Duck Vader is the second of four Ri-DUCK-ulous displays I made for Halloween. He will be displayed on one of New York City's Halloween streets, where thousands walk by to see the decorations or trick or treat.
To me, he looks like he wandered into someone's closet and came out wearing a costume!
Duck Vader is made of recycled bottles, newspaper, and old-fashioned paper mache (flower and water). He's wearing parts of a child's Darth Vader costume. I made his armor using three boxes and covered them with black licorice jelly beans. I used two trash bags for his cape. His feet are covered in orange Tic Tacs.
Sadly, Duck Vader's head came off while we transported him from home to the office. I plan to add a few more candy details to his costume while also repairing him.
Halloween is a great time to express yourself and let your imagination take over.
