you know what i think is interesting? the way that some people have just flat out decided that aziraphale being in hell during the body swap wasn't even a little bit traumatic.
we obviously know it fucked with crowley (see: the telling jim to jump out a window scene)
but what about aziraphale? sure we have no concrete proof it messed with him, but we also don't have proof to the contrary
"oh but he was just laughing about asking for a rubber duck". when has aziraphale ever actually been upfront about his feelings? he consistently outwardly acts like things are fine even when they very much aren't. i don't know about you but me personally? i wouldn't put it past him to be jokey about it when really it messed him up inside.
sure the holy water isn't painful to HIM. but he's down there knowing full well that it was supposed to be crowley in that bath. it was supposed to be the love of his life melting and dying in that bath. and it was to be put on display for all of hell to watch. in the same way that crowley was up in heaven knowing that gabriel told aziraphale to shut his stupid mouth and die already. the same way crowley knew they were reveling in ending aziraphale's life.
like, idk. i just think that maybe aziraphale also has a lot of trauma to work through and him working through it and his shitty coping mechanisms is part of the growth he needs to undergo in season 3.
There's nothing I can do about it, he says, only to literally wait for her in the dark only 4 chapters later.
Um... Aqua, how is this staying away from Akane? This is the silliest stunt Aqua has pulled in the entire series. He made such a dramatic exit out of Akane's life only to cave in... what? 4 months later?
Even assuming he was stalking Ruby and realized the girls were about to hold an audition... he could've simply waited for the girls to tell Gotanda or Kaburagi the results?
There was zero need for him to talk to Akane that night. Case in point, they don't actually discuss the audition at all! Aqua just asks if it's done and that's that lmao
Despite this, Aqua still sits his ass out in the dark and waits for them to be done. He knows what path Akane will take to go home, and he literally parks himself there and makes sure Akane will notice him. He doesn't even have the decency to hide! He stays right there in plain sight and even talks to her first!
Funniest part is that he tries to play it cool by staying on his phone, but he must have seen Akane coming! Otherwise how did he even know she was walking by behind him? 😂
He can't even come up with a excuse when Akane calls him out on it.
And then when Akane tells him that she's going to stop his plan, aka that she'll keep involving herself in his business and that she may just save him from himself after all, he makes this face!
He's giddy! He doesn't need to stalk her anymore, Akane's keeping herself a part of his life all on her own lmao
Clown behaviour. Boy really wasn't lying when he said he didn't want to let go of the days when Akane was by his side 😂
sorry. cringe ship art. I've been initiated into the william x henry cult. anyway. they're represented here by the characters they portray, as I don't really have a henry design nailed down yet.
I love your art and the earthspark stuff! Do you have any plans on what you will draw next?
thank you !!! <333 usually ideas come to me like visions that i draw immediately, so planning is minimal. that being said, here's a sad megs that popped up in my brain like half an hour ago
How must it have felt for Levi to see Kenny after so many years? The man abandoned him more than half a lifetime ago, a trauma that he’s probably long since shaken off or buried. There’s no doubt in my mind that Kenny wasn’t heavy-handed as a parent - ‘pain is the best teacher’ after all, but still, the man saved him, raised him, and Levi must’ve missed him frequently even amongst the spite.
Levi’s lost so many people throughout his life, again and again and again, that he’s learned to swallow down the loss and bury it so he doesn’t have to think about it. Seeing Kenny again, I imagine that Levi was literally thrown back to the time when he was weak, bruised, and abandoned - small and helpless in the presence of the father figure that had left him. This panel comes much later, when Kenny is breathing his dying breaths, but I imagine it shines a light on how Kenny’s presence must’ve made him feel deep down. It must’ve shaken him to the core, and it’s a testament to how strong he is that Levi was able to not only shake away the shock but also immediately jump into a fight for his life.
There's so much else going on in the moment, people dying left and right, Levi doesn't even have the time to deal with it, or even process how he feels, before Kenny is bleeding out and dying right before his eyes.
When Levi says that pain is the best teacher, I don't think he's necessarily implying the literal interpretation. It's an example, one he knows all too well and learned far too early, but there's another option he learned even earlier. Emotional pain is something he's experienced his whole life, starting with the death of his mother. Kenny probably told him those words at some point, implying physical pain, and Levi used those words to strengthen his resolve, to find a reason for his suffering.
This was sort of a long and rambling train of thought, but I think that's who Levi is at his core. Someone who's lived through and endured the most painful moments known to man. Someone who's known loss, starvation, and abandonment, who's experienced what it's like to have his life balanced on the sharp edge of a blade, but he has also taken all those experiences and grown from them. He endured and became stronger. He learned from all those painful experiences, but at the same time, he doesn't want others to have to endure the same turmoil.
One thing that drives me insane: Geralt's Law of Surprise and rule of 3.
Geralt has a choice three times to claim Ciri as his child - and two times he refuses!
And I also felt that, were he to refuse the third, they would stop running into each other - the Law of Surprise would lose to the Rule of Three. Maybe he could have left her with the family he found her in, find someone else who would take her in!
But he doesn't, he can't, not after hearing she has died and meeting his mother who left him, and then miraculously seeing her alive again.
The real reason the Ides of March coincides with pi (π) day is to express the stabbing pain Greeks feel every time an Anglophone makes a pun post based on pronouncing π as "pie" in English 😭
what's your most out-there work experience? not the best or the worst, just the weirdest. for me it was this bad storm that made an apartment complex nearby catch fire (nobody got hurt though so it's okay). whenever we got a break me and the other cashiers would crowd the windows to watch the fire trucks
gai is probably one of the first people to realize that tobi is obito and he just watches kakashi's reaction so carefully because he knows how much it will crush him
