“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”

Praise Jesus! Acts 3 “And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong” Jesus is amazing, and the miracles that He does here on earth never cease. When Jesus does a miracle, let us all witness it, and give praise to the source who is our God Jesus Christ. Let all of the glory go to Jesus Christ and the furtherance of the kingdom.
With that being said, be warned against guilt-based theology. Do not attribute all of the good things to God and all of the bad things to yourself. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Simply give the glory of the miracle to its author, Jesus. What miracles have you witnessed? Have you seen someone converted by a miracle?

If you feel like you aren’t hearing from God, it’s time to open your Bible. God is constantly speaking and He doesn’t want any of us to miss what He’s saying. Take the time to feed your spirit by making it a habit to read the Word of God daily. God will give you the understanding that you need. Remember, He is for you, not against you.

God, I ask for protection over my heart. I want to be willing to let go of things that are not Your will for me so that I can make room for the things that You do prepared for me. Guard me from thoughts, relationships, or beliefs that are not from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today I am finishing up my study of Acts 6. At the end of the passage, they make a curious statement. “And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.”
In Acts 6:15, it describes the reaction of those who were gazing at Stephen, one of the early Christian disciples, after he had been falsely accused of speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.
This description of Stephen's face shining like that of an angel is significant as it reflects the inner peace, confidence, and divine presence that he possessed, even in the midst of false accusations and opposition. It serves as a powerful testimony to his faith and the strength he drew from his relationship with God.
Have you ever been falsely accused? How did you feel about it?

He hung on the cross, cut, bruised, beaten, pierced...in excruciating physical suffering. And then the agonizing weight of the world’s evil converged on him and hung upon his neck..
Not some of it, part of it, most of it. ALL of it. Ever.
On the cross, Jesus suffered greatly. He wasn’t just suffering for us, He was suffering with us. Jesus was fully man, just as He was fully God. God suffered on the cross and felt the same pain a man feels. Jesus wasn’t the victimizer, he was the victim.
Forgiveness is costly suffering. Really costly. And it’s painful. Really painful.
But on the cross, Jesus flipped the world’s system upside down. He ended the cycle once and for all. On the cross, Jesus won through losing, triumphed through defeat, achieved power through weakness and service, and came to richness in life by giving it all away.
N.T. Wright says, “On the cross, the Kingdom of God triumphed over the kingdoms of this world by refusing to join in their spiral of violence. On the cross, Jesus would love his enemies, turn the other cheek, go the second mile.
The effect of giving his own life; the example of love, non-retaliation, the kingdom-way of confronting evil with goodness; and Jesus taking the world’s hatred and anger on himself - all of this is now to be seen around the world.”
Jesus chose to forgive. He could have let the cup pass as he requested. But He didn’t. He knew the excruciating pain and suffering he was about to go through. But He also knew that the debt of the world had to be paid. He knew that forgiveness cost something. And He was willing to suffer to the point of excruciating death to pay that cost.
Jesus’ suffering on the cross and his death not only paid our debt, but it gave us the power to forgive others' debt against us. To follow in Jesus' example of the kingdom-way of confronting hurt, pain, and evil.
