I really really hate being demiromantic.
I know that I'm capable of feeling attraction to people. I know that I can feel love. but it takes months to even a year (or multiple years) for those feelings to develop.
from what I've seen from alloromantic people, they experience attraction so much faster than I could ever. and it's frustrating seeing people fall for someone they just met while I'm stuck waiting.
the people I get crushes on are always close friends. that adds on the stress of absolutely ruining friendships because of my feelings.
I want someone to care abut me, and hold me, and love me. but it feels wrong to not have those feelings back for that person. of course it would feel nice, I would feel something, but it's not the same.
and the fact that I'm not asexual is just another thing that makes it scary to be intimate with someone. because I don't want to be used, that thought is terrifying.
