I would've loved for it to be all this time but i always play the album top to bottom that's probably why the greatest is my most played (great song btw! I love it). From walls, always you. But my all time most played songs by Louis are bty and jho (it's Spotify's doing).
favorite louis lyrics: it's a crime to ask this question to a Louis Tomlinson fan bc the man is a lyrical genius but right now it's either "and i keep on building mountains hoping that they'll turn to gold but the truth is i still doubt that what i do can get me home" or "it's an old curse dreamers diving heard first broken beaks and dead birds can't get through the glass and there's no use crying over spilled blood caring only kills love a kiss won't bring it back". I think I'm finally recovered from finals, so it's time to share my Spotify Wrapped!
The Bleachers version of "Anti-Hero" is superior btw. It's the sax in the bridge, guys. THE SAX IN THE BRIDGE.
After three years of Red Velvet as my top artist, from 2020-2022, things have changed considerably in my top artists list! Both RV and Twice are still in the top 5, though--where they've been since 2020!
Repeats from past Top 100s:
-> Four years in a row with "11:11" by Taeyeon, starting in 2020!
-> Three years in a row with "My Back Pages" by The Byrds, starting in 2021!
-> Three years with "Lovesick Girls" by Blackpink, starting in 2020 (but skipping a year in 2022)!

Thanks for the several songs tagging during the summer @mctna2019 @rhaenys-queenofkhyrulzz and @pashminabitch :) (and so I'm sort of replying to all of you at once?)
I'm generally more into soundtrack/classics than songs and I don't really use spotify but make my own MP3 playlists for in the car (i'm so old), so instead of the usual spotify shuffle i'm giving you the top 5 instrumentals I listen the most to lately?
-Time of JungHyuk for Seri (CLOY OST / Nam Hye Seung, Park Sang Hee)
-River Flower / Garden of God / The Warrior / Kingdom / Sword of the stranger / Lost Castle / My Country / Battlefield, selfmade mix with my favourites cut bits (i prefer listening to the whole titles whenever I can, but without the quiet parts you can't really hear above the engine/traffic noises is just better suited and safer when driving without having to fumble with the volume all the time) (MCTNA OST, Rain Wolff - and then choose the tracks)
-The Day and My Love and… (TKEM OST 1 2 / Lee Geon Yeong, Gaemi)
-Moonlight Sonata I & III (Beethoven)
-No Time for Caution aka Epic Docking Scene (Interstellar OST, Hans Zimmer)

-Alessandra - Norway - Queen of Kings 2023 (btw we voted for Lureen this year (because she was in our opinion the best singer (there is POWER in her voice, okay) - tumblr, don't hate us, please), but this one was a huge favorite song too. third (and atypical winner of the year in our hearts indeed) was Finland Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha)

-Italy - Mahmood - Soldi 2019
-Alexander Rybak - Fairytale - Norway 2009 (still such an iconic catchy tune)
-Iceland - Hatari - Hatrið mun sigra 2019 (each year we give a special award out of our own - 'atypical winner of the year')
(PS: any european pretending not to enjoy eurovision is a liar who lies :) (or not - anyone is free to like it or not of course i'm just joking, but in my family it is actually a year milestone tradition: that's how i grew up and that's what i passed on to my kids : gather all in front of the tv with snacks, and someone keeps the votes of everyone on a chart song by song:))

Ok, I need to know your fob album ranking and top 10 songs, GO!
oooh okay so i need to start by saying that i am heavily biased toward their older stuff because... i've listened to fall out boy since i was probably too young to listen to fall out boy AFGKJDF and their pre-hiatus albums essentially shaped my music taste and helped me get through a lot of difficult times in my life. so i'm really just generally more attached to them than the rest but i do like every single one of their albums at least a little because they all have songs i love. i also had to think about this a bit and am still not sure if it's a perfect ranking because i'm incredibly indecisive. but this is what i'm feeling right now! (also i apologize in advance for adding a bunch of commentary and rambling instead of just giving you the ranking LOL)
albums:
from under the cork tree - was the first FOB album i ever listened to so i'm biased but it's so fucking good. especially if you include the bonus tracks from it. there is not a single song on here that i don't love.
infinity on high - contains my favorite FOB song (okay maybe it's illogical that my #1 song is from my #2 album but listen... it's a very close #2), aesthetically has the coolest album cover, and it's just fantastic all around--again, especially if you include the bonus tracks.
take this to your grave - i feel like a lot of people hate TTTYG nowadays and i'll never understand why. it's a great album. it's classic pop punk and just pure fun.
folie a deux - literally never understood the hate this album got when it came out!! it's so good!! i remember listening to the whole thing the same day as it dropped and loving it and being so confused seeing how much people complained about it :(
so much (for) stardust - okay i actually love this album so much that #5 feels too low but if i switched it with folie then #5 would feel too low for folie so idk 😭😭 my favorite post-hiatus album BY FAR though. it's sooo good and it's also special to me because i literally never got to see fall out boy live until they toured for its release last year.
save rock and roll - has some misses for me, as do the albums i've ranked below it, but overall i like my favorite songs from SRAR more than i like my faves from the albums below, and it gets bonus points for how cool the youngblood chronicles is + the nostalgia i associate with FOB's return from their hiatus.
american beauty/american psycho - ABAP gets a lot of hate but i think it kind of rocks actually and putting it at #7 feels slightly wrong. it's really only this low because something has to be and because again, i like my favorite SRAR songs more than my favorite ABAP songs.
mania - i think a lot of people on here get mad if you put MANIA last so i'm sorry afksjgdsf. it honestly just has the lowest number of songs i really like and has several that i don't. though i will say that last of the real ones is a certified banger and i was so glad it had a permanent spot on the tourdust setlist.

hum hallelujah - my beloved 💙💙 when i saw FOB live they had a slot on the setlist where each night they'd either play bang the doldrums or hum hallelujah and i won't lie, i did feel disappointed for a second when doldrums started. i got over it because i love that song too but. hum hallelujah is one of my all time favorite songs.
i slept with someone in fall out boy and all i got was this stupid song written about me - my favorite song on FUTCT and another all time fave. i also think this is the funniest song title of all time btw.

love from the other side - this was literally my top song of 2023 on my spotify wrapped. i made an angsty raeda gifset with lyrics from it not long after the single came out because it made me so insane.
sugar we're goin' down - might be a bit of a basic choice but it was the first FOB song i ever liked and it fucking slaps 💖 also when i saw them live i swear patrick changed the lyrics to "wishing to be the friction in his jeans" which is just. legendary and iconic of him.

Do you want a Rita roundup? Her new album is coming soon-ish, like early 2023, she said it’ll be about the things she normally says out loud but has decided not to talk about this time, like her relationship. They’re going to be living in NZ partly, she’s building a team there and learning Māori but she’s worried she’s mispronouncing things. She went to rehearse for the rugby halftime show and his kids were with her. Her house is insanely beautiful, like truly magical how do places like that exist in the middle of London? Louis Theroux interviewed her for his new series, I think that’ll be interesting because she’s so fun to listen to and so charming, actually. People think Taika is mostly offline now but I know he isn’t because we race each other to like her posts first, every time. She’ll be performing for 40k people live and it’s streamed worldwide which sounds terrifying but I believe in her, if nothing else she’ll give us a full look to focus on. I desperately need to know what Taika’s favourite song of hers is and I desperately need to know what her thoughts are on ofmd. She will most definitely top my Spotify wrapped this year.
