who left them instead as we saw in older chapters (probably dead or killed now, I don't know...). That's why Jian Yi asks Xixi not to leave him. And we know that he will be the first to leave later. As others have said, Jian Yi's parents probably foreshadow the future that awaits these teenagers. And I can add that history can repeat itself.
Someone has already explained the absence of father figures in 19 days but I can't find it. You know I'm just curious what their dads were like - - uhmm daddy issues hitting hard
To conclude, Old Xian is evil, bribing us with fluff and then beating us with angst, and I'll never be ready for that...

Some small things from chapter 105 that came to mind when I read today's chapter (411/413):
Both chapters are about Jian Yi's recollection of past events with ZZX on the "outside" accompanying him.
Today's chapter told the story of Jian Yi's parents before they separated, while 105 showed the actual separation.
In the times of chapter 105, 19 Days was still a cute heartwarming romcom without any angst, so even while that lore was revealed, Jian Yi took that as a light dream and reacted by interacting with ZZX in a cute way. Now that the readers have more context and the story has become more serious, Jian Yi's mood after his recollection is more serious.
Jian Yi in chapter 105's flashback: "You will keep me company.... For how long?" Jian Yi in today's chapter: "Don't ever leave me."

A Month of LGBT+ Prompts;

1. She had not been keen to go bowling with some strangers but now she couldn’t take her eyes of the girl in the 80′s get up and couldn’t care less if she missed every time.
2. Coming out to via interior decoration wasn’t the first option they would have gone with but their best friend had at least made it tasteful.
3. Unknown to most, the lead singers of supposedly rival bands are all members of the same polycule, several of their biggest hits are about each other.
4. “Have you seen my partner? About so high, questionable fashion sense, likely holding a dog and laughing maniacally.”
5. A shoal of trans mers have decided to take in this lost werewolf as one of their own.
6. Engineer was excited to reveal the upgraded prosthetic he had designed for his boyfriend.
7. Adoption was thrilling as it was nerve-wracking, even more so when several of your kids weren’t human with varying levels of understanding of gender.
8. “Be warned, the first time I talked to him I realised I wasn’t straight, so if you’re not ready to potentially be hit with sudden realisation you might want to take a minute.”
9. They freaking loved the fashion of this planet, their fabric shifted shape, style and colour according to the wearers mood and preference, meaning their days of fussing in front of a mirror were over.
10. Bi lovers bemoan how oblivious their collection of friends and former crushes are to their charming nature.
11. They loved their team mates, they really did, but not enough to deal with all of them being so nosy and doing poor job of hiding to spy on their first date. Luckily their date had a plan.
12. A prince sent on a mission to save a princess from an evil king ends up in an unlikely alliance with said kings son, soon enough their partnership becomes a lot closer than either expected.

14. Social awkward lesbian just really wants to be able to give the lead actress a bouquet and ask her out like a normal person.
15. A battered ragdoll becomes enamoured with a cracked porcelain doll.
16. Single mother regularly buys new books for their child from a particular book store so she can talk a little longer with the writer that often hangs around the cooking section.
17. Just the daily lives of an aromantic god of love, the asexual god of lust and the pansexual god of death as they observe their favourite mortals.
18. It had been three years since they had completed the transition, and now he was was going to ask the best woman in the world to be his wife.
19. “Thankyou for trusting me and know my love for you is unchanged, but don’t think that suddenly coming out is enough to distract me from that portal in the kitchen.”
20. Old painter loves to give out free face painting sessions during Pride, individualising each design to give each costumer a little special encouragement.
21. They had been peacefully driving their ship around the solar system when suddenly their was a star skinned person stuck to their window and staring at them.
22. Of all the universes they could have been transported to it was that of a dating sim, well, time to set up this assortment of strange characters with people that were actually interested in that sort of thing.
23. The princess has become infatuated with the local bog witch, at least they’re not evil this time.
24. Labels never really suited them, each day their feelings and preferences shifted around making it impossible to simplify it to one category, so they stuck to collecting clothes that had suitable quotes to define their self for the day.
25. Superhero is delighted to find out that their boyfriend got the staring role for the latest superhero movie.
26. Music shop owner can tell when confused and questioning kids need a little motivation and suggests particular musicians and albums they think will make them feel less alone.
27. Genderfluid skeleton ends up working as a model for a photographer, allowing for them both to express themselves through art.
28. “Oh right, I have a daughter now, turns out she was the one whose been swiping my hair pins. We’re going shopping this weekend.”
29. Getting lost in the woods isn’t all that bad when a cute hiker finds you and lets you hold their hand so you won’t get lost again.
30. Dragons love drag queens, they’re always so shiny and colourful.
31. How do two characters fitting the con artist and the wise fool archetypes fall in love in an office setting?

I’m not sure I notice any patterns, per se. I suppose I try to set the scene with the opening line most of the time. And twice it wasn’t a sentence but a sound. This was interesting though. Going through my stuff and remembering where I was and what was going on when I was writing each work. A lot of these are under 1k... short attention span, lol.
As far as my favorite... ok... I’m going to choose a few: 4, 8, and 15. I don’t know what I’m doing most of the time. I just flail around and get lucky sometimes.
