ガゼット history (1998-2002)

Ruki's first band was a punk rock band called 鎖鎌 (Kusarigama). He started it in high school with one of his classmates. After this band broke up, his friend asked him to be the drummer of a vkei band. This was Ruki's first vkei band, Sacrifice. According to vk.gy, Sacrifice formed in 1998 and disbanded in 1999.

Ruki and his friend eventually decided to leave 鎖鎌 to form a new band called 魅琴 (Mikoto). The timeline for 魅琴 is pretty messy, because Ruki and the band's vocalist have given slightly different timelines for the band. According to Ruki, he was there when they formed 魅琴. However, there are flyers that show the band had a lineup prior to Ruki joining.

According to Ruki, he and the guitarist found a vocalist for the band after seeing him perform in Yokohama. The vocalist brought along the guitarist and bassist from his band, and they formed the final lineup of 魅琴 (Mikoto).

魅琴 played their first live on 3/28/2000 at Yokohama 7th AVENUE. On 05/28/2000, both the guitarist and bassist left the band. Ruki joined as the drummer on 6/17/2000. Ruki and the guitarist 悲敬 (Hikei) joined vocalist 舞沙 (Casüga) and guitarist 憂葵 (Yuki) with support bassist 朋架 (Houka).

Meanwhile, Uruha and Reita had been in several bands throughout middle and high school. vk.gy lists Uruha's early band history as before christ → adolf → dis eine. Reita isn't listed as being in any of these bands, but he almost certainly was.

Ruki met Uruha and Reita when 魅琴 played with their band 鴉 (Karasu). Both bands were active in the Yokohama live scene, and they played together multiple times. Ruki and 舞沙 thought that Uruha and Reita were really cool, so 舞沙 eventually approached them about forming a new band with him and Ruki.

Meanwhile, Aoi moved from Mie to Tokyo in 1999/2000. He met Yune sometime after, and they formed a band called Melville. Melville played their first live on 1/27/2001 at hide MUSEUM in Yokosuka.

Mikoto played their last live on 3/22/2001 at Takadanobaba AREA. Ruki, Uruha, and Reita formed Ma'die Küsse on 4/13/2001. Ma'die Küsse played their first live a few months later on 6/13/2001 at Meguro Rock Maykan. Ruki had hoped his fans from 魅琴 would follow him to the new band, but Ma'die Küsse was a lot less popular and eventually ended up having only around 10 fans.

The band tried a few different concepts and sounds, before settling on the medical theme (with lab coats and bloody bandages). Their fans increased, but tensions built up between the members. Ruki, Uruha, and Reita formed a not-so-secret side band called L'ie:Chris ahead of Ma'die Küsse breaking up.

Melville disbanded a few months later, and played their final live on 4/14/2001 at Takadanobaba AREA. Aoi and Yune then went on to form a new band called Artia on 6/06/2001. Artia played their first live on 7/19/2001.

On 9/16/2001, L'ie:Chris played their first live as a “secret band” before the disbandment of Ma'die Küsse. Once they stopped playing secretly, they began going by Kar†te=zyAnose. They played their first official live as Kar†te=zyAnose on 11/12/2001.

Aoi and Yune met Ruki, Uruha, and Reita on 10/05/2001 when Ma'die Küsse and Artia played a live together at Meguro LIVE STATION.

Ma'die Küsse played their last live (at Takadanobaba AREA) before disbanding on 10/28/2001. On 11/04/2001, Artia then announced that they'll be disbanding after their live on 11/26/2001.

Ruki, Uruha, and Reita approached Yune about joining a new band. Yune suggested that they also let Aoi join. The members agreed, because they thought it would be good for the band to have an ikemen member.

Kar†te=zyAnose played their last live on 1/01/2002. ガゼット then formed a couple weeks later on 1/14/2001. ガゼット played their first live on 3/10/2002 at Meguro Rock Maykan.

About a year after their first live, Yune left the band, and Kai officially joined ガゼット on 2/02/2002. Yune did come back as a support drummer for a brief period when Kai suffered from hearing loss.

Not long ago people attacked gay and lesbian people for being sexual predators. These days the same arguments are used against trans people.

Right wing extremists and left wing “trans-exclusionary radical feminists” (TERFs) are arguing that trans women are a threat to cis women and children. The tactic is to sexualize transgender people, reducing their gender identity to some kind of perversion.

This is not in any way a new tactic, historically. It has been used against feminists, people of color and gay men and lesbian women.

So, you might ask why lesbian are using the same tactics against trans people, as straight, cis, people used against their kind. They have clearly learned nothing from history.

Over at twitter The Implausible Girl has collected a wide variety of newspaper clippings documenting the arguments used against gay men and lesbian women. I will present some of them here.

The Cult Argument

One typical argument used about trans people is that they are part of a cult that uses propaganda to harm cis people. The same argument was used against gay people.

The Criminal Myth

In the same way trans women are presented as criminals these days, gay men and lesbian women were considered lawless in the 20th century.

The fact that gay men and lesbian women were forced into the closet by transphobes, was used against them by the same transphobes. They were considered deceptive and dishonest. The same applies to trans people today.

The Oppressor is the Victim Myth

When gay men and lesbian people fought for respect and acceptance, their straight oppressors immediately presented themselves as victims. These days lesbian TERFs spread the lie that the trans cause is weakening the lesbian cause.

The argument that “gender ideology” threatens religious liberty is the exact same argument as the one used against gay and lesbian people in the 20th century.

Female rebels used to be called "sluts” and “nymphomaniacs” by the servants of the Patriarchy. Black people had to use separate bathrooms in South Africa and the American South, to “protect” white women and children for irrational, hypersexual, black men and women. Finally, lesbian and gay people were considered part of an evil conspiracy aimed at turning “decent kids and women” into sexual deviants.

The Binary is Common Sense Myth

People who know little about science or the diversity of religious beliefs seem to think that the sexual binary (we are all born straight) and the gender binary (biological sex equals gender identity) are self evident. Moreover, they think this dogma is supported by science and religion.

Lesbian TERFs, who are themselves victims of this nonsense, are now using this argument against trans people.

We keep mentioning how transspecies as a term has existed long before the radqueer & transID communities formed, and started claiming it as part of those communities despite it's actual usage within nonhuman/fictional/unusual human species identifying spaces and objections from said spaces.

Proof that Tony Stark is not an alcoholic in the MCU. Part 4

Iron Man 3:

0:01:10 – we know that Tony was drunk at that conference in Bern in 1999. Yinsen told us in Iron Man (2008) and Maya tells us here. But come on, all we see there – are drunk people with bottles and glasses of alcohol. Because it's NEW YEAR celebration. And btw, we see that he’s not REALLY drunk, like he was pretending to be in Iron Man 2.

0:10:20 – see no alcohol, only veggies. There are bottles on the table, but they don't look like alcoholic drinks.

0:16:25 – Tony goes to his wine cellar (it’s big, we have to admit), and drinks Hundred Acre wine.

0:17:10 – he takes a bottle of white wine from the fridge.

0:19:25 – a bottle of white wine with two glasses are waiting for Pepper in the living room. They were never touched.

0:52:15 – Tony is at the bar and is holding a glass of something colorless and with ice. I don't think he needs to get drunk right now, so I'll assume it's water. Put your ideas in the comments if you disagree.

1:17:50 – Trevor offers Tony a can of beer. Tony refuses.

End of the movie.

Conclusion: he was drunk. Maybe. Back in 1999. During the New Year celebration. But in 2013, before our eyes, he drank only a little wine. Even if he drank a glass of wine every day – that’s “normal drinking”.

what im getting at is that her and jenson could have formed a familial connection to each other because of the two of them being in the same garage/hospitality/factory basically all the time

imagine she has a few trophies dedicated to her as well as a few of jensons helmets that he has signed

[side note: this girls helmet collection is STACKED, her collection is #1 on a lot of f1 fans rob list]

imagine she still has an old brawn gp hoodie that was way oversized on her as because she stole it from her dad and refused to wear the child sized one that was specially made for her by the clothing department

and any time she wears it around the paddock the adult who watched her grow up are reminded of how small she was and now she's a grown adult who is living her childhood dream

she's no longer the kid that would hide behind your legs waiting for you to be done with an interview (another side note: i think she's a tall girl 6' - 6'4" range)

or the kid that would sit on your lap and accidentally fall asleep with a pair of (oversized on her) headphones on her head while you were analyzing data

she's an aerodynamicist (im gonna get really good at spelling that word with the amount of thots i have about this girl) who takes her job seriously because she loves the people she works with so much and want them to be happy with their work performing well out on the track

she's mick schumacher's girl friend and if that boy ever hurts her she has an army of engineers (unbeknownst to her) at her side ready to fight for the girl they love

ready to fight for the little kid they watched grow up into the amazing person they see before them today

omg yes! bono baby is def loved by everyone, and would totally have dedicated helmets and trophies for her

I feel like everyone who watched her grow up on the paddock would see her nowadays and suddenly get that flash of her walking around as a little girl with oversized clothes, always asking questions when she was comfortable with the group, watching everything attentively, and so on.

adding the angsty side (hehe): maybe she got her height from her mother's side of the family (bc bono is not that tall) and she got a lot of other stuff from her so sometimes bono will get that tight feeling on his heart because she reminds him of so much, so many possibilities, so many plans. she's the best thing that happened to him, but there were days when he would get overwhelmed with how similar they could be. this contributes to the narrative that he's not very keen on her and mick's relationship because secretly he fears that she'll leave him for either a lover, or anything honestly.

yup to the sleeping on your lap while you analyze data (but only after she watched everything attentively and got tired). bono reader is curious, but she's also shy so when she was a kid she wouldn't pass the opportunity to crawl into someone's lap and hide there.

her mom isn't in the picture, but mick can bet that there are at least fifty people that are and would get his head if he ever hurts her

Penguins to retire Jaromir Jagr’s No. 68 during pre-game ceremony on Feb. 18

The Pittsburgh Penguins will raise two-time Stanley Cup Champion Jaromir Jagr’s no. 68 jersey to the rafters at PPG Paints Arena on February 18 versus the Los Angeles Kings as part of a pre-game celebration, it was announced today by the club.

As part of the ‘Celebrate 68’ festivities, all fans in attendance that night will receive a replica Jagr No. 68 banner. In addition, a commemorative Jagr bobblehead has been added as a giveaway to all fans in attendance on Thursday, March 14 versus the San Jose Sharks.

Jagr, whose NHL career spanned over two decades, is one of the most accomplished players in NHL history and a member of the league’s ‘100 Greatest Players.’ In 1,733 career regular-season games, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound winger scored 766 goals, 1,155 assists and 1,921 points. He ranks fourth all-time in games played and goals, fifth in assists, and only Wayne Gretzky (2,857) has recorded more points than him. No player in NHL history has more game-winning goals than Jagr’s 135.

Drafted by Pittsburgh in the first round (5th overall) of the 1990 NHL Draft, Jagr spent the first 11 seasons of his 24-year NHL career with the Penguins, appearing in 806 regular-season games notching 439 goals, 640 assists, 1,079 points, 78 game-winning goals and was plus-208. He is in the top-5 in franchise history in games played (5th), goals (4th), assists (4th), points (4th), plus/minus (2nd) and game-winning goals (4th). He was one of 13 captains in team history, serving in the role from 1998-01.

Jagr was an instrumental piece of Pittsburgh’s back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 1991 and ’92 – his first two seasons in the NHL. In that two-year span, Jagr suited up for 45 postseason contests, notching 37 points (14G-23A), which was sixth in the NHL over that stretch. Jagr shined during the 1992 Stanley Cup playoffs, recording a playoff career-high 24 points (11G-13A) in 21 games. In total, Jagr has dressed in 208 Stanley Cup Playoff contests, accumulating 201 points (78G-123A). He is one of just six players in NHL history with 200 or more playoff points.

The 10-time NHL All-Star has won a plethora of awards over the course of his NHL career. He is a five-time Art Ross Trophy winner (NHL Scoring Leader – 1995, ’98, ’99, ‘00, ’01), three-time Ted Lindsay Award winner (Most Outstanding Player – 1999, ’00, ’06), and was the recipient of the Hart Trophy (NHL MVP) in 1998-99 and Bill Masterton Trophy (Perseverance, Sportsmanship, and Dedication to Ice Hockey) in 2015-16. Jagr was named to the NHL’s First All-Star Team seven times (1995, ’96, ’98, ’99, ’00, ’01, ’06), the Second All-Star Team in 1996-97 and was a member of the All-Rookie Team in 1990-91.

Throughout NHL history, only Chris Chelios (26), Gordie Howe (26) and Mark Messier (25) have played more seasons in the NHL than Jagr’s 24. Of his 24 seasons, he notched 20-plus goals 19 times and 30-plus goals 15 times, which both rank third in league history. He’s also hit the 100-point plateau five times, and was the sixth-oldest player in NHL history to accomplish that feat during the 2005-06 season at 34 years and 31 days old.

The native of Kladno, Czechia has multiple accolades on the international stage. He’s won a gold medal (1998) and bronze medal (2006) at the Olympic Games, two gold medals (2005, ’10) and two bronze medals (1990, 2011) at the IIHF World Championship and a bronze medal at the 1990 IIHF World Junior Championship. Jagr is one of just 30 players in history to join the Triple Gold Club, which includes winning a Stanley Cup, an Olympic gold medal and an IIHF World Championship gold medal. He and Jiri Slegr are the only two players of Czech descent to accomplish this feat.

Jagr currently owns Rytiri Kladno of the Czech Extraliga and has been majority owner of the team since 2011-12.
