as always, pick and choose or ignore, i totally don't mind - i hope your week has been good and if not, that the weekend gives you some respite! (or at the minimum some yummy veggies? lol'd hard at your tags about broccoli bc i couldn't help but think about Ava making that comment about her asshole in chapter two lololol)

hard relate on the crazy week because that has been me this past week and this is genuinely the first day i feel like i have room to breathe lmao i hope you’ve been having a gentler, slower time this week though! 🥺 right, ok, on to the questions 😂

1. just like,,, how complex of a character she is. in the show, you know she loves life, you know that she’s a glutton for experiences, you know that she wants to live more than anyone else. but when you really get down to how much she’s had to survive to get to that point—all the pain and suffering and grief—you can’t help but love her more. especially, when i had to ask myself how she must’ve felt. that… was an experience lmao

2. yes. ava had to shop for underwear at some point…?

3. GRANDPOP OLIVER! i was genuinely so sad i couldn’t find a way to get him into the story, but in my head, he’s alive and kicking and prone to bursting into tears in the presence of his pseudo-granddaughter. ugh, i wanted to write that reunion 😭

4. this is gonna sound nerdy, but with ava’s age and her mom’s, i figured it was the song that would make the most sense considering what music was like at the time. I Will by The Beatles was also a contender though.

5. ouija board is a horrible idea in a huge ass compound where there’s no other person for miles and miles 😂 as for the uh other things, i’d say they’d have a conversation about it but bea would prolly be like “who knows whose bodily fluids that leather has soaked up”

6. genuinely have no idea 💀 i was like “oh they prolly need a car but also no one to do maintenance here so,,, maybe suzanne knows how” and just went with it 😂

7. yes!!! ava would teach her how and they have fun with it while they google recipes and the cultural background of each dish together. i’m thinking bea would make her waffles from scratch and ava cries into it because she used to have it with her mom 🥹

8. aikido is one. i remember doing research for that for sixth to the ninth hour lmao as for the others, imma say she’s prolly a jack of all trades type (though this is more because i don’t know which to pick. she seems like she could do it all)

9. actually i did think about this 😂 bea definitely didn’t mean to. it’s just the door gave up being a door and it didn’t close properly. she didn’t think to check because she didn’t expect the door to… not door 💀

10. a hell of a lot. so much so that bea put her phone on do not disturb as soon as ava got back with the groceries 😂

About the AU

So what is Warrior Cats x Kingdom Hearts AU is about?

Well its about Kingdom Hearts but the characters are kitties, following the sames rules as in Warrior Cats such as clans, warrior code, starclan, etc... Why? Idk I love both universe so much so I decided to mix both!

Just a little reminder; this AU uses my OCs, so its kinda an AU of an AU? But it's not driving too far from the games, except that KH4 don't exist in the AU (at least for now)

Also there will be some; canon x canon, oc x canon and oc x oc ships, so don't even complain about that, you have been warned. If you have any problems with it, keep it to yourself.

!!Besides some warnings!!: This AU is pretty much realistic injuries wise, such as death, blood etc... If you're familiar with Warrior Cats you know they don't spare gruesome details about character's death. *ahem* Tigerstar *ahem*

So if you're pretty much sensible to this I'll be using the tags: #blood, #gore or #death, so make sure to block it in your settings! :)

It should be all you need to know ig, rules for submissions/ask box and characters designs are under the cut!

When and how did you start making g/t content, and how do I do it too?

Well, Imma be honest with y'all, the legit reason I finally decided to buckle down and write a fic with fearplay and giant monsterboys was because I fucking adored @freshpoof03 and her content. But because I was basically a lurker in the g/t tag, there really wasn't much we could talk about...? I didn't have any content to share with her, even though I had plenty of ideas.

So I was like fuck it, I'm gonna get my shit out there so I finally have something to relate to other creators with, and after work one day (when my wife and I were still in college and doing a study sessions every night) and whipped up the first chapter of Star Wars Rip Off

My advice to aspiring content creators is to just...do it. Do it and share it and sing it from the rooftops because we NEED fresh blood in the tag. Deadass if you write/draw/whatever anything you can spam my inbox with it so I can go shove it everyone's face too. Even if you only get one diehard fan, I assure you that can be enough inspiration to keep going until that one fan becomes two, then three, then before you know it you've got your own little following (:

And experiment, too! I was a film major with a certificate in screenwriting, so I have a pretty solid storytelling/writing background, but it helps to play around with styles. Try out fearplay, try out fluff, try out an AU of your favorite TV show, try out fantasy. Write what YOU want because I assure you no one else is going to specifically hit on all those good tropes and character traits you want considering our fandom is so ding dang small.

Firefighter AU (again)

It’s been a while since I posted anything about this AU, but I got some inspiration and finished new short story. This time about Virgil and Remus briefly discussing their jobs and characters. I think you can read it separately and still get what’s going on, but if anyone’s interested I’ll link previous related posts.

The phone rang for about half a second before Virgil picked it up and gave his practiced introduction. It was calm and quick. Then he fell silent and let the woman on the other side of the line speak, listening carefully and responding with a few instructions. In an even voice he explained that the team has already been sent, that the fire engine was on its way. That there was no need to panic and that someone else has already called and now the only thing she should do is patiently wait, sit at a safe distance from the flaming car, and keep him updated if anything bad happened before the brigade arrived.

He made sure the woman was safe, said goodbye, and let the conversation end.

Then he leaned deeper into his chair with a heavy sigh.

“I have a question!”, the loud yell right behind Virgil nearly sent him flying to the floor. He glared at Remus, clutching his headset and trying to readjust it before it slid off his ears. Why was he still surprised by these random outbursts? He should have gotten used to them weeks ago.

“What kind of question”, he asked in a tired voice very much aware that getting mad at Remus would only make his behaviour more annoying. Or worse… it’d make Remus upset... “The one I answered forty nine times already or something new?”

“A new one!”, Remus beamed sitting on a spinning office chair and moving closer to Virgil. “And if you’re exaggerating anyway you could’ve said sixty nine. That would’ve cost you nothing.”

“It would also cost you nothing to not say that right now, and yet you did”, was a slightly drained response.

"I always do!”, Remus giggled in a surprisingly cute way and leaned even closer, still remembering to not push Virgil too far from the desk. They were both currently at work, so distracting his co-worker too much and slowing down his response for even a few seconds could have potentially tragic consequences. Remus was definitely a careless person, but not when it came to other people’s lives. That fact was often shocking even to those who knew Remus for a very long time.

Virgil lifted an eyebrow making a “go on” kind of gesture with his right hand.

“Okay”, Remus started excitedly sounding as if he was trying to hype himself up to do something difficult. “How do you do it?”

Virgil lifted his second eyebrow in a silent question.

“I mean: how do you stay calm during the calls. Why do you even work here? I can scare you by saying “boo” in quiet monotone. And then you talk with panicking people who just crashed their car into the lamppost like it’s nothing!”

To Virgil’s credit he put a lot of effort to making his brain not fixate on the “Why do you even work here?” part of Remus’ words and not see it as a kind suggestion to fuck off. He mostly failed, but the intensions were there.

“I- I’m not sure”, he responded carefully after a moment filled with sounds of a chair squeaking under Remus who was usually unable to stay still for more than four seconds. “I have a separate… headspace for work, I suppose. I dunno how to explain it. Just like… switching to a different mindset when it’s something professional. Don’t you have the same thing with putting down the fire? I assume you don’t stare creepily at other people when you enter the building that’s in flames”, he added with a small smile, reminiscing their first encounter.

“Usually I don’t”, Remus answered with slightly disturbing, cheerful honesty that Vigil learnt to expect from his chaotic co-worker. “But, yeah… you’re right. I can be calm when I’m professional. And I’m way less tempted to taste fire when I’m fighting it. You know? Like… you don’t think so much about eating a bear when it’s chasing you down the extremely narrow path where trees are getting closer and closer until the forest gets very dark and there is no way to escape anymore.” Remus finished a rushed sentence with wide, light-hearted smile that lit up his face not unlike a lighter with which he almost singed his moustache on regular basis.

Virgil blinked at him and slowly shook his head.

“O- One thing at a time, okay?”, he answered finally. “Let’s leave the bear out of this for now. I know I shouldn’t ask, but did you just say that you’re ‘tempted to taste fire’?”

“Yeah!”, Remus answered with enthusiasm sending Virgil another bright smile that somehow still looked nice despite some unhinged glint always present in his green eyes. “You can make so many tasty things with fire. Like grilled vegetables! Or…”

For some reason, the fact that Remus was vegan never failed to astound the confused operator. Maybe his dietary choices would be less unexpected if he also didn’t rate every dead animal he ever saw on the street on a scale from ‘probably inedible, not enough fur’ to ‘no one touch that! It’s my lunch’.

“…or potato chips!”, Remus finished a long list of foods. ”Those are kinda made with fire?”

“…yes?” Virgil said carefully, not really sure where this line of logic was even going.

“See?! Fire makes tasty things. Ergo, hypothesis, fire is tasty too!”

“That’s… that’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard today…”

“Well, jokes on you, because I’ve said something much more stupid only twenty minutes ago. You just weren’t there!”

“I’m not sure this defence is as strong as you think…”, Virgil sighed, annoyed at himself for a tiny bit of fondness that seeped into his voice. “Anyway! Please don’t eat fire.”

“Fine”, Remus said tipping his head back with a huff. “You’re so boring.”

“And you’re a dumbass. I can’t believe I was scared of you at first…”

“You were?!”, Remus asked delighted despite knowing this information before. It was always nice to hear that he actually frightened someone, even if it was a guy scared of drinking with a straw for the fear of chocking on it one day. Or maybe especially if it was that guy.

“Shut up…”

Surprisingly, Remus did fell quiet. They sat in silence for a few minutes glad that the phone stayed silent as well. It was nice to have a few minutes of peace and calm before someone else needed help. It meant that people were safe and it let them just appreciate each other’s company in the half-empty office.

“By the way… I do get the whole ‘work mindset’ thing”, Remus continued suddenly as if they never stopped or changed the topic. “It’s like I have a separate brain and personality that kick in when it comes to these things. I see everything differently.”

Virgil nodded in understanding.

“I’m less scared when I know I have to help someone.”

“Exactly!”, Remus exclaimed, once again almost making Virgil fall out of his chair. “I have that too, but I become more serious instead! So you’re a coward, but a protective one. Got it.”

“Get out of my office.”

Remus laughed and didn’t make a single move to exit the room. He sat more comfortably in his chair, reaching into a pocket for his favourite lighter with luminescent tentacles painted over sparkly black background. It was one of the most “Remus” things Virgil has ever seen.

The next stretch of silence didn’t last as long as Virgil would have wanted. After about a minute his phone rang again, distracting his from very vivid visions of the firehouse burning to the ground because of Remus’ negligence. He gave his colleague a brief smile and promptly answered the call, his head immediately clear – the thoughts about anything irrelevant temporarily forgotten. Few seconds later the alarm went off and the dishevelled firefighter jumped off the chair with a serious expression. He gave Vigil last look seeing his focused eyes and calm, patient face. Then he switched his own brain into appropriate mode and run out of the room towards Roman and the rest of his brigade.

i wanted to say something related with the thing about the plain repetitive fics earlier when the notification popped up but was busy and in a horrible humor 🥴🥴 so imma say it now

we as consumers (the ones who only read) are most at fault here i think bc the writers always ask and the ones with beautifully written 5k words almost beg for readers to interact/reblog so it spreads and gets to other people(i am at fault here too im a social anxiety ridden person) and because of this lack of interaction the "shitty" or plain or whatever gets more interactions... on other side there are also lazy ass people that don't wanna read 5k words (their loss lol) and stick with the plain ooc shitty cookie cutter stories, the ones who get the spotlight unfortunately...

sorry for the long ass rant, got lost in the middle and wrote it with a baby crying and screaming and laughing by my side lol, hope ur having a good day/evening and taking care of you and your baby💕💕

For the five hundred and fifty two years I've been on this site I will say there was a definitive switch between supporting content creators (of any media) and now expecting things to be spoon fed them in the simplest way without feeling an obligation to return the favor with even the meager of feedback. I wouldn't say it went down hill when Tumblr did it's purge bc honestly it was going downhill before that. It was like one month people were excited to share their hyperfixations and fandoms. And now no one wants to do anything bc of the cringe worthy puritan culture that has swept through most social medias. This focus on likes only, popularity and being a god send famous person is just so fucking weird to me. Anymore anyone is so afraid to even entertain the idea that they would consume something "unsanitary" and then get in trouble for it that it's reached its way to the creators. Many have stopped bc of hate. Many have stopped for fear of hate. Just as many have stopped bc its just not worth it anymore. It's frankly sad bc now "trendy" things are the only thing that sells. Tik tok reaction crap, daddy kinks, uwu sub babies, etc. This very tiny box of what's "ok" has doubled down on so many people just straight up quitting. These things that have been deemed "acceptable" while other things get demonized.

And this goes for non sexual items too. Wanna write best friends au? Unrealistic, bull crap, "never happens". But twelve dozen people wanna write a mafia au? Great, brilliant, "totally plausible". A lot of people complain about the sexual factors of fandoms but honestly fluff is just as looked down on unless it's exactly how this mass decided it to be. It use to be in fandoms you could find so much. Oh my god there was so so so much you could find. If you thought of it, you could find it. But now its the same idea regurgitated fifty times. I get people enjoying what they enjoy (I for one enjoy friendships and mutual pining and such) but the fact that everything else gets shoved to the side bc the majority doesn't "want it" and then others are "too afraid" to engage frankly means more and more writers are going to leave and not come back. And it's sad really bc so many writers are wonderful and great but no one wants to support them. I understand being anxiety riddled. I didn't start posting even online half a decade after I started writing. I kept everything on a note app and interacted with no one when I did get brave enough to post online in the small fandoms I was in. So the anxiety thing I get but at some point you have to decide if it's worth more to lurk and watch your content creators and friends leave. Or to support them and others.

Make entirely new blog. Give no defining traits to yourself. Don't even have to talk to anyone if you don't want to. But reblogging (with proper tags) means a million different things to artists of all kind. You don't even have to leave a comment. Simply reblogging something and making sure it can be spread through proper tags in the fandom means the world to creators and it's so small but keeps us going. I do it here on my blog all the time. I'm not an avid reader but I adore art and reblog the crap out of characters I might not even like. Just so that artist knows "hey, someone saw this and they want more people to see it bc its amazing"

This isn't meant to be mean spirited or a lecture but frankly Tumblr is going to loose a lot of its media and its sad to watch it go down the drains. But on the brightside ao3 is still wonderful and a heavenly place to post fics! The traffic is wonderful and to any fic writers who haven't signed up for it I really suggest it. All the fandoms I've posted in so far have been really engaging and lots of people even comment which is just such a serotonin boost. If you haven't started cross posting on ao3 I highly suggest it

“No,” you interrupted, voice quivering with all the raw, suppressed emotion you had hidden away from Johnny, your parents, the entire world for so, so long. You knew Jaehyun meant well, but not a single molecule in your body wanted to be near anything even remotely related to your fiancé. “I don’t- I don’t want to go back there.”

The word ‘home’ didn’t even cross your mind as thoughts of your sad, lonely apartment flashed through your head. At this point, you didn’t even have an emotionally stable relationship or feeling in which you could consider a ‘home’, much less a physical abode. Queasy were you, resting heavily against the cool metal of the bar counter and you all but whispered, “I… don’t want to be alone while he fucks another nameless bitch. Not again.”

Tears streamed shamelessly down your made-up cheeks and part of you knew you should have been embarrassed. You had never before considered yourself an emotional drunk. Then again, you had only ever gotten drunk by yourself. The shrill voice of your mother entered your brain. Emotion in public? Disgusting. You are my offspring, you are above that, and I don’t ever want to see that from you, understand?

Never before had the young CEO of Jung Resources seen you so sad, so broken. Granted, it didn’t say much because though the two of you had been raised in the same circle of spoiled children, you always had some sort of cold facade up around others that hardly faltered unless you had ingested copious amounts of alcohol. In all honesty, had your father not arranged an agreement with Seo Enterprises, part of Jaehyun had grown up expecting to spend his whole life with you. And deep down, it hurt him to see you like this.

So he stooped down until he was only mere centimetres from the tip of your reddened nose. With a few fingers, he brushed the tear-dampened hair from out of your face and behind your ear. Dejected, wide eyes gazed up at him through unshed tears. A faint smile graced his lips at your miserable state, a complete opposite from the raging inferno that burned in the pit of his stomach. Cupping your chin in his hands, he lifted your face, pressing a meaningful kiss to the tip of your nose. In that moment, nothing burned brighter than his hatred for your shitbag of a fiancé. You didn’t deserve this pain. Jaehyun pulled away. “Who said you were going to be alone tonight, sweetheart?”

Who said you were going to be alone tonight, sweetheart? Anything said in complete confidence could cut through your hazy mind. But, the moment your mind processed the simple question, his lips covered yours just as they fell open.

You should have felt guilty. You should have felt terrible. Here you were, so goddamn close to cheating on your fiancé in a cheap bar on the outskirts of town… and yet you felt more alive than you had in years and all you could think was that Jaehyun tasted heavenly. Like a combination of the spearmint gum he always kept in stock and a Lindt 70% cocoa dark chocolate bar. You doubted you tasted any good with the aftertaste of beer in your mouth, but he didn’t seem to mind. He tugged you closer to his body, tilting his head to gain better access to your tongue. After a moment, he pulled away, deep dark eyes searching you… almost for permission?

For a split second, you thought critically about your options. You could… refuse the man so very willing to give you his everything, even when you were at your lowest point and go back to the penthouse unhappy, intoxicated, and alone… or you could give in to your starved desires and reduce yourself to the animalistic urges running wild, scrambling your brain just like they did your fiancé. One look at Jaehyun, the boy you had known since diapers, the man who would never mistreat you like Johnny, and your mind was made up. You crushed your lips to his with an aggressiveness you didn’t realize was housed within you, immediately feeling the smile work its way up to his lips.

Within moments, Jaehyun slapped a ridiculously large bill on the counter of the ball, told the bartender to ‘keep the change’ and scooped you up into his arms, heart racing faster than his Tesla could accelerate.

All you remembered from the car ride was a flurry of drunken touches and more than a few repressed moans filling the back of the limo. The two of you stumbled out of the car, one of your companion’s arms wrapped around your waist, holding your body secure against his. For once, you were glad the apartment was empty as Jaehyun wasted no time in stumbling blindly towards your vacant bedroom.

You fell back into the plush comforters, his hands scaling up and down you body before carefully stripping you of the pretty dress you had carelessly thrown on. It wasn’t then that you heard the front door open. Rather, the squeal of the door sounded oh so conveniently the moment Jaehyun propped himself above you on his hands and knees, lowering himself down to eliminate the gap between you.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Jaehyun?” You didn’t think you had ever heard Johnny’s voice go so deep, so ominous, so dangerous before. Breathless, hot, and embarrassed, you knew you should have pushed yourself away from your fiancé’s rival… But all you could do was cower under Jaehyun’s shirtless body, swallowing the moans threatening to spill from your lips as he slowly, teasingly eased his fingers out of you.

“What does it look like, Johnny boy?” Jaehyun sat back on his haunches, carding a careless hand through his tousled hair as he narrowed his eyes at the shocked figure standing in the doorway of your bedroom. A condescending, shit-eating grin spread over his lips and he pushed himself casually off the bed. You pulled the sheets up to cover your scantily clad body, despite the fact both of the men had now seen you with far less on. “I was keeping your fiancée company while you were out - how did she say it? Oh, right - fucking some other bitch.”

Johnny sneered at the man standing between the two of you. “That right there-” he paused, shifting an accusatory finger from you to Jaehyun and back to you. “Whatever’s going on between me and Y/N… that’s none of your business, pretty boy. So, I’d love it if you would kindly get the fuck outta my apartment before I beat you into next week…” Johnny trailed off, tossing his shoes to the floor with more emotion you had ever seen from him.

Jaehyun released a deep chuckle, not intimidated in the slightest. “Wow, I didn’t realize you knew her name, Mr. Seo.”

Hi, none of you probably asked, but I feel as if it should be said that I DID make another Bendystraw AU I just never called it that because that's not really the focal point of the story.

Now you may be saying, "Yikes, why didn't you mention it???" To which I say:

I did mention it.

But the way I wrote that post made it sound like I was fucking with you.

I was not, in fact, fucking with you.

So basically I AM going through with that AU. I said it was going to be a BATIM/CUPHEAD crossover thingy and I do plan on going through with it. I don't know how many comic pages I'll post per post but it'll def be more than one at a time. At the moment I'm thinking like four pages per post to make it easy on me but I might change that.

I have most of the plot outlined for the comic and I'm currently finalizing the designs for the characters and OCs in the comic.

I don't have a title card for this AU so Imma just let y'all know, the name of the AU is Anonymous Crime and that's what all the comic posts will be tagged to make it easy for you guys ^^ anything related to AC will probably be tagged something different to separate it from the comic posts, idk what but you'll know when I release the character designs for AC

Fun new meme here! Write 3-5 things a new rp partner (or those who want to be) should know about you and tag 3-5 people! it should be related to rp and not to other interests. (also don’t write you are a dork/gremlin/etc. this is Tumblr, of course, you are)

1. I love plotting. You will hear me say this over and over and over again. I will plot things out the ass to the ends of the world and back. I would rather plot for days and days and then get a starter or thread going instead of just ‘winging it’ although sometimes it’s very necessary if neither of us can come up with something. However what we plot off the dash doesn’t always have to be what happens on the dash. I love exploring in depth relationships of all flavors, whether they work or not, I need at least 20 AUs, like I’m here for it all day everyday, but it’s all just talk. Nothing is set in stone unless we both agree and I will most likely not bring what we plot to the dash unless we agree about it first. For example, just because we talk about a ship or the potential and all it has to offer, doesn’t mean I don’t want to start from square one on the dash to see if we can even get it to the place we had talked about prior, ya dig? Not everything I plot/talk about may be the same thing my muse wants once in the actual situation even if I’m really excited for one particular thing, the moment my muse gets in that situation, he might fuckin’ bounce.

2. plotting gives me way more to work with when it comes to actually writing drafts. I usually hate unplotted starters or threads because more often than not it’s just... ‘stop staring at me’ which is the most droll starter possible and we can all do better. Normally I will reach out to people when I get threads like this to sort of get the conversation going and see if we can plot something out or get something with a bit more traction. Myles also isn’t the easiest to get along with or to keep situations going, especially if they’re just... domestic/slice of life threads, so I try to make the effort to meet people half way. This does not mean you cannot send me random starters/asks. I’m totally here for it, especially if you’re “shy” and/or you have an idea you want to see happen. I get really excited about these and will usually come and talk to you ooc about it. So I guess it isn’t “unplotted” starters/threads, it’s ones that have zero direction.

3. I am not here to be a source of content for you. What I mean by this is that... at some point... I would very much like you to respond to our threads/asks. I know we can all be slow (I am 1000% guilty of this) and I will never rush someone for anything because this is a hobby and it’s not the serious, especially now that current times have us all mentally exhausted 24/7, but if you have all of our drafts or haven’t answered a single ask, but you still some how want me to create content for you (you’re still sending me asks, still writing starters/etc) I’ll just stop replying to your things, because I’ll know that nothing will ever come from responding. Usually if I get to this point, it’s really hard for me to get out of it. I mean, even any interaction as simple as just talking or plotting or questions ooc where I know there’s a ‘give & take’ or a mutual feeling that both parties want to interact so that it doesn’t feel completely one sided is good enough, but this could also be why plotting has taken a standstill. Maybe the plot or story we have going can’t move forward without knowing what comes next -- never be afraid to tell me you want to drop something. Maybe the thread just has you/us/me stuck! That’s fine and we can 100% pick up else where.

4. Did I mention I like plotting? sdkjgs My main point is that communication is always amazing and good and some times I’m not the best at it, but I’ll usually always respond eventually. Give me tons and tons and tons of AUs. Some times things might not work out in their default verses, but we can vibe some where in historical AU land or maybe take a dip into weird vampire cat AU or what if they were royalty. Shipping is always nice, but it definitely won’t always work, especially with the emotional baggage that are my two (three) sons.

I love me well explained and drawn out plots and further character development and all that sweet juicy stuff you can’t do in 2k words. I do enjoy me my one-shots, though.

I love, love, loveeee me a good crack fic but I read and write so much more angst. Oops my MCR is showing as is my teenage angst.

Apocalyptic or Mundane?

I have always loved apocalyptic books, ever since I was a kid. World changing events and how seeing how people make characters react to them is just so much fun imo... well maybe not for them, but for us it is. Mundane is also nice though.

Reading back through this I realize I’d probably just read anything you give me lol. Not a picky reader here.

* romance headcanons.

name: Sephiroth Crescent

nickname: multiple ones, usually given by his partners in various ways. he does not particularly care about what the ‘public’ calls him, so he will not react to anything they might want to bestow.

gender: male. he/him.

romantic orientation: demiromantic. Love or romantic affection is considerably hard for him, also because he does not place a significant value upon something that could hinder him in reaching his goal(s). even though Sephiroth would not go out and seek a partnership, he’s not averse towards it if feelings were to arise [ no matter what kind ].

preferred pet names: same as with the question for the nicknames, he holds no particular consideration and his partners will find affectionate names for him in however way they see fit.

relationship status: he is generally partnered in his verses.

favorite canon/fandom ship: I don’t ship him with any canon character from FFVII

favorite crossover ship: I love crossover ships and all the ships on this blog are indeed crossover based. Cecil being from FFIV, Mateus being from FFII, Mannimarco being from ESO, as the larger ships. The ‘smaller’ sideships [ they ain’t small--- ], with Thranduil from LOTR and Haurchefant and Estinien from FFXIV. - I love them all.

opinion on true love: it’s a nice concept, but nothing he truly believes, no matter the timeline he shows up in. [ exceptions to be found in AUs ]. to times of Crisis Core, there is the everlasting thought in his mind that he is not worth of it. that it would just lead to nothing, that it would all just fade the moment he got too close and would be too invested. That was a lingering fear to that time, swiftly being surrendered as well once everything around him spiralled out of control so but, to that time, it was a nice concept, yet nothing he would think on longer than need be.

as for the time after his fall? ‘true love’ is something Sephiroth never thinks about in any way. affectionate behaviour in itself is a ‘distraction’, the feelings behind it something he does not dwell on for too long, frankly, he has no opinion on it anymore and brushes it aside swiftly [ that changes, obviously, should he enter a relationship and he does so freely, but without a possible partner? those are his thoughts ].

opinion on love at first sight: he does not believe in it. being on the spectrum of ‘demi’ when it comes to all things considered romantic, he simply doesn’t care for it. it takes quite a long time for him to ‘fall for someone’, and even then, it will still take sometimes years for Sephiroth to reciprocate open words of ‘love’ [ like calling someone endearments ], so ‘love at first sight’ is something he finds rather silly, yet would not comment on it.

how ‘romantic’ are they?: once in a relationship, he will do whatever there is to actually make his partner happy. He’s fulfilling a lot of things ‘naturally’, so it’s hard to say if he tries to be romantic or if he’s just doing specific things to ensure that the person he’s with is actually happy and content. To be honest, it’s a bit of both. Those general things like: cooking dinner, setting up a bath, buying and bringing home flowers, mostly before his partner is at home, are all things he does because he wants to make them happy. Going out for dinner or for dates is just something he perceives as a part of any healthy relationship [ shocking, I know ], you could say it is romantic, but he does that literally all the time just to see a smile. [ most ‘modern’ sounding things obviously rather apply to AUs ].

ideal physical traits: honestly, he’s barely bothered. a clean appearance, clothing in order and nicely set, a good smell. Sephiroth’s not really superficial, albeit he does have a ‘type’ so to say, so I will leave that answer for below.

ideal personality traits: he does like people with a clear self-esteem. That does not need to be brash or ‘out there’, but the form of self-esteem to get up against him as a person. To tell him when his actions are irrational or hurtful and to search the conversation with him and not shy away. Additionally, they stand up for themselves, speak their mind to those around and follow their own believes and dreams: he finds that rather attractive. Underlining danger is always interesting, the fact that his partner could push him down if they wanted to is something he personally will even encourage. That they could be ‘dangerous’ for him and also are teasing enough to make no secret out of it [ at least not around him ]. Testing and taunting, playing with what he wants and desires, being a little bit arrogant is also something he likes. And then: just acceptance, patience as he’s a very patient and compliant person when it comes to his lovers.

unattractive physical traits: being dirty and unkempt. obvious smell that one hasn’t showered in quite some time. he’s not too picky, but if a person is generally sloppy or does not care about their own appearance, it will put him off immediately.

unattractive personality traits: overly abrasive personalities. Those that think that all they do is the best ever, even though that their achievements are only granted with the help of others or over unjust means. He doesn’t particularly care when it’s people who do have the power and the means to be that arrogant about themselves, but otherwise - and if he’s getting too impatient with said behaviour - he will show them pretty quickly that their speech is for nought. Cowardice is something Sephiroth will not deal with. Just assuming he will do something out of the ‘good of his heart’ is ridiculous. Naivety. Rudeness gets merely an eyeroll from him, even ‘playful rudeness’ is barely permitted and won’t get anything out of him. Basically, don’t be an asshole.

Important is also someone who does not want to change him because he won’t. The very idea of: ‘oh, he just needs to be loved, then everything will be fine!’ will clearly turn him off and will end badly shall only an inkling of it arise.

ideal date: it always depends where they are and what kind of timeline it is. in most cases, he would prefer to stay home with them, make dinner himself and just spoil his date in the means that they would enjoy. if they would like to go out somewhere, he would comply, being able to adjust in any means possible. as he would go out with his partner anyway from time to time, the term ‘date’ is artificial to him, given that this just relates to a normal part of a relationship for him. so, whatever the other person wanted, would be fine.

do they have a type?: he does. long, light coloured hair [ at least to the shoulders, but also longer than that ], light coloured eyes. a strong physical built [ he very much enjoys muscles and a strong back ]. fair, or even features. a finely cut jaw. he doesn’t particularly care about physical height [ given that a few of his partners are shorter than him, others are taller ] but a natural elegance when a person walks and high self-esteem and knowledge about self-worth are important to him.

average relationship length: His ships usually tend to have a very long relationship length, spanning years, in cases even hundreds of years [ due to the immortality of his partners and himself ]. as he holds no interest in anybody once Sephiroth is together with someone, there is nought that would disturb it.

preferred non-sexual intimacy: just enjoying time together. Lazing around on the bed or sofa and reading together, or reading for one another. Cooking or just going out for a walk, simple pleasures, really.

commitment level: he’s utterly committed. completely and nothing will make him even consider looking at someone else, what explains the relationship length to be of a nearly unattainable level. it not only extends to ‘romantic’ ships, but even ‘ships’ that have a deeper emotional impact on him or if he’s ‘engaging with someone’, he would not want anybody else and there is nothing to sway him from said person.

opinion of public affection: he doesn’t mind, nor does he truly hesitate to do so as well. kissing in public, holding hands, just holding his partner, initiated by Sephiroth or his partner, he won’t push them away nor does he even comment on them seeking this sort of affection, it’s just a given. he literally couldn’t care less about anybody around should any of this be wanted and sought out. remarks against it are pretty much shot down, returned rather sarcastically or merely ignored. there is also to note that with people he is ‘close’ to, he would accept notes of affection that are considered romantic by many, and associate them with platonic, but do not try it out if he gives no permission. it will end badly.

past relationships?: as he had no actual relationships before his ships on this blog? there is nothing to comment about.

Without any offense intended, can I ask why you seem to care so much about who is the more dominant/submissive one in Alec and Magnus's relationship? You seem to reblog and talk about that kind of thing quite often so I was just curious why. I mean no offense, I'm just wondering :,)

imma put this under the cut because it got really wrong (also: i take no offense! questions are fine and you’ve been nothing but polite! it’s totally cool.)

honestly, i don’t really think like. magnus only ever subs and alec only ever doms. i don’t hate it when people write it the other way around.

i personally like sub magnus/dom alec for multiple reasons: i relate to magnus and project things i like onto him, i think magnus deserves to let go and be taken care of for once, i think alec’s characterization fits more with him being the dominant sort in bed, etc. there’s also an element of spite--we’ll get to that in a sec.

i mostly dislike dom magnus/sub alec because a) it’s overdone, and by overdone i don’t mean “aw how cliche” i mean “LITERALLY EVERYONE DOES IT AND THEY PUT IT IN EVERYTHING AND MENTION IT ALL THE TIME AND IT GETS REALLY OLD.” b) it’s usually done badly--making alec ooc as fuck and into this like, homophobic stereotype of this infantile helpless baby? like, not just soft and vulnerable, but like, legit just this blushing virtuous damsel who can do no wrong and is obsessed with cock. stuff like that. not to mention magnus is often made into a cocky top with no feelings beyond “take care of alec” “accidentally hurt alec” and “fuck alec”, and i hate that and think it does both of them a disservice. not to mention it can get into making alec “the girl” which has sexist AND homophobic implications (ie being a girl =/= being submissive/soft/delicate/tiny/out of control/pretty/innocent, and being a bottom =/= any of those things AND =/= being a girl). not every fan or person who enjoys bottom/sub alec does this but it’s very common.

mostly i just dislike the fandom’s attitude towards it (calling anyone who enjoys bottom/sub magnus names and insisting they’re problematic, even when they haven’t done anything, and then the way they talk about/write bottom/sub alec) and when i get mad about something like that i tend to double down and stick to my opinion even harder because i’m a stubborn, spiteful bitch.

but also i just really enjoy sub magnus, ngl. both because of the whole i relate to him/like him and because like i said, i genuinely think he deserves to be taken care of and that alec would be a great candidate for that. i think alec would enjoy that, i think they’d both get a lot of pleasure from it, and i think it just works for their characterization. is there an element of “i think it’s hot”? sure. but look. lots of things are hot. thinking something is hot =/= fetishizing.

not to mention literally anyone who has ever accused me, a mlm, of fetishizing mlm, is like. almost always non-mlm (i don’t think a fellow mlm has ever said that i was, but it’s not like i do a background check on every hater, and lots of them are anonymous, so) and it’s ALWAYS a bottom alec stan who wants me to write bottom alec.

anyway, a mlm talking about top/bottom dom/sub is not in any way the same as like, a straight girl fetishizing a mlm relationship. people only ever bring that up in an argument when they dislike the other person’s choice of who’s doing what. they don’t really care about mlm or fetishization problems involving them one bit. (especially because they never call out the many, many bottom/sub alec fans who actually do do that? like, literally reducing alec’s character to “pretty little uke OwO” and shit. ugh.)

(note: this isn’t aimed at you, you’re just politely asking a question and i have absolutely zero problem with that, i’m just talking about some of the people who i DO have a problem with lol)

honestly tho, if the fandom wasn’t such a cesspool, i think i would have been a lot more open to writing about them switching, to having alec sub/bottom occasionally in my fics. but at this point, with all the gross characterization i’ve seen and the hateful anons i’ve gotten, i’m just staying away from it forever. i’ve latched on to my beautiful sub/bottom magnus headcanons and i’m never letting go :’)

but really i’m not trying to police what others write--if people like bottom/sub alec, good on them.

i just don’t like 1. super ooc characterization/fetishization, 2. trying to force me to write it, 3. when they just fucking add it into everything like. totally non-smut fic, randomly makes a comment about alec being a ‘total cockslut’ then goes back to fluffy coffee shop au. or when they suddenly turn it around in the middle of a smutty oneshot and their personalities do a u turn for the sake of their sub alec fetish like...... just write it like that from the beginning if you want that ok?? no need to be misleading and then butcher your own characterization???

i admit, the fact that it’s so popular it’s practically accepted as canon and is constantly shoved down my throat is really annoying, but i complain about it on my own personal blog--usually not even in the main tags--and i don’t harass authors who like it about it.

I’ve been tagged in a lot of stuff over the last week or so, but I’ve been so busy with writing for @wordplayfics that I haven’t had a chance to do anything! Anyway, the amazing @runaway-train-works, @allwaswell16, and @haztobegood tagged me in this challenge, so I chose a combination of 11 questions from all of your posts! :) thank you so much for the tags 🥰

1. What was your first ever fic you wrote and what made you decide to take the plunge and write it?

The first fic I wrote in general was a Malec fic, and I think I was just trying to find a new hobby at the time! The first fic I wrote for the 1D fandom was my Harry Potter AU, The Lone Hydrangea. The calibre of writing in this fandom is incredibly high, and I was never going to write anything one direction related, but I saw the @potterdirectionficexchange come up and it just felt like the right thing to do! It was terrifying and intimidating and so so brilliant to write, and it’s my baby.

2. Do your close family /friends outside the fandom read your fics?

Not really. My friends and family all know I write fanfic, but only my best friend has ever read any of my fics. A couple of my other friends are interested though, so I think I might branch out soon and show them a couple.

3. If you had to write a sequel to one of your fics tomorrow, which one would it be and why?

I’ve had a Ziam centric sequel type thing in my head for ages for TLH, but I have so much going on at the moment that I can’t even think about it.

4. How often do you spend writing in an average week and is there a certain time of day/day of the week you do it?

Ahhh it varies so much! I would say anywhere between 5-20 hours at the moment. I tend to write at work in my phone, after dinner on my laptop, or on the weekend.

5. What can people expect from your next fic?

Well my next fic will be for wordplay, and I’m still fleshing out a lot of details! The series is a uni AU series with each week as a different class with different ways on how Larry or Ziam meet, and this next fic will most likely be Ziam and full of fluff because honestly, that seems to be what I do best, especially in short fics.

6. What's your most popular fic and why do you think it's your most popular?

My most common fic is definitely the Met Gala coming out canon compliant fic I wrote before the event, Finally Their Time. Based on people’s comments, I think people enjoy it so much because it’s so fluffy, but also because so many people just wished it was true. It’s always lovely sometimes to pretend, and I think that’s the case with that fic.

7. What is your current WIP about?

I currently have 9 active WIPs, most of which are for exchanges or fests coming up that are anon. My favourite WIP through is one that isn’t for any of those, and is a Ziam Miss Congeniality AU with side Larry and ot5 goodness, as well as a darker, more sinister and convaluted crime theme and plot. I’ve spoken about it a bit already, but I’ll keep chipping away at it in the background while I smash out these others!

8. Do you read fics from other fandoms? Which ones?

I do! Aside from this fandom, I mainly read Drarry and Malec, but sometimes dabble a little in Johnlock.

9. What's an au/trope that you thought you didn't like until you read one and loved it?

I don’t know if this fits here, but I thought I would HATE amnesia fics, and then I forced myself to read For As Long As I Can Remember (It’s Been December) because everyone was talking about it, and I loved it more than anything. It’s one of my all time favourite fics now, and I can’t get enough of amnesia fics!

10. Has one of your characters ever surprised you?

Steve surprised me a lot in TLH. I really hadn’t planned for this character to go in the direction it did, and it just seemed to happen as I was literally writing the scene.

11. Do you avoid using any cliche fandom-specific tropes?

I sure don’t! I’m still new at fic writing, so you can pry ‘oops/hi’ out of my cold, dead hands.

Name shenanigans

So... I need to ramble for a bit, about names and stuffs. You don’t have to read. It’s just a long ass post about me and how I wanna be called lol.

My birthname starts with a V. My parents, my family, they refuse to call me by anything else than my birthname, and they don’t use the correct pronouns. At first, I was okay with it. Then, slowly, oh so slowly, my birthname (I won’t call it deadname. It’s not a deadname, it’s a really pretty name, and I love it. It doesn’t suit me is all.), well, it started making me feel weird. Bad weird. I started not feeling comfortable with my birthname and the pronouns my family used. And when I mentionned it, my parents said “But you’re our daughter for 18 years now. We can’t change the way we talk now.”. It hurt. A lot. I started asking people not to use my birthname anymore at all and use male pronouns in french (I dislike the neutral ones, they sound weird to me, they’re a combination of male and female pronouns), even in front of my parents. My friends agreed.

Now, let’s be clear: I’m genderfluid. I’m non-binary genderfluid, I change gender depending on a fuckton of factors and variables. I’m proud of who I am. The reason I use male pronouns in french (and a few other languages), is basically a choice of aesthetic and sounds.

I’ve watched the videos from Thomas Sanders for a while now. Sometimes I stop and then I catch up, but the point is, I was watching them before the Anxiety character appeared in the Sanders Sides vids. And as soon as he appeared, I could relate to him a lot. If you ask me, I’ll say I’m a fusion between Logic and Anxiety (and I’m not using their names for a reason btw, just you wait). But Anxiety is really close to who I am, me who has so much anxiety issues that I spent a year locked up in my room, barely going out, and who has at least 1 panic attack every week. I loved the character right away, even when he was often depicted as a bad character. Because it was me. And then, Thomas revealed his name, his actual name. Virgil.

Now, let’s look back at my birthname, shall we? It’s an Eastern-European name, doesn’t really exist in my country (apart from the North-East that belonged to the germans at some point, hm), it’s really common in my other country (I’m half french, half german), and it’s a common name in my grandpa’s home country (Hungary). It’s pretty uncommon to hear it, when you can pronounce it properly, you can’t write it properly, and when you can write it properly, you can’t pronounce it properly. It starts with a V, and it is actually close to Virgil, to me.

I immediately became confused. I didn’t know how to feel about the name. It was pretty, sure, but... Did I like it? It reminded me of my birthname. And I was at a moment of my life where I hated my birthname because my parents wouldn’t let me be myself. So. Virgil. I didn’t know how to feel at that point.

Cue to a year or so? After? (Just checked, and yep, around a year after) At the beginning of this school year, new school, new city, new people. A friend of mine (@/morporkianhobbit) gets into the Sanders Sides vids, and talk about it a lot. I watch them all all over again, to remind myself of the details, because my friend tends to ask a bunch of questions about very specific stuffs, and I want to be able to help her understand what she might’ve missed. I met her as I arrived on my first day, we spend hella lot of time together, she’s super supportive, and honestly, going back to an old fandom to have more discussion subject with her is one hell of a good idea. My old rp group gets sort of back together, 3 of the other 5 people who were there before agree to rp with me again. This time I rp a side as well. I look at more famders blogs, meeting new people in the fandom. I stumble into @/sugarglider9603 (I’m not tagging anyone bc I don’t wanna bother people tbh), and I fall in love with her Mario AU. After a while, she and @/galaxy-lilies make the Spiderverse Sides AU. I love it, and I love the Into The Spiderverse movie. I created a bunch of AU the past few months. I enter the Spiderverse discord.

Now, about my name, in the meantime, I’ve learned a bit. I don’t hate my birthname anymore. My family still isn’t supportive of my gender (and my parents still aren’t convinced the ace spectrum exist, but at least I can date whoever I want, as they don’t care wether I like a gender or another, and my own mother tells me she’s pansexual). But my birthname is pretty, I don’t live with my parents most of the time, and I’m meeting new people, people who respect my pronouns and name. As for Anxiety’s actual name, I like it. Virgil is a pretty name, an amazing name, and it doesn’t sound that close to my birthname anymore. It isn’t painful to hear it anymore. I made peace with both this name and my birthname.

On the discord server, we start rpying. I call on Virgil, so I get to rp as him. I cannot remember anyone’s names, to be honest, unless the person repeats it to me several times, and I’m always convinced imma mess up, hence why I give people nicknames. Our Patton starts calling us by the name of the character we rp. I join her in on that. They all call me V or Virge. And I’m okay with it.

I actually like it. I feel like it fits, even.

I talk about it to my best friend (@/hecking-garbage). They say it’s because V refers to “Virgil” and not to my birthname anymore. It does, but that doesn’t explain why I feel like it fits. I ask another of my friend (@/angels-and-dreams), who says (and I quote there) “Maybe you can just call yourself V, with a spelling like Vea or Vee or something like that“ while I see what I’d like to do with my name. I like the idea of being called V or Vee for now, and see how it goes from there. That’s my choice. And I add that “Vee. Huh. I like it. And I could actually ask my teachers to shorten my name to Vee, as it is the beginning of my birthname, and wouldn't seem as strange as Aky.“, which is true. I decide I can actually go see my formation manager, to ask her if I can change my name in the school papers, so the teacher would gender me properly.

This is what I’m going to do next week. I’m going to ask my teacher to call me Vee, and see how it goes from there.
