Not emotionally prepared for the TSV season 3 break? Neither are we! Procrastinate on consecrating yourself to a god of sleeping through the month of December by checking out the 28-minute long fan episode of the Silt Verses that @nana-glass-chillhop-radio-hour and @transfaulkner wrote, recorded and sound-edited! (Music written by @sealsapocalypticmusic, beta-listened by @mirrorbird)
We are so grateful that @thesiltverses has placed their work under a Creative Commons license and that the production team has such a generous attitude towards transformative media of all kinds based on their creative works. We love the show and had a blast playing in their world.
This fan episode is canon-compliant and takes place in Season 1, between Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 (after Paige parts ways with Carpenter and Faulkner, but before they reach Bellwethers). It is part 1 of 2. The script is also available as a part of the Ao3 work for those who prefer to read along.
Check it out on Archive of Our Own, or listen below. (For best listening experience, we recommend you wear headphones.)
Let us know what you think! We hope you like it!!

Annabeth may have influenced Percy to give up godhood, but Percy was literally ready to give up his life for Nico di Angelo.
Let me explain. In ttc, Percy decides that the great prophecy about a demigod child of the big three will be about him, so that it doesn't fall to the next big three child (that Percy knows): Nico di Angelo.
In tlo, Percy finds out that the prophecy says he will die. To quote Percy, he says, "if I die, I die." He accepts this. He doesn't turn back, run away or try to backpedal his way out of claiming the great prophecy, because he knows that if it doesn't end with him, it'll kill Nico. Percy was ready to die, so that Nico could have a chance to live.

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.  Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”  Isaiah 43: 18-19, ESV

I finally found some time to sit down and listen to music and relax and just not think about anything, but the music I was listening to was the new Taylor Swift album and The Prophecy came on and now I will be thinking about how well it fits that really angsty chapter of Time Heals All Wounds for the next 36 hours.

Being a smut peddler who also writes non-smut can be...weird... sometimes. Cuz like. I'm trying to write this NON SMUTTY BOOK that has ZERO SEXY INCEST and STILL my fucking lizard brain is like "Make her fuck her adopted dad figure. Come on. He's evil. She's evil. They are bound together by prophecy. He's hot. She's naive and trying to grow up too fast. Do it. Do it. Do it (make them do it)--"
And I'm spraying it with water going "THIS IS NOT THE FUCKING TIME"

I've been played before if you hadn't guessed So I kept my cards close to my foolproof vest But you called my bluff and saw through all my tells And then you went all in and we left together
But then you called, showed your hand I turned around before I hit the tunnel Sat on the roof, you and I I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends
Cards on thе table Mine play out like fools in a fablе Oh, it was sinking in Slow is the quicksand Poison blood from the wound of the pricked hand Oh, still I dream of him

What does the Bible say about “spiritual warfare”?
Ephesians 6:11 KJV
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
Spiritual warfare requires preparation—through prayer, unwavering faith, and knowledge of biblical truth—to defeat your spiritual enemy.
1 Peter 5:8 KJV
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil.
You must be alert at all times for the sneak attacks of the devil.
James 4:7 KJV
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
When you resist the devil in the name and power of Jesus, he will flee from you. At the name of Jesus, Satan has no power.
Matthew 4:4 KJV
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
But Jesus said, “No! The Scriptures say . . .”
When under attack by the tempter, Jesus relied on the Word of God to resist the lies of his adversary.

"I thought I told you I didn't want to join your super secret boy-band."
"We're actually hiding from the super secret boy-band."
Douxie blinked, looking at Hobie quizzically. Then his brows furrowed and he jabbed an accusing finger at him. "You've got the whole lot of them on your asses, don't you?"
"Yeah."
Rolling his eyes, Douxie playfully shoved Hobie's arm off. Taking that as a cue, the fuzzy winged creature landed on his shoulders. "Alright, lucky for you I've got more than just the bookshop now to hide you in."
"I'm sorry," Miles cut in. "Who are you? Are you like... this world's Spider-Man or something?"
"A Spider-Man of sorts," Hobie corrected. "He's not into that whole thing."
"Because I have rather a lot going on," Douxie said, gazed focused solely on Miles. He stared at him for a long moment, eyes narrowing. "Bloody hell," he glanced at Hobie again. "This is Miles?"
"That's him," Hobie nodded. Then paused for a second, before asking, "You've been seeing again, haven't you?"
"Little things," Douxie pinched his fingers together. "Mostly flashing images, but I amend that he's always there."
"What is he talking about!" Miles demanded.
"Wizard stuff," Hobie leaned on Douxie's free shoulder. "He saw you in a vision a while back."
Silently, the rest of them stared at the two.
"Didn't know what the bloody hell it meant at the time," Douxie said, pulling his phone out of his pocket to (presumably) text someone. "I think I'm starting to figure it out."
"So, what? You can see the future?" Miles asked.
"Eh, kind of." Douxie made a so-so gesture. "It's a new thing."

Biblical Insights:
The Last Days
In these turbulent times, it's crucial to turn to the timeless wisdom of the Bible to understand how people will behave in the last days. Let's delve into the scriptures, particularly the King James Version (KJV), to glean insights into human behavior as prophesied in the Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:1-5: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." Here, Paul warns Timothy of the perilous times ahead. People will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Matthew 24:12: "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Jesus Himself prophesied that as lawlessness increases, the love and compassion among people will diminish. In a world consumed by sin, empathy and kindness will become scarce commodities.
2 Peter 3:3-4: "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." Peter warns us that mockers will arise, questioning the promised return of Christ and indulging in their own desires rather than heeding the signs of the times.
Luke 21:34: "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." Jesus admonishes us to guard our hearts against indulgence, excess, and the distractions of this world, lest we be caught unprepared for His return.
As we reflect on these scriptures, let's consider how they apply to our lives today:
How can we cultivate a spirit of selflessness in a world that exalts selfish ambition?
Are we actively guarding our hearts against the influences of sin and worldliness?
In what ways can we show love and compassion in a society that often lacks both?
Are we living with an eternal perspective, mindful of the imminent return of Christ?
Let's pray: Heavenly Father, grant us the wisdom and discernment to navigate these last days with faith and conviction. Help us to embody the love and compassion of Christ in a world filled with darkness. Keep our hearts focused on Your promises, and may we eagerly await the glorious return of our Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.
