This idea has been sitting in my brain for months now and I couldn’t keep it from you any longer:
The children’s book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie but instead, it’s If You Give a Sokka a Suki and the whole book is just Sukka doing adorable/fun/silly Sukka stuff together 🥰🥰🥰
Okay, this idea has now been sitting in my brain for months now, although I took it in a slightly different direction than your initial concept...
If You Give a Sokka a Suki
If you give a Sokka a Suki, he's going to ask to learn to fight.
When you teach him to fight, he'll probably help you defend your village.
When he's finished, he'll apologize for underestimating you.
Then, he'll blush when you forgive him with a kiss.
After you kiss him, he'll want to visit you again on Kyoshi Island, and he'll be heartbroken when you're not there.
But that just means he'll be extra excited when he sees you again.
He might get carried away and act all over-protective.
He may even end up feeling conflicted and guilty about his feelings for you.
You'll have to give him a little space to figure out what he wants.
He'll act like nothing happened the next day, so you'll apologize for crossing a line.
When you tell him you were just looking out for him, he'll get so excited he'll want to kiss you.
He'll kiss you.
After he kisses you, he's going to think about you when you're gone.
And then he'll want to rescue you when he finds out you're imprisoned by the Fire Nation.
Which means he'll need your badass parkour skills.
He'll bring you with him when he escapes the air temple,
and he'll make you a sand sculpture to show how much he loves you.
But then Prince Jerkbender will remind him that they have to defeat the Fire Lord.
So, he'll come up with a plan to help the Avatar.
And chances are, if he rides into battle against the Fire Nation...
he's going to want a Suki to go with him.

2. A headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!
Pretty much @wishingforatypewriter's entire backstory for the Republic City triads. At first I was trying to make up my own mind and stories but theirs is so good I just ate it all hook line and sinker. They're now my official source for the history of the tirads, minus a few small differences on how Yasuko Sato fits in.
3. A character that the fandom has helped you appreciate.
So many, but the first one that comes to mind is Suki. I never disliked Suki, but I was very neutral on her. Persuasive and talented Suki fans like @boomerangguy and @myargalargan have really made me appreciate her more.

the words to keep you (which I've just finished!!🥳) is definitely my number one favorite right now. This fic has been a labor of love for nearly 3 years, and it's finally finished and edited and fully published and I'm so proud of myself for getting it done and out there. 56k words of pure Sukka pining (and thirsting 😏) and the longest, most elaborate thing I've written to date.
The Way Old Friends Do is another definite fave. Written as a gift for @boomerangguy prompted by one of his favorite tropes, I had so much fun writing it, and I have so much fun whenever I re-read it. Sukka best friends-to-lovers and a rather tame interpretation of the "only one bed" trope, I just love the way all the Gaang friendships are portrayed, all the little nuances of their interactions and their personalities. And then there's that sweet, sweet transition from the closeness and intimacy of deep friendship to the blushing heat of new romance, which has some personal significance for me as well. 😉
At Least They Don't Call Me Dumpling Weed is a special one. Another gift fic that I wrote for @pidgeapodge for a solstice exchange, the prompt asked for family fun with Suki and Sokka's kids, and somehow that catapulted me into a realm of writing way outside my usual: 1st person POV, told from the perspective of a young teen, who by the way is an OC, and which focuses primarily on her life and her relationship with her (OC) siblings and cousins and only contains little crumbs of Sukka. The whole time I was writing it I was like "what am I doing???" but I reread it recently and was super pleased with it. I love the voice of the POV character, I love her interactions with her cousin Bumi, I love the little Sukka crumbs, and I love the character development and the overall message.
the longest night's embrace is, once again, a solstice exchange gift fic and, once again, outside my usual comfort zone. And for that reason it's also special to me. This is a Kya x Hakoda x Bato fic with lots of very soft family feels, and I really enjoyed the challenge of writing not only a ship other than Sukka but a poly ship at that. I'm very happy with how it came out, how well it all works together and the delicate intimacy between all the characters. Also baby Sokka. 🥹
Infinite Limits (or Sokka and the Secret Tunnel) is...an absolutely ridiculous fic, but another one that I think is super fun. A very awkward Sukka first time fic, I love this one because of the less-than-perfect portrayal of losing one's virginity and because I think Sokka's voice in this one is so engaging and funny. I adore writing Sokka, but I definitely struggle sometimes with his style and sense of humor, and I think I did a decent job in this one.

Hey! So after a few months on tumblr I have recognized you to be an intelligent and free-thinking individual willing to speak your mind, and I’d like to open up a little discourse on the widely popular Zukki ship, if that’s alright.
The reason I’m asking you in particular is because you’re a Zuko realist—something this fandom could use a lot more of—who sees the character as he actually is in canon, flaws included, instead of the soft, selfless, over-idealized paragon-of-virtue who has practically hijacked the character we got in the show. And I’m interested to know why you ship Zukki in spite of this, especially considering his possessiveness with Mai (like in The Beach) and how that would work with the dynamic of a throuple. Hope that doesn’t come off as a loaded question! I just want to get your thoughts/reasons behind shipping it. (And you’re welcome to just PM me instead rather than answer this as an ask, idc either way). Thanks!

So I am not the biggest Zukki shipper but I absolutely ship them. The main reason is because I want Suki to have two boyfriends and because Sokka is to way awesome to get replaced by Zuko or even compared to him. Plus polynamory is awesome too and I figured instead of disliking zukka I can just like zukki which to you may seem weird now but to me is like a very big deal and has a whole other philosophy behind it that I do not have time to explain right now. Aaah
I liked zuki's dynamic in the comics and although I don't really ship them I like it. If you mix that with some romance you get some really cool stuff.
I am getting off track
One of the main reasons I started shipping zukki is because zukka just seemed off. They didn't have any chemistry and their interractions in chanon were just not fruity like everyone claims so I started searching for reasons to ship them but there was litherally nothing they had incommon then suki.
They just can not be in a relationship. There's no chemistry, no balance or equality.
One of the reasons I ship zukki is because in zukka there is litherally no balance.
So I figured that Suki is the perfect balance.
Don't belive everything I say because I am not good invested into Zuko's and Sokka's sides aka philosophy and character. What I can ruffly say is that while Zuko is impulsive Sokka can be impulsive which isn't a good combination. Zuko runs into battle head on while Sokka plans it out to litheral perfection forgetting to plan the enemies plan and what could go wrong. He sees half of the picture not the whole while Zuko doesn't see at all. Zuko has anger issues and Sokka is the protector of the gaang which means that Zuko is a potential treat because of his "anger issues". Zuko is reckless while Sokka is partially prepared. (this is all before and during the boiling rock by the way)
So here suki comes in. Sukka is litherally the best ship. Suki is the one that sees the full picture, the one that is calm and flexible af but still has enough chaos in mind to take over a warship and crash it against another. Suki see's Sokka's plan and goes with it until it starts failing, where she takes action. If suki was there for the invasion the plan would have worked since she too is a great leader.
Now suki and zuko. A direct comparison is the way she and zuko faught (because they are so similar you could forget the differences in no time): While Suki and Zuko run into action. Suki stepping on the prisoners heads to get to the warden and Zuko jumping off the ledge before getting caught by Sokka on the gondala. While for Zuko it was completely predictable. He runs headfirst into stuff for suki it was a wow moment because it was so unpredictable. Her taking the upper hand in the fight against Ty Lee? Also inpredictable and the whole time it just followes trough flawlessly. Everything she does is flawless unlike Sokka's invasion plan and a lot of Zuko's attempts to catch Aang. As if every move of her is calculated. The reason she got captured by Azula? Surprise attack. She didn't have enough time to plan everything and Appa was there too making it even worse for them. But she shoos of Appa. She knew this was a loosing fight.
That's why she is such a good addition to Sokka and Zuko too. They balance eachother out.
I mean Sukka and Zuki balance eachother out.
So the reason I ship zukki is because I ship sukka and zuki and figured that the three of them in a relationship would be cool plus there's some content for them out there so yea. I still preferrer sukka and sukitara though. Zukki is like a neutral ship. You know? A ship you aren't invested in but also have nothing against?
Yea... Suki would be good for Zuko because she could beat the toxic behaviours out of Zuko. I hate jealous people that actually act out their jealous. And I can imagine Suki doing that to. Because its Suki cmon. She wanted to kill sokka the second he spoke. She would kick that misogynistic behaviour up his ass and out (and yes Zuko is misagonistic sometimes I don't have to explain it and I won't but he is. There is enough proof)
I personally started hc it because I liked the idea of Zuki in the comics and dukka is awesome. Zuko and sokka are just best friends that kiss sometimes and cuddle with suki because she is a sweetheart and the best cuddler ever lmao.
I don't know if answered the question because I got off track a lot and this is the third day and I am still writing it so yeaaa...
Sukka is amazing zukki is cool and yea. But I love the idea of sukitara and sokkaang. Just because I can't stand the bitches that say Katara is straight. Like... No? She's bi. You either have two queer siblings or two straight siblings.
(also I ship them because it gives me a reason not to hate zuko which I am struggling with. I don't want to hate him so I ship him with my favourite character. That way I can lie to myself and stay realistic with jis character)

He wasn’t a prince. He wasn’t a man.
He was her mission.
The task was simple enough. Get close to the target with little to no suspicion and get out. No fancy gimmicks, just simple and to the point.
Suki eyed the prince from afar, making sure to keep him within range, but remain inconspicuous. Her stride was short and quiet, allowing her to slip through the shadows easily.
She was only a few meters away from him, now. His laugh echoed the practically empty hall, all she had to do was wait for his servant to step away.
The click of a door and the prince’s speedy stride told Suki that he was alone, and in a few moments, she could make her move.
Three, two, one.
Suki spun out of the corners he hid in and grabbed the target. He was bigger than she expected, and stronger.
But she still had the upper hand.
With a twist of his arm and a sweep at his ankles, the prince fell in the dark corridor, and the assassin pulled her signature knife on the man.
But when she stared into his piercing blue eyes and saw the fear disappear, she hesitated.
His eyes. They weren’t heartless or ruthless. They were kind. She never looked into the eyes of the one she killed before, but even if she did, it wouldn’t matter. His eyes stopped the world.
“Go ahead,” he said softly. “Complete your mission.”
He was letting her win, letting her kill him. An easy prey.
Then she saw his eyes again, and his voice made her chest swell and her breathing hitch.
So Suki did the only thing she could do, that she knew how to do at that time.
She ran away.

16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)
Hmmm... I think the newest thing I've tried recently is the texting format fic I wrote for Sukka Meet-Cute Weekend. Which was several months ago now. And right now I'm working on this really new concept of finishing my multi-chapter WIP 😅😅😅
There are a couple things I've been wanting to try for a while, but I haven't gotten around to them yet. One is a true epistolary, which lends itself well to Sokka and Suki's long-distance relationship. The other is, I'd like to try writing something scary. Not, like, horrific and full of whump, but fun and spooky. I don't have any ideas for premises or anything yet, though.
19. Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe ‘too often’, trope you can’t get enough of?)
Ummm...Sukka? lol
There’s probably things I do all the time that I’m not aware of, but I really am trying to be novel with my word choices and stuff.
I think what gets repeated in my writing a lot is my stylistic choices and headcanons.
Like, I put my Kyoshi Warrior OCs in every story I can think of. 😅 So far they’ve appeared in “count herself among them” (of course! that was their origin story), “fumble around the failing stars,” and “losing all my cool.” They will also play a sizeable role in “the words to keep you” and my to-be-named post-war WIP.
Also, Sukka’s nicknames for each other. I will keep using “babe,” “love,” “Suks,” and “big guy” until the cows come home!
And my gratuitous use of metaphors and imagery... I love trying to say things without saying them, which is why it takes me so damn long to write anything. 🙃
21. What other medium do you think your story would work well as? (film, webcomic, animated series?)
This is such an interesting question! And definitely depends on the fic. I think, like...my road trip AU series could work as a web comic, since each story is such a short little morsel. “the words to keep you” would work well as a movie, since I’m basically trying to write a romcom there, whereas “hear the waves hit the cliff” could work as a film (fancy-finger-waggling ~film~) because it’s all about zooming in on specific shots and using the environment to tell the story. I won’t do all my fics lol, but those are the ones that kinda jumped out at me.

Putting the burning image of Opal and the Beifong twins in Kyoshi outfits that Ive had in my head ever since introduced to the Baatar Sr is a Sukka kid theory by @boomerangguy my idea is that Opal wanted to learn to fight from gran gran Suki and Wing and Wei'we cant let Opal be the coolest' Beifong wanted to try too. Asami Sato's Job in a Modern AU
Borrowing a page out of @boomerangguy's book to speculate a little. Yes, Asami Sato is CEO of Future Industries, so it's easy to project that into a modern AU. CEO Asami, VP of Engineering Asami, generic businesslady Asami , and mechanic Asami are all find and good. I've written a fair bit of them myself. But Asami is a talented young woman, so let's explore a few lesser-seen futures for her.
How about head of fashion label Asami? This career combines her considerable business sense and understanding of people with her classic style. Asami is at heart a designer, and there's no reason she can't turn her talent for mecha suits towards more comfortable clothing. In fact, we even see a little of this in canon, as by S4 her father's clunky electric glove has been modified to both slimly fit her hand and match the colors of her outfit. The devil wears Prada? So last season. The devil wears Sato, now.
But what if we take her out of the business world entirely? There's considerable promise in fighter pilot Asami, who uses her sharp mind and quick reactions to blast enemies into the stratosphere. Athletic and fearless, not to mention already a pilot, it's easy to imagine her barrel rolling around strapped to a set of big-ass rockets. Consider also a future-forward version of this with spacecraft pilot Asami! Those aliens never stood a chance. Locked and loaded, this career happily pairs well with other military personnel.
Yet why stop there? A woman who can take on a huge company at 19 has clearly got leadership skills in spades. So what about president Asami? She's got the brains, she's got the looks, and she's persuasive and good with people. She can certainly fund a campaign, and is also able to bend Varrick's hand backwards until he does what she says. I'd vote for her. So should you.
Of course, Asami is also the only character in LOK we ever see reading for fun (the others, Jinora and Opal, are studying). So what if this brainy babe became cutthroat publisher Asami? The Sato publishing house is well-placed to compete for top content across the United Republic, and Asami's discerning mind would be excellent at sourcing the good stuff from the garbage. Never mind my headcanon that she has a taste for bloody low-brow thrillers with titles like "It Came in the Night" and "Bloodbenders." Asami knows what sells.
